Great location close to Deutsche Oper Berlin and served by bus less than 100m walk from the front door, less than 30 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof by bus and S-bahn. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had at the price. My only complaint is some smoking jerk in the floor below would blow his garbage out his window and of course it would be sucked directly into my windows. Thankfully the air-conditioning was working perfectly.

We stayed a week at the hotel and enjoyed it. Best locaition in Berlin, very close to most museums. also very close to the S & U Bohn and trains. Shopping is near by. I would stay again when in Berlin.

Very nice. No complaints. Had to pay for breakfast and wifi and parking but that seems to be standard in Europe. Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety and quality. Room was very nice as was Hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, helpfl and spoke good English. Could walk safetly from Hotel to major attractions. On a street car and subway route. Would stay here again.

Everything was very good, including the restaurant. There are only a few things I would change: 1. The room had an old rundowned carpet. No matter how much you vacuum it, it does not look clean. Would much rather have a hardwood floor or something similar. 2. The "business room" is a very tinny space with only one computer. For the money I payed, I would expect a "real" bussiness room with three or four PC's, etc. 3. The espresso coffee machine never worked (although you can get good coffee just about everywhere around the place). Other than that, it is a great hotel ... specially the view, WOW ... awesome ... and the location can't be better. The staff was very friendly too.

"OK for the money"
The hotel is very good if location and quality of neighborhood is important to you. The hotel lobby is very nice. The rooms are ok, somewhat outdated and the bathroom is very very small. The hallway outside the room smelled like cigarette smoke. If you are a tourist and will be out of the hotel the whole day, I would definitely recommend this hotel. "GOOD CHOICE"
This is a quality hotel in an excellent location quite near to the Ku'damm. Some sleeping rooms show a bit of age but the Mark provides an overall good hotel experience. Great German restaurant across the street (Meineke). Hard Rock at the end of the street at Ku'damm. Not likely to get an early check in but hotel will store luggage.
"Not a 4 Star Location for sure"
If you are going from US, one would be surprised to see that this hotel lacks some basic stuff which is guranteed in usa. To start with it does not have a coffee pot/hot water jar in the rooms. They dont provide any iorn or iorn board in the rooms. Even calling 800 nos or local numbers from the room can be very expensive. Bathrooms/showers are half […] the size of a normal bath tub in usa. Internet even if you pay, is slower than dial up in usa. Moreover internet access is charged hourly. WORST is that DO NOT BANK on the wakeup call from the front desk. THEY DO NOT CALL. atleast this happened to 3 of us who stayed in berlin mark and none got a wakeup call from the front desk. They have a manual system and is not effective. "Great location, quiet. Internet needs work"
This hotel is in a great location, just a block off of the Kurfurstendamm Strasse with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. A short block from the Uhland U station as well. Close to the pickup point for the Circle City tour. Nice lobby, typical European room. Friendly staff that spoke good English. Comments: A/C was marginal, but welcome compared to […] many other German hotels that have none. Internet was fast, but sluggish in response to new connections. Note that the toilet in my room was considerably lower than normal - could be an issue for those with mobility issues. Business class lounge was adequate(free drinks and fruit). Elevators were noisy. "Don't Stay Here"
The hotel staff were unfriendly. The hotel needed serious updating. They also wanted to charge you for every little thing. It was very hot - a/c only worked a little bit, not cooling the room sufficiently. The room was somewhat unclean, especially the old carpets. I would not stay here again. "NO FREE INTERNET"
I booked this hotel because similar ones were full by the time I wanted to make reservations. This hotel is about a block from the Kurfurstendamm U-bahn and about 3 blocks from the Zoologisher S-bahn stations. The Hard Rock Cafe is at the end of the block (but who wants to pay 12.50 euro or about $20 for a hamburger). The hotel wanted 3 euro/hr or 10 […] euro/day for internet - hell no, found cafes in other places to use free internet. Recommend Mama Blooms Cafe on the next block (Joachmister) or Vapiano's further down for good eats. Read more

"Berlin Mark Hotel"
A nice hotel in a good neighborhood in the western part of the city. Several very nice restaurants in 10 minutes walking distance; quite close to high-end shopping. Bring your own power converter, the selection was not oriented towards US plugs.

A great hotel in a ideal location of Berlin, very close to transportation. Staff is friendly and the hotel decor is great. Please be aware if you state a single room/price you will get a single room with a twin bed. The only down side as a American Traveler is no Wash Clothes or Toiletries. "Mediocre"
I chose this hotel because it seems to be one of the few that has airconditioning. If air conditioning is your priority, then this hotel might be good for you, there was nothing else special about it. The bathroom had mold in the shower, the room had 2 single beds pushed together to form our double bed, but they did not stay together. One of us kept […] falling into the hole in the middle. "Well worth the money"
I think we were pleasantly surprised with the quality at the Mark Hotel in Berlin. We were upgraded to a corner suite which was roomy and well furnished. The surrounding neighborhood is great for shopping and restaurants. Although it can be a bit of a long walk to some of the more historical sites they are readily available by the metro.
"Decent hotel in great location"
Service is a touch "Berlin", my keycard stopped working and internet was down for a day. But rooms are comfortable, breakfast (we had ours in the business lounge) was decent, and the location is excellent. The Literaturcafe on the next street over is a great place to go for coffee or dinner.

