Wifi issue, Internet never work they let me call Internet service and they not fixed anything . I stay for 4 days 3 night was very bad for me this is first and last time i will be in the hotel.

Real close to the Liberty National Airport, although there is restaurants nearby except the one in the Hotel itself. There are not much choice of food. Alternative is to order Pizza, or things like that. Hotel provided a menu card from an Indian Restaurant where a minimum order of $20 to $25 is required for delivery with an additional cost of #3.50 since the Restaurant is more than 5 miles away. For a single person it would result in spending too much money for wasting the excess food. A microwave and a refrigerator was in the room, which I did not use.

I was delighted with the room size and accommodations (refrigerator and microwave included!). I had pre-booked and pre-paid 2 consecutive night separately, and the desk staff consistently had trouble identifying a) my dual-night status and b) my prepaid status, which was annoying. Otherwise, the staff was helpful with information about the 24 hr shuttle which ran every 1/2 hr and with information about the NJ transit train to link to NYC and with information about NYC in general terms, offering a map at the front desk. Overall, I was able to relax on my layover and adequately collect myself between international and national flights.

i was totally taken by surprise how this hotel looked from other Howard Johnson Hotels. Way,,,,Way different. Hotel had a weird smell, beds were not very comfortable and no complimentary breakfast offered. Had to pay for parking, this should always come with your Hotel stay. Don't plan on ever staying here again.

I like this hotel because it close to my spouse family and friends....rooms are clean and staff are friendly...my first room was close to the ramp to the highway which was very loud. But I had my room change so that was cool. I never ate at the restaurant but a lot of people did. This is was my second stay. I would go back again.

No one speaks English. Parking is $15 per night which is ridiculous. No breakfast buffet but their cafe is ok and reasonable price. Workout room sucks. There is a shuttle for $25 round trip into nyc which was convenient. Rooms were pretty clean.

I just needed for one night. Hotel clean. Good facilities in bedroom, all clean. Comfortable bed. TV, internet. But all staff can not smile. Barely answer your questions. Just for long a stop over of your flights is fine. Driver of the bus is the worse. Really rude.

Only saw the desk staff ... we had problems finding the hotel bus shuttle - no-one had explained that you caught the bus at P4, but to get to P4 you first of all have to find and travel on the Air-Train. The hotel has a security gate and is in an industrial area. The 24 hour bus shuttle that is advertised was not as reliable as we would have liked - and if you need it after 11.30 or midnight you need to ring the hotel or you'll be waiting - my son waited for nearly 2 hours. The bed was comfortable but the furniture very dated and the room and bathroom were not clean enough - plus a crack in the shower wall. Some advice - the "heater" set up beside the bed was full of dust and its vents needed a very good clean - when we turned it on, it blew dust etc all over the bed - which did not impress me. The breakfast is not complimentary/free and we did not eat there. A local pizza place was happy to make a delivery after midnight - you cannot walk to any food places , because there are none close by

It is all you need for buisness travel! do not expect late fashion fornitures, but....... it is ok for short stays. You will need to rent a car. There is nothing nearby on a walk distance

As people say, you get what you pay for. I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. First off, you have to pay parking fees, which I think is completely ridiculous. The location of the hotel is literally across the highway from active airport runways which makes sleeping at night very difficult with the aircraft taking off. It is located in the middle of no where besides nicer hotels and the highway. The hotel staff was VERY unprofessional in person and extremely rude over the phone. The hotel looks somewhat decent from outside but inside looks like a horror film with "hobos" taking over he building. It does have a cheap restaurant inside but I never dared myself to eat it. The entire hotel, including my room, smelled foul like curry food and cigars. The hotel room is outdated with a small tv, the bathroom seemed decent to shower in, the beds are completely small and extremely cheap which is makes sleeping impossible. The pillows seem fluffy but after a few minutes, it becomes thin like paper. There are a few dings and rusted outlets on the wall. As a veteran, I rather sleep outside in the cold on the floor than in this hotel and its hotel paper thin sheets. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they give you two room keys. As a traveler, I do not recommend this hotel for anyone, including one night business people.

Very convenient to the airport. The shuttle driver and restaurant staff were both very helpful and professional. The main downside was that the room was a bit dusty. But if you're stuck overnight at Newark airport, this place has what you need.

