"elegant hotel stay"
we had a wonderful romantic getaway in this hotel. very upscale luxury and very nicely located to walk to downtown Beverly Hills. Do not expect to lounge poolside though (unless you want to go to the sister hotel a block away - but the pool there is small and just marginally inviting). So, if you are looking for a quiet, romantic, luxurious getaway […] this hotel fits the bill. But I am glad we didn't plan more than a night or two here, there just wasn't a whole lot to do. "Convenient location, average hotel"
The location is quite convenient within walking distance to Rodeo Drive, restaurants, etc. The hotel is average at best - rooms are small with old window air conditioners. Our room was on the first/ground floor, hotel staff woke started making noise that woke us up at 7am on Sunday. The service was not great either - there is no valet or bellman. Parking […] is $28/day. There are boutique hotels in WeHo that are much better value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beverly Hills Access"
Maison 140 was a great place to stay while exploring Beverly Hills and even West Hollywood. We are walkers and the location made it possible to spend two days experiencing the area without having to rent a car. We had two very nice dinners at restaurants that were within a couple of blocks. The hotel was clean and the staff happily accommodated our […] early arrival. It is not a large place and neither are the rooms, but they are well appointed. The exercise room was small but serviceable. The lounge area is quite nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good boutique hotel for Beverly Hills visit. Good location. Small rooms but good value. Friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
Trendy yet quaint Beverly Hills boutique hotel. Loved the black, white, orange decor! Very friendly staff! Full bar with great coffee in lobby. They serve breakfast which I did not have. Across from the Peninsula Hotel and a 10 min walk the Beverly Hilton. I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice couple retreat in a historic hotel"
Very nice area and beautifully remodeled. The queen room we stayed in was minuscule, but it was and old hotel relatively cheap so we were okay with it. I would stay there again for sure if the price stays low enough. This room was NOT big enough for any more than two who are very "familiar" with each other.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good access to area. Good staff~ However, strange bathroom set up. Full length window between bedroom and bathroom- half frosted glass...odd. Access to electric outlets were behind headboard~ just ok place to stay for an overnight. Won't go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely little place"
Lovely little place. Worked out beautifully, a nice little "boutique" hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for ambience"
This is a very fun place to stay in LA; off a quiet neighborhood in Beverly Hills within easy walking to shops. The room was a little small and there is no coffee in the rooms, which is unfortunate since the continental breakfast is not free so if you want coffee you have to go out for it. The staff was some of the friendliest and helpful of any hotel […] I've stayed at recently and it was fun to be in Lilian Gish's hotel. This is a unique hotel; we chose not to stay in a chain that would have all the bells and whistles-my only wish is that we had coffee available without charge and that there was an outdoor seating area. Fun place to stay though; would definitely go back... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not for the Handicapped"
I had a wonderful stay at this beautifully redecorated hotel and enjoyed the staff immensely. The "European style" hotel had small rooms and even smaller bathrooms (only for skinny people) I am tall and thin and found the tiny showers (no tubs) a little tight. This is an older building with a very small (not to today's standard code for) elevator(s). […] An old style Large Metal key to the door, (not a modern key-card) gave me problems and I was "put out" of my room for several hours while the maintenance man attempted to oil and fix the old lock. The second time it happened I very nearly twisted the key off in the lock, and recommended they replace the lock itself, as none of the pass keys from the Maintenance or Housekeeping staff could get the door opened. Feel free to verify this information with another source. Thanks Hotel.com for your great rates! Warmest Regards, Gerald Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
While the hotel can truly boast it's "boutique" feel, both my husband & I felt the place charming but very small. Cappincino may be the "in" beverage in Beverly Hills, but there should have been a mini-Keurig with Starbucks coffee as a suggestion to make it more rounded. There was no ice bucket in the room or we learned, ice machine on the floor so […] had to order from the front desk for which there was little instruction on how to use the phone system. Elevators aren't always the best place for a claustaphobic but I'd take the stairs if you don't have luggage otherwise you may need to send the luggage up separately--little room for both! Overall, nice and clean but very pricey for a one night stay. Thank you for the free parking for which was a nice savings! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"What a find!"
