The Front Desk Clerk ( I cannot remember her name), was very kind and very friendly. She was able to get us checked in early and able to get all our rooms close together as we were traveling with family. We had a wonderful stay and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Our room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was nice too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The service, cleanliness, quality, etc. was all very good. My only complaint was that there clearly is a hot tub in the picture on this website. It also lists that in the description of the hotel. But there is not hot tub and the managers said they havn't had one in two years! How many others are incorrect? Sounds like you need to update!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel the location was very convenient and easy to get to. the rooms were clean and in nice condition. We checked in late & the staff were very friendly with helping us check in late. The pool was the perfect size for my little boys to swim in and they had a blast!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Fantastic location and service. Very clean (albeit dated) rooms and property. Great value,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
we were so pleased with this particular hotel. I almost had given up on Fairfeld Inn's after my most recent stay, in another city. Staff was so pleasant, room was quiet, clean and in a very convenient location. Very pleased and will stay again when in the area for business or leisure. I traveled to the area for eye surgery appreciated the kindness of […] the staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This property is a mixed bag. Overall OK, just a few minor irritants that could be easily remedied with a little more attention to detail. Check in was great. Thomas is a first class staff member. Well spoken, pleasant, smiling and ruthlessly efficient. The room was clean but has a few issues. Carpet rolling up in the middle of the floor needs to be replaced. Shower/bath water pressure was too strong while bath sink water pressure was barely more than a trickle. And the ill fitting fitted sheet on our king size bed kept coming off at the corners near our pillows. A/C was great, free breakfast was crowded but quite good, especially the waffle maker. At almost $100 a night, this property can and should do a little better. Still, clean and well staffed are a big plus for budget chains, and the proximity to downtown St. Louis and Busch Stadium for baseball weekends is key. Would consider staying here again for less money.

This Hotel was awesome! It is just over the bridge from St. Louis and very easy to get to. It is located in the heart of the restaurant district which gives you many dining choices. The rooms and hotel in general were very clean and very well maintained. I will be bringing my wife back to the area in the near future and this will be our place to stay!
"Mix up on reservations"

We had a baseball game at a nearby field, and had originally booked for 2 nights. When our game schedule came out, we found that we would not need to stay the first night. I called the hotel and asked them to please cancel our Friday night reservation. I explained the situation, and she was friendly, and said she had taken care of the cancellation. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk explained that when I called several days prior that they had cancelled our second night instead of our first night. She went on to explain to me that they had charged my credit card for not showing up on the night before. I told her that we had cancelled our Friday night stay several days ago, and that our Saturday night stay should not have changed. She apologized and quickly booked our room. Luckily there were rooms available. She explained that it can take up to a week for our credit to be applied back in our account, which was very frustrating. They had my email on file, and I was a little concerned originally when i didn't receive an email with my reservation change. I guess I should have listened to that voice in my head that said call back and double check! I feel they should have offered us a discount for our trouble, but nothing was offered. The room itself was run down, but it did appear to be clean. I will not stay at this hotel again due to the frustration of this experience.

This hotel is a great example of Marriott failing to protect their brand and a shining example of poor management. I booked three rooms in this hotel the third week of May 2014. The only pleasant experience was the guy "Thomas" who checked us in....a real pro when it came to whisking us through the process. I should have Immediately known from the dirty lobby, stained carpets, and funky odors......this was not the place to stay.....but we were tired...14 hours of driving and not in the mood to find another quality hotel. All three rooms were worn out and dirty. The carpets were filthy and the bathrooms looked like a child had smeared white caulk about to cover over mildewed chaulk. We also got short changed on towels. For $110 bucks....I really felt ripped off. I won't eat the morning's breakfast due to the overall poor sanitation of this property. For the money there are far better managed hotels. After this experience, I will no longer stay at this brand of hotel.

Great staff at the desk. My room was very clean -- even the bedspread -- and the showers worked very well. I see that some have said it was noisy but that was not my experience at all. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. In the Fairview area you cannot go wrong with this hotel. In the past week I have found myself at a few different hotels in the area for about the same price and none were as nice as Fairfield. I have found that the appearance and kindness of the hotel desk staff is an indication of how the room will be. As I said, this hotel had a great desk staff.
"Very disappointed - outdated and noisy rooms"
05/12/14 Pam1951 Marietta, Ohio
Just recently returned after two night stay. I have stayed in Fairfield Inns many times and have always been pleased. This one is a definite exception. The staff was wonderful but the rooms were shabby at best. The desk chair in my room was very spotted and worn. The blackout curtain had black dirt stripes on it and had a long rip. The furniture and carpet were so tired looking. Worst of all, the room was very noisy - lots of road noise - seemed as if windows did nothing to block the noise plus the walls were thin. There were people congregating in front of the hotel and it sounded as if they were in the room. I did call downstairs and they did ask them to be quiet which was good. The walls were thin. The breakfast room looked like something in a much lesser quality chain - and the selection was sparse. No English muffins and the bananas were way overripe. Very disappointing. The staff were very nice - it was the physical condition of the rooms that really was not up to par.
"An excellent hotel"

We chose Fairfield Inn for a long weekend stay. We were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. We were able to check in early and had our choice of floor and room location.Room 300 was the furthest from the highway, but road noise never bothers us. We loved the free wi-fi and also being able to open the window.. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Housekeeping did a great job each day. The breakfast had sufficient , tasty selections and was overseen by a very helpful Moy. We had a number of chats with the very helpful and pleasant Thomas at the front desk. It appeared that the hotel was very popular . We certainly do recommend this Fairfield Inn.

Clean, comfortable rooms, and a pool. Great breakfast with real food. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. kids were in the pool past the 8:00 PM cut off. That was our only complaint. Close to restaurants and shopping.

We stayed here last summer while my son participated in a shooting tournament. This hotel was the bright spot in our stay. Our vehicle was robbed while eating at lotawata creek (avoid them!) They took my mom's purse that had our hotel keys. The sweet young lady at the front desk gladly made us more keys when we explained what had happened. The staff we came into contact with were very friendly. The beds were comfortable as well. The pool is a bit on the small side!

A packed weekend in STL for a Cubs/Cards game forced us out of town. We came out here after a long day. The place is older. I noticed a permit they are going to start renovations soon. We had two rooms. One had a microwave, fridge and easy chair. The other was bare bones. Desk, bed etc. the bed was hard and uncomfortable. It was clean. Had the basic breakfast bar. Staff were friendly. Many close restaurants. Stay was not remarkable, the price tag for what we got was a little steep. I hope the renovations go well, they need it.
