Response by Coast Bellevue Hotel We're glad you found our central location helpful for your time in Bellevue!
Since there wasn't a hot tub at the hotel, I planned to take a hot bath in my room instead. I was excited to find a nice timed heat lamp in the bathroom (even though the switch plate was broken), but when I went it to get ready for my bath, I noticed the bathroom was disgusting! The breakfast could have been better by adding another person to help keep the food bar serviced and full of food, coffee and juice. There was only one server for the dinner crowd and our group of eight got our food one person at a time instead of serving everyone at one time like most restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Coast Bellevue Hotel We apologize for your experience on this occasion. We certainly wish we could have rectified the situation upon arrival, but we were not aware of it until now.
"thanks for the upgrade ..."
The room we were assigned had a roll away bed. The room was already pretty small so we called the front desk to have it removed. They said the room had been made up for someone else, and there had been some confusion during the front desk shift change. For our inconvenience we were upgraded to a suite. It was very nice and had a living area, tv, fridge, […] microwave and small sink on the entry levelm. A spiral staircase lead to the loft area bedroom, desk, tv and full bath. It was a nice treat to be able to spread out so much. My only compliant was the staircase - it would have taken too much effort to lug our suitcase upstairs, so we left it in the living area and took up only what we needed. It worked out great though. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very disappointing on many levels"
First the hotel couldn't find our reservation, then our truck was broken into and the padlock cut off our trailer in their parking lot. The attached restaurant has terribly old, stained, threadbare furniture and very slow disinterested service. We found the night manager to be helpful with our break-in but the desk staff didn't communicate with each […] other and they tried to cancel our stay half-way through our five day booking. We've never left a bad review before, but others in the hotel expressed dismay over the conditions as well while we were there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice place in bellview"
We had 2nights there 1st floor it was nice size room with king staff was nice let us park motorcycle under covered walk way close to everything in belview downtown Seattle was acessableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
So this place is in a really awesome location, and affordable for Seattle, it is very close to the city, but, still plan on a commute to the city center especially during normal working hours. The hotel itself is clean, the lobby is very sheik, but the rest of the hotel is a little dated, not saying that it's not a good place to stay, the beds are comfy, […] and the staff is friendly. Based on the value and location I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice outside look, but inside is super old"
While looking at the hotel from outside, it gives you the perception of a good hotel, inside the rooms are super old. I liked the bar/restaurant within the hotel, but breakfast did not have eggs. And I ended up driving 5-10 minutes to find a place to eat breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Careful with this one..."
Hold hotel for way too much money. Hotel is old and has a generally dirty feel to it inside and out, Staff were fairly friendly best staff was in the restaurant. We were there for college visits and it was close to Seattle but think we should have looked harder at finding a better hotel. We asked for two queen beds and got one king. Hallways smelled […] heavily of smoke though our room was a nonsmoking room. Would not stay there again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice reasonable Hotel close to freeway."
Sorry I don't have pictures but found the hotel a great location for my overnight business trip to Bellevue,Wa. The room was large and king bed very comfortable. Nice flat screen TV and little coffee maker. No tea in the room but I always bring some along in case. The staff was very nice and helpful. The computer to get my boarding pass was quite slow […] but got the job done. Only one small soap but I'm sure if I needed more I could have asked. I was on the freeway side but the muted noise didn't bother me. You may want to request the side away from the front if you want extra quiet. Continental breakfast was nice and fresh but not as extensive as some. Happy traveling. Nancy Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"location is the only good thing about this hotel"
the hotel is outdated. It looks like there has been some effort to upgrade the lobby area but, the rooms are something else. The (male) supervisor working in the afternoon of 7/21/14 was super nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Bellevue center"
The Coast was easy to find, just off the 405 FWY. Unfortunately, that means traffic noise for rooms on the west side of the building. Our room was clean but dated. The beds are soft. The bathrooms need updating. Getting from the hotel to Bellevue center was quick and convenient. Continental breakfast was complementary and a nice touch. There is an outdoor […] pool, but on one of the hottest days of the year, it was closed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"What was advertized was not what you get."
