"great hotel for a romantic evening..."
Comfortable, clean, well appointed rooms. Staff is excellent!!!! incredibly attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review
"What a find!"
What a gem of a hotel in the center of it all in LA! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this hotel. Not expensive and much more private and personal than a big chain... Will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The rooms are small but very nicely appointed. Convenient parking in lot adjacent to the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Super deluxe hotel, lobby - even the valet operation is a class actGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not worth it"
Nice and clean but too expensive for what you get. I'll just stay a little further away. Also they charge $28 to park in their parking lot per night. Even though you're staying there. Also, rooms are tiny.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It wasn't an extravagant experience but the hotel staff was great. Room decor was very nice. Space was very minimal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really enjoyed this conveniently located hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great lobby bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good ,would do it again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great boutique hotel"
What a find!! Great boutique hotel with a lot of history in Beverly Hills and reasonably priced. Rooms were small but very European and with all amenities. Staff was terrific. Great location for business or pleasure. I will return. A very enjoyable stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was very quaint and well-appointed. The rooms are on the small side, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, Comfy and a Quick Walk to Rodeo"
With a wedding to attend 1 block from Rodeo Dr, we wanted something within walking distance. Although normally we'd stay at one of the "name" hotels nearby, we took a chance on this boutique property as the pic's were cute and the price was great. And we'd highly recommend it! Small but cozy, very clean, and the staff interaction is fantastic. No hassles, […] no crowds, no problems. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms, but still nicely appointed and up to date. A very nice place to stay for an overnighter or for those on a budget who want the location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice European style boutique hotel."
Maison 140 is a small, very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. The location is excellent. You can walk to all the shops in Rodeo Drive (even though no one seems to walk in LA) and the hotel is central to most sites in the city. Parking is also very convenient in the lot next door (no back and forth w the valet) but it is expensive. The […] rooms are well appointed, very clean and nice, but also very small. Feels like a hotel in Paris or London as far as room size. Free wifi is a nice bonus. Bathrooms are nice but nothing spectacular and are on the small side. Free breakfast, somewhat limited but nice. Excellent coffee. They have a small bar which is comfortable and fun to hang out in. Most of the guests are European. All in all, a very nice stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location one block from Wilshire & Santa Monica that starts the triangle of Beverly Hills' shopping and restaurant district. Nice continental breakfast we thought was included but was still good at $14 extra. Met lots of international visitors while having a nightcap at the Noir Bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Publisher and advertising agency owner"
I was greeted by a delightful staff and the accommodations were perfection. What a lovely hotel. I had a short stay in LA and it was perfection. I really love the details like french press coffee and fresh breads and granola for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills!"
Beautiful hotel with some of the best customer service I have come across in a long time, situated in the heart of Beverly Hills. I can't wait to stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only downside to the hotel is that the rooms are on the small side. however, everything is attractive, clean, upscale with a great location and great customer serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"More like a guest than a customer :-)"
I've rarely been more pleased with a hotel. This is not your typical cookie cut inn and has a good bit of what I take to be the 'old LA' of the 1940's. It is a very quaint and unusual place in a central location. The staff was extremely helpful and looked after us very well indeed. We were made to more like guests and less like customers. I would […] be happy to stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable, quaint retreat"
The rooms are stylish, small, and spotless and the staff is helpful and friendly. There is only a tiny lobby with a bar area, with no other amenities so it's a nice place for a short stay. My only complaint was the television reception was horrible (circa 1970s grainy, snowy, picture), but they were nice enough to upgrade me to a more spacious king […] room in an effort to fix the problem since the engineer had gone home for the day. The bed was fantasticly comfortable, and the location was quite quiet, and the room had windows which actually opened for fresh air. Friendly and helpful staff so I would stay there again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small and cozy hotel"
