I have stayed at this hotel several times for business. Rooms are Always clean and comfortable. Breakfast has been upgraded with more offerings and more comfortable seating arrangements. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel was gracious and welcoming, with excellent service. My only difficulty was with the bed. The mattress was very firm which I find really uncomfortable. This hotel is nice and clean and just right for most purposes. The website said they provide a continental breakfast, but it's actually a "full American breakfast". We had a buffet with scrambled eggs, french toast, bagels, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee.

For a hotel that lists itself as a 4-star, this was an utter disappointment. We were in town for a wedding and the Bride and Groom had reserved a large block of rooms, so you'd think the staff would be a little bit more polite! So the woman at the front desk had no personality, didn't really welcome us, and then sends us to a room with the AC off. It […] was in the high 90's outside, you'd think they would turn on the AC before we arrived! So we had to get ready in a room that was hotter than the outside summer temps! When we asked them to take a look at it almost 2 hours later, when it hadn't cooled down, I was told that he maintenance guy was leaving soon to go home. Completely unacceptable when you're paying the kind of rate we paid! Then, if you want ice you have to take your bucket down to the front desk and they have to walk to another room to get it for you. Hours later the room was still very warm so it was a very uncomfortable night and the whole experience was terrible which is really a shame b/c it affected more guests than just us. We were able to stay one night in this place at a bargain rate. We were very happy with the mattress, the included breakfast (by far the best I've seen in a long time), the wifi and the helpful staff. Two downsides: first, lots of noise came through the room door, and there is a sound-magnifying central atrium. Second, there were a few maintenance problems […] with our room. The leg fell off the armchair while I was sitting in it, and one of the electrical outlets did not work right - something was loose and only if I wiggled the plug did the light come on and the laptop charge. Front desk staff noted the problems and promised to fix them. All in all, a good choice at a good rate with the good far outweighing the bad. Read more

This is a pleasant hotel with an attractive lobby, nice rooms and a compentent, friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to someone who needs to be in the Roslyn, NY area, but not as a vacation destination.

Loved the shores around the area. The town was so beautiful and enjoyed the views. MOst of all the staff are excellent and treat you like family. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and they helped us do that. Go to this hotel and enjoy the beauty and the service.

Overall a great place to stay. Common areas are very elegant. The room is just your basic nice hotel room, another chair would be most helpful. The room was much too warm, we opened the windows in March. There was supposed to be a minibar, but there was nothing, not even a small refrigerator. Room service was almost immediate and friendly. Hotel and room very comfortable and clean. Very reasonable price. Breakfast very good although with little variety. Warm and quiet neighborhood with restaurants and ATM, Only 20 minutes by bus or 8 minutes by car until the train station Washington to go to New York.

The hotel was very nice. My girlfriend only stayed one night, it was located withing 15 -20 minutes of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Colessium which was convienant for us. Unfortuanately the hotel's restaurant is no longer in service although the bar is able to serve a limited menu. Our bartender, Peter, was awesome and quite helpful. Unfortunately the […] bar closed at 10 PM and we were unable to get a night cap after the game. The hotel had an old time elegance and I would like to see the restaurant return. I did order roomservice at about midnight which was ridiculiously over priced, $20 for a cold turkey sandwhich which took over an hour to get to my room. It was worth the stay, but avoid the roomservice. Read more
