"Great location at Mammoth Lakes."
My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was perfect for a one night stay and the price was great. Would stay here again. It's an older hotel and has all the basic needs covered.Genuine Expedia guest review
Maybe you should rethink having this place on your list of hotels. The property was in a good location but is in need of some maintenance and upgrades. Th room itself was very large, furnishings were old and not very clean. we had 3 adults in our group and had to pay an extra fee for the third person even though we had 2 King beds and a twin bed in […] the room. on the first morning we were there we found, what I believe , was a bed bug. I left a note for the cleaning crew and nothing was addressed, we took the comforter and blankets off all the beds and used only the sheets so that we could see any other bugs. The sheets on all 3 beds were not clean looking, they were old and very wrinkled with small blood stains. Very gross, we had some bedding of our own which we used.We stayed away from the room most of the day and kept our bags in the car so we wouldn't pick up any bed bugs in our clothes. We used the shower and bathroom facilities which were clean and adequate, the towels were of poor quality, small, very rough and old. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even the motel 6 down the street would be a better choice. On a scale of 1 to 5 this place gets a -5. Bad Experience! "Spend a little more"
Pool has not been filled in a long time. We had to ask owner to hear spa. Hotel shows it's age.Genuine Expedia guest review
Wouldn't recommend this hotel. The hotel is in dire need of upkeep. The pool was empty in mid-August! The hallways have the Ick factor. The rooms are only "okay"after we shut the door to our rooms. Still wore my thongs in the room. Bed was awful ! Not sure...maybe it's the harsh winters and ski climate but won't be staying here again. They need to spend […] some money on the upkeep of the hotel ! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Won't stay there again. Hotel was shabby, sheets dingy, blanket with holes in it, breakfast was pitiful, Cereal and milk and yucky coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price I guess"
The room smelled horrible, the bed was uncomfortable, and the continental breakfast was pretty bad, but the location and price made up for it actually. It was the cheapest place in Mammoth when I searched, and the lowest price was the most important factor for me. So, I got what I paid for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The best of an older hotel"
The stay was quiet and lovely..the staff very accommodating. Very clean although dated rooms...after all it's an old hotel. New carpet being installed during my visit in all guest rooms. I would request a king on Main Street side for pretty view. All double bed rooms are downstairs in the back..fine for a family. If you don't need fancy but want CLEAN […] and QUIET I would recommend this lodge for sure..easy access to restaurants and shuttles to mountain. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Lousy, dirty, unhygienic hotel. Rate of $110 per night is highway robbery.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cheapest hotel in Mammoth for a reason"
Would be a decent place to crush for one night, if not for strong sewer smell in the room and broken door chain lock.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just a place to stay"
Since I'm in the Army and don't complain much of where I sleep when I travel, since I'm use to field life but I would rate my experience at Econolodge just that- a place of shelter to get my 4-6 hours of sleep. I didn't spend any time at the hotel but if you're looking to stay where you want red carpet treatment- stay elsewhere! But if you're like me […] and just looking for a place to sleep only and spend most of your days from early mornings and late nights hiking or sightseeing, this is that place and cheap. However try Motel 6 first, looked much cleaner. But i loved the town and all the sights I visited during my stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Went on business trip with husband & pool was amenity high on list. Pool was shut down due to underground leak & will not be fixed this year, if at all. Upset that it was not noted when making reservation. No appology or offer to discount. Continental breakfast was dried out mini muffins & even more dried out donuts, & dried cereal. Broken juice machine. […] Room was clean & we had 2 king beds instead of 2 queen; told no king beds available. Parking was tight and hard to fit larger vehicles. Definitely not recommend people that have difficulty walking or using steps as it is uneven to steps & railing is loose. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nothing particularly wrong with this place. Conveniently located on main st. I'd stay again. Places in Bishop, CA can be way cheaper though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"older than a Mammoth, but good value"
it's old and worn but clean, convenient and helpfully staffed. HUGE room, OK beds - hey, it "ain't the Ritz", but if you're in Mammoth, what are you doing in the room anyway?Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel desk had trouble checking in my parents recently. There was some miscommunication between them and Expedia. An extremely embarrassing situation was resolved only after confirmation and itinerary numbers were emailed to hotel desk staff. "Stopover entrance to Yosemite Park"
Coming from Utah going to Yosemite Park, this was a nice place to spend the night to get an early start going into the Park. Motel had everything we needed. Older motel but clean with all the amenities we would need, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. Hospitality could not have been better. Will certainly use the motel again in our travels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for what we needed"
Decided to do a last second trip to mammoth to get some last second snowboarding in. This place was a reasonable place for a good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Decided last minute to ski mammoth for a couple days this was the cheapest booking on the website. Just like everyone said in the reviews it's perfect for just a place to stay before skiing. If you plan on spending more time at the hotel spend a little more money. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day on the mountainGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"NOT WORTH IT, PAY ALITTLE MORE & GET THE NEXT ONE!"
