"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"The St. Regis Hotel in Vacouver"
My stay at the St. Regis Hotel in Vancouver could not have been better. The hotel is modern, clean and has all of the amenities that anyone could wish for including wireless internet, free local and International long distance and a wonderful sit down breakfast daily. The site is convenient to the convention center and several shopping areas. I highly […] recommend this hotel for anyone traveling for business or pleasure. Read more
"Quiet, centrally located, great breakfast"
Attended conf. at Trade Center, convenient location, great beds, service and breakfast- I'd gladly return
"A great hotel"
This is a great hotel with wonderful staff and a amazing location, I have to be honest about something, you can hear people talking and having fun outside but that is something you can expect when you are staying in ANY downtown, and it didnt bother me. I would love to go back to this place.
"One night was not enough"
The service was fabulous and the room extremely comfortable and clean! Felix (the concierge's name I think) was very welcoming and helpful, producing a menu for the restaurant next door and scales to weigh our luggage. The location is awesome and the free internet and international phone calls (yes ... Free!!) were a wonderful bonus after a few weeks […] away from home in Australia. We wanted to stay longer and will definitely stay there again when we return to Vancouver. Don't hesitate to book in. Read more
"Excellent Service"
Good: EXCELLENT service and staff. Great complimentary breakfast. Modern, sleek, contemporary rooms. Location can be good and bad. It's smack in the middle of downtown Vancouver, and that is good in that access to the Canada Line, restaurants, shopping centers, and other businesses is at your fingertips. The downside is that Downtown Vancouver can […] remain pretty busy and noisy into the wee hours and the street scene can be heard easily depending on what room you occupy. Still, St. Regis is an excellent choice for your stay in Vancouver! Read more

"The St. Regis in Vancouver, BC"
The entire experience at the St. Regis was wonderful. The facility was lovely and the front desk staff incredibly helpful and charming. I would definitely return.
"Excellent breakfast too"
A small and well-run hotel, with an excellent breakfast that could last a normal person all day. The rooms are small but exceptionally clean and comfortable.
"decent, plenty of better options in the city"
recommended only if find an excellent rate, taking a cab into the city, and only using room for sleep. i knew it was a boutique hotel but room was too small for my preference. reminded me of a cell. pros: renovated & clean rooms, staff during breakfast were wonderful as were those at the bar next door which was lively. cons: parking was a hassle, […] front desk staff was not courteous, and thermostat did not work. could hear guests in and out of rooms. "Great Location!!!"
Cant beat the location. 1 block from light rail station, 3 blocks from Gastown, 4 blocks from Chinatown, 1 block from Mall.
"Great Amenities Included"
For the price, this hotel was a great deal. The included breakfast was quite nice, including waiter service and the option between an omelette, eggs and meat, or a traditional continental breakfast. Free international phone calls were also included for free, and there was free wifi. It was a great location, and easy walking distance to the downtown […] area and it was right on public transit. "St. Regis Hotel & Parking Situation"
They did not disclose upfront that parking is an additional $33 per day with a $50 deposit. Made for a nice surprise at the end of our stay... Also, free breakfast was very kind but not very appetizing. Other than that it was a very nice hotel!

"SMALL hotel"
Rooms were very small. Elevator only allowed 2 people with bags. Scary people surrounding the cars and smoking not cigarettes or cigars next to building at 9pm at night!! Friendly staff until the day to check out. We received 2 calls prior to noon check out asking when we are leaving, and manager said we would be charged if we would not be out in time. […] We were 5 minutes late for free breakfast the last day, and we were told it was not available anymore. Not good service until we paid for an upgraded room. Expensive extra charge for parking and down the street was few dollars for public garage parking. Beds were comfortable, decor and renovation of small room was nice. Location was easy to walk to shopping. Read more
"Mixed feelings"
Well this hotel was on the higher end of our price label and we expected a little bit more in this category. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly, BUT some other things were not as expected. We booked our room in August and requested King bed, we got a so called "smart double" I don't know why they call it Smart? TV was not […] working properly, tone was sometimes loud, sometimes you couldn't hear it, without any change on the remote control. TV picture was bad. Beds as mentioned above, not as requested and if I want to have a king and it is not available by the time I book it, then it should not be available for choosing. We stayed for 4 nights and had breakfast included in our room charge, but problem is, you can only choose from 3 diffrent kind of breakfast, so bassically it is the same every day, how boring. Also you get only one glass of juice and one can of coffee. Parking: No space to check in, you have to use your hazard light to stay on a busy main street, run into desk to get as quick as possible your parking card. Then you have to go to into backyard to a diffrent building where you can park underground your car. Of course then you have to carry all your luggage up, across backyard, walk 100 mtr to check in desk. On our trip we stayed in hotels with half the price but with value parking, which make it way easier. As I said, if the price tag would be have, ok, but with high end prices, this is not the service I expect. Read more
Very nice staff, very clean and modern room, bathroom to die for, excellent location.
"phenomenal service, great location"
travel for business great location great service close to food, shopping, offices parking is a pain but livable internet isn't the fastest
"Clean, inconvienant parking, noisy at night"
This hotel is clean and proffesional. I did not like the parking,it is in another building and had to go through several doors just to get to hotel. Lobby was freazing cold since there are not two sets of doors so all cold air from outside came into the lobby. It is also noisy at night since you are on main streets of vancouver. Luckliy i brought earplugs. […] Also room was small, we had a one bedroom. Read more

