"Hot Price and Hot Room"
Great price but room uncomfortably hot. The day I was there it was 80 F outside and in the room with the small AC unit running full blast it was 84 F. It did not begin to cool off until around midnight and never got cooler than 75 F. Small annoying things, only one bar of soap for both bath and sink and no pen or paper anywhere in room. One good thing, […] they are able to accommodate over height vehicles (6'9") in their garage. Most hotels can't. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for families"
Century Plaza was a great choice! The staff were friendly and the location was awesome. There are a few things i hope the hotel can change though... it is evident the hotel needs repairs (holes in the walls, chips in the hallway). Also, we came for the Sun Run and asked for late check out, but were denied. This put us in a difficult circumstance because […] we had our young daughter with us and were hoping to change after the run (just asked for 1 hour more!). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The closeness to the Law Courts was wonderful. The view to English Bay was beautiful. The staff were very courteous, and the restaurant food was delicious. Thank you. The full kitchen was a real surprise. The room was very clean, but I think the inside door just needed a bit of paint. Overall, the stay was wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location and a Very Helpful Staff!"
What a helpful staff! This was my first time to Vancouver BC and staying Century Plaza Hotel turned out to be a great choice for my wife and I. Prior to our arrival I notified the hotel that to expect a package for me and to please hold it. Upon checking in my package was waiting for me no problem.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and clean. Close to everything"
Good service, friendly staff, second time staying there. Highly recommendGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and convenient hotel"
The stay was very good and the hotel is in close proximity (walking distance) to Robson Street, Granville Islands, Sky Train station and Bus stations. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. At the time of the check-in they offered us an upgrade from studio suite to single bedroom suite for a nominal increase in the price per night. The suite […] has a nice balcony with city view and that was the best part of the room. The hotel is well maintained and service is good. The other advantage is having a kitchenette. Overall our stay was good and we enjoyed staying at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"old hotel with a new look"
Great location and I enjoyed the spa while I was there. The restaurant and lobby are all newly redone in the last couple of years and the staff were pleasant. Great view from the higher floors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very close to everything"
Everything was good except a few things. I think our room was too close with the other room's door it was noise when people closed the door. The sink was leaking in bathroom and you would be taking a cold shower in morning. I would suggest people take shower at night if you stay there. The hotel is very close to an small hospital and busy street but […] it is not too bad. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent location, friendly staff, great price"
Stayed with my family of 4. Kids loved the pool. Nice views from the 29th floor. We were lucky to get a room with a great view of the downtown. Located centrally. So, we could take the public transportation or just walk to most parts of the city. Recommend it!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent place to stay, great location."
This hotel exceeded our expectations on many levels. The lobby is beautiful and inviting, the rooms classy, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've experienced at a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to easily walk to all the attractions we came to see. We highly recommend and will be booking our stay there on future […] visits. Hotel staff greeted me immediately upon pulling in. Check in was a breeze. The room was awesome! Terrific views from every window. Kitchen facility was convenient. Large living area and separate bedroom. Bed was cozy. Room was clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was really nice to stay there. Staff was helpful. Nice locationGenuine Expedia guest review
This place was just fantastic. The view from the 25th floor was special - dinner at the hotel restaurant was wonderful - the room was spacious and comfortable - the hotel location couldn't have been better. This will most definitely be on our radar should we venture to Vancouver again!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a great time in Vancouver BC. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Clean, close to everthing and service was great. We walked everywhere. You can certainly stay in a nicer place, but for the price......a great value. Will stay their again on on next stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Left very unhappy"
When we were checking out, they said we didn't pay for parking when we paid in cash when we were checking in. The manager calls the hotelier who took my parking fee and asks him. he says he would have had the $43 over in his cashier.. what a stupid and horrible excuse. "Well-Priced Downtown Hotel"
Far enough away from Hastings St to be safe, and with spectacular views of downtown. Hotel and rooms were older but clean and we'll maintained. Definite great value with half-off promo on hotels.com. Didn't use the Spa, but seemed like its prices were high. Room service food was good and reasonably priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, Great Value"
Great location in downtown. Close to shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. A few blocks from the ferry bus to Granville Island, walking distance to fantastic retail stores. My husband and I walked to the waterfront which may seem far on a map but it's actually not. The hotel bed was very hard. If not for all the pillows Idk how I would have gotten […] through 4 nights. Big flat screen tv, comfy couch, and spacious room. Our closet smelled like urine, other than that everything else was fine. We had a corner room so there was a nice distance between us and our neighbor. Even though there was a hospital next door we did not hear sirens throughout the night. Lively nightlife and feels safe enough to walk around at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel in downtown"
