I payed a reduced rate to stay at the hotel for 6 nights (30% off or something). I found the hotel to be modern and tidy but my room was slightly shabby and dated. I think the hotel was being refurbished and they forgot my room! Maybe it was the whole of the 6th floor- like they were the 'cheap rooms' or something. Breakfast was included and it was good quality and varied. My room was clean but the decor was not nice and the room was small. The air con didnt really work and there was no kettle to boil water or any complimentary toiletries or water to drink. The location is in the west of Berlin. This is useful but at the moment there are works on the line which serves the nearest U-Bahn station. Check before you travel !!! The surrounding area is a bit of a tourist trap but has some good shopping. Not good for food or coffees. You should head to the east for more of an original experience. However, Berlin is easy and cheap to travel round - even when the Euro is so strong a travel card works out cheaper than in the UK. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. 4/5

Great location - close to several U-Bahn stops (Uhlandstrasse and Kurfurstendamm, although I enjoyed the 10 minute walk to Zoo Garten which was a more useful line for me), and right on the Ku'Damm, so walking home at night alone was fine as it was always busy. Plenty of places to eat on Meinekestrasse and the Ku'Damm. The hotel breakfasts were amazing! Lots of lovely things to choose from and buffet style so you could fill yourself up before a day of sightseeing:-) Perfectly comfortable room (apart from falling down the gap between the mattresses of my 'double bed' a few times) with nice bathroom. Initially given the wrong room but the staff sorted that out in 2 minutes. All in all, very good value for money and somewhere I'd use again.

Overall the hotel is in a great location just off the Kurfurstendam and very close (i.e. 300m) to the nearest U-bahn station and within easy walking distance to the Zoo Garten station which comes from the airport. The hotel itself is lovely, a buffet brekfast is served in the morning from 6:30 - 10am with plenty of selection, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the foyer and restaurant are very modern and chic. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and the shower and bathroom was clinically clean with a very powerful shoer. Overall i would deffinately return to this great value stylish hotel in the heart of West Berlin.

Rooms were spotless, clean and shower rooms were white and tidy. I travelled using a priority boarding ticket that you have to print out online a newish thing from ryanair...but of course I did not bring my computer and printer with me...reception was great and spent few mins with me going throug the website and printed the form off my boarding ticket....so for that alone 5 star for the help. The hotel is functional, the rooms are clean and well sized (both bathroom and bedroom). It was a confortable stay and I have to say that the quality/money ratio is one of the highest I found in Europe. The staff is great. public transport cards can be purchased in the reception. The garage did not have direct access to the hotel, and was about a 3-5 minute walk away. The train station was about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was included in our room rate. The food was not spactacular, and the dining room was always packed. This place is something for the budget traveler with not too many expectations in terms of comfort. The location is excellent, that's if you like the city center west of Berlin (it's not in the buzzing humming trendy east!), the lobby looks nice, but the rooms are really really small. The bathroom is sub-standard, super small and does not deserve three stars. The mattresses are way too soft. The gap between the mattresses makes it extremely uncomfortable since you always fall into it. Plus the mattresses are not sitting within the frame, so they always get pushed apart. And who thought of placing the TV not in sight-line with your eyes when you are comfortably stretched out on your bed, but rather on the wall left to you, at the very far left corner, at a 90 degree angle from where you are lounging on the bed?! An espresso and a glass of water ordered at the lobby bar came as water only and without the espresso. The elevator caused quite a scare doing a 5 inch vertical bounce every time you stepped in. Overall, if all you are looking for is a bed and a place to shower, then this is not too shabby. But don't expect comfort and a memorable experience. Cheers!