If you're wondering why the room is cheap for the St. Regis, you should be aware that the St. Regis Vancouver is in no way affiliated with the five star hotel chain in the U.S. I failed to do my homework and made that erroneous assumption. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The furniture and appliances looked good but were of sub-par construction. […] Plumbing fixtures were misaligned. They provided a single bar of soap that I had to keep moving from the shower to the basin and back as needed. The bathroom had less than half a roll of toilet paper and no extra roll. This wasn't a problem but it's not something you want to discover in the middle of the night. It was not a bad experience but don't expect a five-star hotel. Read more
"St. Regis - the Hotel to stay it in Vancouver"
I want to go back to Vancouver just to return to the St. Regis. For work I stay in hotels all the time... I was so very impressed with this hotel. The best!
"wonderful boutique hotel"
From the moment we stepped into the St. Regis we were greeted and made to feel at home. Without exception the staff was attentive, friendly, enthusiastic and above all helpful. The room while not particularly large (Queen) was very comfortable and immaculate. In all our travels we do not remember seeing a bathroom that glistened the way ours did! Included […] is a FULL and very generous American breakfast daily. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions. Metro stations re only steps away making all of Vancouver easily accessible. In fact, upon checking out and at the suggestion of the front desk, we took the train (baggage and all) to the airport (YVR) ---- 20 minutes and about $8 total for the two of us! Read more
"First class boutique hotel"
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and style of the renovation and decoration of the building that became the St. Regis hotel. Every detail, design-wise and hospitality-wise, was perfect. The staff was exceedingly helpful but not intrusive. Included in the reasonable price was high speed internet and free local and worldwide long distance. Also […] included is a full English-style breakfast in their downstairs breakfast salon. In the same building are two of the top restaurants in the city, Gotham Grill (for great steaks) and the Shore Club (for seafood). I usually don't write reviews because most hotels are the same but this hotel is exceptional. Read more
"easy chair"
while we enjoyed our stay and the staff was exellent we were a little disappointed in the size of the room. It was too small for an easy chair to sit and read. If we wanted to relax in the room we had to sit or lay on the bed. The breakfast however was very good and the front desk people were wonderful.
"St.Regis Hotel, VAncouver"
Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and the receptionist was extremely helpful and service minded. The breakfast was also to our liking. Highly recommended. BK New Orleans
"St. Regis Hotel a great boutique hotel"
We stayed two nights in a room with two double beds. The decor is beautiful, very muted and restful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the service was outstanding. Unfortunately with the two double beds, there was little room to sit, other than at the desk. The free international calling is attractive and so we used that service. Overall a great […] little hotel, close to most attractions, although the area is a little seedy. Read more
"Excellent "breakfast included" experience"
Three very favorable things stood out for us at the St. Regis: Breakfast, free world-wide phone, and central location. The phone was a good thing since the international roaming charges on our phone were prohibitive. Breakfast was table service like a restaurant with a limited menu--but included in the room charge. We ate breakfast five mornings and […] each time we were served quickly. They always left a carafe of coffee at the table. The menu had plenty for us to choose from: eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, fruit, muffins, cereal, juices, bagels, etc. The ladies working in the dining room were very friendly and efficient. Our room was very nice, the front desk was helpful, and the rooms were kept nice. The only slight negative to the St. Regis was the area to the east of the hotel. While the hotel is in a nice part of town, the people atmosphere heading east was not as nice as heading west. The St. Regis is very accessible from the airport using the Sky Train. The hotel is next to the Granville Station for the Sky Train and less than two blocks from the Vancouver City Center Station for the Sky Train. The Vancouver City Center Station is the Canada Line which takes you directly to and from YVR Airport (24 minutes and C$3.75). Read more
"Great Hotel"
We stayed at the St. Regis for a conference. It was a great hotel with wonderful amenities. Free internet, free water, and best- FREE international calls. I have a little one, so it was nice to be able to call and check on him without a huge bill. The staff was very helpful and the room was great. The beds were comfortable- best sleep I have had in […] quite a while. I would stay here again. Read more
"great location"
close to everything; shops, restaurants, train stations. The Canada line station to the airport is just a short walking distance from the hotel. Room is clean and comfortable.
"A Great Hotel"
We stayed at the hotel four nights and were very satisfied. The location is perfect. The room was excellent, not big but very welcoming with a very nice bathroom. Free WIFI, phone, a great breakfast and more is very nice. Staff was very helpful. I highly recommend the hotel.
"St. Regis hotel"
When booking our room on the phone with hotels.com, we were promised and assured that the room would not be located on the first floor which is extremely noisy. Our confirmation made no mention of this as a "special request." We were charged and a week prior, we called the St. Regis directly to confirm. The staff at the hotel told us that because we […] used hotels.com, the hotel was under no obligation to locate us on an upper floor as we had been promised. Not only was the room on the first floor but was behind a vent. The staff was very nice, the breakfast was great but the room was lacking. Read more
"St Regis in Vancouver"
This hotel was really good in all respects other than the air quality in the halls and rooms. The ventilation system seems to be taking in air from there own or neighboring restaurant exhaust fans. If the owners can get that problem fixed it would be a really good choice in Vancouver.
"Great location"
Everything is within walking distance and if it's not, the public transportation or hop-on-hop-off shuttles will get you everywhere. I chose this hotel primarily because of location but also because of the complimentary wifi and full breakfast. When I arrived, I found out that you could make free phone calls to anywhere in the world! I would definitely […] stay here again! Read more
"St. Regis - beautiful rooms and poor service"
Had a lst minute trip to the Stanley Cup finals game. Found the St. Regis online and secured an Executive Suite. Arrived at 1pm and informed the hotel of our arrival. As we were heading to a 5pm game we wanted to get checked-in as early as possible to join the festivities. When 3pm check-in arrived our room was still not available, and the front desk […] gentleman was rude and coarse in stating that it is not ready and that he didn't know when it would be, then dismissed us. Again, we had an executive suite - not the standard room. The room was fantastic - beautiful and clean. The location was ideal for our needs - .5 mile to the arena, 2-blocks off Robson, close to Restaurants and Bars. I definitely recommend this hotel to others who are not particularly concerned with great service. The location and facility was fantastic! Read more
"Great breakfast and awesome staff"
I accidentally ended up here because my friends had already booked but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast is amazing. I loved that it was within walking distance to the convention center, which is where I needed to be for the week. It's really close to the skytrain and the buses. I recommend if you have the cash […] to spend. Read more

