We had an excellent time during this trip! The hotel was comfortable and had a fantastic location. Everything is in walking distance--restaurants, bars and lots of shopping. The beach was nice. The only negatives were that the beach is a little rocky as you enter the ocean and there's also vendors trying to sell you items while you're laying on the […] beach. Ww went with 10 of our friends. We had a very nice time. The hotel staff on checkingi in were very friendly. I never had a problem with any part of our trip. My husband is ill with cancer so he didnt travel well. Once housekeeping took the soiled towels and didn't leave clean ones but I called front desk and they delivered them quickly. With all inclusive […] they do not let you take food from the dining areas. They want you to ordee from room service. Which is not part of all inclusive. With a sick husband that made it alittle hard. So I had to have him come to dining areas to eat and he didn't want to do that a lot. The resort was nicely located. It was very clean from what I saw. The wait staff was friendly in all dining areas. The bartenders were very nice I would certainly go back to this resort. We have been coming here for about 20yrs and have always loved it. This year however was more than a bit disappointing. One of the pools and one of the bars were closed for maintainence and the Frutas Y Flores dining area was closed off and on for some kind of floor maintainence. I was in Puerto Vallarta last week (Aug 7 - Aug 12) and my family and I stayed at this hotel. It has everything you would need and the services is great. There is no complains about it besides that they did not give us our pool towels, the towels always were dirty and they were washing them or they were occupied, no big deal. The location of this hotel is really nice, it is about 5-10 min walking distance to the "malecon" of puerto vallarta, depending your pace. "Not a bad hotel, needs updating"
Went to this hotel for 5 days to be with family and friends most recently. Didn't realize that the hotel is right basically in the middle of the town, surrounded by other hotels, restaurants, shops, clubs. The hotel is about 15 mins from the airport, 11$ cab ride or a 1$ bus ride. There are only 2 restaurants in the hotel... the buffet and the restaurant […] near the beach in which you have to make reservations for in the evening (even if there are many tables available). The buffet was not bad, pretty basic breakfast foods. In the evening they changed up the type of food they were serving (ex. mexican, mediterrean). At the restaurant where you make reservations you order off of the menu. Pretty good options as well. Fish tacos are incredible, ate those everyday. When on the beach, or even in the lounge chairs in the pool it was quite annoying to have the locals who sell their products come right up to you, passing the line that they are not supposed to cross. We saw that the hotel staff do keep the grounds beautiful, however, the pool water was quite dirty and needed a good sweeping out constantly. On the beach there are bugs .... sand mites.. got a TON of bites. You don't see them or feel them biting you, but their there. Extremely itchy. Drinks were great and the bar staff were fantastic and friendly. This is a family-friendly hotel with wonderful staff. We stayed there last year and found a number of changes this year that made our stay even better. The restaurants have added white covers for the chairs to match the table linens and the outdoor dining area is covered with 'fishing line' to discourage birds from landing. "Close to the Malecon"
Great service and good food made up for what lacked in this hotel. We upgraded to the honeymoon suite ahead of time in order to guarantee a balcony and ocean view. What I didn't realize was how small the room would be! The balcony (with a pleasing view) was barely large enough for 2 chairs and the jacuzzi tub took almost an hour to fill to a level where […] you could turn on the jets! This would have been an excellent hotel to take my mother on a vacation, not my girlfriend. (we are a couple between 28-38). The nightly entertainment was an excellent way to fall asleep and the life around the pool (and activities provided) were not the way they sound on paper. The only time the hotel had any energy was the group of locals who stayed for a day or two. This often brought with it a pool full of kids. The "adult only" section was not even available and do not be fooled by the large outdoor jacuzzi... it in in the spa and only accessible by appoitment between 9 and 6 pm. We booked two deluxe ocean view select rooms because on the room information it stated with balcony. When we arrived at the hotel they advised us that was not the case and it was only if available and of course we didn't get a balcony. I checked the web site today and it has been corrected. The one thing I found very annoying was the saving of beach […] and pool chairs. The hotel has a no saving rule but it is totally disregarded and not enforced. Guests are putting their hats and towels on chairs before they go to breakfast. We got the select aii inclusive plan that was premium food and drinks.
