"For a last minute Masters hotel, it did fine"
This hotel is quite run down, and in need of rehabilitation. In my room, the sink was cracked, the tub was chipped, and the shower controls damaged. The bed mattress was a tad worn as well, and the AC unit didn't seem to heat or cool to the stated temperature. At one point, the room was around 68 and cool, so I heated it up to 72. The unit ran for about […] 2 minutes before shutting off, ineffectively heating the room. I didn't expect much as this was a last minute rental, and its' proximity to downtown Aiken was nice. Took a chance. Worst place I have ever stayed. The place was torn up, run down.... loud noises and other "guests" yelling throughout the entire night. Didn't sleep at all due to the noise and chaos going outside my room door. Things finally settled down about 5 am, and I packed up/checked out a day early. (I had booked for two days) Couldn't get out […] of there fast enough. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location close to basic shopping"
IT was ok. The hotel could use some sprucing up if that is a term I can use but the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. IT was ok for a basic stay. The staff were very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Price is what you get"
Well to start off, for it being a cheap hotel, I guess it would be decent. I mean water worked fine for the faucets but low water pressure. None of the furniture was broken, but the overall look of the room wasn't as expected like the pictures I saw. Damages to the walls were unappealing. Pool didnt open til between 2-4 pm? And closed at 10? Why such […] a small window? I LOVE swimming but out of 3 days I didn't get a chance cause it was never open when I was available to. Very disappointing. Staff wasn't very talkative. I got more a conversation passing by another customer then I did the staff. And no one ever came into the room to change towels or do anything. Luckily I had my own. Anyways, I don't feel a need to continue this. Again this is definitely a hotel that is "worth it's price" but good for a low budget. Can't expect too much. Good luck to the rest if you choose to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Best Location for Masters Week"
since we stayed during Masters Week we paid at least two and half times more then what we should have paid for our stay. The room was non smoking but smelled as if there had been a recent smoker staying in the room. if i was the owner of the hotel i would be embarassed to say i owned it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Last Minute Selection Which Served Our Purpose"
My husband and I chose this motel at minute as we were attending The Masters. I came prepared with room spray and cleaning materials. The room seemed okay, it was a smoker, but when my husband went to take a shower that was the end of that room. The shower was broken. Management responded very quickly but the shower could not be repaired that night. […] We were given a choice of waiting til the next or switching to another room. We chose another room which ended up not being as equal to the first room. The TV did not work properly and there was less furniture as the sofa was a sofabed which was not as comfortable as in the first room. The walls were not as clean either but it served our purpose and the rate was okay. Although it was about twice as much as what we had paid at other Knights Inn but it was Masters' Week! "My stay @ your place"
The people at the front desk were as nice as any I have ever encountered but they were hard to understand with their lack of command of the English language. I knew the price of motels would be increased due to the Masters Golf Tournament so my cost was acceptable I thought. I searched on the internet for the best price. I was thinking I had a good […] deal with your motel, but I was not prepared for what I found. After we arrived It started to rain and the gutters did not control the rain on either the front or back of the motel making the motel entry more difficult. Evidently the motel has not been renovated in some time. The backs of two of the three chairs were broken, poor reception on half of the TV channels, the lights and the radio between the two beds were unplugged and the commode was not fastened to the floor. The carpet is worn if not worn out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Knights hotel -Aiken SC"
This was without exception the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in.I've traveled in 3rd world countries & they were better. I believe aside from the Masters week it's an hourly rent. The bathroom/shower was the worst I've ever been in. The owner's/Managers very inhosipital-never said anything except when asked for a restuarant recommendation said -check […] the procedure which were 20 miles away. I was also very leary about eating the breakfast buffet. Absolutly worst coffe ever & never evan recieved a Good Morning - Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

