"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Good mid-price choice"
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"Location, location, location"
Great hotel, right by the seabus terminal and the quay. Stayed one night only to watch the Canucks and it was perfect!

"Lonsdale Quay Hotel"
This was a perfect choice for my week long stay in North Vancouver. Few minutes away from the Sea Bus terminal. Plenty of food choices in the Quay marketplace downstairs. Very comfortable bed and the wireless internet worked great (including streaming of Netflix). Stayed in a Jr. suite so enjoyed the extra space with the sofa and liked the ice cold, […] filtered water that was available in the room. Read more

"Excellent view"
it's very close to the bay, vancouver port and has an excellent view, very clean hotel!
The Location of the Hotel and Quality of my room and the courteous staff at the rate I paid, was excellent value. I will be staying here again in the future.
"Amazing Location & Hotel!!!"
Best hotel on the North Shore. The location can't be beat and the staff is very friendly. It is right above the Lonsdale Quay Market full of local vendors, savory foods and amazing Shiatsu massage service on the 2nd Floor. Theaters are right across the street just a stone's throw away. Getting to downtown Vancouver could not be easier. It is a seabus […] and voila', you are there. The views are magical, the rooms are nicely appointed. Not super fancy, but clean, fresh and updated. Thanks so much, we will be back. Read more

"Lonsdale Vancouver"
Nice average hotel. Bathroom did not have a vent fan (bad design)!
"Lonsdale Quay-North Vancouver"
Very convenient location for travel into Vancouver. Close to all amenities(store,Pharmacy,Liquor store, Movie Theatre,Dinning) Good Rates.
"Lonsdale Quay - Nice get away hotel"
We parked the car and rode the Sea Bus to Downtown and walked everywhere Convenient to be above shopping and restaurants at the Quay It was the weekend of Grey Cup CFL champion ship game so nice to stay out of the heart of Downtown
"Great place for great price"
Excelent staff, Has a great view of downtown, is located in a really great locality and is very accessible via Highway 1.
"Unique location with efficient service and norms."
I stay here often, and each room is a bit different-decor and view. All are clean and roomy.
"Lonsdale Quay - fabulous location!"
Lonsdale Quay is located on the Burrard Inlet - fabulous to wake up to see the water and Vancouver lights! Breakfast was very tasty! Decor is nice. A 1 minute walk from the Seabus which connects to the Skytrain direct to the airport. We enjoyed our stay.
clean and well managed. Walls are a bit thin and the nearby bars can be noisy until early morning.
Great location & greatest view of Vancouver. EVERYTHING is within walking distance.
"Spectacular Views of Downtown Vancouver"
If only for the views of DT vancouver, I will stay at the Lonsdale Quay, again. It is an easy, convenient and affordable sea bus trip to the downtown area for all the shopping, dinning and sightseeing in Vancouver. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with access to dinning and transportation. The room is a bit dated, but clean and safe. I read other […] reviews of the noise, but even with our window open we slept soundly. If the room was more updated, I would recommend highly. In its present condition, I still recommend. Great escape from the AZ summer. Read more

"Don't judge a book..."
The Hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but is really nice on the inside. The Lobby and a long hallway which provides access to the conference rooms overlooks the shopping center below, giving it an airy feel. We were upgraded at check-in to an executive suite, which had a view of the city across the water. The rates were much better that […] I could find downtown and there is a water taxi if you don't want to make the drive. Only downsides to the stay: Jets in the tub didn't work and you can hear the Karaoke music coming through the floor from Eastside Mario's below. Overall, it was a positive stay. Read more
"Pleasant stay"
The hotel was excellent! The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Markets, restaurants and shops in the hotel complex. Buses and ferries were adjacent to the hotel. It was very easy to get around and good location. If we return to Vancouver we would definitely stay there again.
"Just OK, nothing special"
Not going back, nothing horrible, but for the price I expected better. Everything was just OK. Pillow was hard as a rock, I have slept better in the snow on Mt Rainier. Don't get the Junior Suite, it was the same as any other hotel room. Nothing special. Save the $$ and just get the regular room if you have to stay here. Next time I head to Vancouver, […] I will stay downtown. Sorry Lonsdale, I will not be back. Read more

