Nice but could be nicer.
Hotel is quaint; 5 nights and only ran into a few other quests. Very friendly staff. Stayed on 5th floor facing Yonge St...do not recommend due to noisy street traffic while trying to sleep. Very small bathroom, in deluxe queen, with toilet so close to walls that anyone over 5 ft would not be comfortable. Also no hooks in bathroom for towels or clothes. No parking or safe spot to unload; walking with luggage from structure was difficult and a deal breaker.

I booked the Hotel Victoria because it was close in pricing to a hotel we normally stay at, but I can't say I'll be returning any time soon. Upon first arrival, the staff hardly greeted us, and it seemed like we had to pry answers out of the front desk clerk. Aside from that, the room was small but functional. My biggest gripe, however, was that the only ice machine was in the basement of the hotel, which was fairly frightening at night. I understand the hotel is historic and there is only so much room for renovation, but as a young woman staying in a room alone, multiple trips to the basement didn't exactly feel safe, especially given the fact that I didn't see another person in the building until checkout the following day. The best thing about this hotel by far is the neighbourhood and the convenient pricing, but after the discomfort I felt during my first stay, I doubt I'll be back.
