The staff were courteous and helpful. I left some clothes in the room and they were honest to contact me about my personal items. I thought that was kind and sweet. The area and location was safe. Room was clean and the quality of the place for the price of stay was more than reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Easy to find, but right on the highway going through Eureka. However, the noise wasn't bothersome at all at night. Liked the fact that there were 2 chairs to sit in so one of us didn't have to sit on the bed. Towels need to be upgraded--very thin.

Too much highway traffic. Noise from large truck passing by all night. The manager was kind of rude. Ask a question about what to see for local sights. Say's there all the books to look at . Not really talkative. Would stay someplace else next time. Hard beds.

Stayed the night. All was GOOD except that the Motel is tricky to get to if you're headed north; otherwise it's highway friendly. The neighborhood seems a bit edgy, but not inducing fear. Dave at the desk was friendly and informative - he recommended the Somoan Cookhouse, a local mainstay for dinner. Clean & comfy.

The main thing I can say is bring earplugs!! This is on Highway 101 into Eureka right on an intersection. The noise never stops!! Foam earplugs made it possible to sleep. Will be staying here again, it's a good deal for the money (reasonable). Lot of traffic noise but goes away after 10:30-11:00 PM.At least they have a adequate cont--breakfast and coffee is OK. Need to put some decaf out in the rooms. Very small pillows, need at least four if you want to set up in bed. I see lots of opportunity for improvements at this […] facility but they are under staffed and it shows,, dirty windows (inside and out), grounds needs more attention and more but we'll same that for another time. Overall not a bed experience. Was allowed to checkin at 10am (V. Rare) as the room was ready and we were there very early after a long drive from So. Cal. Room was ok, clean and fairly comfortable. We recently decided to try the Rodeway Inn in Eureka over our usual stay at the Holiday Express in Fortuna. Our choice of the Rodeway was based on Tripadvisor.com ratings and the fact that the Rodeway’s more central location in the town of Eureka was more conducive to our needs. We were willing to ‘overlook’ that the Rodeway, as compared to the Holiday […] Express, has no swimming pool or spa and the Rodeway charges an extra $10 per person, over three. We also found that the continental breakfast at the Rodeway is much more ‘Spartan’, as compared to the Express. Other than that, we found the Rodeway to be quite comfortable. The 8’ foot sofa was very nice to sit on; however our $10 third person was mostly unable to get a ‘comfortable’ sleep. The Rodeway room and parking lot were quite clean, as compared to many places in Eureka. We enjoyed the Subway $5 footlongs less than a block west of the Rodeway. We would recommend the Rodeway for those who are no more than two and wish a clean, quiet and secure nights’ rest. The Holiday Express does not allow 24 hour cancellations on online rates, as does the Rodeway. The Express is 15 miles south of Eureka; however, the many basic amenities are far greater including two queen beds and no charge for a third person. Read more

Room was clean. staff was friendly. Location was close to food and entertainment. Only this is thermostat was very confusing; Set for 68 and it stopped heating when it hit 61. Hat to set to 77 to get 68!

After trying to check into the Red Lion with my paperwork and then directed across the street, I found the service to be speedy and enjoyed my stay. TV a bit old but it worked fine. For the price, hard to believe they also serviced a continental breakfast. Even arranged to stop the rain so it didn't spoil my suede jacket.

The service is most attentive. When the doorkey was inadvertently cut after 2 (of 3) days, the manager rectified the situation IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. We've stayed here 10+ times. The property is always well-maintained.