Important to me is the room was CLEAN, Water was hot and worked great in the shower. Everything WORKED as it should. I chose this place since it was conveniently near EWR. The shuttle always came for us, staff always treated us nice. The hotel is not fancy or elegant it is a little old, i went to see New York, not spend time in the hotel anyway. It was about half the cost of one in the city.

Hotel room was fine. Front desk guy was ok. Airport shuttle driver at 5:30 am on Weds Nov 5 was terrible. I stood next to the shuttle and was ignored. A man joined me and was promptly asked where he wanted to go. My wallet was in a computer bag in the luggage we put in the back. I was planning to get the luggage and then tip him. He gets my luggage and sees that I am not holding out the cash for him and says (very rudely), "No Tip?" I decide right then and there not to tip someone who demands a tip!

Last minute hotel...pretty much just served the purpose of getting out of the car and putting my head on a (clean?) pillow... Planes fly overhead constantly. It's under construction. Dingy, room smelled like it had been a smoking room when it wasn't supposed to be. Towels were dirty... Would not pick this place again. Gym had few pieces of equipment, one treadmill wasn't worked when being plugged in. Double locked the door.

It was close to the airport, and free shuttle to and fro the hotel was helpful. The facility might not be the greatest. However, I would say I would not mind staying there just for one night. Only thing bothered me was that there were no restaurants close to the hostel. I had to eat at one small restaurant that was run by the hotel downstairs. But then again, it seems that you could buy all three meals there, including breakfast. The staff at the front desk was okay. There was WiFi, but I did not feel that it was fast enough. The price was rather on the cheaper side compared to other hotels I checked on. If it is a short stay, I would say I would recommend it. Nonetheless, don't expect the greatest service in town!

Pick up from the airport was quick but we sat in the van for about 15 minutes for some unknown reason before leaving. Hotel employees were very nice and attentive. We were on the first floor and in the hallway there was an smell I can't describe but it concerned me. Inside the room the smell not as bad. The room and bedding were all clean and neat but the bedding was worn and had fraying and holes in it. the bathroom was also clean and neat but dated and worn out. The furniture was also old and worn. The color of the room was very dark red, orange and yellow trim. In a pinch this hotel worked well for us and we were woken up on time and delivered to the airport on time.

Only stayed for a few hours, to sleep before flight, but front desk person was quite helpful in making arrangement for the shuttle to take us back to the airport. He ended up calling our room when we didn't show for the 5am shuttle-- thankfully!! because our alarm didn't go off and would have missed our flight! The place was clean and comfortable, although didn't get to sleep there for very long!

the location is close to EWR, 5-7 min drive. I guess people stay there mostly for convenience, such as catching a very early flight. This was my second stay, to catch an early morning international flight. The shuttle was on time and the driver was helpful with luggage. The room was clean enough, given the price. Staff was professional.

Shuttle driver drove by us at the airport without waiting to see if anyone needed a shuttle. We had to wait for him to come around again to get a ride to the hotel...and it was after midnight at that point. Otherwise staff were cordial and very helpful. Morning shuttle driver was very helpful.

This is an independent owned and operated hotel and I think Howard Johnson should be more selective of sponsoring this kind of place. -First problem, the staff: they were rude, incompetent and tries to solve nothing. Had problems with the air conditioning and they send the bus driver to look at it because the real technician won't come in in to days. -The shuttle bus to the airport was always parked in the lobby and no car can go through to drop off any passengers. If you ask the driver to move out of the way, the look in his eyes was priceless as "are you telling me that I need to stand up from this chair and do something". The other two shuttle buses that were not in use were parked in handicap spaces. -No real handicap rooms are available. They just install some support pipes near the toilet and the bathtub. No roll-in shower are available for disable people with walking problems. -Dirty towels and bugs all over the room. -No real smoking free environment. Everyone smokes at the lobby entrance and the smoke gets all the way to the rooms and the restaurant. -$15 a day for parking. No security at all. The arm for the automatic ticket dispenser is always up. -They are renovating the lobby and the entrance but I stayed a week and saw no one working on that. Just a construction mess all around. I'll need 3000 more characters to finish this. In resume, don't stay here. Look for any other real American operated hotel. This guys don't know how to treat paying guest.
