I would have liked to have a second chair in the room...so two people can work or look at something on the desk at the same time. This hotel was definitely a very nice hotel at an affordable price. The staff was helpful, the hotel was clean and quiet, and decorated in an "upscale" hotel style. The rooms were like studios - small kitchen area, large sectional, and a bed w/ a half room divider. The only issue is the bathroom is crazy small. Just a stand up shower and a toilet, and […] no place for you to stand in order to close the door. I was pleasantly surprised after my recent stay at this hotel. Our room was beautiful and clean. They offered an amazing hot breakfast. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely return. Staff was exetremely easy. Check In/Out procedure was fastest and least painful that I've ever experienced. Breakfast could have been a bit more inclusive as there were not as many hot cooked options that I would have liked. Yet, I'm very picky when it comes to food and especially breakfast. The hotel is well maintained. The front desk staff were awesome. The rooms are well kept & decorated. The breakfast is awesome. A couple of negatives to this property. The PTAC unit in my room was very noisy but I didn't complain about it as I checked in then went directly to bed & just lived with it for the night. The property sits up on a hill that […] is close to a major interstate. The interstate goes down the hill & the trucks make an incredible amount of noise coming down the hill. My advice is to ask the front desk to put you in a room that is on the opposite side from the interstate. Convenient on/off I-65. friendly staff. We had trouble with the power outlets and bathroom lights. By the end of the stay our door handle wasn't working. It was comfortable and clean though.

The room was very clean and even though we were right next to the elevator, we couldn't hear it. We did hear a group of kids that ran up and down the hall daily. It would have been nice to be on a floor with fewer kids since we had none with us. Lesson learned: Always call before you book a hotel to make sure the hotel isn't currently undergoing renovations. This hotel was renovating the bathrooms on our floor (3rd). The renovation work was only active from around 9 AM to 5 PM, so they didn't disturb our sleep at all. The only complaint I have about our room was our shower. I hope it was on […] the list to be renovated next because it was difficult to operate. Fingers crossed the bathrooms will now feature walk-in showers like the Hyatt Place in North San Antonio. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and varied. Even the renovation crew seemed friendly. The hotel is situated virtually on a mountaintop so you've got a view of the interstate if that's your thing (or the parking lot/wooded area if you're on the backside of the hotel). There's a Target directly across the street so you don't have to go far if you forget an essential or two. We'll stay there again....once the renovations are complete. Read more

We enjoyed our stay but found the sound proofing problematic. Our neighbors shower and toilet sounded like they were in our room. There were three of us in our room talking and did not feel we were being overly loud but the neighbors complained. Instead of calling our room, a man from housekeeping came up and knocked on our door. It was 10:15 at night […] and there was nothing official about him and I could not hear him through the door. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room needs updating but was clean and spacious except for the shower/bath area which was very small. There was a separate dressing area which made it easier to get dressed. Would definitely stay here again though.

Pros: helpful staff, very nice fitness room, great breakfast selection, easy access to interstate, close to restaurants and shopping. Cons: hotel undergoing renovation ,bed frame was not stable, tv on-demand movies did not work first day(but it was fixed the following day) Overall we had a good stay and will return!
