I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Hotel Lincoln. The room was small but comfortable, warm and inviting. Every staff member I met, from the front desk clerks to the maid were friendly and helpful. I had two meals in the hotel restaurant; Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast. Both were delicious and perfectly prepared and the service was impeccable. […] I look forward to my next stay at Hotel Lincoln. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I come into the city from Indiana at least once a week. If I need to stay over this is my first choice. "Great Hotel, Location and Amenities"
The hotel was beautiful and had a great location. The coffee shop, restaurant and rooftop bar were all very nice and a great addition to a very nice hotel. Rooms were nice and staff was friendly; we will stay here again if or when we visit Chicago again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Hotel Lincoln Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback about Hotel Lincoln! We look forward to your next stay!
The bedding, especially the pillows are wonderful. It is very easy to get to many attractions by walking out the front door. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are small, request a room with two beds for more space. The rooftop bar is nice as is the breakfast bar/cafe off the lobby. "Perfect location, amazing food in Lincoln Park."
The location across from Lincoln Park Zoo's south end, and on the edge of Old Town is perfect for strolling, shopping and dining in this gorgeous neighborhood, just north of downtown Chicago. The rooftop bar offers amazing views of the lakefront and city, as did our room. Rooms are small and have a European feel; not overly luxurious but clean and comfortable. "Visiting son after conference in Chicago"
Excellent stay, very comfortable and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. One young man in particular who took our bags to our room was wonderful and impressive. He remembered my name the entire stay. "Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Lincoln Park"
I chose this hotel because it was near the Chicago History Museum. It's not a big corporate hotel. It's smaller. More personal. More comfortable. It has character. It's the kind of place where you get to know the staff. They greet you by name. It felt like home within minutes after arriving.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hotel Lincoln Dear Bob, Thank you so much for your kind review about Hotel Lincoln. We love our staff too and are so happy you're part of our family. We look forward to your next visit!
The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave me a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room was comfortable except for the bedroom bathroom. The shower curtain did not keep the water in the shower area. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Chicago.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved this Place"
Pros: Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Don't miss the great little coffee shop on first floor - delicious/healthy breakfasts and (not so healthy!) delicious pastries. Good business area with computers & free printers for boarding passes. Quiet, clean, very nicely decorated rooms. Lots of charm in lobby & rooms. Can't beat the view of […] Lincoln Park and the Lake (we were on the eighth floor - it is worth the upgrade to Lake View Room). We enjoyed sitting in the lobby and "People-watching." Some locals on their morning walks bring their dogs into the lobby to get a biscuit from the drawers in front of the front desk for that purpose. Other locals jogging would stop in for a free ice water in the lobby. Just a nice friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Would have liked to stay longer. Cons: Space in rooms was tight. Don't stay here if you like big rooms. But the room was so nice, we didn't mind at all. We did not see a hotel airport shuttle. No free hotel breakfast, but the coffee shop was wonderful! "Good location, great staff, enjoyed it there"
The Hotel Lincoln is a great hotel, pet-friendly, and situated on bus lines to make it easy to get around (the train station is within walking distance). The lobby decor is retro and appealing, and the staff was wonderful. I had a small suite, very comfortable. Free WiFi available. A great little coffee shop is in the lobby for a quick breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay"
The room was wonderful and the staff very friendly. I will definitely be back. The only negative I would have to report would be the price of parking. Outrageous! But it's probably inline with most other city properties.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff made the stay perfect. They were pleasant, helpful, courteous, and cordial. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The neighborhood is simply charming and in walking distance to shops, restaurants, the lake and parks. Just a perfect get away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Blues Club Pad"
Hotel Lincoln is our favorite place to stay when we visit the Chicago blues scene. We were caught during the recent tornados and they kindly let us stay in our room, as there was no place to go. Very friendly and informed staff. Great restaurants in walking distance and several great destinations as well. The room was fairly small, and my only "ask" […] is that they would provide bath robes. "Great place to stay in Lincoln Park area"
Great location. Hip decor. Fantastic rooftop bar with amazing views and extremely well-made cocktails. Very good bartender. Restauarant is also very good. Rooms are slightly small, and the elevator is a bit slow. Other than that, great place and great value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved this hotel! Eclectic and fun. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the lobby coffee shop and rooftop bar. Fun to walk to surrounding shops and restaurants. Lincoln Park across the street, easy parking. A bit out of the tourist trap area. Just fun!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cramped with no counter space."
