"Driver sleeps beyond pickup time"
Service at front desk was excellent at checkin. But 3 of us waited a half hour beyond scheduled 4 a.m. pickup time for the 24-hour shuttle to arrive. And, only at our request did the desk call the driver. They gave the explanation "he sleeps" When he finally arrived he wouldn't take us to Terminal A although we were the only passengers on the bus. "Not a good hotel for a single travelling female."

We used the hotel-airport shuttle to reach EWR and then took the air train to Newark train station, which was free. I wish this hotel would undergo a renovation. New carpet and bedding would do wonders. The only issue I had was with the black woman behind the desk. She was rude and didn't even look at you when you spoke to her and when she spoke to you. Her attitude was awful. She clearly didn't want to be there and was not motivated to work at all! "Good for Overnight Stay Before Cruise"
This is definitely a no-frills hotel. I stayed here the night before my cruise. The hotel is situated in an industrial area, no shopping or restaurants nearby. There is a small cafe, bar and gift shop in the hotel. "Run down hotel sitting by itself w/ no amenities"
Stayed at this hotel for one night until we left for our honeymoon the next morning, the price was the only redeeming quality. Staff was rude, unaccommodating and the hotel is not by any restaurants or even shopping of any kind so you are forced to eat/purchase everything there. They tell you the shuttle is 24/7 but is on their time table, we had to […] call when arriving in Newark for it to pick us up at the airport and then when we went to leave had to spend $30 on a cab because the shuttle left a few minutes before 7am when we reached the lobby and the front desk refused to call them back and said we had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle to return. We could not wait that long and called a cab, who came in 5 minutes and got us to the airport before 7:30am. The staff barely spoke English and could have cared less that we needed to catch a flight. When we called the hotel for the shuttle, they said we would have to wait even though it was 2:15 am and we told them we had children. They said they sent shuttles every half hour, but one did not come for over an hour. The carpet in the room was filthy.
