Spacious suites. Great location, right in the centre of the city business community. Friendly staff and willing to help, thanks Alex and Kestda.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a great stay. Like others say, the elevators are slow but the rooms are spacious and have great views. I found a stray toenail in the carpet in my room which was unwelcoming but other than that, the room, hotel staff, and location were excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location for Independence Day"
PROS: 1)The hotel was nice and the staff were very accommodating. 2)The complimentary breakfast was very good and well stocked. 3)Guests were provided with wristbands to help the hotel staff manage the holiday foot traffic and ensure the security of the guests. CONS: 1)The laundry facilities were inefficient and needed servicing. I think the volume […] of people in the hotel at the time overwhelmed them as the hotel was also out of laundry soap and I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to get enough quarters to run the machines. 2) I did not know that I had to book a room that faced the fireworks directly with the hotel itself. I must have misunderstood the descriptions of the room views available. I hope this helps others looking for a good place to stay for July 4 festivities in Philly. Overall I had a great experience here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice staff. Everybody was extremely friendly. Only downside was that hotel did not have parking. Parking was $30/day in private lot next door. This seemed to be due to hotel's location in the city. Hotel does have a very nice complimentary breakfast (the kind that others would charge 20/pp for). I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for a quick getaway"
THe room was great for me and my daughter to spend a night in Center City Philadelphia. Good location on the Parkway. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. A good choice especially if you need to stay a few days and don't want to be crowded in a small standrd room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very satisfied customer"
My family and I stayed in Philly for a few days to do some sightseeing. This hotel is within walking distance of The Franklin Institute and City Hall but would be harder to walk to Independence Hall with little ones. The front desk called a shuttle service for us to do a double decker bus tour. The breakfast at TGIFridays was nice each day...just really […] crowded. I thought the size of our room was well worth the cost, we had more then enough room for the five of us. We also enjoyed the nice balcony. This hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. "central location, good view, large rooms"
We would stay here again. The 1 bedroom room was clean, well laid out and big enough for a family of 4 to be comfortable in. The place is not perfect though - the elevators were slow, the building is old for the neighborhood, and the air conditioner was loud.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice than I thought"
the front desk people were very nice. Breakfast was ok, room was huge. Great view of downtown Phi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the entire room reeked of smoke even though it was a "non-smoking" room. We called to complain and they offered to "febreze" the room, as if this would help the situation. I brought up the smell to the front desk again on Sunday morning and the woman was very short with me and told me I should have called and they would have "febrezed".Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"wonderful stay for family with little kids"
Superb. Hotel staff was so accommodating and friendly. The microwave, fridge and sink area in the living room was great for the kids. Breakfast was very crowded but food was good- many choices. Far walk from historical attractions though. Franklin Institute was very close.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to many sights"
Good location, room was spacious with having a seating room and a separate bedroom. The look of the room was a little dated but it was clean and the hotel staff was very helpful - they even got us checked in early at 11am. Buffet breakfast was great and it was great having it included in the room price.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Pricey but nice"
Good service, nice large room. It had a nice size balcony with a great view . Having a smoking room was great and it smelt good for being a smoking room. A little more of a walking distance from attractions and restaurants than I thought but bus service was close. Great having an on site restaurant Overall very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a View"
Wow! We arrived after dark and the view from our 18th floor room was spectacular. The room was lovely--as are all Embassy Suites in which we have stayed. The bed was very, very comfortable. Location, location, location. We were just a block away from a transport line to historic Philly and other major attractions that was free to seniors. We were within […] walking distance of some fabulous restaurants. All and all, it couldn't have been a better stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, just needs a good cleaning!"
This hotel is in a great location. The valet attendant was very courteous and so were the check in employees. Our room was the perfect set up because our daughter was on the pull-out couch and we were able to be in our own room to talk and watch tv without disturbing her. There was a free cocktail party in the lobby with free drinks and snacks. The […] snacks were pretty lame, but the free drinks were nice! Also, we took advantage of the free breakfast at the attached TGIFridays. It was great - hot and cold food, plus an omelette station. Here are my complaints...the room could use a good cleaning and maybe an update on the furniture. The couch had a few stains on it that made me uncomfortable. We also found a hair on the comforter of our bed. Also, the air conditioner was so loud!!! I didn't go to bed until about two am because every time the AC went off, it would boom and hiss, startling me! Plus, you can't control the AC from the bedroom, only the living room so once my daughter was sleeping, I couldn't go back out there to adjust it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Elevators are crowded. Needs vending machines on more floors. Also, one ice machine for the whole building is not enough. Great location!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and views"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites in Philly. During the day, we used the Phlash tourist transportation bus and the stops were nearby, and we also walked a fair amount to center center destinations.. The managers reception is always nice, and the breakfast at the adjacent TGIFridays offers lots of options. I had to stand in line for the […] custom made omelet, but it was excellent and worth the few minutes. The views from the upper floors are breath-taking (we were on the 22nd floor), and the ability to spread out over two rooms is one of the hallmarks that keeps me returning to Embassy Suites. Our living room area was spacious and included a fold out couch, TV, table and chairs, kitchenette, and walk-out balcony. Our bedroom had two comfortable beds, another TV, and a small closet. The rooms had a few signs of age, but overall were great. The only negative we experienced relates to the elevator. During peak times, we had to wait 5 minutes or more for an elevator. On our last day, our elevator actually got stuck between floors. Thankfully the technicians arrived very quickly and we were able to be on our way within a matter of 5 minutes or so. Hotel is in a great location in the city. Breakfast included was a bargain for the family. Very good overall value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected"
