Very pleased with this hotel overall. Location, price, hot breakfast bar & the room were all great. The size of the room was a pleasant surprise. It's a converted apartment that is now a 2 room suite with a mini kitchen, dining room, balcony & vanity. Great location for a weekend with the girls or guys - happy hour downstairs with free adult beverages […] & a Friday's with rooftop terrace adjoins the hotel. "GREAT HOTEL BUT NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING"
Stayed at your Center City hotel overnight to attend an Eagles Football game and had a great time. However, after paying $175.00 for one night's stay on a Thursday night, having to pay an extra $48.00 to park was ridiculous. Additionally, the hotel room was pretty decent except for the hair on the bathroom ceiling and base of toilet not to mention the […] NUMEROUS stains on the couch (had to place towels down just to sit on the couch)!!! I understand the hotel is old and needs to be updated but paying that much for one night and I can't even sit on the couch is just nasty!!! I have been to your Embassy Suites locations in Secacus and Parsippany, New Jersey and NEVER had these types of problems. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location, great roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had occasion to stay at the Embassy Suites on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, its a lovely quaint hotel converted from what was an apartment building. The rooms are well appointed and our view from the 17th floor spectacular. Our location was well positioned for us to enjoy fantastic sites and landmarks on the Parkway which runs from the Art Museum […] to City Hall, the seat of Government. The Franklin Institute, Free Library, Rodin Museum, Logan Circle, and the Architecturally-Rich Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul . . . countless fine restaurants and plenty of excellent night spots to drift away with the evening . . . "2 real rooms, amazing for families"
the suites are real - the bedroom is fully separate from the living area, so great for traveling families! full kitchenette. overall very convenient. would have loved a duvet cover.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great price (so it seemed) on hotels.com.. Got there after the room was booked& paid for .. Left with a $48 vallet charge ( no Big deal, knew that was coming ) and a mystery $88 charge that I was never told about or Explained why it was happening. Good rooms, slow elevators , good staff, convienient location, has a Tgi Fridays downstairs . Would stay […] here again very disappointed on the price. It was a $210 room I booked but ended up paying $298.. For that price I could have stayed at the four seasons across the road. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Accommodates Family of Four Nicely"
If a family of 4 or more, this is a good choice. The pull out couch was provided in the connected living room in the suite we stayed at. It was great to have the kitchenette. The King sized bed in the bedroom was very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Needed a place to stay near the Franklin Institute"
This hotel is in need of an update. The rooms were very large with small balconies with some city views. The bedroom and bath were adequate but the exterior room and kitchenette were on the shabby side. The carpeting needed replaced or was rather dirty for the most part. It was an non-smoking room but the smell of smoke was very apparent. The valet […] parking was extremely pricy even by most Philadelphia standards. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but it could be better"
I like this hotel and probably will stay there if I visited Philadelphia again. I would have given it 5 stars rating if they had - More variety in the breakfast menu. - Wi-Fi service in the suite - less expensive Parking ( $48 for 24hrs!!) - Selvierwares in the kitchenGenuine Expedia guest review
great location & hotel amenities. only negative was the slow elevators.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location and price are the reasons to stay here"
This hotel's location and price will keep me coming back. The two rooms with kitchenette are also much bigger than you would get in a typical hotel. Another major plus was the evening reception (which occurs daily) with good free snacks and free drinks (even alcoholic). The staff was friendly. The room was clean enough, though not brand new, updated […] décor. The only annoying things: long wait for elevators on Saturday morning, long wait for my valeted car, long wait in line at front desk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Center City Embassy Suites"
Staff is extremely respectful! Loved the Valet guys, just thought that it cost too much to park/night in addition to room fee. I was charged an additional $40/night of stay. Other than that, hotel very clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Guest Beware!!!"
