We stayed here one night for a wedding. The room was pretty small, but was clean and sufficient for the two of us. Wifi was included which was great. They have a restaurant on the lobby floor that serves great breakfast. The location is just a couple blocks (walking distance) to Eaton center and there is a Starbucks and several other restaurants on […] the way. The only complaint was that there is no parking for this hotel but the front desk was helpful enough to direct us to an affordable Parking garage a couple clocks away. Great smallish hotel close to underground , walk to theater sports, great food and waterfront. Small well apointed rooms provide great base to Explore toronto. Resturaunt in hotel very good open for lunch and breakfast. No bar but Across the street is the best irish pub in town with great food.

Victoria shows signs of wear, ie. bottom of doors, etc..but very clean, good restaurant on first floor, nice staff and very reasonable price on a Pre-pay on Hotels.com I would stay again! Thank you. RVW

Lovely, well-appointed small hotel in a great downtown location -- a first class experience without being over the top at a good price. Has a nice breakfast restaurant at a reasonable price point downstairs and fee-based access to a real health club. Recommended for business travelers and couples spending a weekend in the city.

I was in Toronto for the weekend to meet a friend and this hotel was in the perfect spot. Within walking distance to the ACC and Eaton center. Hotel itself was clean and staff was very accomodating. They allowed me to check in early too. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Wallpaper peeling from bathroom walls, oversized hard pillows, constant noise from subway all led to a poor nights sleep and completely negated the benefits of a great location. We are frequent visitors to Toronto and thsi will be our last stay here. Very disappointed.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Having free wifi is excellent. The room I was in was somewhat small, but perfect for one person. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel is close to the subway, so getting around Toronto without a car was easy. Great downtown location, but as long as public transportation is close to a hotel here, location is not as important. We chose a less expensive hotel with a great location and got what we paid for. Free wifi worked OK. Room was quite small, especially the bathroom; it needed more bath hooks, counter space etc. since it was so small. Room was updated […] and clean except for mold around window. Bed was quite comfortable. Flat screen tv; no refrigerator; under the window type ac, which was a bit noisy but worked well. The Hotel Victoria was a great choice right downtown in Toronto. It's an easy walk to St. Lawrence Market, the shopping district, and even Chinatown and Kensington Market. Convenient for metro stops, too. It was SO quiet that you'd think that we were the only people staying there. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The only issue was that because […] it is right downtown in the financial district, it was tricky for checking in and out. For checking in, they said to stop in front with hazard lights on, but when we went to check out (at 8:30 a.m.), it was a no stopping time, so we had to park around the corner on Melinda St. and leave one person in the car (it was also no stopping, but a much smaller, quieter side street) while the other checked out. Hotel Victoria has physically renovated their hotel and now charges prices that are comparable (and sometimes more, depending on others' specials) that the first rate larger hotels in Toronto charge BUT its service is still second rate and inadequate - arrogant attitude, incorrect information of what to do in Toronto, no answers to many simple questions […] (how does TV work?), front door locked early in the evening leaving one out in rain on dark streets (for example) for uncertain length of time etc. etc.. This hotel is in a great location of town where you can easily walk to destinations and/or mass transit for location out of town. Parking is a few blocks away but staff is helpful in pointing out the location by providing a map. We did not receive any door assistance with our luggage and this was a bit awkward as the sidewalk is quite busy with pedestrian […] traffic. The room was efficient, clean and comfortable. We were disappointed when we found one of the lights in the bathroom not working, likely a bulb was burned out. We reported it immediately, however, in our 2 day stay, it was not repaired. I chose this hotel after reading the good reviews from other travelers on line. We had originally chosen another hotel for a one night stay but changed the Hotel Victoria when we decided to stay for two nights. The location is central in the financial district and close to the Market, the lake shore and the subway for getting around. There is no parking […] facility that is associated with the hotel but a Toronto City Garage several blocks away on Church St.. The hotel was nice and updated( they had installed new hallway carpeting on our floor the day we arrived ) and I found it to be enjoyable and a nice refuge in Toronto. My only small complaint was that the pillows on the bed really were awful, like sleeping on a log. Everything else was very nice. Read more

Check in person was great, even recommended a place to eat. Hot water issue 2nd day was corrected immediately. As we are very neat we declined maid service occasionally-- for that we received a rather insulting letter telling us that this program did not meet their "high standards" - management should review this letter and reword it. I stayed 3 nights I found the mattress to be too soft, and offered no support, and the pillows are too firm. I woke up each day with back and neck aches. Standard roooms are tiny and view is of brick walls. Elevator is extremely slow and loud. Hotel is in good location for tourists.