This was a nice boutique hotel with clean interiors and attentive, friendly service. It's VERY small overall - the front desk, bar/lounge, hallways, room but as long as you expect that, it's a very nice place to stay, very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review
good position hotel, nice staff, the room is small but clean, comfortableGenuine Expedia guest review
"Maison 104 Beverly Hills"
Hotel is ideally located in Beverly Hills. Staff was very friendly and offered help on numerous occasions. They allowed my son to park his car in the lot during the day when we stopped for a few hours at the hotel for no charge. The room was very clean with an updated bathroom that had toiletries in large spa type permanent bottles available. Bed was […] somewhat soft and the room was very small with no space for my suitcase. This was fine because I was traveling alone, but would have been difficult with another person and their bag. Perhaps other rooms are somewhat larger. I would definitely recommend for a solo traveller or two people with little luggage. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel in Beverly Hills"
The hotel from inside is beautiful and very fancy. Location is not that great, but it wasn't a problem at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
Incredible staff, great vibe and not that stuffy I'm better then you vibe which is Beverly Hills.. Staying there every time on my future trips to LAGenuine Expedia guest review
"A nice surprise"
This is very nice place if you like the intimacy and class of a small private hotel. It's well located and easy to get to, a good value for its location. The staff were excellent, not at all given to the kind of arrogance similar places might exude. Their goal is to make you comfortable and to solve your problems. We'll stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent service. Staff very informative and earger to be helpful. Room well appointed. I would definitely return there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"fabulous location and boutique!"

Great quirky classic alternative to the larger hotels. Good location. Comfortable room, nice (albeit small) bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great overall. One problem is the hallways have an odor like a old folks home. The staff is terrific.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is within walking distance to Rodeo Dr. The staff was very professional and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The shampoo and conditioner are of great quality. The bed was very comfortable and the surrounding area is very quiet. Their coffee was amazingly good! This is a great hotel to stay in. I highly recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a Romantic Retreat"
Stayed at Maison 140 for the first time on a Sat. night. I selected the hotel because it looked romantic and I love historic boutique hotels. I also saw that they were participating with the VIP Expedia program. The manager passed us on to someone else only for her to butt in later. She intercepted once I inquired about the VIP upgrade. She said they […] didn't participate but then went on to say that they were at capacity and couldn't give us an upgrade. She then said that our room, which was a queen size room, actually had a king size bed which she considered an upgrade. We felt it only made the room even more cramped. The bathroom has a peek in window from the bedroom so there is a lack of privacy. This also allows tons of sunlight to fill the room very early in the morning. Not good if you want to sleep in. The walls are so thin that we could hear the man in the next room snoring. The only positive about the hotel was the man who checked us in---Henry? He was very professional and helped us find some late night food. Maison 140 is lucky to have him. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Maison 140 - Great Location"
Looking at the map you'd think it's right on Santa Monica, but it's actually tucked away. For the price, this is a great find. It's also equidistant to the major agencies if you're in town for business.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Parisian charm in the heart of Beverly Hills"
Close to french bistros (try Ingrid's!) and Rodeo Drove. Lovely staff and unique history.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Maison 140, "queen" room too small for two adults"
This hotel is in a terrific location. The rooms available for the special rates are very small, and we would hesitate to recommend for two adults for any stay longer than a night or two. We liked being able to access our own car in the lot right next to the hotel, avoiding the usual wait for a valet. Overall the location made up for room size but only […] for a short stay. The hotel was ok. Rooms were a combination of old and new. Seemed a little swanky in the lobby, but the rooms had old wall paper and a super old heater which sounded like a diesel truck until it warmed up. As for the service, I arrived around 10pm and the 22 year old receptionist was less than helpful. A manager couldn't be reached and she was like […] a deer in the headlights trying to solve my problem. I probably wouldn't stay again for what I paid. 20% cheaper, maybe. I essentially paid for the neighborhood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staffs were very friendly and the location of the hotel is near the metro bus stop. If I would visit LA again, this hotel would still be my first pick.