Over all it was a fun stay in Berlin, but did encountered a few un-pleasantries. First, I was told the breakfast was included and clearly written so on my room key card, but they insisted on charging me upon checking out, even though it was their mistake; A lunch take-away was supposed to be included in the package, but not delivered; Toiletries were […] not re-supplied after cleaning, on second day i had to call service for body lotion; and then I can not find shampoo the following day. Well placed for the Berlin Messedam exhibition centre, also Tegel Airport (€16 by taxi) and very close to the Ku'Damm. Good value for money. Only niggle were the in-room toileteries - bring your own!

"Functional and clean hotel with very convenient access to explore Berlin"
It was our first time in Berlin, and I have to say that we really found the right hotel to explore and enjoy Berlin. It is quite close to the Zoo, meaning there are plenty of restaurants, bars, fashion shops and, even best, places to rent a bike at reasonable price. The hotel is functional, the rooms are clean and well sized (both bathroom and bedroom). […] It was a confortable stay and I have to say that the quality/money ratio is one of the highest I found in Europe. The staff is great. public transport cards can be purchased in the reception. The desk staff in the hotel was extremely antagonistic towards the guests. They took 45 minutes to find my Hotels.com reservation. Every time I walked through the lobby the desk clerks were arguing with someone and the customer was always wrong. We were a party of four persons ( two couples) all AOP's. The hotel was very good indeed. Rooms were very clean, linen changed each day, with all staff being most pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. The hotel is situated approximately 200 metres from the nearest Metro sub-way station with bus stops […] also some 200 metres away. "Hey, at least its nice looking."
The front desk people, other than the night shift, were not helpful, and not friendly. They even gave me wrong directions..lol. The breakfast was TERRIBLE! It was 15 euros, and the eggs were disgusting. The hotel looks very nice, is very clean, but they tell you to watch your hangbags, even when they're in your room...when the only ppl other than yourself […] who access your room is hotel staff...okkkay. I used to live in Berlin when I was in the Army and went back to vist. The hotel is very close to major downtown attractions (Kudam) and tours. Also close to public transportation (u-bahn,s-bahn). I would stay there again.

Although Berlin was a great place to be, the Berlin Mark Hotel service was nothing spectacular, nor was it a great place to stay. I believe they may be renovating part of it, which I am completely fine with, however, our room had a toilet smell for the two nights that we stayed there. I was very surprised to find such outstanding quality and service in this Hotel, especially for the price. The staff was very helpful with the exception of one waitress who was very rude too me and acted as if I was bothering her. I guess nothing is 100%. The reception went out of their way to help me with maps and directions and were always curtious. […] Not to mention the beautiful decor and convienient location. I went to Berlin with my mom and found this hotel for a decent price online. + Large continental breakfast. Something for every taste. + Clean rooms. + Close to Kurfürstendamm and busses/trains. - Very uncomfortable beds. Both my mom and I had problems with our backs afterwards. Also the pillows were in poor shape. - Aircondtion wasn't working properly […] and because the room was very warm we had to open the balcony door. - The doors to the shower were difficult to close. The hotel was okey and decently cheap but since we didn't like the beds neither of us would use this hotel if we went back to Berlin. This is also the reason why I won't give the hotel more than 3 out of 5. If you're only planning to stay a day or two, maybe to shop, the hotel is perfectly situated close to Kurfürstendamm. Me and a friend, both 18, went for a long weekend to do some shopping, party and practice our german. The hotel is directly next to the longest shopping street in Berlin, with plenty of bars, great access to the metro, where everything is max 15 mins away, and when needed, everyone in the hotel could communicate well in english. We booked the Hotel for 5 nights. Unfortunately the last 3 days the cards did not open the door and i had to waste time to contact hotel personell to resolve the issue. It should not happen consecutively day after day 3 times.

"Affordable, nice hotel"
Very affordable, very good location, friendly staff. I am very satisfied overall.

"Nice hotel but bad coffee"
We had a nice stay at this hotel - the overall standard was ok and the location suited us perfect. The only criticism we have is the coffee in the mornings, it was not hot and it tasted old.
Very cheap hotel for what you got. A little bit away from the sights but very close to a main bus and train station (zooischer gardens). Clean and comfortable. No kettle in the room and you did have to pay for boiling water and internet was pricey enough at €3 an hour. Didn't have breakfast as €16 was a bit pricey. The hotel was great from the second we got there. The girl at reception was lovely. The room we had was huge and its just a short walk into town. I totally recommend this hotel, faultless stay!!
