"Beds were nice, but thats it."
The room was pretty nice, although the bathrooms were a little too small and almost all the sockets were loose. The bed was fantastic though, one of the best I've had at a hotel. However, when we first checked i, it wasn't that great of an experience. First off, the night clerk was quite obviously watching an adult film behind the counter. I have two […] daughters and I don't want them seeing that sort of thing. Second, the room we originally booked had a problem...the water in the bathroom would not shut off. When we went to request a new room (again being forced to view his dirty movie), he suggested that we "just ignore it until the morning" instead of getting us a new room. In fact, he seemed very put out when we insisted upon the new room anyway. Overall, I would still stay there again and I even recommended my brother to stay there. They had nice beds and they were bedbug free...just ignore the rude night guy and the chipped paint on the doors. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good cheap hotel"
Good hotel, service was fast. Only complaint is that the shower head was too low...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Breakfast was bad. Pool was closed. Property being renovated but still charging the same as comparable hotels in the area. Maybe in another year it will be okay. Fine for just a place to sleep and keep going.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Still working on some details"
The room was very clean and comfortable, but missing some basics, like a phone book, welcome kit, pen and paper, TV channel guide, and blow dryer. Apparently it was recently sold and the management is slowly refurbishing these conveniences. The continental breakfast had donuts, toast, Fruit Loops, corn flakes, milk, orange juice and coffee, sugar and […] Sweet & Low. Please, give me the yellow or blue sweeteners! Maybe some yogurt and fruit would be nice. Or waffles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for."
I was in town for a sporting event. I needed a cheap room and I got it. My first non-smoking room smelled very smokey so they let me change rooms. The motel is old. When I booked, I was led to believe that it was closer than it actually was to my event.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice enough staff. Could find comparable rates in same area I think .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"decent and simple"
Over all I was pleased with my stay. The location was within walking distance to Wal-Mart (very important, right?) As well as to other shopping outlets and food chains. Cheap, but worth it. I'm on a budget.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Let me start off by saying, I get that this is a cheap hotel. I don't expect brand new 60" flatscreen TVs. I don't expect a workout room or pool. I get that it's likely to be an older building. I am okay with it being underneath a flight path or beside a railroad track (both of which are the case here). But being cheap is no excuse for being filthy. […] And this place was. There were food stains in the minifridge, assorted stains on the bedsheets and towels, "residue" on the toilet seat, and the shower drain was so clogged running a shower resulted in water slowly filling the tub. The last of these was a safety issue (in addition to a hygiene one), as it made the shower floor extremely slippery to be ankle-deep in soapy water. Basically, I am never going to prepay for a room on Expedia ever again. I may use it to reserve the room, but I am not paying anything until I see the room. Had I not prepaid, I would have walked out on this place within two minutes of entering my room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No bugs & friendly staff, but that's it."

Total cleaning time is 30 seconds tops. No cleaning of the bathroom at all; only emptied the trash. I had to ask them to run a vacuum to get the carpet cleaned. The TV would go in and out of service; the internet was always buffering. Maintenance is so lax that they had a hairdryer bracket on the wall minus the hairdryer, but had a replacement hairdryer and bracket sitting on the shelf in the open closet. This was a non-smoking room, but it would draw smoke in from who knows where. Continental breakfast is one of the worst that I have seen.

This place is disgusting! I felt I was walking down the halls of a penitentiary when I looked for my room. It was just awful. The room was crumbling and falling apart, it was just an awful experience. Stay at your own risk!

This hotel seemed to be under or going through renovations, and they were not complete in the room we had. Our last night there we encountered a roach crawling on the wall. The sheets and towels were stained and the floors were very dirty.
My reviews are by large good and fair. This review is just fair. The rooms are decrepit, crawling with insects feeding on the filth. One look at the beds and I said "nope". One look at the other "guests" and I knew I had found a long term stay motel for drug addicts and prostitutes. DO NOT STAY at this hotel, unless your looking for a hooker and drugs. A lingering smell stayed with me for a while. I paid for the room but did not stay. I got another hotel. It was terrible. I did a little history search of the place out of curiosity and it has been closed by health dept before and the community sex offenders tend to flock there.
"Definite sketch factor...but cheap and fine for a night..."

