Didnot care for it one bit. The room had stains from floor to ceiling. The bed was damp and the pool was dirty. The pool was warmer than the jacuzzi. wasted out time and money. keys didn't work. Left before finishing our stay.

The room was a non-smoking, or was supposed to be. Not sure if it had been a smoking and then changed but it reeked of cigarette and other smoke smells upon check in. Didnt spend much time in the room or would have moved, i'm generally not picky. Wifi never worked, but breakfasts and other parts of facility were good.

Wow. I read the reviews prior to my trip, but only needed the hotel for a few hours - I had a late flight into SLC and had a different hotel reserved for the remainder of my trip - this was my only option within 15 miles of the Convention Center. This place is an absolute disgrace. I have pictures and wish I could post them. The air conditioning unit […] was absent - it had been ripped out of the wall. The temperature outside was 97 - inside it was about the same. The outside was exposed (Room 105) through the grate where the a/c unit use to be. The sheets were filthy (not dirty - filthy). I slept in my clothing even though it was extremely hot. The room was very loud - next to a busy street. The inside of the door had holes from the spray of a shotgun. The nightstand was laughable - the laminate was in pieces on the floor. I will say this, though, the showerhead was fantastic and the water pressure was great. The lobby and dining area of the hotel are clean and updated, a very solid marketing move. The lobby is not at all indicitive of the rooms. I spoke to other guests in the morning, and their experience was similar. HoteldotCom should take this off their list as an option. I have travelled throughout Europe, Central, and South America and this rates as one of the worst places I have actually paid money to sleep at. Trust me, do not stay here. Read more

It was more of a trucker/oil field hotel than a family hotel. The rooms smell like smoke (we asked to move twice but all the rooms smelled the same.) I also believe it is in a rough part of town and there was a drunken fight outside the room, and it was obvious that the teapots on the door were because it had been forced/kicked open.

My wife had booked this hotel because I was on the road coming from Wyoming. It was my Mom, myself and her dog. So, she checked on Expedia for a hotel that takes animals. According to Expedia the fee for animals was five dollars, but when she called to varify that we were bringing a dog they told her it was ten dollars. Not that that is a big difference […] but we could have looked for a better hotel with the same pet policy. Anyway, we checked in, where it felt as though it was an inconvience to do and went to our room. As soon as we opened the door the room stank of cigarette smoke. We were never asked if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. We don't smoke, I opened the window and turned on the fan to get the smell out. We had been driving for 24 hours straight and were exhausted or else we would have demanded a new room. We came down for breakfast the next morning the selection was dismal and not clean. I was not impressed at all with this hotel or any of there services or staff. I felt unsafe because of the surroundings and neighborhood. Our room smelled of smoke and it was a non-smoking room, we had very few towels, and the windows were all bent out of heck like they had been broken into. Arrived at the room and found no hot water in the shower, followed up with fridge that did not work. Went to the indoor pool and found it overflowing with water onto the floors with a hose in it. Dirty pool area and chairs. Internet was down for 7 days (we were there 4). Needs allot of work and probably a new manager.

The key didn't work and we had to go back to the office to get them reactivated. The room was Non-smoking, altough it stank so badly we couldn't sleep well. The only good thing about this hotel was the convenience to the location we needed. The rooms were not clean. There was trash in the stairwells. The door did not lock on the hotel room. We had several rooms reserved, some of the non-smoking rooms still smelled smoky. The pool was not heated. I would NOT recommend this hotel as place.

There was no headboard and no clock in the room what so ever. There was a leak in the ceiling that was patched up with blue painters tape. My pillowcases, and towels were either still dirty or stained. The deadbolt had been broken through and no longer served a purpose which didn't make me feel safe at all! The room was said to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled as though it had been smoked in for 10 years and then covered up with pickle juice. When we arrived at the airport we called for the free shuttle. They said "we don't offer the shuttle after 10pm" We had to find another way to our hotel. When we got to the hotel the lady at the check in desk was VERY unfriendly!! We asked about the shuttle back to the airport and she seemed to not hear us. We asked again and she said "I'm working on […] it" We went to our room. EWWW and YUCK is all I can say. The carpet was filthy, the toilet was dirty, there was toothpaste or something like that all over the sink, hair dryer and door handle to the bathroom. The sheets were stained. I actually slept on my beach towel because it was so dirty!! We went to the desk in the AM to change our shuttle time back to the airport and we had the same kind of rude service from a different person. I don't think they like their jobs! I'd been staying at the hellish nightmare a few blocks away called Intown Suites. The Days Inn is not that much more expensive than an extended stay hotel if you think about the taxes and all the extra fees tacked on. I loved the location - 3300 south is very practical if you're by foot or in a car. It's not a pretty neighborhood, but it isn't criminal; […] just industrial. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, near public transit, interstate, major roads with restaurants. ATM inside; indoor pool; computer in lobby works but it's also Wifi so if the wireless internet isn't working, neither is the lobby computer. I was worried about this hotel after reading online review for good reason but I could not find a room anywhere near the convention I was attending so decided I would have to take a smoking room even tho I am a non-smoker. The first impression was of a run down motel in a bad neighborhood in major need of painting and major cleaning. But the plus is […] that everything worked in the room, microwave, fridge, tv, coffee maker, shower, etc. and there were no bedbugs so I just made the best of it and ignored the stained furniture and carpet. I booked this hotel based on its airport shuttle, and called to ensure that the shuttle would operate 24 hours, as I knew my flight would arrive at 9pm local time. When I called for a pickup, I was informed that the manager had gone home for the day, and that the earliest shuttle pick up would be 7am. I had prepaid for the room, so I told the desk clerk […] (who did her best to be helpful), that they could either comp my cab to the hotel or refund the room. They decided to do the latter. I'm dismayed that the information about the shuttle wasn't fully disclosed. It wasted my time and theirs for me to book a hotel that couldn't provide what I needed, and upfront disclosure would have avoided the hassle. Note that the only valid ratings are overall satisfaction (1), convenience of hotel location (5) - it would have been very convenient had I stayed, and quality of hotel service (3) - the hotel clerk did try to resolve my problem within her limited authority. Very ran down, not in good area. Must have weekly or monthly rates available because some very shady appearing people seem to live there. Garbage all over grounds, rooms not clean, and serious concern for safety staying there. I will never consider a Days Inn again.
