"Great for short-term stay. Great staff"
I enjoy staying here because of the location and the service. Front desk staff is great!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would Stay Here Again"
We were visiting UA and needed a place to stay 2 nights. Our room was clean and spacious, with 2 queen beds and a small loveseat and desk separated from the beds by small half walls. The room also had a microwave and fridge which was nice for cooling beverages for our return trip home. It was further from UA than many of the other hotels, but still […] a quick drive to campus. As others have noted, having a Walmart next door was also convenient (cheap college apparel). The only negative was that the parking lot had a lot of dirt from construction (?) and at night there were a lot of work trucks, so we couldn't always park close to our room. Got a room and it was non smoking, or so I thought. Got in the room and it was nothing but a foul stench of smoke and nastiness. The condition of everything in the room except the TV was subpar. I guess that's what I get for a cheap room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the convenience of the hotel's location and the friendliness of the hotel staff. Would definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Exactly what we wanted"
This is your typical roadside motel, and was exactly what we were looking for. The guy at the front desk was terrific. We were there for one night on our roadtrip through the south. There are a lot of the usual chain restaurants around and there's a Walmart next door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Ideal location was the only positive.Locked down lobby when we got there. Didn't feel like a safe neighborhood. Funky smell in the room. Sticky carpets. Horrible, threadbare, scratchy, blankets. Dirt and muck on bathroom floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Definite college hotel"
This is a hotel that is visibly located in a college town. When we checked in, the evening staff was rude and the young man was less than friendly. The room was yucky and needs to be renovated. I was feeling pretty yucky about the whole place but the next morning at breakfast, the young man at the desk and the young lady working at the breakfast bar […] were absolutely wonderful! Those two young people made the hotel rating jump from a 2 to a 4! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Get what you pay for"
Stayed here while on a trip back to Louisiana from Virginia and got to the hotel around midnight. First and foremost it is an outdoor hotel (no hallways all doors are facing outside). I'm not a big fan of that especially late at night. The air conditioner in the room was loud. The floor was quite dirty and my socks were no longer white after walking […] across the floor. The room itself was dingy and dark. However for $65/night so I guess you get what you pay for. I will say that the front desk staff the next morning was very friendly and we even got to crack a few LSU vs Alabama jokes at each other. Overall I would not stay here again for $65/night I would go to one of the other hotels in the area for a little bit more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice for a short stay"
Everything was great for a weekend stay. Only bad thing I can say is the room was a little dark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel and the location was great"
I really enjoyed the location and the ease of access. The room was clean and comfortable. When I went to check in the lady was very nice and informative because I was unfamiliar with the area. WalMart was next door so if I needed something I did not have to go venturing out to find what I needed and get in a mess with traffic. I will be staying there […] in the future. "A good place to stop by overnight while travelling"
Clean rooms and friendly service. Breakfast was good but coffee was watered down. Fitness center was clean and well maintained. Comfortable stay and would definitely recommend people who are visiting or travelling through Tuscaloosa, AL.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and convenient"
We arrived late and left early. The motel was clean and easy to locate. Front desk clerk was very nice as was the staff we met as we left the next morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good fot the price"
Clean and good for what I was looking for one night. Nothing fancy but would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Oldie but goody"
price and condition of the hotel were selling points. old 80's outside doors but clean and up to date on inside. Staff was excellent. Food was ok but diverse enough for all. Would rather stay here than be 2 miles closer to campus and pay double the rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was not clean and over priced for what you received.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay in Tuscaloosa"
The hotel was great! The room was a suite and we were pleasantly surprised to see a king and a queen bed. It was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was nice with a mixture of hot and cold foods. The hotel staff were very helpful and nice! Had a bit of a problem with the wifi but used our own hot spot when needed. It was close to all the main attractions […] in Tuscaloosa. Would definitely stay here again when in Tuscaloosa! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location but ingress and egress are tricky"
Nice staff, good area of town, convenient location for dining, visiting campus, taking in a movie at IMaxGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel and moderately priced"
hotel was very easy to get to. lots of other hotels around. they had a fence around the parking lot. in the same parking lot as a Walmart, which was a huge plus. refrigerator and microwave in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the Bypass"
I had a good overall experience, but the room refrigerator did not work and there was mold on the shower curtain. No excuses for that!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Thought it was closer to UA"
This hotel was fine for an overnight when visiting UA. It wasn't as close to the university as I thought from the description but not too much of a drive. The gate surrounding the property and the pass thru glass that I had to use to check in wasn't the most comforting experience but we had no safety issues.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to university of alabama"
Easy access on and off interstate. A very short drive to the university of alabama.Genuine Expedia guest review
My wife and I were visiting Alabama for the first time. The management and staff were courteous and helpful to us in every way. The location was idea for visits to the University of Alabama. A great Mexican restaurant, Los Tarascos, is within walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the University"