The Coast Bellevue Hotel when I booked it seemed like a nice place to stay for the night. The photo of the lobby seemed modern and up to date. Unfortunately the rooms were not up to date. Our room was not clean, you open up the room door and it looks right into the bathroom that didn't have a door. When we woke up in the morning there was a nasty smell […] in the hallway, not smoke. The smell was there when we went to breakfast and when we returned to the room the smell was still there, disgusting smell. Will not stay there again and will definitely not recommend it. "Pool Not Open"
Our experience at this hotel was terrible. We specifically looked for a hotel with a pool. When I made reservations I specifically asked if the hotel had a pool. The hotel did have a pool, but it was green and never open. When we checked in they couldn't access our reservations for some reason. Took we at least 30 minutes to get checked in. Finally […] got checked in and went to take a nap. We put the do not disturb sign on the door. While sleeping there was a quick knock on the door and then then without hesitating the maid walked into the room. When the sign was pointed out she said she was told we had checked out - we had only just checked in a couple hours before. Went the the restaurant for breakfast and brought a tray of food back to the room. The breakfast was good. After eating we placed our tray in the hallway. There were cleaning people in the hallway at the time I place the tray there. The tray sat all day and was not picked up until early evening. We later decided to get a pizza from the restaurant. The cheese was burnt and the dough was raw. The pineapple was in rounds instead of chunks and covered with the burnt cheese. When I called down to complain about the pizza they said they would make a new one. I told them I wasn't interested and that I was just grossed out at that point. They insistedon making a new one for us even though I told them we didn't want it. There is so much more but I am out of space. Don't go to this hotel Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel. Complimentary breakfast - so, so."
Business travel. Comfortable and convenient hotel in Bellevue. Complimentary breakfast was so, so; no protein, mostly sugary cereals, muffins. Limited fruit options (Bananas only). I opted out of the complimentary breakfast and ate elsewhere where I could get a good bowl of oatmeal, a couple of poached eggs, and a good cup of coffee. Not a big deal […] though, the hotel is nice enough for a second stay. The "gym" is very limited. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable when others are VERY overpriced"
Easy to find...within 15 minutes of downtown Seattle (if you don't hit rush hour) You get what you pay for...was clean, so-so restaurant...FREE continental breakfast nothing to brag about. Would stay here again as long as price stays reasonable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Was a nice place to stay!"
Our overall experience was great with a very reasonable rate. The staff was top notch, very polite and took care of any issues. Upon arrival the room had an odor due to a sour shower curtain and bath mat. The housekeeping staff took care of the issue right away, upon request. The desk staff were friendly and speedy. There were two double beds one was […] too soft from wear or some type of abuse such as being jumped on in the middle. The grill downstairs where the free breakfast was - was very nice. The breakfast was a carb based one like most free breakfasts. I did see room service trays upstairs but I don't have any idea what that menu was because I never saw it. We did not try the restaurant downstairs for dinner. Seems like a nice hotel and would be suitable for most people. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"great for the price"
This was a good buy- great location with more than adequate space and comfort. For those comparing this to the 200+ Marriott- it isn't. But it was better than expected, and we have seen a lot of places.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Price but wouldn't stay again"
Good price and the bed was comfortable. The negative that would impact staying again is cleanliness and customer service. The room smelled to the point that it impacted allergies for multiple family members. It smelled like it had been smoked in or needed to be deep cleaned. The hotel in general needed additional staff I think to keep up with cleaning. […] I have never seen a continental breakfast like the one at this hotel. It appeared that the staff were trying to keep up but when we arrived at a normal time there were littered plates everywhere, crumbs, overflowing garbages etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, Quiet, and Comfortable"
A very nice hotel not too far away from downtown Seattle. Old Town Bellvue was nearby and had some decent restaurants where we had dinner one night. There was also a Whole Foods across the street where we bought snacks. We really liked the hotel and the location and would definitely return. a nice stay with comfort we expect from the coast hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I travel to Seattle for work regularly and this is a very conveniently located hotel on the east side. The staff is nice, professional and pleasant to work with. The hotel, however, is pretty dated - older furniture and décor, has an off smell which I think is due to tobacco which wasn't covered up well, and very loud bathroom fans that are motion activated. […] There's a bit more road noise than I like; the hotel is situated between a freeway and a fairly busy street. Its not my first choice but I'll stay here if I need to be in Bellevue and I can't find anywhere else to stay within my budget. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A "tired" hotel that needs a renovation."
