"Wonderful location in the Little Tokyo district do"
Pleasant Little Tokyo was great the staff went out of their way to be helpful great overall experienceGenuine Expedia guest review
"bad customer service"
Last time I stayed here I was given free valet parking. This time I was not. I even asked if giving a little courtesy to a returning customer was possible, to which the answer was no. Little things like that go a long way in the mind of a customer. Will not be staying here again. Hope making that extra $20 off valet was worth losing future stays from […] a customer, Miyako. Hotel was very friendly, clean and comfortable. Valet Parking was awesome for 20 bux in and out. Would go there anytime again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very convenient location and very good priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice little hotel in little tokyo"
great location. friendly staff. had a good 5 day stay there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel centrally located, pleasant staff"
They were very accommodating and the fee for a very late checkout was reasonable. Because I checked in at 6am and left for work at 6pm there was a mixup with housekeeping who did not clean the room before I came back at 6am the next morning. Hopefully they will resolve situations like this.Genuine Expedia guest review
No complaints. We stayed one night, staff was cheerful and courteous. Room was clean and quiet. Couldn't ask for more for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A gem of a hotel on the fringe of downtown"
Renovated room, fast wireless service. Treat yourself to the spa, it was wonderful.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is my second time to stay at this wonderful hotel. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating to their guests' needs. The location of the hotel cannot be beat --- situated in the very heart of Little Tokyo which is home to countless Japanese restaurants and shops. It is also near downtown Los Angeles' other attractions such as Union […] Station, City Hall, Angels; Flight, Chinatown, etc. I will not hesitate to book this hotel again for my future trips to L.A. "near court house"
I needed to stay close to the court house and wanted to find a nice clean and safe hotel to stay at with my infant son that was not ridiculously priced. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Was able to leave my car in their parking while I went to court and able to walk to court. which was only a few short blocks up the street. On my walk to court […] there was a starbucks. Grabbed my coffee on my walk and felt very safe the entire time. But the hotel also has a little "starbucks" like cafe with muffins, drinks and such... If I ever have to go back to court with my X again will stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"STAY AT LITTLE TOKYO"
THIS HOTEL LOCATED AT GOOD LOCATION, NICE PLACE AND PARKING WAS NOT BAD AT ALL.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location is top notch"
I have stayed at the Miyako Hotel on several occasions-- when I am in LA for business, I love the proximity to downtown and the Fashion District. The staff is friendly & efficient ---- desk clerks, and Conceirge were very pleasant and accommodating. and the price is decent......my only suggestion would be a few upgrades...like fresh paint in the bathroom […] and hallways. The room was very clean, linens high quality and bedding superb. I always have an amazing night sleep here. So it's not really anything that impacts my stay, & I'd stay here again.....I just love thenambience of fresh paint! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for Union Station Departures"
I stayed here because it was close to Union Station and I had a morning train to catch. Easy 10 minute walk to the station from here. No traffic to fight with! I was only here about 8 hours, but it seemed like a nice place. Comfy rooms, polite staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Take the train in LA"
This was a pleasant stay and very close to Union Station LA. Really worked for me.Genuine Expedia guest review
Just an overnight stay but worked very well for our needs. Maybe just needs some aesthetic improvements, otherwise a nice place and staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We especially enjoyed the soft bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When we checked in the room was very warm. I had to call twice for someone to come fix the air conditioning. Also, they left bottles of water, but charged $1.00/each for them!Genuine Expedia guest review
"easy in and out"
Our room was shabby...needed a paint and carpet makeover...otherwise the hotel is in a great location and easy access for car valet and getting to and from room, Norm and SueGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kind of shabby , not 4 stars for sure"
The beds were comfortable enough but that's about all I really liked about the whole thing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night in L A"
Location is fine. The ventilation in the room was poor, as was the lighting in the bathroom, which made it a challenge to shave. The room itself is ordinary. The price for such a room is too high.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice and Comfortable"
Great location, clean rooms, good views, comfortable. In short, everything you need when you're not aiming at staying in your room all day. Parking was expensive but this is LA, so not outrageous. One gripe I had was, while they charged for the "extra person", which really means three people in a room with two queen beds, they didn't provide enough […] toiletries for three! But again, overall, a rather pleasant experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was close to where I needed to be. The first thing I noticed when I walked in my room was the big stain in the middle of the carpet just a few feet inside the door. It was a place to sleep.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Solid 3 Star Place"
The rooms are average, clean but in need of updating. The furniture has obvious wear and tear. The lack of power outlets was also a bit annoying. That being said, it was good for a one night business stay and conveniently located near many great Japanese restaurants. No complaints about the friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Problems with the check in time. 1.15 h waiting"
We stay for one night the Saturday April 26. We arrive at 15:00 p.m. and the room was not ready. The reception people ask for waiting 15 minutes but they were not very hurry. We go out for lunch and after 1 HOUR we return for the check in at 16:10 and they tell me again that we need wait 15 minutes more.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice hotel, but skip the food"
Clean and quiet hotel and relatively convenient to downtown meetings. My only complaint was with the restaurant/room service. They didn't seem to have anyone who understood English, got the order wrong (chicken instead of salmon -- which I didn't realize until the server left), and the food was mediocre at best. I recommend walking around the corner […] to one of the other restaurants! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent rate and nice room"