I especially liked to have a little kitchen in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Had a great weekend in Vancouver. Booked a 1 bedroom king suite on-line for a fair price and was disappointed at check-in to hear they were overbooked and "upgrading" us to a deluxe king room. We didn't have the kids with us so weren't concerned about not having a seperate bedroom/living room and they offered to comp the parking at $17.00 due to not […] having the room we booked available. Perfect! Rob at the front desk was FANTASTIC! He was friendly and polite and had lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat/drink. All of the staff in this hotel was amazing! I enjoyed my stay. Hotel is central to most places I visited. Restaurant and coffee shop are very good. Bed was very comfortable and my room was good. "Basic but Good"
I got a great nightly rate at this downtown hotel. The neighborhood was safe and had a lot of good shops. It was walking distance (about 1.3 miles) to Stanley Park. The room was not super fancy but had a nice kitchenette and was basic but clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasent hotel in the center of the city"
We spent three nights at the hotel. It is located within easy walking distance to many features in Vancouver. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The parking fee was very reasonable for a city of the size. The only negative is that the facility is beginning to show age. Management needs to spend money to update.Genuine Expedia guest review
Big room, great view and balcony...very dated room, also very loud in room from hallway and other rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pros: - Close to all the to-go downtown places. - Equipped kitchen for extended stays. - Clean rooms. - Free Wi-Fi. - Not very noisy (couldn't hear neighboring rooms through walls like other hotels). Cons: - Cloudy water in all taps (kitchen and bathroom) so you have to drink the expensive water bottles in the fridge unless you brought your own. - […] Weird heating system. Couldn't get stabilized at a temperature so either it was too hot or too cold. Kept having to switch between turning on the heat and the A/C to be comfortable. - Very hard mattresses, ended up with back and neck pain. - Rickety elevators. One time while going down in the elevator, it made loud scratchy noises all the way down (as if it was about to give in and plummet down the shaft!) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decrepit, outdated room and poor customer service"
It has become apparent from reading other reviews and viewing the listing photos that there are 2 different classes of room in this hotel. There are apparently updated, modern rooms which are shown in the photos and many reviewers obviously were lucky enough to experience. Then there are the 1970's era rooms with ratty, stained furniture, outdated appliances, […] and moldy bathrooms. We had the misfortune of staying in one of the latter (#709). Upon arriving at our room, we discovered we had been given 2 double beds instead of the king bed we requested when making the reservation. I immediately called the front desk and requested that we be moved to a king room, in accordance with our original booking, but was told (quite rudely) by the gentleman at the front desk that there were no other rooms available and that by booking from Expedia, we are only assured of a room - the room type is not guaranteed. Looking more closely we noticed the couch fabric was frayed and ratty in several places and had numerous dark stains. The tiny kitchenette had a white & brown McClary stove that looked like it was from the early 1970s. The grout between the pink hued shower tile had visible mold and mildew, and the lighting bar over the mirror had a layer of rust. It is clear that whoever classified this hotel as 3.5 stars was only given access to the newly refurbished rooms, as our room did not warrant so much as 1.5 stars. FYI: I've submitted a more detailed review with photos on Trip Advisor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bets Location in Vancouver for Downtown"
Excellent service and location. We did not eat in the hotel except the last day we had coffee and come pastry at the coffee shop. There was one cashier and a long line. They could have added another cashier or expedite the time each patron is attended. The hotel seems like very clean. The decoration is modern and pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We reserved for king bed and we ended up getting two beds. When I call the front desk. They blame it on hotel.com, the lady at the front desk has no customer service skills whatsoever. It was the most disappointing experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Downtown Experience"
4 start hotel at a budget price. I got 30th floor and fantastic view of downtown. Hardware in hotel room much better (got an actual shower sliding door than a cheap shower curtain) and temperature of room when I first walked in was comfortable. I had a foot massage machine in my room, which was nice after walking all day for business. Would definitely […] want to stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to nightlife"
I loved Vancouver and Century Plaza Hotel & Spa was near everything we wanted to see. It was possible to walk to the convention center and nightlige was great just two blocks away. They also allow you in and out of the parking lot if you pay a small daily rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I booked the room through Expedia. Called the next day to talk with the Hotel. Explained we were coming fro a romantic weekend up from the states and requested a room on one of their upper levels(they have 30 floors). Was told that they'd try but couldn't guarantee. Got there and was given 8th floor with a view of the parking lot. Asked to change but […] was denied. Mentioned it again at check out and was told that I "should've booked the hotel through them directly i/o using Expedia. Room itsef was not like the pics. Some upgrades but overall was older. The walls are like paper and can hear everything in hall and next door. Bed was comfortable. Will not stay there again. Too many better options. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very pleased that not only did the Front Desk person exceed my expectations by putting me on a very high floor, but also gave me a suite upgrade! The view from the high floors here are stupendous (the bay, boats and rest of the tip of the island)! Nice cafe in the hotel; only small picky downsides: the parking lot is a bit difficult and not very attractive […] and some of the room furnishings are a bit dated. Added bonus; a coffee pot with room for four cups and bring your own coffee. Can't be beat! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
