"Horrible/unable to stay"
I checked into this hotel for a one night stay, I didn't feel safe leaving my car in the parking lot. But the worst part is when I got to my room there were stains all over the walls and carpet, the non-smoking room permeated smoke, the toilet was barley attached to the floor and did not flush. I don't mind older hotels but this was not old it was disgusting […] and should not have been able to be used. I wound up finding another hotel that night in the same area that was clean and usable so I could actually rest. The staff was not helpful during the process and I would never consider staying here again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay in Salt Lake City"
This was not great. When we arrived, there were no front desk staff. We waited over 10 min. and finally asked a cleaning lady to find us some help. She asked someone in an adjacent room and he came right out. What was he doing? Sleeping in there??? We did not receive fresh towels our second day there and when we called about it, rather than saying they'd […] bring some right to our room, they actually asked us to come to the office to get them. Say what? As well, the shower curtain was moldy. Lastly, when we returned from a long day, our keys would not open the motel room door. We had to go to the office and have the keys fixed. At midnight, we were exhausted and this was a definite inconvenience. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The customer service is very poor. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"poor family location"
Probably one of the worst stay I have had! The carpets in the rooms were gross and brown. The comforters were ripped and worn. The hot tub was not functioning which was a major reason we choose this hotel. The police were there from about 1200pm to 3am yelling in the parking lot. The next morning one of the employees stated that the police raid happens […] at least 2-3 times a week. NOT something I want to be a part of! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Rating the room"
The "BED" has seen it's use!! Horrible to sleep in. The room was not as clean as we have had before. We had to ask for towels. As a couple in the rooms, there should be two of everything in the way of towels, etc. Staff great. ThxGenuine Expedia guest review

"Smokey in a non-smoking room"
The room that I got was a very smokey smelling room. When I complained the clerk said it was a non-smoking room. I don't think his elevator goes to the top. Anyway he offered another room but said he didn't have a card key for it. So basically I wouldn't be able to leave. So I sleep in a smokey room all night. I arrived and checked in, the employee was friendly however the room that was given wasn't cleaned, went back down and a lady in the lobby had the same issue, while we were being issued a new room she came back down and again was given an un-cleaned room. Lots of debris/ trash in parking lot. 2nd room was fresh and clean. Bathroom didn't have door, […] shower had no curtain and was set up that way so that was rather awkward, backsplash in bathroom, tub backsplash and counter in bathroom were all different materials, but all a faux marble. Facilities were not clearly marked, so it took a minute to find the ice. Booked for the location and price, new I wouldn't be in the room very long. The location is on a busy street and you cannot turn left out of the drive, made it difficult when it was busy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It was my first time getting away and into a hotel with a friend, it was a cute small room. The shower made a weird noise after being in for a couple minutes, but it was good. It was close to home. I would recommend staying there for first timers. The hot tub wasn't working when we were there, it was disappointing.. Overall it was great I loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Didnot care for it one bit. The room had stains from floor to ceiling. The bed was damp and the pool was dirty. The pool was warmer than the jacuzzi. wasted out time and money. keys didn't work. Left before finishing our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not to bad."
considering there were three 19 year old people renting this room for the night wasn't bad. It met our needs. It was kinda scary due to the swing lock was broken off and there was a hole in the wall right behind the door. Made us think it was kicked in. It was nice and quiet though,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room didnt live up to our expectations at all. It was nothing like the picture. The toilet didnt work unless you flushed it 3 times, the key for the room didnt work unless you tried it several times and shoved the door open, the walls were filthy, the carpet was sticky, and the hot tub was broken. We finally asked to be switched to a different room. […] The other room they gave us was much nicer. We just felt like it was not what they had advertised and therefore was not worth the money we paid. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Days Inn Review"
This hotel is under new management and they're really working on making it more pleasant. We had an issue with our door lock not opening for three days, it had to be replaced completely. Maintenance worked on it, but when the Manager came onsite he made sure that it was taken care of the same day. Also had problems with the wireless Internet and again, […] the Manager re-booted the system and had someone check out the main server the next day. I had no further issues. This property had been neglected before, but the new management is working diligently to restore it. A major snow storm had come through before our visit, but maintenance had someone clearing out all the extra snow within a day of our arrival. We stayed for five days and found that the hotel was very convenient to every area we needed for work. If we visit the area again, we will return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Stayed there with my family while visiting my oldest daughter. The rooms and outside areas were old and run down. When we needed extra towels, they didn't have any clean ones. We waited two hours for them to wash towels and they still didn't have any so we had to dry off with small cleaning type towels. Several of the doors to other rooms did not have […] locks on them and it appeared that Homeless people were living there. I didn't feel secure there and would never stay there again. The room was a non-smoking, or was supposed to be. Not sure if it had been a smoking and then changed but it reeked of cigarette and other smoke smells upon check in. "RUN AWAY - DO NOT STAY HERE! Believe me."
