Lovely hotel, elegant, great location near public transit duomo restaraunts shopping. Breakfast plentiful and diverse with great service. Hours perfect. No concierge for train reservations, we had to go to a nearby travel agency. Free Wifi a little slow. Overall a great spot.

From the moment I stepped into the attractive lobby, I felt welcome. Amenities were as described. The single room was small with a large bathroom with tub and shower. The eye appealing buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. The lady in charge of the buffet was pleasant, solicitous and obliging.

The hotel in late April was extremely hot due to very poor insulation. At 9pm in my room in the 4th floor the temperature was 30 degrees centigrade. They moved me to a tiny room in the 1st floor, less hot but I still had to keep the windows open, preferring the noise to the heat. Hotel Regina is advertised as a 4-star hotel... Maybe this is true on an 8 star scale. Perhaps they use the appearance of the lobby to support the claim. The lobby was definitely the nicest part of the hotel. There wasn't anything overly horrible about the hotel, but there wasn't anything spectacular either. Cracked tiles in bathroom, shower caulking needed replacing etc. This is a pretty 'middle of the road' type of place, I found a good price on Expedia, and didn't spend much time in the hotel, so I didn't mind the negative side much. I stayed for two days at Hotel Regina. My double-room-for-a single was a nice size, very pleasantly decorated. The staff was helpful but reserved. The location, near the Duomo, was very convenient and on a major bus route. The street itself was a bit shabby and lacking romance, but safe, night or day.

There were two staff, one at reception and another waiting to assist with my luggage. The reception staff member was on the phone. On the overall, my stay in this room was pleasant. Two points however: -The fridge was not working which is not very convenient when you want a fresh drink waiting for you there.... - Also because of a storm, the internet wi fi was down for the last 2 days I was there which is not very efficient, it could have been fixed quicker.

This is a nice hotel, great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My only problem was that I found it noisy, even in a high up room towards the back - I think this was due to either the subway or the tram, but it did mean that I didn't sleep very well.
