Hotel stay was great. Friendly staff, nice clean comfy room and bed, close to everything as it's downtown, and its very affordable! Will stay here again! Dont mind negative reviews, people want a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price! Yeah it's old and it's in the entertainment district so its going to be a little outdated and noisy at times. So what. Its worth the $55/night I paid!

"Great Hotel on Granville St."
This hotel was perfect for my overnight trip to Vancouver. Right in the middle of Granville Island and the great shopping on Granville St at Pacific Centre Mall. The staff was amazing and even let me keep my luggage while I went shopping. (We went on foot)

"Great hotel for a great price"
The Ramada was a great hotel. The rooms were a bit small, but it wasn't different than any other hotel I've stayed at near a downtown area and we couldn't beat the price.The only thing I would have liked in the rooms is if they'd had a small fridge. The neighborhood was eclectic which could be good or bad depending on who you are. From what I heard, that's just how that part of Granville is. However, it was also near a number of really cool neighborhoods and some really great restaurants. My stay was for business and the hotel was less than a mile from the office so it was very convenient for me and I would definitely stay here again.

Although the hotel was clean, it was very dated and old. The room was so small two people couldn't pass each other on the same side of the bed at once. Online photos and description were misleading. First disappointment using hotels.com. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I know this is a Ramada and had appropriate expectations of that level hotel. This is the worst Ramada I have ever seen. Old, small and smelly. I checked in and went to my room. It was a mix of a place one would expect to have bed bugs or worse. Either way, I did not stay. I checked out at 11:30 at night to find a place where I could sleep. It was not going to be there.

Staff was great, but hotel was not what I expected, it was not what was shown on internet, building needs a lot of repairs, flooring on 2nd floor buckled when you walked on it, main light switch needs to be replaced in room 114 before it shorts out and there is a fire.

Rooms are redone and even though the building is old are good value. The staff however is not well trained for problems. Adjacent bar was celebrating their closing and some fool set off the fire alarm at 5 am. Confused patrons in lobby and nary an apology from staff. There were other similar lapses that suggest the staff could use some training in customer service. Neighborhood ok but close to many areas of interest.

"Ramada Inn on Granville in Vancouver BC"
The manager Mahaela, was more than efficient, welcoming and professional. So friendly and helpful. We wanted to find Robson Street and Stanley Park. We were a five block distance from both. We requested a room with one queen bed. The room was small, but in new condition and spotlessly clean. My compliments to Mahaela, the manager.

"Nice room, funky hotel, sneaky valet charge."
The room was pretty nice, but overall the hotel had kind of a funky theme to it. The only thing that I am disapointed about is that when I asked about parking they told me they'd go ahead and valet park it for me, but when I went to check out it cost me $25. I will admit that I did sign accepting the charge, but the charge was never vocalized and they rushed me through the paperwork. Overall it's a lesson learned on my part not to sign something without reading it thoroughly, but it still felt like they did it was very underhanded manner.

"Dated, smells, loud, rude clerk"
By the time we made it to the hotel after a terrible day of flying it was about 5:00am our time. So to say we were exhausted and looking forward to a comfortable room would have been an understatement. The hotel is smack dab next door to a bar that at 2:00am was still going strong. We check in and when I nicely ask if there is bottled water in the room the clerk responds our water is perfectly fine. Whatever. The hotel is just old and not in a good way. It has not been updated maybe ever and it shows. The room was the size of a postage stamp. The king bed was old but comfortable. Lighting was terrible. The whole place has a dingy quality about it. The bathroom was ok. Carpets were not well vacuumed but overall the room was a passable level of cleanliness. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Would not recommend.

"Good location to downtown and False Creek"
Our stay at the Ramada Vancouver Downtown was very pleasant. We had booked a Queen size bed but, in order to be in a quiet area of the hotel, we could only get a room with two doubles for our first night. However, the staff moved our luggage to a new room the next day, which was a room in another part of the hotel and it had a king sized bed! This room was also very quiet, which we really appreciated. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

