"Go for the history"
A stateroom on the Queen Mary has romantic appeal and I'm glad I had the opportunity to board her, but make no mistake: This is a historic property, over 70 years old, and hotel standards have changed. The stateroom was quaint, clean, and comfortable. The service in all facilities was superb. The food was very good. Still, now that I've had the QM experience, […] I don't need to repeat it. "Watch when you book"
There was a wedding reception above our room that lasted to midnight. I complained about the noise but the only solution I was offered was ear plugs!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved the vintage Queen Mary cruise ship. Perfect hotel to get you into the cruising mode. Walking distance to the Long Beach Pier. Enjoyed the World War II tour since my father in law actually transported on the QM during the war. Lots of history. Would love to stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A delightful weekend"
I have never taken a cruise, but after my stay on the Queen Mary, I can definitely see the appeal. However, most cruise ships will certainly be a let-down, unless they all sport classic, timeless decor and exotic wood detailing throughout. The ship is still beautiful, even if the years have taken a bit of a toll. Much like a working cruise ship, there […] is something to do day and night, and the food is amazing, in all the restaurants. (Really, we tried them all--the most spectacular being the Sunday Champagne Brunch, highly recommended.) We did have a hard time getting housekeeping to come to our room after the first day with a "do not disturb" sign on the door. And the nighttime ghost-geeks tour was a colossal waste of money and time. Besides those little nits, it was a fantastic weekend, visiting friends and family, exploring the ship and its history, spending silly money in the shops, and relaxing in the sea air. "A good experience"
I would recommend everyone spend at least a night aboard the Queen. The beauty and the history are cultural treasures. However the complaints about it being noisy is valid. Spent 2 days and hardly slept 4 hours. Some areas are badly in need of carpet cleaning and in some replacement. Food was excellent. Hotel service was sub standard but I wasn't there […] for the service. Know what you are getting, it isn't a 5 star hotel but try and see it and experience it. I am glad I did but that will be the only time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Historical stay"
Loved it. Bathroom a little old but didnt mind. Bed was comfy and clean. Stayed in the deluxe room which is the bigger one w a widow. Rooms run small but over all good place I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We can say we've stayed there!"
Everything about the Queen Mary us lovely, including the desk clerk who was trying valiantly to satisfy guests with upgrades because king beds weren't available. Unfortunately, upgrades have twin beds. My 6'3" husband was a trooper as he slept in the tiny bed with his feet hanging off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great once in a lifetime Experience"
We loved the feeling of a Mid 1900's cruise ship. The ship has an old time feeling at a great price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very beautiful historic landmark"
Very nice historic landmark but the accomodations are closer to 2 stars. We booked a king size but got 2 twin beds. My husband and I were not happy since this was supposed to be a romantic getaway. They compensated with free breakfast to try and make it up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay away!"

"It is original for the most part."
I reserved a King and when I checked in I was given a room with two Queen size beds. The hotel said that they had over booked and this was the only room left! I did like the Queen Mary experience, just not the bed(s).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great experience, clean rooms, awesome service definately will stay again:)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This stay was a surprise for my Mom and Dad who had always wanted to stay on this ship. They enjoyed everything the Queen Mary had to offer. We especially enjoyed the Tea room and the wonderful service we received. The only thing they were disappointed in was their overpriced, uneventful breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Anniversary"
The hotel has so much history it really is something to see. The bed was so comfortable, but the walls are really paper thin. We had read this on the reviews and it is very true. Our neighbors decided to leave at 3:30 am, not their fault but heard everything. Glad we stayed but will probably not do it again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Unique choice for a hotel stay."
I flew in to Long Beach airport and needed a one night stay. The Queen Mary offered a unique choice and it was very enjoyable. Parking was plentiful, check-in was easy, and the Promenade Bar with great views of Long Beach Harbor was open to midnight offering not only current favorites but also drinks that were in fashion when the Queen Mary sailed. […] Loved exploring the ship the next day. Our King deluxe room was comfortable and clean with some original fixtures. Would definitely recommend! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A fun adventure!"
