The hotel was ok The garden and the swimming pool is the only good thing about especially in the morning when having breakfast outside. The room is not as shown on the website its not as nice. Not enough lights in the room. I hated the toilets there was always a smell inside even after cleaning!

The pool area and the size of out room were the best features. We were told the hotel didn't normally have double beds! but were eventually given one. Reception staff were quite arrogant and were dismissive if you weren't fluent in French. There was a distinct lack of information about what was going on , which wasn't much. The bar closed at 11pm and […] it was difficult to get even a bottle of water after that time. Breakfast was chaotic, and there were big queues at the cooked egg counter. However you could fill up on bread, cheese and pastries. The place had an air of faded glamour but it now seems to be run on a shoe string- shortage of crockery, thin towels, dilapidated sun loungers. On the positive side, the room and double bed were large, there was a fridge in the room, you could get CNN on the TV, the curtains were really thick and kept the early morning light out, there was always hot water and the grassed pool area was a little oasis from the madness of Marrakech. The restaurant was OK , .Taxis waited outside the hotel to get into the city.. For the price is as reasonable it was just a pity that if you were English you weren't made to feel welcome and the few English people we spoke to there felt the same.. Read more

Kenzi Semiramis is simply an excellent hotel to stay. The best thing I like about it is the balcony and the wonderful view you get of the outside world. Would seriously recommend it.

This is a big, well-equipped hotel with spacious rooms. The breakfast was good, and when we ate in the restaurant the food was OK and reasonably priced. We could have left the balcony window open, but were not sure about the insect situation. The phone in our room did not work, nor did the TV remote control. The mini-bar was empty and had not been defrosted in a long time. There was no facility for making coffee in the room, and no iron. These little things did not really matter, but they certainly stop this hotel from being rated as excellent. It's a long way outside the medina. I would go for one a bit closer next time. This has the potential to be an outstanding hotel, but needs a bit more attention to detail and a slightly more relaxed way of dealing with its guests. But it's good value, and we had a good time! The hotel staff were unbelievable kind and helpful! I had forgotten my credit card and had no cash for our 4-day trip! The hotel let us eat and drink whatever until money could be wired to me...they were understanding and sweet at a moment when I was ready to freak out and thought the holiday might be ruined! My son broke a bowl/ashtray in the room […] and the cleaning woman came quickly to vacuum the small pieces and give us a new one and all with a smile on her face! The man in charge of sports and activities at the pool took my kids under his wings and played games with them as they were the only teenagers there at that time. It also has monetry exchange facilities but limited the amount you could change. The hotel is situated a bit further than we would have prefered. This was my first travel to Morroco and we had a fantastic time. The Hotel was about 20mins drive from the airport. The hotel arranged to pick us up as this was included in the price. Most of the staff were very friendly and some do speak English although main language spoken is Arabic & French. The rooms were BIG and clean. bathroom/toilet excellent. […] there was also a fridge with drinks too. The power supply is 2pin(not3), if you ask the receptionist they'll give a 3pin adaptor. The Hotel has a very pleasent surrounding with palm trees and my kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. And the breakfast was great. This was a buffea and so much to eat. The Hotel is about 1mile away from the famouse town square (Jemaa l-fna), so you'll need to catch a taxi. overall we were very happy with the hotel and would definatly return back. Read more

The hotel was in a good location, away from the main square (about 15 minutes by taxi costing approx £2). There were lots of nice resteraunts and cafes nearby. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well presented. The swimming pool was large and there were always plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast was nice, there was lots of variety and […] there were 2 cooks on hand, 1 making fresh pancakes and the other making eggs, omlettes, etc. There is a safe in the room but you have to pay extra to use it (approx £2 per day). You will also be charged a tax when you leave the hotel, it was approx £2.50 per person per day, we were expecting these costs as they are clearly stated on the Expedia website before you book. Just returned Monday 4th October 2010. A nice hotel in a quiet location. Travelled out of the summer season so it wasn't too full, which was nice. It was advertised as a 5 star hotel but I would rate it more as a good standard 3 star hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the cleaning ladies were friendly and helpful. The pool loungers and mats […] were a little old and could have done with replacing (2 star hotel standard). Most people at this hotel were retired couples and the occasional young couple with babies. Yet for some reason the pool attendants kept turning up their music really loud. Even when sitting away from the pool side it was difficult to read and my husband asked them to turn it down on one occasion. They happily obliged, but within one hour it was back up again. On one evening we were discussing with the concierge at the reception on which restaurant to go to that evening.Upon choosing, he then offered to ring a reservation for us. However when checking out at the end of our holiday we discovered we had been charged a few pence for this call. Certainly not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Overall though a pleasant hotel with friendly staff. I have ticked that I would recommend this hotel. But I would certainly make people aware that it wasn't 5 star standard. If the hotel sorted out the pool loungers and music I would be more enthusiastic about my recommendations and re think my view on the star rating. Read more

Nous venons de passer un super sejour dans cet hotel, merci a Samir pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse. L'hotel est au calme et a quelques minutes du centre de Marrakech en taxi, compter 3 euros la course en taxi . Les repas sont variés et le petit dejeuner tres copieux, une mention aux crepes faites sur place par une gentille marrokaine.
