I thought that this would be a good, cheap place to stay for one night. Hotel staff didn't answer the phone when we called to check the status of the airport shuttle. When we arrived it was dirty with piles of trash in a glass-doored vestibule off of the hall and we were unable to sleep because of loud yelling in the hall all night. The hotel is clean and for the rate you can't beat it! The hotel shuttle adds a nice touch and we were able to also get a shuttle from the airport to the Jersey Garden Outlet Mall... overall it was a great experience and I had no complaints. Good location with shuttle to and from the Newark airport. The neighborhood is industrial and unless you have a car you must eat in their restaurant. The food was of average quality. I drove to the hotel from Washington, DC. I chose this hotel for its price and convenience to Newark Airport and free shuttle. My nephew flew from Atlanta. The shuttle operated on the half hour. We had business in Newark and were able to take the city buses between the airport and downtown for an economical $1.50 each way. The reservation did not mention […] that there was a $15 per night parking fee. The room was clean and comfortable. Two double beds was what I reserved and the room included a refrigerator and microwave oven. There was large desk to work on but the Wi-Fi did not work. That was not a problem for me as I carry my own hot spot but I believe Wi-Fi was advertised. Check out time was scheduled at Noon but I was offered a 1PM checkout and my key was reconfigured to use the extra hour. That was extremely helpful as we got back at Noon and the extra hour allowed me to prepare and eat my lunch before getting back on the road. I will never ever stay at this hotel ever again. When I checked in at the front desk the receptionist advised me that I had to pay for parking at 15.00 dollars a day, so for two cars it cost me an additional 60.00 dollars, which in the past I never in my life had to pay if I stayed at a hotel, parking is normally included, but I guess in New Jersey […] they get you for everythng they can. The conditions of the bathroom and bedroom were deplorable. The bathroom had mold, which was painted over, the exhaust fan was there but didn't work, no switch was found anywhere to turn it on. Hotel is in a very commercial area, a little hard to get to. Once your there, the hotel is not bad, it's pretty clean, older, you can tell things have been repaired. Rooms are smallish, but adequate.