Just realize you are in LA and always subject to the chaos of the city. Upon arrival the staff was helpful and polite. When we arrived in our room we opened the drapes and bore witness to the chaos of the city. While casting our gaze upon the skyline our attention suddely focused on the activity on the adjacent top floor parking structure. Apparently […] two socially clueless products of the LA Unified School District choose to make a semipublic spectacle by fornicating in front of the entire upper floors on the West side of the building. Other than the previously stated National Geographic type activity occuring the hotel was fine. The restaurant was very good. Many selections of cold sake as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel, just keep the drapes closed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to federal court house"
For business at the federal court house, the location is wonderful. The bed and pillows were exceptional. The overall cleanliness was good, but some minor upkeep was lacking. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The lounge offers little entertainment and for some reason charges to sit at the table and chair but not at the bar. There are plenty […] of restaurant offerings nearby and we did not stay long enough to experience many. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The worst choice i ever made"
The room was dark no ac on the bell boy just dropped my luggage in front f the door The staff was creepy ,if you ask a question they would first look at each other and then think of a answer the bell boy is also the receptionist and the cleaner The bed was full of bed mid i stood up in the morning with a itchy skinGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great place to stay in Downtown LA"
This is a great hotel to stay if visiting Little Tokyo or a Dodger game. We took a cab to the game and went out for drinks after in Little Tokyo. A nice hotel with a great staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is first time with my family at little Tokayo Nice and good ^^Genuine Expedia guest review
"I'll be back"
I enjoyed every aspect of the stay, including the proximity to LA public transportation that got me everywhere I needed to go for next to nothing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
15 min walk from red line metro "civic center", highly convenient to go visit Universal Studios. Starbucks 2 min away for breakfast. Within Little Tokyo so no problem getting sushis or ramens. Personnel is nice, rooms are ok but the bathroom could be better. Valet parking works fine but i would not recommend the restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Serviceable base camp for staying in Little Tokyo"
The lobby is really nice but the floor our room was on (6) could have used some updating. Great free wi-fi; only available outlet for our chargers was in the bathroom. Hotel bar was fun and they had an amazing sesame hard liquor.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was overall pretty nice. First impression was the hotel lobby which is simple but nice front desk service was everything I could've asked for. However the room and bathroom could use an update or two and the room windows were filthy. But the stay was quiet and nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My favorite downtown hotel"
Lovely hotel, great location, incredibly helpful and kind staff Rooms are soothing I only wish there were a bit better lighting in room in the eve for easier reading :-) This is my favorite hotel in Downtown Los AngelesGenuine Expedia guest review

"Positive experience, good hotel"
Hotel staff was helpful and courteous, hotel was clean, relaxed and comfortable atmosphereGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location and Clean Hotel"
The only problem with this hotel was the bathroom. the drain system of the faucet did not work well and pressure on the shower head was too strong. Unless they improve on this matter, I will probably not return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had to wait an hour before our room was ready when checking in at 3.p.m. We were given 2 vouchers for a continental breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience.. Location was very convenient for visiting the Japanese American Museum and walking, eating, and shopping around Little Tokyo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in the middle of Japan town"
It was great - beds were so comfy and clean! They have really nice white sheets and comforter covers—none of those yucky hotel bed covers with the ugly patterns that never get washed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Miyako is a great hotel stay near downtown LA"
Miyako Hotel is located in a quiet section of 1st Avenue in Japantown and near downtown LA. A business hotel favored by Japanese tour groups and businessmen, its rooms are generous, subtly decorated, quiet, and thoughtfully supported by a diverse staff. Breakfast at Miyako completes full American options and interesting Japanese selections like smoked […] fish and sushi rice. Across the street is amazing ramen at Daikokuya...nearby are the gates of a beautiful temple and around the corner is a Japantown mall with products, a market, and an amazing little japanese bakery. The Geffen Museum and Japanese Cultural Center are nearby. PS Hot tip: Immediately next to the hotel's valet parking is a very reasonable and safe public parking garage. Check it out. "definitely not for pregnant women"
The hotel had a unique location a nice lobby and the right idea, however the end result was very disappointed, my wife is 6months pregnant and we were looking location and cleanliness. . Fist thing we noticed was the carpet poor condition...and the entire floor smelled and felt like a spa, the reality is that for the price we were expecting a lot more […] peace of mind. "Clean, friendly stay in downtown LA"
I arrived early, but my room was ready; staff extremely pleasant and a very good Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor. Walking distance to the Disney Concert Hall, which was our main mission in LA.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent. Very comfortable bed and plenty of space in bedroom and bathroom for 2 adults and 2 children. Next to really good Japanese restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms REALLY need to be updated. Even the hallways had peeling wallpaper and dirty paint and carpet. Would not stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good downtown stay"
Great location, clean and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Everything worked well. No nickel and dimiming over wifiGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for business travel"
The hotel is older in structure, but the rooms and lobby are very modern. The hotel staff oozed Japanese hospitality! I was worried about booking any hotel in downtown LA because I don't know the area. I would definitely stay at the Miyako again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the miyako is an elegant hotel, well situated in downtown, walkeable from railway station and most downtown landmarks. One thing they lack is PBS or news station on the TV, as very few channels. Our advice: do not have breakfast at the coffee bar in their lobby - lousy croissants, lousy coffee, and plastic utensils. we know this is not run by hotel, […] but a classy hotel should chose a better concessionary.