I paid about $42 for one night using a coupon. Check-in was quick and courteous. Room was fairly clean, had a fridge, bathroom was OK. The towels did have brownish stains on them. Air conditioning worked fine. Ice machines were not working. Very convenient location on a main boulevard. Close to restaurants, stores, etc. Hotel has a computer with internet in the lobby. A very mediocre continental breakfast is served: cereal and toast and stale doughnuts... The hotel has issues, but it's not a flea pit. If you're not too discriminating, and you only need to stay for a night, it's OK...
"Worst place EVER!!!!"

Do NOT stay here!! I made the huge mistake of paying for 3 weeks all at once and the room was crazy dirty, the days room service cleaned it I never received clean sheets there were cigarette burns in my pillow case blood and other stains on my towels, went and bought my own. My cards stopped working on my door and went to the office who knows how many times to fix it. Horrible place if looking for a cheap place go across the street to federal square, it couldn't be any worse!

Listen closely: NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL. When checking in, it took the guy at the front desk 15 minutes to come out of the back office and he reeked of marijuana. He said he was just getting back from lunch (at 8pm at night) and proceeded to check us in. Besides the smell of mold and rotten food on the way to the room, here is a list of issues with our room: Cigarette butts on the floor, lipstick stains on the pillows, yellow semen stains on the sheets, cigarette burns through the "comforter", a missing light bulb in the floor lamp, and best of all, the bathroom washrags were crumpled up next to the sink and crusty....I am sure you can guess what caused the condition of this room. We left and walked across the street to the Radisson and they said they get walk in business all the time:) The Country Hearth Inn is not fit for human occupation.

This was absolutely my worst hotel experience ever. I had called for reservations for two nights and was told I was taken care of. When I got there it took the clerk 15 minutes to locate a room for us. When we got to the room it was gastly. Nasty. The bedspread did not even cover the bed. Obviously a queen spread from 1970 on a king bed (if you want to call it that). We sat at the end of the bed and the head of the bed raised 6 inches off the floor. The chair in the room looked like it had semen or some other gross something all over it. Would not have sat on that for anything! We asked for another room and was assigned a new room. This one was not much better. The spread did fit the bed but it was still from 1970. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the cord came off. One of the lights was broken from the wall and dangling. The tub was filty. By this time it was too late and we went to walmart to buy sheets, towels, and clorox wipes. We put our linens on and tried to sleep and immediately got up the next morning and left. The carpet was so dirty and stained we did not dare walk around the room without shoes on. This place is a nightmare.

Looks like the place went through a recent, partial remodel but still could use some work. The location is very convenient and the parking is great. The lobby looks new. The front desk help was mostly courteous, competent and sufficient. Both people (the person at check-in and the one at check-out) would have made a much better impression if they would have dressed like they were working- they just looked very unprofessional. The room was mostly clean but like the rest of the hotel lacked attention to detail. For example, there were shoe prints in the shower (my guess would be from the painter). The halls and rooms had been recently painted which was nice except that upon closer examination I found that there was paint on the shower, trim and sink. There was still an hole in the wall and repairs that had been made were visibly obvious. The pool was poor. Tiles were missing around the coping add it looked like it should have been painted prior to opening for the season. The hallways were dirty and in need of vacuuming. The A/C in the hall upstairs did not work but the old unit in the room worked just fine. The "Free Breakfast" was a joke. Selections were limited to toast, a jar of generic grape jelly, milk, orange "drink" (not juice), coffee and donuts- not even a piece of fruit. It was pitiful so I skipped it. When I went down at 7am to check out the breakfast there was loud, heavy metal music playing in the dining area (judging from the man half-asleep and the front desk I can only guess that this was his selection). It further added to the already poor impression. With some attention to detail, and if the ownership would stop skimping this could be a solid "3-Star" stay but instead it is barely a "2-Star."

I should have checked out right away. We ended up going down the road the next morning to La Quinta, which was wonderful. The Country Hearth Inn is a mess and it says it is under new management, but the new management needs to close the place and fix the problems and then open. The breakfast was a joke, coffee, juice and toast. The fitness center was closed and we never did find a way to get to the pool. Stay away from this place and go to the La Quinta.