"Superb find"
The hotel was outstanding in every respect. It's great to begin with a professional, quality breakfast. The rooms and facilities were superb. The staff were friendly. The only downside is the lack of a free gym (you can pay a discounted rate to use the gym in the next building).
"Great breakfast, comfy trendy room"
Modern, highly designed hotel with great service, esp. the cooked-to-order breakfasts. Lovely bathroom with deep soaker tub. Small room and no view, but everything else more than made up for that. Convenient location for walking around downtown.
"Unexpected delight"
The surrounding area is not that great and the exterior isn't all that exciting, but this hides a superb interior — modern decor, delightful staff and a delicious full breakfast. The adjacent grill offers interesting variations on basic foods t reasonable prices.
"Pretty, with flaws"
We stayed one night at the St. Regis. We were under the assumption that St. Regis holds their entire hotel chain under the same scrutiny to uphold outstanding service and luxurious amenities. When we arrived the hotel was lacking: it didn't provide shuttle service anywhere - we needed transportation from the airport to the hotel and they told us there's […] a metro that we could take, and when we ultimately took a taxi, it ended up being $35 CA; we needed transportation from the hotel to the port for our cruise and they told us it's a 12 minute walk when it's really a half hour or more, especially with luggage! We were really stunned. Although our room was comfortable, our view was really unappealing - we had a view of the hotel's air conditioning unit. Our booking included a full breakfast which was really delicious. We ended up taking a taxi to the port. Read more

"Extremely helpful staff"
In town for a convention and had to book a room last minute. The staff was beyond pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spotless and the property was immaculate. Whatever the company is paying the staff is not enough to compensate them for the level of great service. I'll be back!
"I'd go back tomorrow"
The St. Regis was a lovely hotel. The accommodations were very nice and the location was just a quick walk from the Skytrain station. The staff was terrific as well. the complimentary breakfast was a full breakfast that was cooked to order. One thing you'll get here and no where else is free international calls. It will be my first choice on my next […] visit. Read more

"St. Regis, close, classy, and comfortable!"
We have only stayed in Vancouver once before, and I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to downtown. When you first arrive - be prepared for parking inconvenience. You are expected to pull to the curb (which is a lane)and turn your hazard lights on while you run inside and get a card that will allow you to use the parking garage. The street is […] one of the main streets in town, and if you are a passenger waiting in the car, expect to get honked at and flipped off as drivers veer to go around you. The good news is - once you have parked, everything gets better! The parking is quite secure, and the hotel is wonderful! The room was not large, but was very nice. Not much of a view, but it was fun to watch people on the street. The bed intially felt like it might not be very comfortable, but I slept like a baby. The rooms are set up for every electronic gadget you can think of, so you can bring your computer, video game machine, etc. The bathtub is large and deep, and great to soak in after a full day of walking. Oh yes - the elevator is TINY. Reaaly tiny. Not a big deal until everyone is trying to check out, then it gets a little inconvenient. The restaurant downstairs has great food, but we were there on a night there was a boxing match on TV, and it was so loud, we couldn't hear each other talking at all. The free breakfast was really great, eggs, bacon, juice - the whole bit. We will definitely stay there again. Read more