Staying aboard the Queen Mary makes for a fun adventure. Of course, the rooms are tiny & old fashion, that's part of the charm. We were delighted by our stay. A fun romantic get away! And the bed was surpringly comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Part of history"
The food in the bar was good, the room clean but hard to find and no one in sight to ask. I would not recommend the inside rooms the layout is very strange. If you have plans on the main shore side you will have to drive . So plan ahead. Front desk was sure we wanted to upgrade for an additional $30. Internet extra feeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"getaway with teens"
Stayed with grandkids, teens 15 & 16. Upgraded to the Windsor Suite, it was luxury, had a king room with bath, a stateroom, another full bath, long hallways, small twin room with sink/vanity. 2 tv's....felt like we were queens/kings! Wished we could have sailed away for weeks on end in those rooms! Service also is exemplary...everything you could wish […] for in a pretend cruise.... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fun adventure"
Our room was nice and we enjoyed the upgrade option that we were offered at the time of check-in. The staff was so helpful and shared how to use the free transit to get to the other side of the harbor. "Great historical value"
My stay at the Queen Mary was great! It was a Sunday night which probably helped. We arrived late at night and there were very few other guests walking around so we had the chance to explore almost the entire ship without running into crowds. I believe we only saw a total of 4 other guests. The only negative was that the walls are paper-thin and the […] guests across from us, who arrived at almost 2 am were extremely loud, yelling and making a lot of noise for a long time! Security was actually called on them and things improved after that. Just keep in mind that there are other guests staying there, and you're on a ship, not a brick building. Also, the comfort level may not be the same as a 5 star hotel, but if you choose to stay at the Queen Mary, you are doing it for the experience and historical value, not the comfort. It is a 1930s ship, afterall. Overall, the staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Definitely recommend it but maybe pick a Sunday or weekday if you expect to sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Royal Treatment"
We have stayed at the Queen Mary twice now, both times the night before a cruise. It is the best location for the cruise terminal. The highlight is always a tour with James to learn the history of the Queen Mary...he is the best and that tour should not be missed. The rooms are always comfortable and clean. This trip we also enjoyed the Tea Room. Great […] place to stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Interesting and historic place. It's in need of a refresh - the carpets and upholstery is dated and worn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Once in a lifetime is fine"
My 2 children and I stayed here for one night and requested a room that was haunted (as seen on popular ghost adventure show). Sorry to say that we had no paranormal activity, although the kids did try to get them to visit us. Some minor discomforts: bathtub not for a pleasantly plump person, toilet for shorter than average person, very stuffy at night […] with the heat on, luckily had porthole windows to open and get the bay breeze in. Check-in was great /Check out was good. Bit costly for parking and not sure why if we were guests of the hotel for one night. I can see if for longer term or visiting. I would say that this is not a place for children unless they are into ships and history. Mine were bored and they are 12 and 7. This was surely only a once in a lifetime thing and now can cross it off our bucket list. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice ship shame about hotel..."
The stay on the Queen Mary was very disappointing. My wife and I liked the historical experience on staying on such a famous ship but the hotel experience was very poor. Poor hotel service, they failed to service the room one day, poor range of eating facilities, they didn't make the most of the historical nature of the ship for its guests and there […] wasn't a lot going on in the surrounding neighborhood, you were marooned... "Queen Mary good for sleep only"
Room was nice enough, but very tiny (as usual on a ship)...we stayed outside on the deck most of the night. The view was nice!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
cool experience. This was a fun stay. Not set up like a traditional business traveler room. Internet in rooms was spotty. No desk. But worth the money. They've done a great job to recreate the feel of the era from which the boat came. At a discount to other more convenient hotels, I would stay again. A fun experienceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"This hotel is decent and special!"
The hotel is located at a convenient leisure and entertainment location just minutes from Long Beach downtown. The room is quite small, but is big enough for guest rooms on a used-to-be gigantic cruise ship. The room is a bit out-dated but it is so special to stay on a legendary cruise parked permanently with old glories so you may forget that the guest […] room is equipped slightly poor. And they mercifully remain many of the now non-functional equipment (like an antique fan or an old-school hose) that are really from the old days, that was interesting. And I have to say that the staff there were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you all for a joyful stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was an Interesting Experience"
The Queen Mary was an interesting experience. One night was more than enough. It wasn't bad but it certainly was not great. From a historic point of view, it was very cool. But as far as a nice, comfortable hotel, it fell a little short.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
