The only issue was finding a dead roach in the bathroom after coming back from a conference. The front desk agents were apologetic, attentive and resolved the issue immediately. We had a wonderful time here. TGI Friday restaurant was located in the same building which was great since it was snowing outside. We tried the appetizers and drinks, and they were delicious. The hotel is close to all attractions and you can walk about 15 minutes to Liberty Bell or catch a cab. We took the big tour bus to see all the history and saw […] the the Rocky statue. the hotel was fantastic, full of pleasant surprises. the breakfast was amazing with a fantastic hot bar and made to order omelet bar!! The room was comfortable and clean and even without a city view room my view was lovely off of the balcony in my suite.

Great location and friendly service. I had booked a king bed, but instead was given a suite with two double beds because all the rooms with king beds had been taken. This was disappointing but not a huge problem. Other than that, it was great. The fitness room is quite nice as well.

We stayed in January, but even given that it wasn't peak season, the price was an absolute bargain for the location and amount of space you get. The suite was huge - about 700 square feet, with a kitchen area, living room area, and bedroom. There was even a porch. It's located very close to museums on Ben Franklin Parkway, and is generally convenient to many destinations. The only drawbacks were relatively long waits for the three elevators (the building is 26 stories tall), and the somewhat loud HVAC unit, which seemed to stay on most of the time and blow a lot of air without really changing the temperature much. I was also surprised that the bed did not have a proper winter comforter, but rather just sheets. While the quality of the hotel would therefore merit a 4/5 rating, I'm bumping it up to 5/5 due to the price, service, and location. Read more

I stay at this hotel with some frequency (maybe 20 times/year) for a single night. On the last three times, I was twice given a room on the 4th floor. Unlike the other rooms that I have had, these tend to be smaller, and are showing some signs of wear and tear, In both rooms the bedcovers were itchy, and had to be removed from the bed for comfort.. […] There is just a noticable difference beteen the rooms on that floor and those on the other floors. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The only complaint was that we had to turn the heat off at night because it was very loud. Also, the breakfast in the morning was insane. It was so crowded. No tables. Had to wait for plates and mugs and it was a cramped area. Would have been nicer to have it more open, but the food was great!!! […] Once we had a table and our food it was all good from there, but it was like a half hour process. The location was awesome. Overall, we enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room was very clean and large and the service was friendly. My two issues were the elevators and breakfast. At times, the elevators came fairly quickly, there were other times when we waited for more than 10 minutes. Granted this occurred during prime breakfast and checkout time, but I can't say I've ever […] waited that long for an elevator. Also, on the 2nd day of our stay, we arrived for breakfast just before 9:30 (getting there so late because of the elevator being delayed) and the doors to TGI FRidays were locked. There were maybe 50 people waiting to get in or to get on an elevator so it was very chaotic. Hotel is in a great location and very safe neighborhood. Lots of surround restaurants and very convenient to explore Philadelphia. One of the drawing points to the hotel was the free breakfast-don't bother. The breakfast is awful (a free for all buffet in TGIF). Go out for breakfast

I booked this hotel under my name and was having 3 other guests arrive before me. When they checked in, they gave my name and were checked in with no problems. when I went to check in 2 hours later, they gave me a hard time b/c someone else had already checked into my reservation. When I gave my ID and explained that I had booked the hotel for 4 people […] they continued to give me a hard time b/c they claimed that they wouldn't allow someone to check into the room with their name also being on the reservation. It took 20 minutes to get this all straighted out. When we went to the front desk to ask for directions, one of the workers saw that I had a smart phone and told me that I would be able to look up directions on my phone. Now I understand that the hotel was busy due to the holiday weekend, and the hotel was beautiful, but the service was AWFUL!! There should be no reason that anyone should be treated like that- especially in the service industry! Read more

We were not given pillows and a blanket for the sofa sleeper. It took 2 hours for the staff to deliver them. We had to call the front desk 3 times. The front desk argued with us about our room number. The suite phone number showed at the front desk as the room next door to us. I finally convinced the clerk that I knew which room I was in. Staff was awesome. Room was pretty nice. Found someone else's trash (1 small piece) on the counter, and a cup lid on the floor under the bed. Coffee pot didn't work properly. I think the valet parking should be included in the price of the room. All that aside, I would most like stay there again if I need to go back to Philadelphia.
