I chose this hotel because of the price for this location. Room is average but in good condition, shower is small and water has two position cold and boiling. Avoid the breakfast here. I love the pool side with jacuzzi which is very charming and the beach access. There is also a valet parking service which was quite awesome for their quickness. I have not seen any wifi service but I am not sure about that.

Located a short walk from Espanola Way for relaxing atmospheric dining experiences as well as short walk to Ocean Drive where the scene is more lively. The hotel check-in/out was friendly and hassle free. Used the facilities on arrival even though room was not available until 4pm. Pool and Hot tub area great. Drinks at the bar a little pricey. Gate opens on to beach where beach service is provided as well as loungers and parasol. Had a king size room with ocean view which was clean and quiet. If the food options and drinks prices were better I'd rate higher. But for the money, the value is excellent given the location.

Hotel was clean, but really needs updating. Walls are extremely thin, as you hear all noise from the hall, as well as next door room conversations. Beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. Also, did not have a bedspread or comforter only sheets?? Had to ask for a blanket, only brought one while we were away from the room and didn't even put it on the bed. Nice pool area. Only stayed one night between cruises.

Pool and Jacuzzi in the back where really nice. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms however where a little small. TV was very small and Bathrooms are not up to par from any other hotel I've stayed at while on Collins/South Beach. 1-10 if give it a 6. Good if your on a budget but for 30-40$ more a night you can find a much nicer hotel.

We had no remote for the TV, no Ironing Board, the bathroom was filthy with hair and I had a 6am business flight the next morning and the shower only had scalding hot water. So no shower for a 3 hour business flight. Very disappointing. When I told the front desk the person said they had someone else say the same thing. I would think this would have prompted the hotel to address the issue.

very well kept up art deco hotel. smaller room; but that is due to 1941 construction. great pool and right on the beach. front desk very helpful. Only problem is with the merry maid service and towels: they would take away used towels and frequently and I do mean frequently in the 10 nights we spent there, forget to replace them. Sometimes 1 towel, sometimes all the towels. Front desk was very good about running up with the missed towels. They must be experienced with the issue. We were joined by friends for the last 3 days, and they had a similar experience much to everybody's amusement. Not a big deal; but one they should correct.

We arrived and checked-in at 4pm, decided to drop the suitcases and go for a walk and dinner to discover South Beach. We came back at 10pm to find the very disappointing facts about our hotel room. The TV did not work, not that bad of an issue, when we went to take a shower, we noticed that the tub was not clean, hair from previous guests were found in the corners of the tub. Mildew in the joints of the tiles in the bathroom and some interesting spots on the ceiling of the bathroom. The overall cleanliness was TERRIBLE, the mattress was so soft that our backs suffered for 2 days after our one night stay at the Richmond Oceanfront. At time of checkout, we did complain about the cleanliness to the front desk who we not empathic to us. We asked to see the General Manager, and after waiting 7 minutes without seeing of being told how much longer, we decided to leave because we spent enough time and aggravation and realized that the customers are not treated well at the Richmond !!! There are many hotels in South Beach, find a better one !

We wanted to see Miami Beach. We drove a great distance to see the beach. The hotel has a small "driveway" which we drove into to unload, then our car was valet parked. The hotel was small quaint and cosy. The lobby and main area were beautifully decorated for the holidays/Christmas. The rooms were clean, but the walls were thin. Our neighbors partied very late over the first night and then a woman screamed through the night and early morning during our next night waking our children. Our server for breakfast was on the grumpy-side to start off our first day. Then we went to the beach. You walk out the back gate, cross a busy path, down a short boardwalk and you are on the beach. After some time on the beach, we returned to the hotel terrace area and pool. The area is beautiful with plants and a warm inviting pool/jacuzzi area. Later, we walked everywhere and it seemed as though we were close to everything.

