"Great Hotel All Round"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
It was a pleasure to stay at Hotel Canada. Nice people and helpful too. Cant wait to return to Hotel Canada. Thank You!
"A satisfactory stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The location is in between the Centrale train station and the city center (the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele). The hotel is a 2-min walk from the Metro station. I saw many business people staying in this hotel. The room isn't big, but other than that everything is good. It's comfortable and clean, hotel staff is helpful, and breakfast has sufficient variety.
"Excellent location, comfy and clean hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
I love the location, the staff was extremely professional and courteous. My room was small but very well equipped, clean, quiet and comfy. I have been a loyal customer of the UNA Hotel chain throughout Italy for years.

Milan’s central station is monumental; full of marbled halls, terraces and mosaic floors. It is Northern Italy’s largest and busiest station and, arguably, Europe’s most splendid. Most international and high-speed trains arrive here and there is easy access to the city centre by metro. Nearby soars the Pirelli skyscraper (Grattacielo Pirelli), Milan’s highest building and symbol of its prosperity.

The hotel was right next to the train station, it was a quality hotel, clean, nicely decorated, we had a fantastic room and the best bathroom of the trip and the best bed of the trip. This is a fine hotel!!!

"Great Hotel Right Near Train Station"
This hotel definitely exceeded expectations. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options and hot items. Room was spacious and very updated for a European hotel - We had a real queen sized bed and a nice modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend to others traveling to Milan.

"Stars Anderson hotel in Milan, Italy"
Great hotel and perfectly situated for the traveler. My only gripe is that you have to pay for internet service!!!
"Nice hotel with a few flaws"
The experience checking into the hotel was a hassle. There is no place to park a car, and we had to wait for a bell man. Upon leaving the hotel, we had to pay for the parking in cash, as the hotel parking garage did not accept credit cards. Plus, the parking was a little steep at 25 € for the night.
"Starhotels Anderson, Milan Get ready to rumble."
Lower floor rooms affected by underground metro, sound and vibration. Petty policy of charging (too much) for wireless internet access in room--or 1/2 hour free in lobby. Four star hotel with these rates should, in this day and age, include free wireless. Using it is no additional cost to the hotel. Also no ironing allowed for quick touch ups. Only […] option was for hotel to "send out" at an exhorbitant cost. So it was to La Scala in wrinkled shirts. Read more

"Great hotel experience"
For the price I payed, this hotel provided a superb service and excellent comfortable room. All of the staffs at the front desk spoke English and were very helpful. Breakfast is really good. Neighborhood is not that bad, and there is bus from Linate or Malpensa airport directly to and from the Milano Centrale, so it was so convenient.
"Starhotels Anderson close to train, modern, but..."
The Hotel itself is great. Was upgraded to an exec room which was really really nice. Breakfast was quite good. My only complaint was the neighborhood. I was there on a Sunday night and most of the restaurants in the area were closed. Those that were open were expensive, seedy, or subpar as far as the menu offerings. Probably should have eaten at the […] hotel. Definitely would recommend hotel. Read more

"Top Notch Hotel"
I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and was blown away for what I received for the price paid. The hotel staff was helpful, and provided some great insights into the city. They also let us check in two hours early, which was greatly appreciated following a long flight/bus ride in. The room was gigantic - felt more like an apartment without a kitchen. […] It was also very plush and extremely comfortable. The area surrounding the hotel was not that great, but the extremely close proximity to Stazione Central made it easy to get around the city. The breakfast buffet was nothing extraordinary, but it got the job done. Pretty standard fare there. The only thing that I would change, would be the internet service. It was cheaper than a lot of nice hotels that actually charge, but it would have been nice to have this service included. That was my own fault, though, for not reading the included services more closely. I would definitely use this hotel again, and recommend it to others as well! Read more
"Starhotels Anderson -- Not for long stays!"
I was at the Anderson for 6 nights; if it had been 1-2 nights it would have been perfectly fine, but it got uncomfortable with a long stay. It was perfectly clean and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate; the plumbing (plus a bidet!) and linens were excellent. However, there was not one comfortable chair -- I […] could either sit bolt upright or lay on the bed. The location was near the Central Station, so available to everywhere, though very little actually in the neighborhood. However I found one restaurant quite near: Giglio Rossi was relatively expensive (40-50 euros) but had superb veal; I went back there the next night. Overall, Starhotel Anderson would be perfect for a brief stay; after a few days it was adequate but not comfortable. Read more