"Lonsdale Quay"
Hotel was very convenient to the seabus and downtown. The service was excellent, front desk staff very attentive, restaurant staff excellent, and the rooms clean and comfortable.
"Don't check in at night!"
Some of the staff was nice Others were kurt. It was late when we arrived due to traffic en route and a problem caused by United Airlines missing one of our bags in Chicago We were tired and had to endure the night check in and hear about pets ( we had none) and parking yatta yatta yatta. The showers could use vent fan. Someone should clean outside […] many over flowing garbage cans Read more
"All Night Rumbling and Bad Neighborhood"
We had a poor stay at the LQH after a wonderful week in the mountains. First, they share a garage with the mall that they have the 3rd and 4th floors of, so you have to park in the 2 hr mall garage with a note. The garage is poorly marked, and if you wind up in the office building next door, the garage is full of warning posters about thefts and Bait […] Cars. Pretty scary stuff about the area. In our room, the A/C or boiler was on next to our bathroom wall, and made a constant loud rumbling that went all night. The staff cheerfully advised us that the chef called in sick, so no breakfast, but go to McDonald's across the street from the mall. The cable supplied internet in the room did not work, could not be reset, and it was necessary to use the lobby business center abot 4 times to figure out our weekend plans. Overall a terrible place. Avoid it if you can. D & C Read more
"would not recommend"
Old hotel. Our room was on the first floor and looked out on the sidewalk! We had to keep blinds closed all the time because people walking by on street could look directly in room. No natural light in old dark room is not a good thing. When asked if rooms could be changed they said they were totally booked, however I did see other people checking in […] after us. Comforter on bed looked quite old and removed it immediately. Would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Read more
"Nice Boutique Hotel"
The hotel is conveniently located above the vibrant Lonsdale Quay Market & Shops, steps from the SeaBus, and close to a bus hub that can transport a guest to other local attractions such as the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
The hotel is on the North shore. Do not book flights that leave before 8am their is no seabus or bus service before 8am. I had a flight at 744am, only way by an expenseive cab fare. I changed my standby ( I work for an airline) to saturday at 230pm. It was noon and I checked out and ran for the seabus. Back in Phoenix I called for an adjustment to my […] rate, they refused. So watch those sunday flights. Read more
"Lonsdale Quay Hotel in Vancouver- Family friendly"
We enjoyed staying in the Lonsdale hotel. The hotel staff was very nice and prompt. It is located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of choices of places to dine close by. Rooms were nice and clean. Although we drove, we liked the fact that it was very close to the Seabus and regular buses. It is an awesome deal for the price.
"North Vancouver"
The Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a wonderful small hotel located on the waterfront of North Vancouver. The view of Vancouver is spectacular and the retail space around the hotel is excellent. Also, all summer there are festivals that take place in the market area adjacent to the hotel. I will return to the Lonsdale Quay and I highly recommend it!

"Good Choice"
The hotel is close to everything you would want to see in the Vancouver area. Make sure you ask for a water view..it is awesome!
"Bookinng with hotels.com"
booking with Hotels, com is easy - we got a room at the Lonsdale on a non refundable basis, however, we had a death in the family and had to cancel. hotel said it was not upto them and to contact Hotels, com. I understand that they are not obliged to do anything, but they plain ignored my contact and rather just sent me this survey to ask if I had a nice […] stay. Not blaming anyone, however, be aware! "Lonsdale Quay Hotel, North Vancouver, BC"
Great value, great location, hotel a bit run down, but bathrooms updated and plush terrycloth robes. It sits on top of a wonderful public market with every kind of food you would want and lots of interesting arts and ethnic goods. We will go again, for a longer stay next time.
"Nice location"
My room was above a restaurant and not a wharf with boats, sea planes etc..... not very private if you are looking for privacy. The view I had was mostly the wharf and not Vancouver city !!! But I must say, the staff is mostly like a 5 star hotel , professional, attentive and dedicated to customers. I defintely recommend this hotel to others.
"Vancouver Vacations"
It was the worse choice that I have ever made for a hotel specially for vacationing. I wish I had more info about the hotel. The view was terrible, port tow towers. The smell was unbearable that gets in the room. That Vancouver bay was so dirty and smelly. Did not had a good experience

"Not so great"
We weren't all that impressed. The first room we were given had a toilet that didn't work. The second had dirty cups and the carpet was damaged. While the staff was nice there was only one person working when we had to deal with the issues with the rooms. The Quay is great so it was fun to go down in the morning.
"Watch out for this Hotel"
When you read all the great reviews of this hotel be careful. The short seabus ride is something you will share with 200 to 400 friends since the seabus is always crowded. One morning the chef did not show up so they did not offer breakfast. Unfortunately there is no full service restaurant within walking distance that serves breakfast. The hotel said […] they provided a credit for the upcharge for breakfast, but so far we have seen nothing. The room was clean and in good condition. We had no issues with noise from the market below, but the harbor activity started around 3 AM. It didn't last too long, but did wake us every morning. The front desk provided no help in understanding public transportation and consequently the first day we spent quite a bit more than we needed to. On guy behind the desk was absolutely no help in finding anything - restaurants, sightseeing sights, etc. A young lady the last evening helped us find a nice restaurant where we had a good time. All in all, I am not sure I would stay here again, or that I would recommend it to anyone else. Read more
"Lonsdale Quay Hotel in Vancouver"
This hotel is definitely a fun place to stay with all of the shops and restaurants just downstairs and all around. The Seabus is right out the front door and goes over to the Canada Place Convention Center where I was attending a Convention and it made it convenient and easygoing. The Seabus runs every 15 minutes and is only a 10 minute ride. The room […] was great and the staff were helpful. I highly recommend the hotel. I will definitely return. It was a bargain through Hotels.Com. Read more

"Right on the water!"
We enjoyed our stay at Lonsdale Quay. If you can, purchase the room that includes the breakfast. It was a good standard 2 eggs, bacon, toast and hashbrowns with coffee but no juice included. If we had purchased this breakfast separately, it would have been $32. for two! We found that the hallway noises transferred into the guest rooms. Parking was a […] bargain at Vancouver rates - $10/night. It was nice to have the market so handy too. Would stay again! Read more
staff was extremely helpful and polite. the room was in better condition than expected.
at checkin, no one explained that they were doing renovations on our floor. We had no table and chair in the room that had been there on a previous stay at this hotel. We had to request a chair to be brought to us. We were supposed to receive free internet (hardline hookup) but had to ask several times why it was not working. The hotel is somewhat difficult to find (especially the parking garage). However, once you find it - what a treat. The Lonsdale Market (where the hotel is located) was absolutely wonderful. We outfitted our entire group with food for the following ski week at Whistler. The market had a wonderful selection of fresh produce, wonderful meats and seafood, […] and delicious chocolates. The hotel was very clean and quiet for being in such a busy area. Read more
