This stop was on the way to somewhere else so did not expect much and we knew it wasn't a super nice hotel. We stayed at 3 other hotels at various areas (one of which was a HoJo express) and were much happier with them. I was tired & just wanted a comfortable clean room to rest before completing a long drive. The TV had 2 remotes with no instructions for use. When I called the desk for direction the clerk failed to answer after more than 25 rings. I had to redress & go to the desk. There I found her on a personal call on her cell. This was the worst hotel you could ever stay at. The staff was rude. A non smoking room was given to us, but there were cigarette burn in the sheets. This place was nasty. I wouldn't let my dog sleep there. I ate the loss and left.

This hotel has dirty old furnishings. If you like to jump then their bed is for you. At least counter height off of the floor. There is coffee in the room but is hard to make with no coffee pot. Bathroom had mildew on walls aroung tub and what looked like blood spots on the walls. Got one hand towel and two thin bath towels for two people, no washcloths. […] Went down to the breakfast and found a dirty area with just sweet rolls and bagels. Got a cup of coffee out of the holder and when I put cream in it there were pieces of old dried coffee floating in my cup. Tried again and got the same thing. Obvious they had not been cleaned in quite some time. I can understand that as when we checked in I had to holler for someone to come out of the living quarters to check us in. The young lady came out with her child on her hip as she was obviously back there with the child. No bell or anything to call. On checkout the next morning the same thing. No professionalism at all. Waste of money as we got no sleep listening to the trucks come and go all night from the truckstop in front of the hotel. Read more

This place was pretty depressing. Not only is it located next to a loud truck stop but the room itself was dirty - sheets clearly weren't washed - the drapes didn't fit the windows and there were stains on the walls. The tv didn't work either. It's the kind of place you'd use to film a scary movie.

It was what I expected. A family owned, older, hotel. Quiet and hospitable, however, on the first night I heard a pounding on the door, with someone saying maintance! It was after !!pm and I was asleep. On top of that there was no chain on the security lock. It scared me and I called the front desk. While the room itself was clean, the overall impression was gloomy. The shower rod collapsed, two bath towels, and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. It's been ages since I stayed in a room where you entered directly from the parking lot. Would not recommend this.

Even though we had brought a dog with us and had her in the room, the room itself did smell very bad from a dogs odor. The room wasn't all that clean and the towels were not plentiful enough for two people. Even though we had a good price on the room, it still was not worth the price. I also came upon the maid (who I didn't know it was a maid at the […] time) who was exiting the room after I had been out for awhile was rude. I asked who she was when I returned back from business and she actually asked what I wanted when I asked about her. I had 2 laptop computers in that room. Very poor attitude from the staff. Our room had a toilet leak, and ac that had to be unplugged to turn off and on or we borrowed pliers from the office to regulate the temperature and the water faucet was almost impossilble to turn on or off. All problems were reported to the office. I wanted an inexpensive place to spend one night and this hotel did fit the ticket. The location is good but it's obvious that the minimum maintenance has been done there for some time. It's also very noisey from the trafic (it's across the street from a major Truck Stop). There were a lot of feature I did like, ref/micro, iron and board, coffee maker […] but the carpet had not been changed since the 80's and it showed. The Hotel is right across from a Truck stop. It was difficult to get the hotel key to work. The room smelled of smoke. There was black stuff that came out of the shower drain. I felt that the bedding was not washed (my spouse and I travel all the time, as we are motorcyclists) because it did not have a fresh smell and they were wrinkled. Motel is rather old, however our room was recently remodeled and very nice. Recommend staying on the back side of the motel due to truck traffic. There is a Truck Stop accross the street. We would stay their again if opportunity arises. Price was right.
