"Exceptional customer service"
Very good value for the price and exceptional customer service. Felt the warmth and caring on both stays. A little outdated in terms of rooms but still, comfortable and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great "No Frills" place to stay."
The Trenton Comfort Inn is a perfect no frills place to stay. The staff is friendly, lots of parking, the rooms are clean and the bedding is comfy. I think one of the things that impressed me most, was that my "Non-smoking Room" truly had not been smoked in. I've stayed at other lodgings where their so called "Non-smoking" rooms where in reality it […] was no such thing. (Frebeez can only mask so much stale cigarette smoke) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were not at all happy with this hotel. It smelled badly, was not air conditioned except for the small lobby were the clerk was. Stained bedding and stuffy roo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty good hotel."
The hotel was decent, not typically what I like in a hotel, but I felt comfortable and safe and there was no problems at check-in or check out. Breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hall way did not appear clean. It is an older building but it could be fixed up better. I would not choose to stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could be cheaper"
Good enough for one night, average breakfast, but could be cheaper, compared to others. AC too noisy and windy. Cleaning ok, nothing superbe but not dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bathroom sink was damaged and looked dirty as a result. Tub was also marked. Hallway carpets were unclean-looking, and when our room was "cleaned" they left dirty cups behind. The continental breakfast was served in a small lobby with no tables, few seats, and limited amount of food. I cannot understand how this hotel received a rating of 4.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent value. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I will use again. Breakfast could be better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mostly good with a few glitches."
Even though the quality was fine for an overnight stay on our way to Toronto, there were two outstanding flaws. The location was extremely difficult to find. There were no identifying signs (ie Comfort Inn) anywhere on the motel. We arrived at night, in a snowstorm and ended up at the nearby YMCA which was clearly identified. We had to guess that the […] next unlabeled building could perhaps be the Comfort Inn. Second, this is the first time in all of our travels that we had to leave a $50.00 visa print out. to make sure our check-out room was satisfactory. It left a very bad impression of being unwelcome. One last point,,,,,,our CAA and senior status usually allows us a discount. We felt 'dismissed ' upon inquiry and did not receive any. A positive note: the breakfast was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cheap and simple"
The Comfort Inn was actually not bad at all. Considering the price and the location right next to the highway, we were really happy staying here. If you are just passing by and want a place to stay the night, I would recommend Comfort Inn. Rooms are clean and has the amenities you need. The hotel has no bar, but there is complimentary breakfast in the […] morning (which is so so), and it is right next to a Tim Hortons, a gaz station etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Home Away from Home"
01/14/15 Ruby S Trenton
I'm totally behind in writing this review but my life has been challenging in the past 9/10 months. I so wanted to write this sooner but life had other plans...soooo...in April my home burned down. Luckily I did have insurance and so had to stay in a hotel until I found a new place to live. I came to Trenton because both my kids live here and I felt the need to have family close. I tried another hotel in town but wasn't happy there so I decided to check out the Comfort Inn. This place was wonderful! It was clean and cheery. My room had a mini fridge, a microwave a sitting area and a patio door where I could sit outside in the sun. The staff there are incredible. They are friendly and hardworking and appear to love their work. They were always happy and friendly and nothing seemed too much for them. At a time when I felt depressed and stressed out Karen Gatt and her staff went above and beyond to help me de-stress and feel at home. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I stayed there for a few months until I found a place to live and although happy to again have a place to settle I was also sad to leave these wonderful people, who had become like family. If ever I am in need of a place to stay in Trenton again you can bet The Comfort Inn will be first on my list. I also recommend this place to family and friends who visit Trenton and I recommend this place to you. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay staffed with wonderful friendly and knowledgeable people, then this is the place for you.
"Basic, no frills but cost effective"

Stayed one night, money was an object. You get what you pay for, but that is not a bad thing if you know what to expect. The room is adequate. Decently sized, clean and the bed was fine, but don't look for any extras. The bathroom sink water temperature never really warmed up, so the shave was not as one might hope. Surprisingly, the shower water temp was fine, so that was a nice surprise. Shampoo is provided, but bring your own conditioner, if desired. Breakfast choices were skimpy and the "breakfast nook" is not designed to hold more than 4 people at a time. Also, there are no non-fast food restaurants in the general vicinity, to get decent eats had to drive about 10 minutes away. All that being said, the staff was pleasant and attentive, the rooms were clean and the bed good enough. Based on the comparative price paid, I believe I received good value. I will stay there again.
"Clean & Comfortable"

I was pleased that my stay at this Comfort Inn was pleasant enough with no disappointments. I was travelling with my little dog and was just staying one night to attend a friend's birthday party in Trenton. Although the hotel was right by the train tracks it was very sound proof. The room was basic and clean. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. There is a Tim Horton's next door and also a YMCA if you are so inclined. There is a Petro Canada right there as well. Breakfast was included and was quite adequate with healthy choices...fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, different breads and muffins to toast, waffles, etc. It was decent value too. The staff were great! It was easy to get to and from on the 401.