Sufficient and Cute for the money. Close to good eating places and just down the road from the Mall with good shopping. Only two issues - stained bedspread and wet coffee packs left inside the coffee pot. Reported the bedspread to front desk as we left and was asked if it was like that when we arrive. Duh! That was insulting. He then apologized. Carpet […] was new. Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious. Security was good with one way in and one way out with an iron gate. Lobby clean and fresh smelling as was the room. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel - convenient location, good price"
Hotel was easy to locate (and located next to LARGE WalMart, great for folks who forget things when they travel or want to stock up on snacks for the trip). Room was clean and in convenient location. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I checked into the Days Inn about 1am and finally get into the room & there is no tv remote and the guy on duty at front desk tells me that I will have to go back to front desk myself if I want a remote . The area around the hotel is sketchy so I said " no way, I don't feel safe!" The bathroom floor was filthy , no maid had touched this floor in months!!! […] Grunge around the toilet area and filth around the shower floor! After being gone all day to find a bug crawling on the blanket of the bed I'm about to lay down on. I dispose of the bug and get into bed at this point there is nothing I can do because there are no available rooms . As I'm laying there with a pillow in my lap another bug crawls across the pillow. Upon checking out the following morning I speak with the manager and mention to him how dirty the room was and inform him of the bug problem, expecting an apology and or some type of compensation because this was definitely not a $80.00 per night night room. I also provided a video of the bug crawling in my bed & photos of the dirty bathroom floor & all he wanted to know was did the bug fly into the room? Was it a lady bug? I asked him if he ever checked the rooms to make sure housekeeping was doing a good job and he said yes.I would never stay at this hotel again or possibly any Days Inn for that matter after this experience . Would never stay there again. Bathroom was filthy.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff went out of their way to get me into a non-smoking room by deep cleaning a smoking room. I was skeptical, but you really couldn't tell it had been smoked in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were visiting University.Very pleasant stay. Would stay again. My only problem was a wobbly ironing board and fridge was a little noisy.Genuine Expedia guest review
The agent checking us in was very friendly and personable. There was a staff member in the breakfast area who helped me to get the toaster working. She was nice and helpful, also. Everyone I encountered on staff seemed to take pride in their work. Everything in our room was in order with the exception of dirt on the bathroom floor and baseboard tiles […] behind the bathroom door. I would recommend this hotel to others. "Wouldn't Stay Here"
The room was dark, musty and stinky. Fake leather sofa had a hole in it and instead of repairing, the hole was taped with checkered tape. Wouldn't recommend staying here for no more than overnight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
could have been betterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel I'm usually terrified of getting cheaper hotels but this one was actually very nice. It was pretty clean and comfortable. We didn't stay for breakfast so I don't know how it is. The hotel location was great too! In the same parking lot as wal mart!Genuine Expedia guest review
I booked a smoking room purely by accident online. I am a non smoker so the room was absolutely dreadful. Our clothes smelled it was hard to breath in the room. Because I booked online instead of with the hotel they would not switch our room to a non smoking. Very poor customer service. Did not even want to check to see if they had a non smoking room […] or even offer an air freshener. The lady at the front desk basically had the attitude that because I booked online and they had to wait to get their money, there was nothing she could do or wanted to do. I would have been happy to book with the hotel if they did not have a mandated 2 night minimum on home game weekends. A couple of other issues with the room, one there was no soap in the room and two it had a love seat that was falling apart. You could not sit on it or else you would fall right through to the floor. "Conveniently located older maintained location"
Nothing to really complain about this stay. The bed was comfortable and the room had a desk, a leather couch, coffee table, frig and even a micro. The only complaint was the 20 year old gigantic tube tv. I'm used to hight def and this was really lo def.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Surprisingly good hotel for the money."
Not a problem of any sort. Very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. An old CRT tv, but then I am quite old also and still working well! Carpet looked and felt as new. Being a mini-suite, it had a little couch, work table, easy chairs. Granite counter tops a nice touch. Good staff, fine front desk lady, good continental breakfast that was more […] than adequate. Parking near front door was a plus. Looked to be a safe area. Quick to Interstate, downtown, shopping. I've paid 50 percent more other places and got nothing better than this Day's Inn. I was very pleased with the location of the hotel, for I was near I-59/20, McDonald, Shoe Station, etc. which I loved. Since I was alone, I was quite comfortable and at ease in the room. I plan to use this hotel in the future when traveling to Alabama.Genuine Expedia guest review
HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. EVEN THOUGH IT HAD EXTERIOR ROOMS THERE IS GATED FENCE AROUND THE PROPERTY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Almost turned into the KFC driveway. Better signage needed. Very Clean. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was OK, could have had more choices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasantly Surprised! Very Nice Rooms!!"
I lived in Tuscaloosa for 4 years through college and this was my first time actually staying in one of the city's hotels. I was very pleased and surprised at how nice the room was! It was very spacious-even had a leather couch/sitting area-and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great-only a few miles from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre-and […] close to everything on Skyland and McFarland. The staff was incredibly friendly as well! We slept in so we did not get to have the continental breakfast. There is also a fitness room available! I would highly recommend the Days Inn and stay there again.