My husband and our 3 children just stayed at this hotel overnight to see a concert in the area. There is no free Wifi in the rooms and the "cook to order" breakfast is a joke!! Worst part of our trip was that we had personal belongings stolen from our room by a guest that was apparently let in our room by some mistake while we were out. We were not […] told anyone was let in our room and when we made the report we ran into all kinds of issues. The General Manager was never told about the theft. We asked for a refund given that our personal property was stolen, which we had to fight and threaten to bring the police back to the hotel with us before we could get. We finally got the call that they recovered our belongings from another guest's room. If you are looking for security, go somewhere else!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our room was spacious - more like an apartment than a hotel room. We enjoyed our free breakfast at TGIFridays and the manager's reception each evening. It was nice to be able to get on and off the tour bus by our hotel and that there were a few museums within walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was the second time we stayed here and the price was fair and the hotel was perfect for our stay. There is no pool and the parking is pricey but I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Conveniently located but dingy"
Embassy Suites is one of my favorite chains to stay in. However, this location needs work. The valet was extremely distracted and unorganized which contributed to long waits for our vehicle. The room smelled of mildew and had stains in the carpeting and on the furniture. The walls and comforters had unidentifiable stains and watermarks. Since I was […] staying for one night after a late concert, I stripped the bed and slept in my clothes. The lobby restroom requires a key card for entry which was rather inconvenient when waiting for our car after checkout. The stewards were not too friendly when giving me access. This stay was a bad stain in my memory of an otherwise wonderful girls trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Philadelphia Center City Thank you for your feedback and for choosing the Embassy Suites Center City hotel. Our valet team is known for being one of the best in the Center City area, I’m sorry if they seemed unorganized, which led to a wait for your vehicle, we will monitor the flow of traffic to ensure we are not causing unnecessary wait time. We’re sorry you encountered housekeeping problems. Unclean rooms are not typical at our hotel, and we appreciate that you brought this to our attention so we could help make it right. We have discussed this with our staff, and will make every effort to be sure our rooms meet the highest housekeeping standards. Being located in the city, we want to ensure that our restrooms are for guests only; I hope our security measures did not inconvenience you. I hope that this anomaly will not detour you from using Hilton Hotels and Resorts in the future please give us a second chance to offer a much better first impression.
I love this hotel the kids didnt want to leave. only problem i had was i had to take the steps after waiting 30 minutes on a elevator on check out timeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to art & museum venues"
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The property and staff were both excellent. It was great to find a city hotel that had room for our unconventional family! This hotel is closer to the museums rather than the historical district. We had a car which made this fact irrelevant for us; but if you're flying into Philly, take this into consideration.Genuine Expedia guest review
I am leaving this review because I was pleasantly surprised. First the breakfast was better than most. Mainly because it was not the usual fare. Second the two queen bed hotel room was spacious and had a large walk in shower (no tub). The rate was very competitive which made it that much nicer. Don't get me wrong, this is not a five star hotel, but […] it is way better than most three and four stars. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location and good amenities"
Had a 2 night stay for family getaway. Great hotel for location and price. Happy hour and breakfast are terrific. Only complaint is the wait for an elevator. "Philadelphia at the last minute"
This is a slightly older hotel and the rooms and common areas could use some updates, but overall this was a great experience. Very close (walking distance) to all the sites we wanted to see (City Hall, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin Museum, Rodin Museum, fountains, etc.) Was fairly easy to get to, parked across the street in public parking […] lot ($40 per night), and walked everywhere. "Safe, Clean , Good Service & Conveniently Located"
We enjoyed our visit and would return again to this location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Started out on a sour note. They have a late check in, 4pm. We arrived at 4:15 and was told our room would be ready in 15 minutes. I asked to be called when it was ready. They never called or came out to the lobby to get us, where several other guests were waiting. After about an hour I went to check and they acted like they weren't suppose to call […] me until the guy who took my number stepped up. I then asked the Valet for my bags and he said he was right behind with the bags. Well, an hour later we finally got our bags and were able to shower and start our evening plans. The 4am multiple fire alarms didn't help much either. Also, the rate for parking I was told when I made my reservation was $30/night. It's actually $40/night plus tax, making it about $49/night. The breakfast is in a TGIF and is set up poorly with avg continental breakfast food. Not my best Embassy Suites stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
overall pleasant experience. conveniently located to many things and the breakfast buffet was tasty. the rooms were much larger than expected and comfortable. only complaint is the elevators sometimes took a while to come, especially during busy periods of the day (breakfast, check-in/check-out).Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was quite large for the price; a kitchen with sink/'fridge and microwave, a separate bedroom and living area with 2 large screen TVs was a great surprise for our 2 young 'uns. The biggest surprise was the TGIF restaurant within this hotel: We do not regularly eat at this chain because of food choice/quality, but the flank steaks my kids ordered […] were fantastic! The free breakfast buffet is there also and it was very good, if a little crowded. Between that and the great location we would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Smoking room and I'm not a smoker. No ice or drinks available at hotel. Up to 10 minute waits for elevator or longer. Would not suggest this hotel unless upgrades occur.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Philadelphia Center City Thank you for providing constructive feedback regarding the Embassy Suites Center City Hotel. I’m sorry you were given a smoking room, I hope that you notified someone on property so we could resolve the issue. I’m sorry if the wait for the elevators was longer than you expected, The hotel does notify our guests about the potential for extended wait-times for the elevators and at breakfast, an experience which is more common when the hotel is at its maximum occupancy; again I apologize you were inconvenienced. Please accept my apology if you were not informed of the convenient store next to the front desk and that ice machines are located on the second floor. Our hope is if you are back in the Philadelphia area, you would give us another opportunity.

