Visited St. Louis to attend baseball and football game over the weekend with wife and friends. Nice hotel, nice area easy access to metrolink...would recommend hotel to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Front Desk Clerk ( I cannot remember her name), was very kind and very friendly. She was able to get us checked in early and able to get all our rooms close together as we were traveling with family. We had a wonderful stay and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Our room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was nice too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great service, awesome staff"

"cardinal game weekend"
The service, cleanliness, quality, etc. was all very good. My only complaint was that there clearly is a hot tub in the picture on this website. It also lists that in the description of the hotel. But there is not hot tub and the managers said they havn't had one in two years! How many others are incorrect? Sounds like you need to update!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel the location was very convenient and easy to get to. the rooms were clean and in nice condition. We checked in late & the staff were very friendly with helping us check in late. The pool was the perfect size for my little boys to swim in and they had a blast!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Fantastic location and service. Very clean (albeit dated) rooms and property. Great value,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
we were so pleased with this particular hotel. I almost had given up on Fairfeld Inn's after my most recent stay, in another city. Staff was so pleasant, room was quiet, clean and in a very convenient location. Very pleased and will stay again when in the area for business or leisure. I traveled to the area for eye surgery appreciated the kindness of […] the staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Outdated, loud, uncomfortable beds, old smell, dark"

The staff was very nice, but I had.a bad night here and moved across the street to the newly renovated Hampton Inn. This property is not up to Marriott standards. Interstate noise and noise from other rooms was bad.

This is a nice property with good furnishings and a comfortable bed. Of all the hotels where we've stayed, this one had the best guest information binder. A small thing, but one that can be useful or annoying, and this was was very nice. It was also great not to have to worry about a WIFI password. Only thing that wasn't great was the bathroom. It was very small, and the sink faucet was set incorrectly - the water came out right at the edge of the sink, so you couldn't get your hands wet without touching the sink.
"Just a FAIR Fairfield"

Clean, safe, close to Scott AFB and surrounding businesses and a friendly staff. Overall rating is just fair. Hotel seems to only been given minor updates and has not gotten the full scale new Fairfield overhaul that many in this chain have recently got. I will agree that it was a surprise that the front door is a pull open door, not fun with luggage and bags in tow. I had the last room on the side by the Interstate and could hear cars and trucks passing by all night. Access to I-64, Scott AFB and St. Louis is outstanding. Lots of places to eat nearby. Perfectly fine place for an overnight on business or as a one night Interstate stop on a roadtrip.

I chose the Fairfield Inn at Fairview Heights for a trip to St. Louis. Hotel prices on the Illinois side are generally much lower than those in the city, and access to St. Louis is very quick via I-64. Usually I stay at another chain's hotel in Collinsville, but that hotel was booked for my chosen weekend. The Fairfield Inn in Collinsville was not available for both nights of my stay, so staying in Fairview Heights was the back-up plan. We were welcomed by a friendly desk clerk who checked us in quickly. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Everything worked as it should. There was a convenient charger dock on the night stand with USB ports and electrical outlets. I appreciated the accessible outlets for my CPAP machine, as I'm often having to dig behind the nightstand for an outlet and end up having to choose to unplug either the lamp or the clock. Breakfast was good, but other chains in this class provide a little more variety and convenience. Still, everything was fresh, and the attendant was busy making sure that all food items were well stocked and the area kept clean. I will say that the bathroom was quite small. There would not be room for, say, one person to brush teeth and another to dry hair or do make-up. Definitely a one-person-at-a-time area. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave - nice touches that are not always available. There was no easy chair in the room, though, and I missed that. I usually find a chair more comfortable to sit and read than the bed. The condition of the room was very good, with one exception. I noticed a large rip in the sheer curtains, and several holes in the black-out curtain. I mentioned this to the front desk at check-out. This did not affect the quality of my stay, but it certainly made the room look a little tacky.

You won't be disappointed! I thought I would try this hotel to stay a few minutes a way from an early AM meeting. If you aren't a discerning business traveler like me-you will probably like this hotel. It is clean and not expensive and the staff is very friendly. If you want a modern spacious hotel, and are used to the wonderful new updated Fairfield Inn-you won't be very impressed. No onsite workout room? This is a fine place to just sleep and go-maybe on a long road trip with family.
"Very friendly staff"

Everything about the hotel was adequate. Fine air conditioning, relatively quiet (even being right on the main hallway intersection), comfortable bed, and a fridge. It's at a convenient location right off I-64, close to Scott Air Force Base, and within walking distance of several restaurants (Red Lobster, Applebees, etc.). The #12 bus goes right out front, and will take you to the metro station, where you can catch the train into downtown (use the stop across the street). There is also the Stonewolf golf course about a 5 minute drive to the north, which is supposed to be exceptional. There was always coffee in the lobby, plus hot water and tea, and the breakfasts were reasonable. What made this hotel better was the staff. They were very friendly, from the housekeeper to the front desk staff. They all seemed to really care about their job. It was refreshing. A note: I knocked a point of cleanliness as one of my towels had a peculiar stain on it (nothing gross, just like grease or something).
"It was adequate"

We stayed one night in August 2014 and had two rooms on the 2nd floor by the elevator. I wouldn't recommend staying by the elevator again, since people can talk LOUD as they are waiting for the elevator at all hours of the night. One of our rooms had an air conditioning unit that leaked water all night (you could hear it). We called the front desk to report it before bed time. A man came up and looked at it and basically said there was nothing he could do. We ended up placing towels underneath it and they were completely soaked by morning. The hotel is kind of close to the highway and I heard the traffic noise a few times in the night. The breakfast was good, but the seating area for the breakfast is small and our group of 7 had to eat in shifts. The pool was nice. Overall, the hotel was adequate, but I don't plan on returning.

We had a quick trip to the St. Louis area. It was mainly to visit friends in Illinois but to also go into St. Louis one day. This Fairfield is conveniently located so going into St. Louis was a breeze and visiting our friends in the area was equally easy. We had our dog with us and the fee for her worked out to be less than putting her in the kennel - besides we love having her with us.

Wow! What a great place to stay! From check in to check out, we were so pleased. The customer service is above and beyond! Scott and Janese were great! We were checked in quickly. We arrived around 11am, due to having plans through out the day, we wanted to go ahead and register, even though we knew our rooms wouldn't be ready. They offered to keep our bags for us until our rooms were ready. They also called us when our rooms were ready. Our rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The bed was so comfy and it was so quiet! The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. We loved the fresh baked cookies in the evenings. We asked them about good places to eat and they gave us the name of several area restaurants. They were right on! We had a great weekend and will be back soon!
"Remake of an old what?"

From the front door that is difficult to pull open when you are struggling with a suitcase and rolling briefcase to a bathroom so tiny you can' turn around when the door is open. No closet - just a space with 6 hangers. Old carpet that was bunching up in front of the door. Only 2 dresser drawers and an AC they kept the curtains blowing open (on the ground floor this is a bad idea). Fitted sheets never stayed on the bed and the water pressure in the bathroom sink is on mega high. Knocked my cup out of my hand. The room had no refrigerator or microwave so forget about bringing your leftovers back. When I asked the desk they said they had one in storage they might find. By the next day I decided to move to a location which had everything I needed for the same price (109) and they brought in a refrigerator and microwave - Too little too late - sorry - I left.