the hotel staff at check in were very nice, however it appeared that the room was no cleaned for several months. Dust around the tv and on the tv stand was so bad i could write my name in the dust. the corners of the room had cob webs and along the baseboards looked like they had not been cleaned / vaccumed in years !!! beds were hard, airconditioning […] however worked great. gutters were falling off the building. i complained to expedia and hope they take this hotel off the list. "The Knight's Inn in Aiken"
Location is central to town with nearby shopping. The room was comfortable but a large dark stain in the rug was a major detraction. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel could use some refurbishing. Although clean, there were things about the hotel that were older, e.g.; the carpet and tile in the bathroom. In addition, the breakfast selection was limited to juice, coffee, mini-donuts, cereal (3) and waffles.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for us"
I was a little worry after reading the last review, so I called to verify about the pool and breakfast. Everything turned out great. We had 2 rooms, it had fridge and microwave and TV was perfect. The front desks personnel were very friendly and easy to talk to. I have stayed in many hotels and motels and this place was affordable and left us a very […] positive experience. If we have soccer tournament there in Aiken again. We will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Golfers on the road."
For what we paid it was what we expected. The shower went from ok to very hot suddenly. Perhaps they should install temperature controls in the showers. It seemed when another room flushed a toilet or ran cold water we would get cooked. Overall, for an economy hotel, it served the purpose. The breakfast in the am was ok as well. The roll in bed was […] comfortable as well. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"6 or more shirtless people leaning on railing. Drinking & smoking 11pm."
06/29/14 kachilders Greensboro, North Carolina
Booked this one on Hotwire. Our family arrived about 1030 or 11pm on a Friday night after a 6 hour drive. We did not feel safe and had to leave immediately. There were at least 6 shirtless people leaning on the railings of the common area of the motel, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. The doors to 3 or 4 rooms were propped wide open. This was not during "Master's Week". We promptly left, called the front desk to tell them we would not be staying there, because it did not look safe. Their response was just "OK". We had to call around at 11pm to find another hotel to stay in. When we got a clerk to answer at another hotel, we told them Hotwire had the Knight's Inn rated as a 2-star hotel... they burst out in laughter! I wouldn't let my dog stay in this place. When we called Hotwire today, they telephoned the Knights Inn, and the owners have only agreed to refund half of our money. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LET THE DRUG ADDICTS KEEP THIS PLACE! Don't even think about staying here with your family. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. It may have cost us some money to let you know this, but it is our sincere hope that you will NEVER stay here!

My experience was great. I will recommend the hotel to all my family and friends. When, I return to SC I will stay at the hotel.

When in Aiken, SC or very near - this motel is clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Best of all, they do all of this without being greedy and unrealistic financially. I travel every week Monday - Friday and this is one of my favorite places of the cities we travel to.

Decent... Carpet needed to be cleaned but everything else seemed clean. If you have a fragrance allergy don't stay here!! They over sprayed a deodorizer in the room.

Needed a cheap room for The Masters. This was it. The staff was friendly and even let us cancel a room with no charge. The room was just OK. It was a place to sleep. We got a king room and I brought an air mattress to sleep on. Conidering most everything else was $200+ we got a "deal" at $80. On a non-Masters weekend I would not pay more than $30 for this place.
"Excellent Customer Service"
04/28/14 rena j Columbus, Georgia
My family stayed here during the Masters and we had a delightful time. The front desk clerk, Brandy, was a total professional! She helped us with our reservation over the phone a few months earlier and was just the best! We were excited to meet her and when we arrived she was at the desk and welcomed us with the most beautiful smile! She is a class act and truly made us feel as though she honesty wanted our stay to be enjoyable. She was there every time we came back to the hotel each morning and evening with a bright smile on her face. The Manager and his wife were nice as well. The maintenance lady's work attire was most inappropriate. Her jeans were painted on skin tight and her shirts were also too tight and too low cut. . She was unprofessional and annoying. If it wasn't for the excellent customer service provided by the front desk this trip could have been a disaster. I witnessed the maintenance lady up and running around day and night, all night... Her excessive high energy was concerning to my husband and myself. We would have preferred if she would have been in a uniform of some sort instead of clothes that were clearly way too small for her. She kept bending over inappropriately in front of our 18 year old son and we would have appreciated her not.
"You get what you pay for..."

Stayed for three nights. Had a need to be in town on personal business. Knights Inn was located very close to where I needed to be. The price was right and I was only sleeping there. The bed was comfortable, clean towels each day. Front desk staff was friendly. Carpet was spotted and did not feel clean. Tables and other furniture were in dis-repair. Shower and bathroom, while appeared to be clean was just dingy and worn. No extra plugs for electronics to recharge. The wi-fi, though "free" was constantly cutting out and in. Seriously, for the per night Rate I was not expecting a heck of a lot more, but some of the repairs (drawer handles that were falling off, loose toilet) could be taken care of without too much effort. In other words, it might my needs, but barely. I would not recommend to a friend without the caveats I have mentioned.
"The couple at the front desk were warm and welcoming..."

The couple at the front desk were warm and welcoming however the rooms are very tired and need a total remodel. We were only there for one night so it was fine but I would look for a more up to date property if I return to the area.

Stayed here for a few nights during the Masters golf tournament week. It was very cheap but I would have expected a working toilet and not to have towel hangers falling off of the walls. That being said the staff was very nice and helpful.
"Masters Golf Tournament"

The motel was clean and equipped with a small microwave and fridge. The employees and manager were very nice and accomodating. Althiough we paid over twice a much as normal because of it being Masters week, we felt the price was better than elsewhere. The continental breakfast was the same rolls and danises as other similar motels, they had a happy hour with wine and beer in the evening..