I picked this room up last minute for my fiancé and I. I booked this because it was the cheapest and finding it difficult to navigate expedite web site from my iPhone I didn't read the reviews. The front desk is extremely nice and quick to offer advice about snow chains and places to hangout. First our queen bed was only a double/twin, the dresser is […] missing a few drawer handles and the layout is nothing like the pictures. Once settled in we noticed there is black and green mold in the bathroom. After using the bathroom my fiancé went to use the sink and the fosset handle came right off. Afraid to touch anything and tired from the 5 1/2 hour long drive we decided to settle in for a cold snowy night and prepare ourselves for the epic day of fresh powder and snow. After discarding the top bed cover I went to grab the extra blanket. Immediately i jump back due to some very large, dried stains that I'm assuming was dried blood. The next morning we awake and I discover our coffee machine was still full of moldy grounds from the tenants before. The most disappointing part of our stay was that for $20 more we could have stayed at the next hotel with a better rating. If anyone is doubtful of my experience I took plenty of pictures. My fiancé and I stayed there for two nights, not because we enjoyed the hotel but because it was an experience, these kind of things bring you closer(literally, the bed is a twin!) and it gives you a fun adventure story full of endearment and humility. "Great price, Staff friendly, Rooms clean"
The Econo Lodge is on the Main Street making it easily accessible. The price was half, if not more, compared to the larger hotels. My room, a corner room with queen bed, faced the street which had traffic sounds however, there was a nice view through the pine trees to the mountains in the background which was a great way to wake up. The room had a mini […] frig, microwave and coffeemaker (which was clean so that using it for hot water to make tea didn't taste like coffee). The room also had a comfortable table and 2 chairs, which were positioned by the window with the view (where I enjoyed breakfast every morning having shopped at local Vons). Large screen tv which worked fine. Plenty of drawer space and two racks on the wall for coats (and for winter sports...hats, gloves, scarves, etc...) The closet had big wood hangers which could handle heavier coats if not using the coat rack. The room had a large heater which heated the room quickly however, it is loud (hence the 3 rating for comfort). The staff was very friendly and ameniable. There were some minor things needed in the room which they wanted to fix right away. In addition, I have allergies and brought my own pillow and a sheet which they were great about leaving as is, on my request. I think for the price it is a good choice. (There was also a small pool and hottub which I didn't use but did see other guests enjoying. Continental breakfast also included and that area, part of the lobby, seemed very clean.) "Great Location, Great Service, Great Price"
This is just a basic hotel room in an older hotel. The location is great and the service is great. The manager/owner is really friendly & accommodating. The room was clean & has a fridge & microwave. You can't beat it for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sleep and ski only."
Clean room, but no light fixtures (naked bulbs sticking out of ceiling), and TV console set at 90-degree angle to bed. Room is cheap for Mammoth Lakes, but you get what you're not paying for. Staff is nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, good value"

"Good Location mediocre room"
The location of the hotel was great for dining and being able to catch the bus up to the mountain. You definitely pay for what you get when it comes to hotels. The room was and it was a decent size big enough for two people. The real down side was the uncomfortable beds and pillows. We woke up each morning with aches and pains from the bed and pillow […] so bring your own pillow for comfort. It was also great to have a hot tub on site after a long day of skiing but the color of the water was a little suspicious. Overall I would give this hotel and average rating. "Uncomfortable bed and pillows"
The room was clean but the mattress was old, two pillows only (one ok, the other like sack of cement). We left early in the morning while it was dark. There was no lighting of the hallway or stairway. The room could use some updating. But the service was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Get what you pay for"
Bearing in mind that this was the cheapest place in Mammoth for Thanksgiving week, we took the experience with a grain of salt. Pros: decent location (central between town and Village), cheap, has DirectTV, cheap, has a fridge and microwave (really liked that), cheap, serves a basic breakfast for free. Cons: 1. Hot water was a major issue for us, […] but the staff claimed they were currently in the process of getting a new water heater, so this may or may not be a problem in the future. Had a really nice shower at 6 am, but anything after that was lukewarm, and sometimes not even that. 2. Our particular room kind of smelled like cat litter, and along the baseboards were remnants of animal hair in the carpet. If you don't want this to potentially be an issue, ask for an animal-free room. 3. Room heater works well, but was really loud and turned on and off throughout the night, so it woke us up when it turned on, and then again when it turned off. 4. Walls a little thin, so loud neighbors woke us up at 3 am when they came back into their room. I understand you get what you pay for, so again, being so cheap there's only so much I expected. Compared to other Econolodges I have stayed in, I'd say it was not quite as good, but it was certainly cheap! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to city center"
Black mold on ceiling of bathroom; bathtub drain was SLOW--had to stand in water before shower was over; contential breakfast was cookies, donuts muffins, coffee and tea with milk in a gallon jug sitting on the counter; registration area, room and exterior of hotel very run-down--would not stay there again if in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for what it is"
Headed up for openning day and needed a room for the night after a day on the hill and night out with friends. Staff was nice at check in, heater worked, sheets and room were clean, warm water, tv worked! Was perfect if you need a place to sleep if your staying longer and going to be in the room for an extended time you might want to upgrade. But I […] think it still gets the job done!
