Apart Hotel right ON the beach. Big rooms very well equipped, with full kitchen and nice furniture. We aware ocean front is different than ocean view, but if you get ocean view close to beach you are at quite beach front as well. Other rooms are more far away from beach view. Breakfast is good enough, continental style. Nice stay!

We met the manager and she was very kind. The best thing of this hotel is that you have the beach right there and it's a very quiet beach (not close to a public beach so you don't see a lot of people around). Breakfast was very good too.

There are much better ocean-front hotels for the money. No restaurant or anything else (shopping, etc ) close by. Old building, had a major renovation, but doors are rusted and should have been replaced. Entry cards don't work, so you get a key.

If you are looking for a hotel that is right on a very private beach, has a heated outdoor pool, has a laundry room and a full kitchen and a continental breakfast included this is your place. My boyfriend and I spent 5 days in a suite and loved it. There are a few things that are a little out of date. The TVs have seen better days. However the view from our balcony,the wonderful staff, and being only steps from the beach made up for any of it. Spend the money for a suite, it is well worth it.

First impression was that the hotel needed some TLC. The location on the ocean was wonderful. The balcony was tiny with plastic chairs but had a beautiful view of the ocean. There is a $20 charge per visit for any visitor to park which for us was an inconvenience because my son and family live in West Boca and would have visited more often except for this charge (we did contact the owner and he/she did lower the charge to $10 per visit but would not offer any other option) Overall, if you are not looking for a five-star hotel on the ocean this would suffice. 12 Channels on TV doesn't qualify as "premium cable". Ads say HBO but it's not included. Ads say King size beds AND Murphy beds but our room had a dilapidated sofa bed. Sand everywhere on patio and walkways. Over priced and under served. We were disappointed.

Wonderful location and beach.....very very run down, no way to really cook, which is the point of a condo..Loved the staff, they make do with what they have...the owners do not put one nickel back into the building. 6 floors and a very very iffy elevator. If you are looking for a quiet beach foot steps away this is the place for you. The pool area was quiet and well kept. The beach is beautiful. The room was adequate. Do note that while there is a copy maker, there was no coffee or even coffee filters. If you're looking for a spacious suite right on the beach with basic kichen amenities to cook your own meals then this is a good option. You'll need a car to get around to restaurants, shopping and groceries. Although there is daily cleaning service, don't expect a hotel with room service.

When they tell you your room is one of the recently redecorated rooms and the curtain rod holding a dark velvet drape is 1/2 way out of the wall and the window itself is in the corner of the room and the desk clerk has to come up and set the thermostat because it is located in the room next door.......you know you got troubles!

I really couldn't complain about anything except that we were only able to enjoy this beautiful location for less than 15 hours. I booked a single Saturday night , as we flew into FLL a day before our pre-booked week at a resort in nearby Weston. I'd never been to Hillsboro Beach before and was just taking a chance when I booked this place online a […] few days prior. I read good reviews, and just wanted to be close to the ocean without having to stay at a dump in Ft.Laud, and without paying a fortune since we wouldn't check-in until after dark. Well, we couldn't have been closer to the ocean unless we camped on the beach. The room was spacious, comfortable & tidy with a full kitchen/dining area that would've come in handy if we were there longer. The room lacked a sofa, but the comfy king bed sufficed. The woman who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The pool looked inviting, but was not heated. So we walked about 25' to the private beach and just lounged in the chairs provided and enjoyed the surf. This would be a great location for a wedding. The place is hidden away in an intimate (breathtaking) setting. You'd need a car to get anywhere, but it's not a far drive to Ft. Laud or Boca if you're looking for things to do. I was disappointed by the overall experience. It was quiet and comfortable, and the front desk staff is friendly. But the entire place is in a state of disrepair. The pool is not heated, hardly any tv channels, no hot tub, no spa, no and not clean. My room was filled with long thick dark hair - someone else's! Amenities - none. If you're not looking […] for luxury, don't care about ambience, and can turn a blind eye to scuffed walls, chipped paint, shoddy renovation jobs and overall tackiness you might like it. I feel like I could have done better and should have not taken the chance. No restaurants or shops within walking distance either, so if hauling groceries and/or driving out for dinner every night is your thing, you might not mind. No spa, no hot tub, no beautiful lobby.... shame. One more thing - the music playing in the parking lot drove me crazy (it was exactly what I was trying to escape from - top 40) and the funky smell of their cleaning products and housekeeping carts was almost unbearable. The smell lingers. I would love to see this place undergo much needed renovations and infused with a bit of a "cool factor", while maintaining the tranquility. The view from the balcony of the ocean front room was just too beautiful, and the rooms are furnished with relatively new furniture. The room is at the back of the hotel totally removed from the million dollar beach view. It would be sooo much nicer to be able to enjoy your coffee and danish by the pool, or under the gorgeous open air lanai with the ocean just steps away. Or, why not allow people to take a small plate of food up to their rooms where they can enjoy breakfast from their ocean view balcony. Maybe the hotel could move the breakfast room to one of the rooms on the first floor that is adjacent to the outdoor lanai, where they could monitor people's food consumption while allowing them to eat their food in the tropical paradise.
