The hotel is clean and has a charm to it. It is quite and the area is well kept. If you have a car it is accessible to the main highway but if you do not have a car you would have to pay at least ten dollars each way to go to downtown St. Paul. No shuttle to the airport.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were not very nice. The carpet seemed dirty and the tub and bathroom were not very clean. Breakfast was good and pool area was nice.

We had a great stay.. wish we could have been able to have more time there . We had to leave early the next morning and so didnt get to enjoy the pool. But the room was so roomy it easily fit our family of 6 very comfortably and that was so nice . Room was very clean as well !! Very nice place .. would def stay there again

The only hotel in my many stays, where the room loggia overlooked a grassy yard with trees, and not a parking lot. Large and comfortable room. Two sinks. There were some maintenance issues. The bathroom door would not close, the mini-fridge wasn't clean, and the hair dryer was missing from the room. But the staff was helpful, the pool was clean, breakfast was great, and the bed was comfortable.

We booked through Hotels.com and were assigned a smoking room. Being that we were traveling with a newborn and 2 year old the front desk attendant recognized that wasn't our preference and made the change for us. We had a lovely room on the ground floor interior and it had a little patio with table and chairs and there was an open area for our 2 year […] old to run off some energy. The pool is awesome! The breakfast is good with a nice variety of hot and cold items. When I checked into my room, I discovered there were 2 lamps with burned out bulbs; I called the front desk and the maintenance man knocked on my door 5 minutes later and replaced the burned-out bulbs. I will stay there again.

There are several good and bad points to this hotel. I'll list them accordingly. Good Re-doing the entire hotel Awesome housekeeping staff Awesome construction workers Nice beds Bigger bathrooms Fantastic air conditioning A+ free breakfast (french toast, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, muffins, bagels, juice, milk, water) Bad Major construction […] going on in July 2012 Received the room at the furthest point away from the breakfast and pool Rude customer service at front desk Empty vending machines They turned the water off for a 5 hour period during our stay which wasn't pleasant while traveling with a 2 year old. There was a drug bust in the parking lot at the entrance of the hotel (that was scary) The hotel parking lot is shared with some building that is constantly having taxis coming in and out and they drive so fast without a car. They were remodeling and so be aware of that. Their elevator does not work so be aware of that also if you are staying with someone who is handicapped. They had us for an upstairs room and had to move us to another room and it was only a king size bed because of one of our friends used a wheelchair and we had three adults. They gave us a free fold out […] bed but it had a very thin mattress so I took it off the frame and slept on the floor. The atmosphere is very nice if you over look the construction. We got a great rate for our room, and received a free upgrade when we arrived. We arrived a bit before their check-in time, and they graciously allowed us to check in early. Great hotel! Nice indoor pool with fireplace, Rooms were large, comfortable beds, and 3 large pillows per bed. Breakfast was outstanding. Eggs, meat, waffles bagels, toast, yougart, fruit, juice and coffee. Had actual glass plates, glasses, coffee cups, and silverware. Nice change from plasticware.

For the most part it was a good hotel. the pool was closed which we didn't find out til we checked in. The rooms need to be updated. The shower and the tv especially. the continental breakfast was AWESOME! One of the best we've had anywhere. the staff was also very nice.

We had a reservation at another hotel and found the room was too small so we reserved this room last-minute. Big mistake! This was not the nice Country Inn we've experienced before. This hotel looks like it was built in the 70's and just patched up ever since. It was really run down. The carpet had holes that were worn completely through. The frames […] around most doors were chipped. To make an already bad situation worse, the second night we had to listen to an entire bus load of teen-aged monsters who, obviously, had never been away from home before. The front desk staff was not to be found when we first checked in. There was a gentleman in front of us who had to yell "hello?" several times before he was even served 10 minutes later. We requested a non-smoking room at the front desk but recieved a smoking room instead. The hotel was very quiet and close to fast food and eat-in restaraunts. As well […] as shopping stores (target, kohls, etc.) The hot tub was a huge disappointment. It wasn't even as warm as bathtub water (we returned to the room instead and just sat in the tub, which was a million times better). The staff said they were working on it. Our room smelt like cigarette smoke, smoking rooms across the hall. Pulled the sheets back on both beds and found lots of hair. Asked for clean sheets got them but employee didn't know how to make a bed. The hotel seemed run down, dirty and needs to be updated. The restaurant was closed due to remodel. I really can not say anything good about this property! The front desk was rude and gave us a different room from what we had reserved. When we did enter the room the real nightmare began! Few things: mold on the wall, both drains were plugged, shower stayed on massage, shower curtain was stained and the bathroom door stuck so you could not shut it! […] A few other rooms were booked with our relatives and they all agreed that we would NEVER be back at this hotel. This Hotel appeared to be falling apart around us. It is in serious needs of repairs and remodeling. The exterior had chipping or faded paint, broken screen doors, and some completely knocked off track of some of the ground floor rooms. The room was damp and musty as if there was water damage, and there was black mold coming down from the ceiling in […] all the seams of the wallpaper. The common areas looked like they might have been fashionable in the 80's. The main reason we were staying was for a pool, and the pebbling of the pool deck was disintigrating under our feet as we walked across it. The staff was friendly but the room was not very good there were peace of the ceiling falling off and into the bed on the sofa. There was way to much noise from kids running up and down the hall and when the room was cleaned they did not change the sheets. Out of a 5 I would rate this hotel at a 2.5 needs some work!!!!
