"Hotel on a Ship"
It was ok. Two problems. Walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbors very easily which is not a good thing. Showers should have something in tub to prevent slipping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Holloween fun on the Queen"
Went for Haunted Harbor had a great time even if they had to change rooms because of so event that happened before we arrived. Always a great stay my wife loves staying here so we will be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Next time I'll just visit for the day!"
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel in itself was very very old. I understand it's an old ship but some updates are needed as in the carpet. Overall the exoerience was good. The Promenade Cafe has horrific food though, I recommend everyone stays away from it. And my husband found a bug floating on his drink. Gross.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love this hotel"
I love the Queen Mary and stay there often. It makes me feel like I'm staying on the Titanic (before the iceberg!). The ship sits in dry dock but I had a great view of Long Beach from my port hole. Love the free shuttle into town for dinner. This is just a great hotel. Especially for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place to stay."
The hotel is very nice. It was quiet. I didn't like the 17.00 parking charge and the card to go in and out of the hotel parking lot didn't work. They also charge a 14.95 facility fee. So my 60.00 hotel stay almost cost 100.00.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pre cruise perfection"
We really enjoyed our stay-the history, restoration and art deco decor were amazing. The location was perfect for our night pre-cruise. Highly recommend staying here, so much more than a hotel for a reasonable rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Queen Mary hotel historical"
Although I appreciate the historic value and age of Queen Mary it is in need of repairs. We had a pleasant stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were there for Halloween/Dia de los Muertos. Loved staying there (again) and the Harbour Night mazes were very cool. Really enjoyed the historical tour! Will stay there anytime we are in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
wonderful experience plus it was Halloween! Couldn't have been betterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an enjoyable stay along with taking two of the tours. As noted on a sign in the room, sound does carry in the boat, so be aware it can be kind of noisy at night (or maybe it was the ghosts carrying on).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here the night before a cruise to Mexico. It was a great choice due to it's close proximity to the cruise terminal. The noise level was bad in our cabin because of an "Halloween" function outside the ship but they moved us without problem to a quieter spot. These rooms aren't fancy according to today's standards(for example the heating is […] very funky) but it was fun "going back in time" as it were. The tour is quite informative but even if you don't have the time for this, wandering around the ship is interesting. Nice hotel staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only my wallet was HAUNTED"
Had to stay there at least once just to say I'd stayed on board the RMS Queen Mary. Rooms are dark and dingy. Lighting inside is horrible, the room is dark to begin with and the lights are annoying. The pictures on the website look nothing like the rooms, while the room was quite large it was not well appointed at all. The TV options, if so inclined, […] are no better than regular TV without further upgrades. For the amount of money and taxes placed on the room your money is better spent elsewhere. Not even very haunted...!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The boatel (boat/hotel) was fine but it is more of a vacation destination.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Right on the water, lots to do and so very unique"
The beds are very comfy and the rooms are very neat that they have a lot of time period pieces. The bathtub is very strange and hard to stand in, extremely curved bottom? The remodeled bathroom overall was actually very nice. The room temperature was a little difficult to manage and the lack of outlets was a challenge. The haunted/halloween festivities […] were really neat and looked like a blast for those who like that horror/freak show kind of stuff. The haunted tours, Royal exhibit and shops were so much fun and different from any other hotel. The restaurants had excellent food and the endless decks to walk on and explore helps to work off the food that we ate. I highly recommend staying here at least once and give yourself 2 days to do all the tours and exploring on the ship. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was a great place to stay and very different. It was very comfortable. Would stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun Paranormal & Historical Tour"
It was fun to stay on the Queen Mary for a night and to take the paranormal tour but everything is way overpriced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Queen Mary Disappointment"
Unfortunately this trip was a major disappointment for myself and my family. The service was terrible, the condition and cleanliness was deplorable. Clearly showed it's being poorly maintained. High priced for low quality service. Most of the shop keepers were not very friendly and those who were, mentioned they had all lost their lease the end of this […] year since another company was taking over. I certainly hope they do a better job of maintaining this beautiful vessel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst experience Ever."