What a gem of a hotel in the center of it all in LA! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this hotel. Not expensive and much more private and personal than a big chain... Will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The rooms are small but very nicely appointed. Convenient parking in lot adjacent to the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Super deluxe hotel, lobby - even the valet operation is a class actGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not worth it"
Nice and clean but too expensive for what you get. I'll just stay a little further away. Also they charge $28 to park in their parking lot per night. Even though you're staying there. Also, rooms are tiny.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It wasn't an extravagant experience but the hotel staff was great. Room decor was very nice. Space was very minimal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great boutique hotel"
What a find!! Great boutique hotel with a lot of history in Beverly Hills and reasonably priced. Rooms were small but very European and with all amenities. Staff was terrific. Great location for business or pleasure. I will return. A very enjoyable stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was very quaint and well-appointed. The rooms are on the small side, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, Comfy and a Quick Walk to Rodeo"
With a wedding to attend 1 block from Rodeo Dr, we wanted something within walking distance. Although normally we'd stay at one of the "name" hotels nearby, we took a chance on this boutique property as the pic's were cute and the price was great. And we'd highly recommend it! Small but cozy, very clean, and the staff interaction is fantastic. No hassles, […] no crowds, no problems. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms, but still nicely appointed and up to date. A very nice place to stay for an overnighter or for those on a budget who want the location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice European style boutique hotel."
Maison 140 is a small, very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. The location is excellent. You can walk to all the shops in Rodeo Drive (even though no one seems to walk in LA) and the hotel is central to most sites in the city. Parking is also very convenient in the lot next door (no back and forth w the valet) but it is expensive. The […] rooms are well appointed, very clean and nice, but also very small. Feels like a hotel in Paris or London as far as room size. Free wifi is a nice bonus. Bathrooms are nice but nothing spectacular and are on the small side. Free breakfast, somewhat limited but nice. Excellent coffee. They have a small bar which is comfortable and fun to hang out in. Most of the guests are European. All in all, a very nice stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location one block from Wilshire & Santa Monica that starts the triangle of Beverly Hills' shopping and restaurant district. Nice continental breakfast we thought was included but was still good at $14 extra. Met lots of international visitors while having a nightcap at the Noir Bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I was greeted by a delightful staff and the accommodations were perfection. What a lovely hotel. I had a short stay in LA and it was perfection. I really love the details like french press coffee and fresh breads and granola for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills!"
Beautiful hotel with some of the best customer service I have come across in a long time, situated in the heart of Beverly Hills. I can't wait to stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"More like a guest than a customer :-)"
I've rarely been more pleased with a hotel. This is not your typical cookie cut inn and has a good bit of what I take to be the 'old LA' of the 1940's. It is a very quaint and unusual place in a central location. The staff was extremely helpful and looked after us very well indeed. We were made to more like guests and less like customers. I would […] be happy to stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable, quaint retreat"
The rooms are stylish, small, and spotless and the staff is helpful and friendly. There is only a tiny lobby with a bar area, with no other amenities so it's a nice place for a short stay. My only complaint was the television reception was horrible (circa 1970s grainy, snowy, picture), but they were nice enough to upgrade me to a more spacious king […] room in an effort to fix the problem since the engineer had gone home for the day. The bed was fantasticly comfortable, and the location was quite quiet, and the room had windows which actually opened for fresh air. Friendly and helpful staff so I would stay there again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small and cozy hotel"
This was a nice boutique hotel with clean interiors and attentive, friendly service. It's VERY small overall - the front desk, bar/lounge, hallways, room but as long as you expect that, it's a very nice place to stay, very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Maison 104 Beverly Hills"
Hotel is ideally located in Beverly Hills. Staff was very friendly and offered help on numerous occasions. They allowed my son to park his car in the lot during the day when we stopped for a few hours at the hotel for no charge. The room was very clean with an updated bathroom that had toiletries in large spa type permanent bottles available. Bed was […] somewhat soft and the room was very small with no space for my suitcase. This was fine because I was traveling alone, but would have been difficult with another person and their bag. Perhaps other rooms are somewhat larger. I would definitely recommend for a solo traveller or two people with little luggage. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A nice surprise"
This is very nice place if you like the intimacy and class of a small private hotel. It's well located and easy to get to, a good value for its location. The staff were excellent, not at all given to the kind of arrogance similar places might exude. Their goal is to make you comfortable and to solve your problems. We'll stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a Romantic Retreat"
Stayed at Maison 140 for the first time on a Sat. night. I selected the hotel because it looked romantic and I love historic boutique hotels. I also saw that they were participating with the VIP Expedia program. The manager passed us on to someone else only for her to butt in later. She intercepted once I inquired about the VIP upgrade. She said they […] didn't participate but then went on to say that they were at capacity and couldn't give us an upgrade. She then said that our room, which was a queen size room, actually had a king size bed which she considered an upgrade. We felt it only made the room even more cramped. The bathroom has a peek in window from the bedroom so there is a lack of privacy. This also allows tons of sunlight to fill the room very early in the morning. Not good if you want to sleep in. The walls are so thin that we could hear the man in the next room snoring. The only positive about the hotel was the man who checked us in---Henry? He was very professional and helped us find some late night food. Maison 140 is lucky to have him. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Maison 140 - Great Location"
Looking at the map you'd think it's right on Santa Monica, but it's actually tucked away. For the price, this is a great find. It's also equidistant to the major agencies if you're in town for business.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
