"Friendly, helpful staff, boring location"
When I booked it I didn't have a clear idea about where I would like to stay in Cape Cod. Sandwich is not that close to the beach. We did see the glass factory, which was interesting. The Inn was pleasant and well-maintained, but hardly luxurious and disappointing for the price. Also, we arrived at about 5 p.m. on a weekday and the spa was closed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Inn and Spa was a nice hotel in the middle of the quaint town of Sandwich. Their gardens, pool, restaurant were very nice. Room was a good size, comfortable mattress, cozy space. The service could have been better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historical Inn within a Charming Town!"
I was very impressed with the The Dan'l Webster Inn and Spa! It was so charming, and the grounds were beautifully decorated. It was very quant, and the room was very well thought out with great attention to detail. I enjoyed reading the history of the Inn which was posted in various parts of the inn, and in the info book in our room. The coffee in the […] room tasted great, and the chocolates at turndown were delicious! At check-in, we were given a coupon for $15 off breakfast, which goes a long way since the breakfast prices were reasonable. The dining room for breakfast was so relaxing and a delight to wake up to. It had glass walls looking onto the gardens, and 2 beautiful chandeliers. I highly recommend this inn as your gateway to cape cod. The town of Sandwich was so charming and fun to spend a few hours in before we took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Stay at a Charming Historic Inn!"

I needed a reasonably priced place to stay before a business meeting the next day on the Cape and was VERY pleasantly surprised by the Daniel Webster Inn. Upon checking in the front desk manager offered to carry my bags up to the room and acquainted me with the area. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. It overlooked a beautiful garden area with tables and chairs for people to enjoy a quiet space. They offered two free bottled waters and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in even in high end places we tend to go. Full breakfast in the Inn's restaurant was included in our stay. The dinner menu offered a lot of fresh fish options local to Cape Cod and a fine wine selection as well. It was a packed bar area with many locals eating there who the staff seemed to know on a personal level. Should I be in the Sandwich/Upper Cape area in the future I would go back here in a heartbeat!

My husband and I have stayed at the DWI for at least 30 years. We stumbled across the Inn while walking around Sandwich, Ma one day. It is a lovely inn with many different rooms. We fell in love with it at once. We like staying in the Jarvis section just outside the main bldg., which is connected by a corridor and door into the actual Inn. Coffee, Tea and cookies are served in the reading room daily at 3pm. You can dine there and stay on a meal plan. Food is fantastic with great service. Nice small gift shop that is packed with anything you might want. There is also a spa, but we've never been. In the Summer there is a swimming pool in the back. It is a very relaxing place. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
"An excellent hotel"

We stayed here three nights in one of the Jarves Suites. Excellent rooms, lovely big bed with memory foam mattress. Nice bathroom with an absolutely massive shower. Jacuzzi was in the main room within a sort of gazebo, steps up to it and a big mural overhead. Also blissful underfloor heating – just perfect for when you step out of the shower. Toiletries were ok, nothing special. A balcony with seats and table overlooked an inner courtyard, and it was nice to sit outside with a drink. Coffee machine in the room, with an excellent selection of coffees and teas. Free wifi with perfect reception and good speed. Also good TV with a good selection of films on demand that you don’t have to pay for (some you do though). The information folder in the room included a useful guide on amounts to tip. Obviously second nature for those in the USA, but for Brits and others it can be a bit of a minefield so a guide was very welcome. Turndown service in the evening included a nice chocolate on the pillow and a little card advising you of the next day’s weather. Although breakfast was not included in the room price, we got a $15 voucher towards breakfast which is nice, and brought the average cost down to around $11. The food was really good with an extensive selection. We ate at the Tavern one evening, and again the food was very good. In all areas of the hotel the service was superb, particularly the waiting staff at breakfast. Also a special mention to the General Manager David Rose. A great guy and very helpful. I can’t really recommend this hotel too highly. It is superb.

We found every aspect of the Inn, employees, food, room cleanliness, and overall ambience top notch. Although we did not use the spa, we would, judging from from 30 years of experience returning to Dan'l Webster almost every year, give it high marks. They do thing right. Anthony Mazza.

"Romantic weekend getaway!"

Our stay at the Daniel Webster was everything I was hoping for and more! It was a surprise for my wife to celebrate her birthday and our anniversary, back to back!! What a weekend!! It was a great treat for my wife and I and she could not have been happier! Our room, the restaurant breakfast and dinner were excellent. We really felt like guests while we were there. The staff is very friendly and courteous and professional. There is a beautiful garden sitting area and pool that we enjoyed during our stay. The conservatory where we sat for dinner was nicely lit at night and created a comfortable and romantic atmosphere. Also, be sure to visit the Beach Plum Spa! We will visit here again!

I can honestly say after extensive travel the the accommodations here were top notch. Make sure you get the rooms with a fire place , balcony , heated tile floors and hot tub. If you use the restaurant I can recommend the veal oscar. The water theme is very soothing from the waterfall in the garden viewed from the restaurant or the little falls feeding the swimming pool.
"Wonderful place to stay"

Stayed three nights wanted a place on the Cape where we could do day trips from. The Hotel is excellent location 1.5 hours to Provincetown. Rooms are very spacious, excellent free wifi and clean - Restaurants on site , the dinning room and Pub were so good we ate there all 3 nights. Hotel overall a bit pricey but well worth it.
"Over the top!"

If you are planning a trip to Cape Cod - and the Fall is a great time when all the tourists leave - this is the place to stay. Day trips from Sandwich to destinations 'down Cape' are easy and a beautiful drive. However, you may not want to leave the Webster. This is a 5 star facility with 10 star staff. My wife & I, our youngest & her new husband, as well as many international guests were here over the past weekend for a wedding, and....wow! The gardens were just the right setting for the ceremony, the reception in the conservatory was fabulous, the rooms were immaculate, the food was to die for. Bethany & Dana did everything to make it a perfect day for the happy couple, my compliments and heartfelt thanks to them for an event without any incidents. Wife & I stayed in the Fessenden Suite, Room 42, and it was terrific. This suite is in a building detached from the main inn by a short walk across the driveway. It was quiet and comfy, had separate living, sleeping and changing areas. The newlyweds stayed in the Jarvis Suite, room 23, and they had the jacuzzi, nice balcony, fireplace, etc. When they returned to their room after the reception, there were rose pedals laid out leading to the four poster bed and the jacuzzi, as well as a heart made of rose pedals on the bed. The Webster arranged for the florist, who was a local shop the best we have used for any event. We received compliments from everyone on the flowers, the food and the service. Thanks to everyone for a memorable time. Can't wait for the pictures and video!