"Great location & spacious accommodation"
I have stayed at this hotel several times. The location is superb for Philadelphia touring, especially with young children, due to its proximity to the Franklin Institute and much more along those lines. "Great Location for Independence Day"
PROS: 1)The hotel was nice and the staff were very accommodating. 2)The complimentary breakfast was very good and well stocked. 3)Guests were provided with wristbands to help the hotel staff manage the holiday foot traffic and ensure the security of the guests. CONS: 1)The laundry facilities were inefficient and needed servicing. I think the volume […] of people in the hotel at the time overwhelmed them as the hotel was also out of laundry soap and I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to get enough quarters to run the machines. 2) I did not know that I had to book a room that faced the fireworks directly with the hotel itself. I must have misunderstood the descriptions of the room views available. I hope this helps others looking for a good place to stay for July 4 festivities in Philly. Overall I had a great experience here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice staff. Everybody was extremely friendly. Only downside was that hotel did not have parking. Parking was $30/day in private lot next door. This seemed to be due to hotel's location in the city. Hotel does have a very nice complimentary breakfast (the kind that others would charge 20/pp for). I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very satisfied customer"
My family and I stayed in Philly for a few days to do some sightseeing. This hotel is within walking distance of The Franklin Institute and City Hall but would be harder to walk to Independence Hall with little ones. The front desk called a shuttle service for us to do a double decker bus tour. The breakfast at TGIFridays was nice each day...just really […] crowded. I thought the size of our room was well worth the cost, we had more then enough room for the five of us. We also enjoyed the nice balcony. This hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. "central location, good view, large rooms"
We would stay here again. The 1 bedroom room was clean, well laid out and big enough for a family of 4 to be comfortable in. The place is not perfect though - the elevators were slow, the building is old for the neighborhood, and the air conditioner was loud.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

the front desk people were very nice. Breakfast was ok, room was huge. Great view of downtown Phi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the entire room reeked of smoke even though it was a "non-smoking" room. We called to complain and they offered to "febreze" the room, as if this would help the situation. Wow! We arrived after dark and the view from our 18th floor room was spectacular. The room was lovely--as are all Embassy Suites in which we have stayed. The bed was very, very comfortable. "Great hotel, just needs a good cleaning!"
This hotel is in a great location. The valet attendant was very courteous and so were the check in employees. Our room was the perfect set up because our daughter was on the pull-out couch and we were able to be in our own room to talk and watch tv without disturbing her. There was a free cocktail party in the lobby with free drinks and snacks. The […] snacks were pretty lame, but the free drinks were nice! Also, we took advantage of the free breakfast at the attached TGIFridays. It was great - hot and cold food, plus an omelette station. Here are my complaints...the room could use a good cleaning and maybe an update on the furniture. The couch had a few stains on it that made me uncomfortable. We also found a hair on the comforter of our bed. Also, the air conditioner was so loud!!! I didn't go to bed until about two am because every time the AC went off, it would boom and hiss, startling me! Plus, you can't control the AC from the bedroom, only the living room so once my daughter was sleeping, I couldn't go back out there to adjust it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