"Great hotel"
Great stay at nice design hotel!
"Great hotel; Great location"
Of all the hotels in which we stayed during our ten day trip, this was among the best. Closest to the train station, easy to get around town using the metro, and the hotel staff, room cleanliness, and overall accommodations were all top notch. Would definitely stay here again.
"Back from lake Como"
We stayed 2 nights at the Star hotel Anderson. Extremely comfortable rooms, great bed, linen, bath and breakfast.. Very close to Milan central station as we came by train from Como and later would depart with the fly bus to the airport, also at the station.I recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay and good price.
VERY CONVENIENT ACROSS STREET FROM MAIN TRAIN STATION. SUBWAY RUNS UNDERNEATH HOTEL SO A BIT NOISY BUT OTHERWISE IT WAS A GREAT OVERALL VALUE

"convenient location next to Stazione Centrale"
My husband and I spent one evening here after flying into Malpensa and then taking the airport bus direct to Stazione Centrale which is right across the plaza from the hotel. We left early the next day taking the train to Lake Garda which worked out very well. The proximity of the hotel to Stazione Centrale is the main reason we chose to stay here. […] I would not base myself here to visit tourist sites in Milan--I would choose a hotel in an area closer to the center of Milan. Read more
"Fabulous hotel"
very central, very comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly.
"impressed"
Staff tried hard to please & did a good job.
"Good Value"
Hotel location is handy by the main rail station and a 15 min walk into central Milan. Decor is nicely done and newly renovated. The room was a bit small but very clean. Really good value for money. The staff at reception were quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite nice as well.
"An excellent experience"
We booked here because of the hotel's location. We arrived in Milan by train, had one day to visit the Duomo and the Galleria, and took the shuttle to the airport the next morning. The location was indeed great and the surrounding neighborhood was fine. What really surprised us was the quality of the hotel itself--the room was very nicely appointed […] (wonderful bed and linens, deluxe bathroom)and the breakfast was excellent. We've already recommended the hotel to relatives. Read more

"Service Excellent"
Right by the train station. Staff was helpful - above and beyond. Had been traveling for 10 days on research and had to mail stuff back home - they were helpful in telling me what to do, getting a box for my things and then even one of the staff carried it the block or so to the Mailbox Etc. The map of the city they supplied was excellent and the information […] regarding the public transportation system to see the sights was excellent. I had a most enjoyable time. Read more
"Just love this hotel"
On our recent trip around this part of Europe Starhotels Anderson was a highlight. The room was an absolute joy to be in - the epitome of modern design and presentation - we loved it!
"Close to train station"
Good
"Close to the Central Train Station."
You have to pay surcharge for the WIFI but you got 30 minutes free when you checkin.

"VERY NICE STAY"
This was a very enjoyable one-night stay. From arrival at the main door where a porter immediately took my bag, to check-out, it was a very nice experience. The staff are all clealrly well trained and well presented but at no point did I feel that their politeness was forced. "Just next to the central train station"
very convenient location, next to the train and metro station, but the only bad thing is that you have to pay 5 euro for using the WIFI at your room though the front desk will give you a password for 30 minutes free WIFI access. I would suggest the hotel to absorb that 5 euro into the rate of the hotel and I will feel better for using a "free" WIFI […] . Read more

"convinent transportation"
quiet near railway station, and is convient to the airport by shuttle bus and scenic spot by metro. The service of the hotel is very good, and the staff is proffessional.
"starhotel anderson, milan - beside Central Station"
What helpful, friendly and cheerful staff! Everyone from the "front of house manager" up to the "doormen" and "chambermaids" were consistently wonderful. they made the travelling itself all worthwhile and had great suggestions for eating houses - one of which was ultimately filled with fashionistas drinking water, smoking their heads off and hoping […] to absorb calories from the food on their plates by telekinesis rather than mastication. That was a really entertaining evening in which laughter was combined with great food, fine wine and lovely surroundings. Read more

"Just another 3 star hotel with good location"
Room is very clean and new. staff is not helpful when i requested to turn down heater. They didnt give us any solution when we asked them. Breakfast is exactly the same every morning. Location is good, not many eatery though. If you just want a good location, this hotel can be a choice. If you need more service, not recommended.
Very close to train station and subway is nearby.
"Starhotels Anderson - great location and perfect s"
The hotel is located opposite the main station so great for transport around Milan and also coming in from the airport. Interior is stunning and rooms very comfy. You even get a pillow menu! It's located opposite the taxi rank so there's always people about, which as a single female traveller, I liked. There's not much going on round hotel but lovely […] cocktail bar round the corner and duomo can be reached in 10 mins on the underground. Read more
"Starhotels Anderson Milan"
Great location just across the road from railway station. Buses to airport depart 100 m from hotel. Rooms large and comfortable.
"Starhotels Anderson - Ideally situated"
This is a quiet, friendly, comfortable, well-appointed, impeccably-run hotel. And, best of all, it is just across the road from the Stazione Centrale which is the hub for long-distance and international trains. Two metro lines cross there; buses to both Linate and Malpensa airports leave from just outside; there is a huge taxi rank. Perfect!
"Perfect location!"
I enjoyed staying here because of it's location to all modes of transport. Very convenient.