My husband and I are staying for 3 nights while in town for my brother's funeral. In my 62 years, I have never experienced this level of personal attention to our every need. The staff that we dealt with most frequently, Jennifer and Karen, could not have been more accommodating, going above and beyond our expectations. We were blown away by the kindness and hospitality shown to us. The property is older, but everything functioned well. They genuinely cared for our circumstances and made us feel at home. We feel that even at a 5 star property, we would not have gotten this level of attention, comfort and care. The value of that attention is far greater than a 5 star accommodation. If the opportunity arises, we will happily return without question. We can't say enough good things about the staff and our time spent here. In conclusion, our feeling is, you cannot buy this kind of service.

I stayed here three nights on business. I didn't want to stay in Belleville so decided I wanted to be right in Trenton. This is a very basic hotel which looks tired and dated. Two levels with no elevator. My room was clean and OK. Beds are just OK and the linens need some updating. I was on the second floor. I got to listen to guys smoking outside their room on the first floor and their gigantic trucks idling for what seemed like forever... Good times. The hotel is sandwiched in between the 401 highway and the train tracks so it can get loud. Tim Hortons and McDonalds were across the street so that was handy. The hotel breakfast isn't great so I would skip that. My room didn't have a closet so good thing I packed light. Overall very basic accommodation.

Unmemorable hotel right off the highway. Pleasant front of house and simple, unhealthy breaky included. Decent hotel for a short stay, but wouldn't recommend a long stay, as the pillows and bedding are low end, and it's very isolated, if you walk for pleasure....

On Saturday, September 20, 2014, I stayed at this location in room 107. I had just returned from a long flight from Europe and had been up for 28 hours and desperately needed a place to sleep. Unfortunately, hotels were booked from Ajax to Cobourg and I needed a room with two beds as I was travelling with a friend. This room was billed as a "smoking room" but was the last one in the hotel so I took it. Although both my friend and I are non-smokers, we were prepared for there to be some residual smell of smoke in the room. However, it reeked of stale tobacco smoke! The sliding door to the parking lot did not work well, but I managed to wrench it open just to get some air into the room. The bedding, towels etc. all reeked and there is no way that this amount of odour would be from someone just smoking in the room. I am guessing the staff use this as a smoking area when the weather is bad. It ranks as one of the three worst rooms I have ever stayed at in the province of Ontario. The bedspreads were stained (and reeked of tobacco), the towels were threadbare and the rugs were dirty. All in all, a very bad experience.
"Very basic- serves it's purpose but not much else"

I stayed here over the weekend with my brother for a short getaway. The room was very basic, but seemed to be in desperate need of a makeover. The mattress on my bed was very worn down on one side and this made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep (and a very sore back in the morning). The hair dryer in our room worked for about ten seconds and died. We also had the misfortune of staying at the Inn when some noisy families booked in with their kids (games of tag and hide and seek being played quite loudly outside our room and up and down the halls-at 11:30 at night). The complimentary breakfast left something to be desired as well. We enjoyed our stay in the area overall and had the chance to explore the region and saw the room as merely a place to sleep for the night. Staff was pleasant enough and did their best with my complaints about the noise. The rates were more reasonable than others I checked out (though I would say it's a bit over-priced for the quality of the accommodations). Not the worst place I've stayed, but not the best either. I would entertain the thought of coming back if improvements were made to make it worth my while.
"Convenient but not pleasant"

We were in town for a one night stay to attend a family party. This hotel is clean, but absolutely basic. It does serve its purpose as a non luxury hotel, but I think all hotels should have comfortable beds. The beds here need to be replaced. They are tired as are the linens. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We did not stay for the breakfast, so no comment there. It is close to McDonalds and Tim Horton's (walking distance) if that is the type of food you like. I would choose another location next time.
"An excellent non-luxury motel"
09/03/14 everthecritic London
The staff members are really good, reception, housekeeping, breakfast are all nice people who seem happy in their work and care about the guests. It is all spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and good linen. The TV and wi-fi are good. The accommodation is not luxury but it does what it sets out to do very well. Breakfast is basic but wholesome - you could walk to McDonalds or Tim Hortons if you prefer. It is about 15 minutes by car or taxi from the National Air Force Museum which is very well worth a visit if you are this close. My only negative comment is that there are no room safes. I found this a nuisance as I had foreign money, my passport, a spare credit card, my travel documents and my home keys with me. I left these in my room all day and it was fine but it did worry me a bit to start with.