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Getting there and spending 45 minutes in line just to enter the parking lot, to having to carry all my clothes and luggage from the parking lot to the ship, where a bell man finally helped me. You had no available carts to use, so leaving was also a problem for me, but no bell man was available. […] The room was awful, I banged my head multiple times on the cabinet thatmy tiny single bed was shoved into. My wrist still hurts as a result of curling it to prevent from banging into that cabinet. Also old toilet facilities is not good. I am recommending all to stay away from your hotel. Overall a great stay the reasons for the four ratings were due to just being on an old ship, but that was the fun partGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A unique hotel"
We were visiting friends and family and wanted to stay in Long Beach the night before we left from LAX...the room was very comfortable except for the small bathroom and it was a little stuffy. We would have opened our porthole for some air but the night we were there was the Halloween celebration Dark Harbor...it was very loud on our side of the ship. […] I think it is a little expensive. "Elegant Ship Hotel with Great Attractions."
We love staying on the Queen Mary, and typically do at least once or twice a year. This year we have stayed a few times due to their Poseidon Pride party, and most recently Dark Harbor. Planning on another trip next month or December for Chill. Very cool to stay on an old ocean liner, you can just imagine her in her glory. Staff has always been excellent, […] this time was no different. Resort fee is a little high. How many people use a land line anymore, I don't even have a home phone. And no pool. And you have to pay for parking. So not really sure what the resort fee is for except to nickel and dime. Parking should be reduced for hotel guests. Dark Harbor was again excellent. Best Halloween even I have ever been to. Only issue is that after paying $306 for VIP passes, they closed the VIP lounge and we lost out on our last drink. Would have been nice to been informed what time it closed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We really enjoy the Queen Mary and have stayed multiple times. Our only real gripe is with the maid service. The room is passably clean upon arrival, but after that, the maids simply throw the beds together and deliver towels. The sheets aren't changed, the bathrooms and carpets are not cleaned, and occasionally, the trash isn't emptied. The rest of […] the staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are a bit soft for my taste, but other than that, they are fine. The ship itself is interesting and given that it's old and has been through multiple incarnations, it's in pretty good shape. I would definitely recommend it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for a Couple , but not that great for a famil"
Very Noisy.. I had a toddler who would not sleep due to continuous noise in the hallway. The views from the location are great, but for the cost, I feel its overcharge.. 4 star hotels in the same area were 30-40% cheaperGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For an 80 year old ship, the experience was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is an old ship, so it is not "bright and shiny" like a new Hilton. But the step back in time to a much more elegant era was a wonderful experience. My only regret is that I was on business and cold not extend my stay. I wanted to do so mor more exploring and learning about the amazing Queen. The food and service impeccable and the front staff welcoming, […] friendly and helpful. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else if I am in the Long Beach area again! "Good for old ship lovers"
Great hotel if you love history and very very old ships. Reserved this hotel, because wanted something unusual, but turned out to be a night in a overpriced old ship. Rooms have no insulation, so you can clearly hear all of your neighbors. Bathrooms and everything is truly shows that this ship is from 1930's. Parking and resort fees will add up to another […] $30 a day, and this without even a pool. Hotel is located in the existing cargo ship area, so nothing romantic for views. Beds are very uncomfortable and hard. This hotel is a great place to take a tour and see the old ship, but would not recommend living here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed here multiple times over the past couple of years and each time it's worse and worse. This time when we checked in, the room hadnt been cleaned. The bed wasn't made and the bathroom was dirty. At first they said there weren't any inside king rooms left so I was going to have to pay to upgrade. When we said that was unacceptable they upgraded […] to us to a window room. That room had a made bed but that's about all it had. The AC didn't work well and it was hot in the room, the TV and controller didn't work right and the room was dirty, especially the bathroom. For example there was toothpaste on the walls and the prior guests personal items were left in the shower. The location was convenient but we won't be staying there again. It's not worth the money with so many cleaner hotels nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worth it for experience but 1 day only"
