Lethbridge Lodge

I stayed here for one night on business. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff all throughout the hotel were very polite, kind and prompt with service. I enjoyed the environment of the hotel, and it was very reasonably priced. I would stay at this hotel again when I am down in Lethbridge.

We checked in with a dog. I know that their pet-friendly rooms are not top notch, but the room stank from cigarette smoke. It made our eyes water. This was a non-smoking room. I called downtown the desk and asked if I could hit a lightbulb replaced and it was changed in 5 min. I also got a call to see if the work was completed in a timely manner And to my satisfaction . The food was very good and the staff were fun.

They let the teams run the hallways, flip the deadbolt and let the door slam against it! The hotel was under renovation but not sure what they were renovating. The room was clean, comfortable and the air conditioner was not noisy. Very old hotel, outdated rooms. Room had a tube tv, first hotel in years that i've seen that. Hotel food wasn't bad and staff were friendly. The hotel is conveniently located, especially if you are in Lethbridge to attend an event at the Enmax arena, as we were. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and efficient. The hotel looked nice from the outside, but the room was VERY dated and humid! The maintanence in our room was not the greatest as shown with the mold in the shower tile grout, the carpet required you to have shoes on at all times (flip flops when you roll out of bed) and the bathroom door would only close if you hugged the toilet (very small bathroom)! […] This place needs to update the rooms in a bad way. Hotel is dated. Remember staying there years ago and it was quite nice. The wifi worked sporadically. Couldn't really do any work using it, as it would disconnect every few minutes and may not allow me to reconnect for 30 minutes or more.

I stayed in this hotel 20 years ago. At that time it was above average. I was disappointed this time because nothing has changed since then. The bathroom is outdated. The tub is just a tub. The sink even had rust spots along the edge that had ineffectively been painted over. The TV is not updated to a flatscreen yet! Even the tire on the luggage cart […] was almost flat! We have st.ayed at the Lodge many times over the last 20 years and have always had a pleasurable experience. However we cannot say that this time. Aside from the Reno.'s being performed, which were not a factor at all we found it feeling run down, not maintained like it used to be. Our room was just "sprayed" with some cleaner and was very obvious. […] Our pay per view did not work. When we inquired at the front desk about it we were told there is no one available to fix it or help to fix it. Upon arriving we were told on check in that our room we booked on-line was not clean so we were given a different room -upgraded and that many of the rooms had not been cleaned yet. The front desk Clark also indicated the lodge was almost empty and had approx 80 rooms to rent.? As a consumer we do not need to know this info as it portrays a "negative" in our mind. the mattress on bed was totally shot, both of us sunk into the middle of the bed. walls were paper thin so it was very noisy, especially being down the hall from pool area. overall the hotel needs a renovation.

The hotel is an older building and is showing its age. Its not dilapidated but it is dated. Some renovations are in progress. The room was clean and quiet but the selling point of this hotel is the customer service. The staff are there to help and were allowed to help the customer based on their judgement without having to go by the managers rule book. […] As a result I was able to get a 3 pm check out, free of charges, so that I did not have to leave some valuable things in my car while I finished attending the conference I was at. The front reception staff was not overly helpful and not very pleasant. I checked in at 5:30pm and my room was not ready yet. The carpet was sticky, there was hair in the shower prior to use. The phone did not work, they sent someone to fix the phone the next morning at 7:30 to fix it. The remote control for the TV barely worked. Roof work was taking […] place through the night and into the morning, scaffolding was directly outside the window to our room and workmen were going up and down during the night and the following morning, thankfully we kept our drapes closed but that didn't stop the noise of it all. Overall a rather disappointing stay, there was more I could tell you but whats the point I think these were the hilights of the visit. My colleague and I will most likely never stay there again. We ended up cancelling . The room was not ready when checkin time was and we were told to come back again in a half hour- still not ready-would be another hour. This hotel is extremely tired. The rooms need to be updated entirely. The lobby and common area is oustanding and very well done. However, the rooms have some serious issues. The beds are in terrible shape (saggy), the TV's are out of the 80's with terrible pictures. The bathroom is so far outdated and the fixtures don't match. Heck the door to the […] room did not even seal, thus noise is an issue. I would put this hotel as a poor Motel 6 with a nice lobby, but with a top Hotel price tag. If you can get this hotel for a 2 star price, good value. but at their current rates , take a huge pass. The front desk was terribly over worked, thus not helpful, bordering on rude. The hotel staff, dining and atmosphere is really good. The rooms are very dated, the bathroom is very dated. We were on the bottom floor, the lock for the window was held on by 2 tiny screws, that would not hold if somebody tried to break in. The beds were comfortable ,and clean.

This hotel is very old and by the condition of our room, they have done NO updates since it was built. The bed linens were fairly new but there was only a duvet and no blanket. As the heat is touchy, you either sweated under the duvet or were chilly without anything light to put over you. Also, I had prepaid my room in full. I do not understand why […] there should be a $150 incidental charge that takes 4-6 days to fall off in these days of computer banking. They knew the day we left that there were no additional charges. Why then, the delay in removing the pending charges? The Lodge is like the grand old lady of Lethbridge. She was amazing in her prime, and the courtyard area still is, but the rooms are looking tired and worn. My room was pretty clean, but I don't think I'd stay again. The staff at the front desk were very nice.

The best thing about our stay at The Lethbridge Lodge was that the beds were comfortable & seemed clean, I wish I could say that about the rest of the room.
