The room was too small It was as if it were a previous storage closet turned guest room. Poor wifi service in the room They should charge less for this room. Great beach area. Did not have all the kids and college scene during spring break so it was great and restful. It was more family area

We really enjoyed our stay at the Raleigh. We had an incident when we checked in with cigarette smoke in our room, but the manager at the front desk promptly put us in another room and we had no other issues. Very friendly staff and great location on the beach, but you need to appreciate the history / Art Deco style to get the most out of the hotel. […] If not, you may be better off at one of the newer properties on the strip. Like most southbeach hotels, the rooms were just ok, but the pool scene and dining area was the best of any hotel i have been in at southbeach. I consider myself an expert as I have been at many southbeach hotels on the main strip and this is the one we will be returning to. The pool area is beauty beyond description and the dining area overlooks it. […] We will be staying at the Raleigh during my annual return to southbeach going forward. wonderful experience at the Raleigh. Service was excellent. The pool was a WOW - like staying at a 5 star resort. Unbelievably beautiful. Hotel was like a visit to the 40's -with beautiful art deco decorations. Excellent, excellent value.

Very old hotel, small room with very small bathroom and absolutely no space to even put your tooth brush. Room did not have any information about the hotel or its services. Elevators were very old and very dark. Hotel does not have any brochure for visitors. The Raleigh was wonderful from the start! South Beach isn't much to drive into...but once you step into the Raleigh you are immediately welcomed. Check in was quick and easy. Upon entering our room there was a beautiful orchid and a bottle of champagne along with a Happy Anniversary note. Not expected what so ever...but so appreciated! Krispie, one […] of the two concierges on staff, provided us with a wonderful recommendation for an anniversary dinner and a spa day...both at the Delano. She communicated directly with the restaurant (Blue Door) who continued with exemplary service with extra attention throughout our meal for our anniversary. We spent our days starting off by eating brunch at the hotel...food was reasonably priced and tasty. We hung out by the pool and sipped drinks...the margarita with the jalapeno tequila was fabulous!!! The bartender was attentive from the start bringing us water without asking. It's the special details of sunscreen at the bar along with chilled water that made you feel appreciated as a guest. The pool had people...but was never over crowded like other hotels in the area. And in our opinion there was no other pool that compared to the Raleigh's...the pool layout was fantastic...almost like each guest had their own private part of the pool to enjoy. We stepped out to the beach one day thinking we would spend a day their...but we turned around to go back to the pool. We plan to go back to South Beach and stay again at the Raleigh!!! Read more

I don't see how this hotel gets off charging what they do per night when the rooms resemble a Holiday Inn more than anything else! It is a joke and it's a shame I fell for it. The rooms' decor (or shall I say lack of), old carpet, cheap furniture, and layout are from another era and the walls PAPER THIN! I couldn't sleep because I kept hearing the next […] room's conversation - which was at a regular tone by the way, no screaming or anything. Normal conversation, I could hear like they were in the same room....not even with the TV could I drown it out. For the price paid, it was NOT A GOOD experience and I would NOT recommend it. The Raleigh is the stately home of South Beach. Understated, timeless glamour, chic and discreet. The perfect location for Ocean Drive and LIncoln Road when you want the buzz and excitement of South Beach, but a welcome, well hidden retreat when you need peace and quiet and relaxation. We were immediately upgraded upon our arrival to a garden room with a spacious, well-furnished terrace, thanks to the lovely lady at reception. They made a birthday tea for my wife and the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream would have made the Roux brothers proud. The famous swimming pool certainly lives up to its reputation and is stunning. Yes, the rooms maybe small, but that was the style in which The Raleigh was built. We only stayed at the Raleigh for one night, but I wish we had more nights there. You can't beat the location, close to private area on South Beach and close to shopping on Lincoln road.the outdoor restaurant at night, looks really beautiful, but did not have a change to eat there. The poolarea is wonderful, lounge chairs, beds and regular chairs, a […] bar, an amazing heated part on the pool and the area is not visable from the beach and trails. Though the hotel is old and could use a renovation (the elevators work eventhough they may not look like it), have a no complaints what so ever. Fully stocked minibar and snackbar. From the second we walked into the hotel everything was amazing. We received an upgrade on our room (went from sunset view to ocean view with balcony). The concierge was extremely helpful, offering us great ideas for dinner and places to go. The rooms were crisp and clean. We had the most amazing view of the pool and ocean. It had a fantastic mini bar […] and great toiletries. Also in the room we had nice robes and beach bags. One downfall was the TV. It looked good but sounded terrible and the picture was bad. The pool at the Raleigh is like no other. Architecturally it is stunning and it is the most peacefully atmosphere on the strip. The restaurant is great (although overpriced) as well as the bar (which too is way over priced). The Oasis is a great place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine. The grounds are kept beautifully. The beach is terrific. The chairs and umbrellas are complementary and very comfortable. Since the last time at this hotel, 4 years ago, not much has changed (and that is a good thing). Te staff is friendly and professional and they always make you feel special. South Beach has become quite a dump, so staying at the Raleigh was great. The only warning I have is check you visa bill when you get home. We were charged $55 for a soap dish that they said was missing. But with a quick phone call it was reimbursed. Read more

Das Raleigh ist auch unter der neuen Führung (nachdem Verkauf von Andre Balazs) stilvoll und charmant geblieben. Eine super Location. Es hat immer noch den schönsten Pool von Miami und ist eines der wenigen Hotels mit einem zauberhaften Garten, wo auch draussen gegessen werden kann. Hotel mit Charme an sehr guter Lage. Sehr schöner Pool. Zimmer sauber und gut - Charme der 50er Jahre wurde beibehalten - ersichtlich in Zimmermobiliar. Badezimmer eher klein und nicht mehr auf dem neusten Stand (Charme aus den 50er). Personal und Service einwandfrei, sehr gut und äusserst symp.
