The hotel needs to be updated. Maintanence is a problem for such a beautiful building. The cleaning staff did not do a good job. There was dust on a lot of surfaces, poorly cleaned bathrooms, and trash left in the room from a previous occupant. It is a very convenient hotel if you are planning on enjoying downtown or have business in the area.

"Dirty and Rundown"

This Hotel was awful! We thought that it would be really cool because it was historical, but apparently EVERYTHING about the hotel was historical and had not been updated in years. The beds were completely flat, the ceilings had water damage, the windows were broken, the sheets were stained and overall did not loo clean.

This hotel is very old and could use a serious update. The room was extremely small. The streets were very loud until late at night.

A WONDERFUL OLD HISTORIC BUILDING BUT THE ROOMS, ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOMS, NEEDS TO BE UPDATED.

The hotel was lovely until the neighborhood bars closed. The noise ruined our sleep as well as our stay. Drunk college students zoomed, horns beeping and yelling through the adjacent parking structure from about 2:00 a.m. until 3:30.

"Quirky and interesting"

I happen to like architecturally significant hotels rather than ticky tacky boxes so I enjoyed my stay at the Clarion. I was fortunate to get a nice room with a balcony overlooking the splendid town hall/court house and it snowed as well, so that was great. Room was well equipped but some of the decor was tired but still all was very acceptable. Seemed very quiet. Staff were fine and it was all easy through hotels.com.