The room was so cramped, you practically had to walk sideways to get in. We arrived late after a day of visiting with our new grand-baby and went straight to bed. The noise from next door was deafening so called the front desk. The issue was dealt with in short order and I thanked the staff the next morning. Trying to order breakfast in the room was […] a complicated ordeal. 3 restaurants in the hotel and no menu in the room? Ridiculous! Finally placed an order and when it arrived there is NOWHERE to set a tray. The food was good but the price sky high. There is NO counter space in the bathroom. The view of Lincoln Park is nice and would stay again if I had an event in the area but would not be my first choice. I will not recommend Hotel Lincoln to anyone. "Rooftop Bar Closed"
The only reason i am giving this hotel a 4 in any category is because the rooftop bar outdoor portion was closed. We understood no service, but we couldn't even carry our beverages out there. Not really a rooftop bar... Other than that, the place is terrific. The decor is cute, the place is immaculate, and the staff is super friendly. The desk was […] helpful with finding our way and the doormen very responsive. The location is also awesome - very short walk to Old Town and to the Lincoln Park Zoo. The Trains are a couple block walk, but not a show stopper. Be prepared though, that the rooms are cozy small. Comfortable for 2 and we had 2 friends visit, but the rooms are on the small side. With 4 people in the room, 3 will be sitting on the bed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"lovely hip boutique hotel"
I was there solo, to visit some friends and it was a perfect hotel for that. My room was very small, but adequate and had a lovely park/lake view. The bathroom was also really, really small. It is evident that it was redesigned recently, but the vanity was practically non existent, so I kept fearing things falling into the toilet. It seemed that a little […] more space could have been designed in, or at least some hooks to hang stuff on. I loved the coffee shop and late night bar. Overall, a grey place to stay and I will definitely go back next time I am in Chicago. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Unique Hotel Across from Lincoln Park"
This unique hotel grabs you when you walk in the door to see the front desk fashioned from drawer fronts. From the mason jar soap dispensers in the lobby restroom to the paint by number paintings throughout the building, the experience continues. The fabulous rooftop bar provides beautiful inside and outside views of the park and Lake Michigan. The […] guest rooms continue the theme with a large lithograph of Lincoln on cloth behind the bed and minimalist furnishings. The only negative remark would concern the size of the rooms. They are very small, but adequate for a couple. But, when visiting a city as magical as Chicago, little time is spent in a hotel room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Room was nothing like we saw online. Room was very small. We cancelled our three day reservation after one night and moved to another hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed the hotel, my room, the restaurants, but was especially impressed with the staff who were all most helpful, very cheerful and just good to have around. Even if things in the hotel had not been so good (and they were great), the cheerfulness and helpfulness of the staff would have made the stay well remembered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Loved this hotel!"
We loved everything about this place. The highlights... staff was so awesome and helpful. Decor was fun and rooms were super comfy. Location couldn't be better. We liked it so much that we tried to book an extra night but they were sold out the next night, maybe due to the Chicago marathon or maybe just because it's an awesome place! I highly recommend […] this place to anyone visiting Chicago. Bonus: the Lincoln Park Zoo is right across the street, a fun zoo with free admission. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel close to the Park"
Very good experience and will go again ................nice Hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location with friendly, helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For over $200 a night you would think that they would have amenities like a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed was like sleeping on a brick, no box spring, just a hard mattress on a wooden plank. This just nearly the quality that I expected for the price that I paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything I needed close by"
Loved the hotel; across the street from Lincoln Park and Lincoln Park Zoo. Rooms a little on the small size but very functional. Kept hitting leg on bed frame the first couple of days, painful. Rooftop lounge was fun, drinks very strong. Had to request a refrigerator and microwave that were delivered promptly. Asked for repair of tv, done promptly and […] with a free movie for my inconvenience. Housekeeper turned in gold bracelet I lost in room. They accommodated my request to extend my stay though I had to change rooms. Everything I needed close by including public transportation for a 5 minute ride to my son's apartment, and even a Farmers Market on Saturday and Wednesday across from hotel. Wonderful neighborhood. I walked around even in the dark without fear as there was a lot of pedestrian traffic. I'd stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Away from the tourists, but great location."
I stayed at the Lincoln for one night in mid-September, 2013. The stay was short because my son (who lives in Chicago) and I were taking a direct flight abroad the next day out of O'Hare. I had visited a few times before and was ready to get off of Michigan Avenue and into a smaller, neighborhood hotel. I was very pleased with the Lincoln. It is in […] a great area, near the lake and the zoo. The staff and quality of service were excellent and the food in both the downstairs restaurant and the roof bar (what incredible views!!) was delicious and unique. The room was small, but fine for one person. It would be a bit tight for a couple for several days. My only complaint was that my room needed a good dusting--more housekeeping supervision is in order. Other than that, the room was quite clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really Nice Location and People"
Hip, fun and not your mega-brand hotel. Part of Joie de Vivre rewards system. Quirky, mod, not a large room, but comfy king bed with window opening with views of Lincoln Park. Great farmer's market on Saturdays. Restaurants include Elaine's coffee shop with GREAT latte, Perennial Virant focusing on farm to table creative meals, and a roof top hot spot […] with small plates, good vibes and wonderful views of Chicago. Nice "Lather" scented amenities in bath. Will definitely return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"First Class Service without any pretention"
This is one of the nicest hotels for the money I've been to in Chicago. (For reference, I visit Chi-Town about 2-3 times per year.) The hotel is a short walk from tons of eateries in Old Town, is across the street from Lincoln Park (& it's associated 2-day-a-week farmers market), a convenient $5-10 taxi ride from the Mag Mile, and has an AWESOME rooftop […] bar. My wife and I found the staff to be exceptional as they bent over backwards to meet our every request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