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was nice. Everyone on the staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating! My flight arrived early, and they made it possible for me check into my room well before their usual time! All the staff remembered my name and called Mr. (I'm 32) every time they saw me. They were very personable; I was happily impressed. The hotel itself is […] exactly what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. It's small and quaint. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are even smaller, but they are nice looking and well put together. It's L.A., I wasn't spending any time in the room except to shower and sleep. Speaking of, the bed was very, very comfortable! It's always tough for me when I stay out of town because my bed is top notch, but I really enjoyed their bed. Also, the location is excellent. I would stay there again, if I got the same rate (about a 55% discount). Their full rates are expensive, but they're comparable to surrounding boutique hotels. Also, parking is $28 per night, which unfortunately is common at hotels there. Good thing is, there's no vallet, so you don't have to tip someone to bring your car 20 feet (the parking lot is very close and easily accessible). Overall, I liked the place, and I'd stay there again. Nice staff, good bed, great location, and at the discounted rate it was worth the price without killing my wallet. "Hotel Maison 140, very well situated"
I stayed for 2 nights in the hotel Maison 140. The neighbourhood was very well situated; just a couple of blocks away from Rodeo Drive and close to two stops of the Yellow Line from Starline Tours. The first night I had difficulty sleeping in because of walking noise hotel guests upstairs, the airco outside and the fridge. As I just came from the Westin […] Bonadventure, Downtown LA I missed: bath, swimming pool and spaciousness. I though the Westin Bonaventure would be too far away from Hollywood. However, collegues of mine stayed there and they said it was perfect. The purple line of Starline Tours from Westin Bonaventure takes you straight over the highway to Hollywood and you can take metro to Farmers Market and Yellow Line from there to the beach. All in all Maison 140 (at 50% off rates) would have been fine with me if I had not had the comparison with the Westin Bonaventure. At full rate, I would not have taken it. amazing front office and check in, she was the best, friendly and so accomodating. rooms are extremely small, almost had the feeling I was at the Hudson hotel in NY....super old, old, old AC system that makes so much noise, dark rooms and overall very dark hotel. service made it upGenuine Expedia guest review
I have nothing really bad to say. It was an older hotel with an old "lift", not an elevator. That tells you what its like. The room were small and there are no amenities associated with a big hotel. That being said, it was cute and quaint.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Maison 140"
Lovely boutique hotel- pretty rooms, very nice staff, French music playing- could be in Paris- and they serve a glass of champagne every afternoon- perfect to take to the room for a hot bath and getting ready to go out...stay was too short to enjoy much else...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Maison 140 hotel stay experience"
Room and bathroom were very small. Last time I stayed in this size of room it was in Paris, but you would expect it in Europe, but not in US. Location is good, parking very convenient but pricy - $28, but it is normal for Beverly Hills hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very convenient to Rodeo Drive and lovely restaurants. Room small but didn't spend much time in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Comfy bed but very small room. Loved the bathroom but the food options were very limited.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay at Maison 140"
If you want a non-tradtional boutique hotel then this is the place to stay. It used to be a boarding house in the 40's for aspiring actors and actresses and they try to keep that same feeling with the decor and it works! Rooms are small but well equipped with all the amenities. The bed is sooo yummy that I went out and bought the same sheets, pillows […] and featherbed! It was perfect for my 50th bday and the location is great for shopping in Beverly Hills or Century City. Price is reasonable for the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Charming and friendly"
I had a wonderful experience at Maison 140, which is convenient to al of Beverly Hills. If you'd like to stay in a lovely boutique hotel with character, this is it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is a little dated but chic. Really my only gripe would be that the mattress in my room was not comfortable. I travel a lot for work and look forward to a restful night's sleep when on the road. Loved that I was offered a glass of rose when I checked in. Also loved that I was informed of live jazz music for the following night. Wish this hotel […] was a tad more business friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