Reasonably priced, clean hotel with a very nice pool. Awesome location.....close to Collins and Lincoln Road intersection as well as a good section of the beach. Very friendly staff and owned by an adorable older couple. However, facility could you use a decent updating, very few amenities, and service is just okay. In summation, fine for budgeted get aways but probably shouldn't be your first choice to luxuriate

It's very old hotel , it's not very clean , just the pool is nice ... Tge valet guys are not nice , don't leave the car on them because they also make a scratch on my car and they don't take responsability for that... mainly hotel is not good, there are many better hotels for a better price and better service

Double bed room came with beds together. Room smelled musty. Security, there's none. Water was either too hot or cold. Shower was clogged. Last but least room was next to elevator.

The hotel was in a great location. Easy walking distance to ocean drive espanola way and lincoln road. Hotel was also steps from the beach which is hard to find at this price. The hotel itself was pretty nice, pool was nice back area/restaurant was nice. Rooms need updating but they're fine.

This hotel is conveniently located right off of the beach. It has a gorgeous pool area and decent rooms for the price. The hotel staff was always friendly. The only complaint was the bathroom was a little cramped and outdated. The bed was nice and comfortable and the room was always clean. I would probably stay here again for the same price next year.

I really like the location. The room was fine, and the pool area was good also. But the stuff of this hotel made me mad several times! If you didn't live the tips to the cleaning person, she willnt give you the towels, or she will broke you refrigerator, so you'd better be careful! And you can come to the front desk several times to ask them fix your refregirator, but they will never do it! By the way you have to pay for your wi-fi, whitch doesn't said in description of the hotel.

Stay was pleasant, having the proper towels in the room was a problem 3 out of the five days we stayed. Had to request pool towels because they were always out. There were no mirrors in the your room. Only a high one in the bathroom. Only one wastebasket in the whole room. They were no drawers to place your clothes in, only open wire shelving in the closet. Wi-Fi was hit and miss for your phone. There was a charge to use the internet computers ($1.75 per 5 minutes) and Wi-Fi service of $10 per day.

Upon arriving the hotel lobby had a slight aurora of sewage. Yes, sewage. The bedroom was small, as expected and the beds were comfortable. That's basically the only positive thing I can say about the place. It took 36 hours and 4 calls to the front desk from maintenance to come and fix the AC which was on ultra high and could not be turned off. When they finally came (after going down to the lobby and asking to speak to a Manager who told me to check out early if I was unhappy!), all the maintenance person did was tape a piece of cardboard over one of the vents. The walls are paper thin and doors/locks are very old. We were abruptly woken up by loud banging and yelling at 4am on our last night staying at the hotel. It sounded like someone was in a rage and beating someone up. We tried to call the front desk to have someone take a look, but couldn't get through to anyone. That made us feel very unsafe, especially since the rooms didn't have 2 locks, only one deadbolt. When we told the front desk the next day they told us they should have tried calling the desk again. WIFI costs $10/day but resets at 3pm, hence to work a full day remotely the WIFI costs $20/day. There are no service amenities at all. The "restaurant and bar" is just takeout with one person behind the counter. You can order drinks on the beach if you pay $5 for a chair. This service took almost 30min to receive the order and the drinks were warm

Fantastic neighborhood--wonderful base to explore the area. Close to Lincoln Road. The staff is very helpful! Pleasant and economical breakfast. Nice heated pool. The room is somewhat basic but clean and comfortable. Could use a few splashes of paint here and there and some freshening up. If the hotels on Collins were characters in a play, the Richmond would be the country lawyer cousin--fine, smart, and upstanding, but just a little rough around the edges.

I knew an older and inexpensive hotel would not be great and friends had stayed their and said it was a good budget hotel and it is. OK, not great and not bad. The stair wells had pretty worn carpets and the elevator was a little variable. But, it was a good deal for the money and a good location with lots of good places to walk to. Not much of a bar but breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced for Miami Beach.

Although this hotel is close to the beach, it was overpriced even at a discounted rate! They gave us the wrong gate code for the beach access and we were locked out of the hotel Small rooms and the overall feel and decore of the hotel was dated. Walls were paper thin and could hear every sound in the hallway Showers were scalding hot and could not adjust to a comfortable temperature.

We had a wonderful stay, enjoyed the pool and beach access, easy to get to shopping, restaurants and bars. The staff was wonderful, very helpful.
