We were painting our house and needed an inexpensive place to stay for 2 days.

Hotel under going renovation; renovation needs to be done one section at a time with renovation done completely. Our heater furnace fan was rattling so we could not turn it on. Breakfast was not only good but it was great; the best we have ever had. Service people were very good and helpful (front desk, maid, handyman).

The place was acceptable but nothing to get too excited about. Plus, there is significant renovation going on, with the outdoor pool closed. I was not given any indication that renovation was in progress. Breakfast was just OK. It was nice to get a customized egg order, but everything else was pretty low end.

Saturday night my husband went to ask the night hotel clerk gave up his parking place to us. Due to the remodeling that is taking place at Irvine Suites in Lake Forest, California they have lost parking spaces from dumpsters etc.

The room was fine although the living room was a little dated and there was where damage to the wall had been repaired but not painted. However, the bed was comfortable and the suite itself was clean.

first of all it was under construction so the elevator that was near my room was closed to the floor my room was on. I have a fractured tailbone and was detoured to an outside elevator on the complete opposite side of the hotel in the rain carrying all of my baggage. A few rooms down from my room it seemed as though people were living in their room. […] Their children were running up and down the deck and screaming. They had chalk and were drawing on the ground of the deck in which with my baggage and luggage I had to walk around their children. It was very unproffesional. My sliding glass door that opens to the patio deck was broken, off strack and would not lock. So the door was partly open all night while I was gone and felt very unsafe with my belongings in the room and while I was aleeping. The light which was above the sink and mirror where one would get ready was not working and it was very difficult to see in the mirror. I was very disappointed. The first appearance of the room was impressive with a living room and bedroom. But there where things I listed that made the room not acceptable for a perfect stay. Read more

This place is getting renovated. Nice big place. Hotel office is very friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable and be happy. I am sure once this place is done, it will be the Place to go. You also have a cook for the breakfast and made to order food. However I wish there were some vegetarian options, but no. Big rooms and nice.

There was a dead fly on the bathroom window-ledge that was there when I checked-in (1/12/2013) and STILL there when I checked out (1/15//2013)! This hotel is under renovations...and has been for over 1 1/2 years! YOU SHOULD HAVE LET ME KNOW THIS!! I WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED IF I KNEW THAT PART!

Had a wonderful room! Was taken care of by Gabriella and front desk staff quickly and everything was more then satisfying. Very accommodating. Great hotel for the price. Even a parking structure. Room were large suits with tv's, nice bathroom, spa/pool downstairs, Microwaves and sinks in room and balcony! Close to the freeway and near the beach.

We had to get the front desk to call the cafe to open the doors 5 minutes late and when they turned on the lights and walked away from the door you knew that the look you got was meant to be just as cold as the coffee that was still on tap from the day before. There was no food in any of the hot food bins and nothing to take with you. Undergoing needed renovation. Like the two rooms - one with beds, one with desk, TV, etc. Only one person on desk at 6 pm checkin - took a while. AM checkout was quick. Breakfast very good. We'd stay there again.

This hotel is currently being renovated; the lobby is full of furniture boxes. Which is a good thing because some of the previous reviews noted aging furniture. Our room was perfectly adequate. Small sitting room with tv, desk, sofa. Bedroom also had a tv. Bed was very comfortable. Furniture and bath are admittedly older, but very clean. No frills. […] Staff were very helpful. Did not use the pool or spa. Did go to breakfast. Interesting arrangement. Hot food is made to order on a little grill; give yourself enough time if you want it as it is a one man operation and each order is made individually. Parking is a little problematic due to the reconstruction(temporary loss of parking spaces), but that should clear up. This hotel is a very good value for the money taking into consideration its location. We stayed there to visit an elderly relative who lives in the area and it was perfectly fine. Good sleep in a cheap Hotel . could use some new carpets, ect, it is not a run down dive. Most would like the free breakfast, I am a hard core health nut so it was just common eggs, bacon, spuds, cereal, some fruit.

The only good thing I have to say about this place is that the bed was comfortable. The walls were thin and I could her my neighbors entire conversation, as well as the people that were soaking in the jacuzzi on the first floor (I was located on the 3rd floor). The rooms need to updated with quality work.

Under renovation for 1.5 years. This is a dump. It will always be a dump no matter how much renovation is done. Parking is still a problem. I sat on the bench out front smoking and a police car arrived policemen went in took a report, hours later police cars crusing thru the parking lot parked across the street. Lady complaining in the lobby about her […] room. Young kid arguing with the deck clerk about his deposit. The guy is sitting on the ground out front and sees a squad car passing and goes into the hotel quickly. Too much drama around this place. The room was ok but set up cheesy with jacuzzi in the bedroom. There was a party in the room above on the Friday night until 3am. The shower had no pressure only a trickle. I had to have my key re-programmed twice during a 4 night stay because of wrong check out date. Other than all that, I enjoyed my stay!!!

For a family of 4 , we found the place roomy and clean . At least no bugs were noted by my kids . It was very convenient to where we were going to . Breakfast was soooo much better compared to other places we have been through . We would come back to this hotel .