On a road trip and different hotels every couple of nights. Bellevue was the worst of the hotels during our travels. Extremely noisy. While this is not the hotel's fault, it is difficult to avoid other guests conversations and merriment due to the way the rooms are situated. Beds were comfortable but overall the room was "dingy". Not something we expected […] in Bellevue. A sort of "old, tired, worn feeling". Breakfast consisted of sweet rolls, cereals and yogurt, not great. Staff were pleasant, especially in the dining/bar area. Not a place we will stay at again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I was very pleased with my stay at Coast Hotel, the service was very good especially their bartender who was most helpful in finding a quick remedy when my girl friend was quite under the weather. we were so pleased with our stay at your hotel. From the courtesy of the front desk staff, to the quiet 6th floor room which was very comfortable, to a great breakfast --it all went together to make a very nice overnight stay. "You can't polish a you-know-what"
The lobby and hallways have been remodeled and are nice, but the rooms have NOT. New carpet and new bed linens do not completely update a room. The TV was and old tube TV that would have been fine if the top third of the screen hadn't been blown out. The beds are so old and soft that the have permanent indentations where guests have slept over the years. […] The service was mediocre. The first room I was given smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that I immediately went back to the front desk and requested another room. They questioned me stating that the entire hotel was nonsmoking. I know what cigarette smoke smells like. Luckily my second room was odor free, but on two other occasions during my stay I witnessed more than one guest smoking in the hallway and in a guest room with the door open. The location across the 405 from downtown Bellevue is great, so is the parking situation. Had it not been for these two things, I would have completely regretted my stay. "Kind of like a Days Inn"
Not a bad hotel - if you are looking for a 5 star experience, this isn't it. However, if you are looking for a decently priced room, that is clean then this is the hotel for you. The only thing I don't like about this hotel is that they put the refrigerator on the floor under the bathroom sink. I just think anything food related shouldn't be that close […] to the floor or bathroom. Otherwise not a bad place for the price. Room service is quick, food is hotel quality. It wasn't a bad place to stay and served it's purpose for my business trip. The staff was polite and helpful. The only thing was that I asked about the shuttle and where it goes and no one could seem to tell me. So I know that it travels in a 4 mile radius but for someone who is from out of town, I would have liked to know if it makes stops at particular points of interest or...? Also, the gym is great for cardio only. They have a treadmill, elliptical and a bar (think ballet) on the wall and that is it. No weights. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to downtown Bellevue"
We booked a double room, however when we arrived we were told they ran out of doubles so, they upgraded us to a suite that could sleep up to 4. It sounded good until we saw the room. In the living room there was a pullout that had seen better days(very saggy). It looked like they pulled it off an absolutely free column. and the bedroom was on a 2nd […] level up a set of very narrow spiral open stairs. The bath was also up stairs. The king side bed was lovely, however the direct view of the hallway with no way to close the curtains on the 2 story wall of windows was odd. I think the carpets had just been cleaned as they were crunchy on the 1st level and none of the lamps/clocks were plugged in.(??) The free breakfast was a total joke, as there was no protein offered unless you ordered off the menu in the restaurant. We had to ask several times for fruit. Several other customers wanted cereal and couldn't get bowls. Breakfast area was understaffed and the 1 gal there didn't appear to be trained. The front desk staff was very nice and the grounds looked pretty good especially the central patio area. It was a 5 minute walk over the freeway to downtown and there was a shuttle service until early evening. Would I stay here again? I don't know. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Overall I had a nice stay (4 nights). Breakfast was good, but for the price I was expecting some scramble eggs and sausage would be available. The room I got was a the very end of the building (in front of the pool) near to the freeway, but was quite enough to have good sleep (but someone noise sensitve could notice the cars passing by).