Wow. I read the reviews prior to my trip, but only needed the hotel for a few hours - I had a late flight into SLC and had a different hotel reserved for the remainder of my trip - this was my only option within 15 miles of the Convention Center. This place is an absolute disgrace. I have pictures and wish I could post them. The air conditioning unit […] was absent - it had been ripped out of the wall. The temperature outside was 97 - inside it was about the same. The outside was exposed (Room 105) through the grate where the a/c unit use to be. The sheets were filthy (not dirty - filthy). I slept in my clothing even though it was extremely hot. The room was very loud - next to a busy street. The inside of the door had holes from the spray of a shotgun. The nightstand was laughable - the laminate was in pieces on the floor. I will say this, though, the showerhead was fantastic and the water pressure was great. The lobby and dining area of the hotel are clean and updated, a very solid marketing move. The lobby is not at all indicitive of the rooms. I spoke to other guests in the morning, and their experience was similar. HoteldotCom should take this off their list as an option. I have travelled throughout Europe, Central, and South America and this rates as one of the worst places I have actually paid money to sleep at. Trust me, do not stay here. "Great staff - Poor hotel"
Although the staff was great, the hotel was not in good condition. We had to change rooms because the non-smoking room smelled like a smoking room with deordorizer spray. The ice machine didn't work. It was more of a trucker/oil field hotel than a family hotel. The rooms smell like smoke (we asked to move twice but all the rooms smelled the same.) "Never stay here! NEVER!!"
My wife had booked this hotel because I was on the road coming from Wyoming. It was my Mom, myself and her dog. So, she checked on Expedia for a hotel that takes animals. According to Expedia the fee for animals was five dollars, but when she called to varify that we were bringing a dog they told her it was ten dollars. Not that that is a big difference […] but we could have looked for a better hotel with the same pet policy. Anyway, we checked in, where it felt as though it was an inconvience to do and went to our room. As soon as we opened the door the room stank of cigarette smoke. We were never asked if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. We don't smoke, I opened the window and turned on the fan to get the smell out. We had been driving for 24 hours straight and were exhausted or else we would have demanded a new room. We came down for breakfast the next morning the selection was dismal and not clean. The kid behind the desk was beligerent and unhelpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not Impressed But Made The Best Of It"
I was not impressed at all with this hotel or any of there services or staff. I felt unsafe because of the surroundings and neighborhood. Our room smelled of smoke and it was a non-smoking room, we had very few towels, and the windows were all bent out of heck like they had been broken into. We went to the hottub where there were no towels and we called […] and asked for some that we inconveniently had to go get in the cold ourselves, the breakfast was alright but the staff did not want to help us at all and seemed very irritated when we asked for more of the milk and syrup to be refilled. When they did go to refill it they sat in the back and talked with the other staff members and took there time. Luckily my husband and I just had a fun weekend that we overlooked our hotel stay. "Not a place you'll feel, safe, clean or comfortable!"
There was no headboard and no clock in the room what so ever. There was a leak in the ceiling that was patched up with blue painters tape. There were little black beatles crawling on […] the floor, no conditioner or lotions were provided in the room. The room was said to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled as though it had been smoked in for 10 years and then covered up with pickle juice. "Perfect for my needs"
I'd been staying at the hellish nightmare a few blocks away called Intown Suites. The Days Inn is not that much more expensive than an extended stay hotel if you think about the taxes and all the extra fees tacked on. I loved the location - 3300 south is very practical if you're by foot or in a car. It's not a pretty neighborhood, but it isn't criminal; […] just industrial. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, near public transit, interstate, major roads with restaurants. ATM inside; indoor pool; computer in lobby works but it's also Wifi so if the wireless internet isn't working, neither is the lobby computer. "SLC Days Inn, the previous review was correct"
I was worried about this hotel after reading online review for good reason but I could not find a room anywhere near the convention I was attending so decided I would have to take a smoking room even tho I am a non-smoker. The first impression was of a run down motel in a bad neighborhood in major need of painting and major cleaning. But the plus is […] that everything worked in the room, microwave, fridge, tv, coffee maker, shower, etc. and there were no bedbugs so I just made the best of it and ignored the stained furniture and carpet. I did not eat the breakfast, you know the kind, high carb junk food, the waffle thing, sweet rolls, etc. but even though I could not recommend it at least it was tolerable for three nights. "The 24 Hour Airport Shuttle that Wasn't"
I booked this hotel based on its airport shuttle, and called to ensure that the shuttle would operate 24 hours, as I knew my flight would arrive at 9pm local time. When I called for a pickup, I was informed that the manager had gone home for the day, and that the earliest shuttle pick up would be 7am. I had prepaid for the room, so I told the desk clerk […] (who did her best to be helpful), that they could either comp my cab to the hotel or refund the room. They decided to do the latter. I'm dismayed that the information about the shuttle wasn't fully disclosed. It wasted my time and theirs for me to book a hotel that couldn't provide what I needed, and upfront disclosure would have avoided the hassle. Note that the only valid ratings are overall satisfaction (1), convenience of hotel location (5) - it would have been very convenient had I stayed, and quality of hotel service (3) - the hotel clerk did try to resolve my problem within her limited authority. I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't tell you anything else about it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