"Great service!"
I wasn't sure what to expect when I got such a good price for this hotel in Downtown Vancouver, but the whole visit turned out far better than I expected. When we arrived late on a Saturday night, the only two rooms left were on the 1st and 2nd floors, respectively. The hotel is in a prime partying area, so the noise level is high on weekends on the lower floors. We were staying for nine nights, so Brandy at the front desk found us rooms on the top floor starting the next day when most of the other guests were checking out, upgraded us to suites for the rest of our stay, and gave us complimentary breakfast coupons as an apology for the rooms. They also gave us each a little welcome bag of goodies when we checked in. The next day we had to go to work all day and the staff moved all of our stuff out of the first room and into the new rooms by the time we had arrived back from work. They even provided a safe near the front desk for our more valuable items so we wouldn't have to worry about them being moved while we were away. The entire time we stayed, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly - very accommodating. Sarah at the front desk helped me with some UPS package difficulties and was very gracious. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and cozy - if a bit small. I'm definitely glad that we were able to have the suites for the majority of our stay. When we were checking out, Sarah gave us a little bag of goodies for the road and wished us a safe drive. Overall this hotel is great value for the price and location - the staff and the service are some of the best I've encountered and I stay at a LOT of hotels. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.

Hotel was nice enough. It is an old building so you have the smells that go along with that but other than the smell and the fact that it was in the middle of downtown (lots of street noise) it was clean. Our stay was pleasant enough.

"My take on the Ramada 1221"
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, made the stay pleasant. The location is good. The rooms are fairly small and the whole hotel is not new. But if you are looking for a central hotel that you can sleep in and have access to downtown or waterfront, it's a good deal.

The elevator smelled like urine and the rooms and corridors are very small. It's an old hotel and it shows in the design. Good price for downtown but had there been room at my regular hotel (which is much nicer and same price) I would have stayed there. I wouldn't stay there again if I can avoid it.

"Convenient location."
Location is conducive to walking all over Vancouver including Yaletown and the casino. Able to catch the Aquabus to other areas. Basically a good place to sleep and base activities. If you plan to spend your time in the hotel, it is not all that comfortable.

"Good spot for Vancouver"
This hotel is in a good central spot within Vancouver. I was on business and needed to be within the downtown area. There are many places to eat close by; if you are traveling with small children (i have some), there are a few businesses down the street which may not be the best to walk by, but overall the quality and surrounding area was fine (a good value for the money). They also had a parking lot close by which cost $20/day (15 plus the tax) which was very convenient (most downtown hotels would cost much more). Overall, i would stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

"Nice location for downtown attractions"
The room was small but clean. The housekeeping staff was very helpful. Parking is difficult to find and in a cramped lot next to the hotel. Great location for downtown shopping and nightlife.

"Central location, very helpful staff"
We stayed at this hotel a couple of days ago after our cruise. The staff was very helpful and held onto our bags since we arrived before our room was ready. They were very helpful with advice for restaurants and how to get around town. The room was very spacious, but since we had 5 people, we had to get a larger room. The hallways are a bit dingy and then location is a bit noisy, but the accommodations themselves were very comfortable and clean. It's hard to find a hotel centrally located that isn't in a noisy area of town.

"Okay stay."
First of all, before you stay in this hotel, be aware that it is next door to a night club, so I hope you don't plan on sleeping! Second, someone left their very large sounding dog in their room that night, so all I could hear was a loud barking every time a full grown adult would run full speed down the hallway, yelling loudly. Then, the front desk attendant asks for our car keys, so that the valet can take our car to the underground parking. This was a relief as I was worried about leaving it in the open parking lot next to the hotel. However, upon leaving for dinner and coming back hours later, it was still in the side parking lot. Woke up the next morning, it had never been moved at all. So disappointing.

"Ramada on Granville Review"
Booked the room on trivago and the booking showed I would be getting a queen bed. When arrived I was told I'd be receiving two double beds instead. I explain to the front desk that it was my boyfriends and I valentine's day. They then upgraded us to a king bed but it was on the second floor. The room was extremely small. Had a terrible view and was right next door to a night club.so it was extremely loud. When arriving in the room there was no hand soap or shower soap. The only thing I did enjoy about the experiance at the ramada on granville was the valet of my car. And how when I checked in they parked it for me and when I left it was waiting for me in the parking lot.

Rooms are dated, bathroom needs a major renovation- Room 416. Bed was comfortable... Other guests were smoking weed in their room a few doors from our room. Not enjoyable dealing with that smell while you're trying to sleep.

"Party guests"
This is more like a back packers than a hotel. There was lots of noise and shouting and banging through out the night (both nights we stayed) and it wasn't even a weekend. The rooms are well presented and the staff polite and efficient, however the clientele leave much to be desired. The street facing rooms are very noisy but perhaps if you get the internal rooms at the end of the corridor it will be ok.

"loud place to stay if you try getting sleep"
loud rude and got no sleep and was moved to different room still got no sleep. loud plumbing drain made noise all night . all we got was a sorry about this . called front desk both nights , still nothing
