The hotel is located in a very busy location and needs to be taken into consideration before booking. The parking was horrible and is not complementary. You can try to find a spot on the street but then you must risk getting a ticket, boot, or being towed so be careful. After checking in, I went down the hallway looking for the elevators. The hallway lights are dim, creepy, and reminded me of a scary movie. The rooms, on the other hand, were pretty nice although the bed was pretty low to the grown. At night, especially over the weekends, you may hear a lot of noise and music from party goers at the surrounding clubs. Overall the hotel was nice but next time I will definitely check out the area before booking.

The property was really unique, and the rooms were private and quaint. I loved having a mini-kitchen in the room for meals, and the complimentary breakfast was GREAT! Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

It's my understanding that some of the rooms have been refurbished; however, my room was in dire need of an extreme makeover. Stained upholstery, missing dining chair, broken freezer icemaker and inadequate freezing temperature in the freezer (ice cream melted into milk) were some of the problems encountered. I also noticed what smelled like a dead rat and finally the next morning discovered uncooked meatballs in the oven; while housekeeping immediately removed the food, the smell was there to stay. On the positive side, the neighborhood is terrific and the staff are friendly. I received an upgrade from a studio to a one-bedroom at check-in (without asking for it ... yeah!); however, I would have gladly stayed in a refurbished, meat-free studio rather than the disaster I encountered. Due to its location, I will go back to the hotel, but I will insist on expecting my room first!

The pple @ the frontdesk were welcoming. The room size was good, sufficient enough for what I needed it for. The bed was nicely sized w/ lots of pillows. For the most part, the room (including the kitchen, bedroom/living area, & the bathroom) was clean. The balcony was littered with paper. The included dishware & utensils were a great additions. The website was misleading in that it stated & pictured a full kitchen w/ full range & stove. It offered everything but the full range & stove. This disappointed me.The breakfast next morning was exceptionally good though.Overall, the stay was nice. 3.75 out of 5.

Loved the "older" side of the hotel...very different rooms from most hotels and roomie, as well. Great amenities including pool, jacuzzi, basketball in the courtyard, complementary breakfast. The parking was a bit of an issue, but not a deal-breaker whatsoever. The staff was very pleasant and professional. Also a great location for walking in and around New Orleans. Highly recommend.

First the room rates overpriced, then the parking is terrible its about a 1/2 mile away with no security, then they charge you 18.00 dollars day for that. They also put a 500 pending charge on credit card for misc charges and when there is none you have to wait 3-5 days for it to take hold off. I didnt enjoy my stay in New Orleans its a overprice city full of drunks!

The only slight downfall is that parking is somewhat detached down the street from the hotel. There is a back entrance from parking that goes directly to the hotel, but I didn't find out about it until afterwards.