There are a few more fees when you check in. $15 for fold out so paid $50 more for 2 beds even though told could sleep 3. Plus some taxes and then 15 for services even if you don't use them. So the cost sure adds up. Shower pressure is shocking but due to being old and a ship so can put up with it for one night.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was like taking a step back in time. The "ship of many woods " is fascinating. The Glory Days guided tour and the virtual tour gave us perspective on the history of this great ship. As an added benefit we were able to walk to the Catalina ferry terminal. Probably best not to move your car.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Quick Queen Stay"
Quick stay about the Queen Mary during a longer trip in the LA area. Very cool to experience. I didn't do any of the tours or really eat or do anything that cost extra onboard, but everything seemed nice and pleasing. The ship looks great, very cool to be able to wander around at all hours. It was very fun to stay aboard the Queen Mary in the hotel rooms. So much history on that ship. The room was larger than i expected for being on a ship. I loved the original craftsmanship of halls, rooms, stairs. The actual hotel service was a little lacking. They did not have the polish or professionalism that I was expecting from the Queen Mary. It […] was a luxury liner of its day with the highest guest service. Over all great experience - service should play up to the reputation of the great ship she is. "The Queen Mary is a Great Experience! ...but"
The Queen Mary is a Historical wonder and well worth a visit. We stayed for three nights in early October. They have a huge event going on that month, “Dark Harbor”. It goes on until 1:00 AM, ties up traffic for miles and is very loud. You need to pay $20 a night to valet your car but there is no way in to the hotel except to wait with all the people […] going to Dark Harbor and it could add 45min. to your travels. The rooms are typical of ocean liners of the period, the beds are very comfortable, cable TV and wireless Internet. They did not tell us that the thermostat does not work and you have to ask for AC from the central unit. We asked for AC but then there was no hot water. The staff tried and tried but could not fix it. The third night we were moved to a room in the stern of the ship that had both AC and hot water, it was great and I would ask to stay there from the start if you are choosing this hotel. The Restaurants and Bars on board are good and the service is great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Novelty of it"
we stayed at the Queen Mary because it was close to convention center but also because of the novelty of it and we did get tix for opening night to the dark harbor. It was so much fun especially since we paid extra for fast pass no waiting, and the lines were long! Room we had was very spacious bigger than normal hotel. Couldnt control the temp in the […] room, but it was very comfortable. We had inside cabin, fine because we only slept there. Ate at promenade cafe. Food was very good, however the wait staff made us feel that other tables were more important than ours. The view was fabulous, pleasant to eat to. Also, like a maze to find your room, ship is so big. I would stay again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Art Deco Decadence"
The Queen Mary is an iconic ship and certainly worth a visit and it's ideally located near the cruise and catalina ferry terminals. "Living History on Board the Queen Mary"
My Husband and I had a great time with 3 friends staying for an overnight on board the historic Liner. All of us are from Great Britain so it meant a lot to enjoy the stories from the past. The Art Deco interiors are beautiful and cabins clean and comfortable. We did need to spend extra money to upgrade our rooms as the Halloween Fair outside of the […] boat was very loud and intrusive. I was pleasantly surprised as to the room size and comfort. Next trip to long beach will find me at the Queen Mary again. I loved it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Won't do that again!"
I felt like they treated us differently because we booked this through Hotels.com. We were one of the first to check in and they put us in a room all the way at the end of the ship and told us that it will be noisy due to Dark Harbor. We heard loud music and screaming until 1:30 am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked a king size and all they had when I showed up was two queens. Separate beds is not what I payed for and it ruined the night! The rooms are ugly and there were stains on the sheetsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