We have stayed at Embassy Suites in other cities and always had a good experience, however, this experience left a lot to be desired. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but that's where the satisfaction ended. The "convenience" store on site was nothing more than 4 sodas, a few frozen meals, and some packs of aspirin. They had no soap for the […] laundry the entire 4 days we were there and had to go buy some at a store. And there are NO vending machines in the whole hotel, which was disappointing. One day, our room wasn't even serviced and when it was serviced, we would have to beg for towels because they wouldn't even leave one. The free breakfast was set up very poorly and it was all we could do was to grab a muffin and squish out of the crowd. The elevators were terrible and slow. I had to take the stairs most of the time just for not having to wait 8 minutes for the lift. The balcony was nice, but no table or chairs on it, which was odd considering it was a big enough balcony to comfortably fit furniture. I will say the hotel staff, especially the valets, were very friendly. It's an old hotel and could use some updates. But, the location was good and there were always cabs out front if you wanted one. Next time, I will pick a different hotel in Philly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Philadelphia Center City Thank your providing a rating for the Embassy Suites Center City, I am sorry we did not exceed your expectations. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any aggravation or inconvenience experienced with the elevators during your visit and my sincerest apologies for the convenience store; we had to relocate all refrigerator items behind the front desk due to failed equipment, my apologies if it felt empty. Again I apologize for any aggravation or inconvenience experienced with our breakfast, we have signage throughout the hotel to help guests plan there day so they can avoid the breakfast rush when the hotel is fully committed. I will share your commentary with the restaurant and our Housekeeping teams in order to help improve service. "Good but no free Wifi/Internet"
Hotel was in good location. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were showing their age, fans for bathroom & air conditioning were extremely loud. Paying almost $300 a night and not getting complementary wifi Internet connection was pretty poor, and would be a considetation in choosing whether to stay at Hilton chain hotels. Breakfast was average. […] Nice terrace, but don't leave your food unattended unless you wish to replicate a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good but a little dated"
The room was oddly shaped and the décor was a bit dated. It was clean and the location is very convenient especially to the art museum. The convention center is a 10 minute walk and the Mutter museum is a 15 minute walk. The elevator bank and room configurations are a bit confusing and off putting but the happy hour on weekedays from 5:30 to 6:30 has […] snacks and free beer, I like free beer. The parking was a bit steep compared to other nearby lots (40$/night and then an 8$ tax) parking tax... really? the state and city hotel taxes are also pretty high (not that the hotel controls that but just be aware that you are going to pay 30 -40$ a night in additional tax above and beyond the booking price) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great service, perfect location"
Booked hotel through Expedia based on location, price and visitor recs, and it didn't disppoint. We had a mixup with rooms after we checked in, and front desk immediately rectified it and compensated with free premium wifi for our stay. Room was huge, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was fine (though when they say it […] ends at 9:30, they mean it -- whisked everything away in five minutes). The location is great -- 15 min walk to Univ of Penn, 10 mins to museums and historic district. Great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend as a budget option. The elevators are kind of a pain at key times (breakfast, dinner) but otherwise high marks. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Awesome location, but needs updating."
An awesome location, right in the heart of all the major attractions of Philadelphia. The suite was perfect. every in-room amenity a family could ask for. All this hotel was lacking was a coat of paint. "Convenienent to Philadelphia Sites"
Great hotel close to tourist sites. We were able to walk to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum, and to Center City. Bus routes stopped a block from the hotel for easy mobility around the city. Happy hour was good with great selection of drinks along with tasty happy hour food, all included in the price of the hotel. We were not pleased with […] the attached TGI Friday's where the breakfast buffet was served each morning. We actually ended up going to a local place for breakfast one morning. The food was mediocre and the service was disappointing. We had dinner there one night due to rain, and the meal service was similarly lacking in attention. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay. "Nice clean rooms"
Overall the hotel itself was nice and clean. Not even close to enough elevators when the hotel is full. Waited over 15 minutes when checking out just for the elevator. Also called the day before to make sure we had a crib reserved and desk said no problem. Called again later at night since no crib and they said they would bring one right up. Its is […] now 8pm and still no crib so I called again to hear that they didn't have any more. We had a 5 month old right near her bedtime so we were very upset. "Close to all Center City attractions"
It's in a very nice section of the city- near all attractions. However- be prepared for VERY long waits for the elevator. It took me over 20 min to get downstairs at breakfast. Also- parking is expensive so look elsewhere for reasonable rates. The rooms could use significant updating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Mid-town, easy access, good price for suites"
Mid-town location, easy access from town, not too far from interstates, good price for suites - given the location. It is a tower, has only 3 elevators - during our stay one of the elevators was out of service some of the time - so we waited longer than we were comfortable at times. And the breakfast service can get very busy and congested - the space […] for this function is very small. And it is my opinion that NO hotel should be charging for in-room wi-fi anymore - I was disappointed in that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
