"Clean affordable comfort"
This is a Mom & Pop run Days' Inn franchise. I look for these motels because I've found them more reliably clean and up to snuff than others. The gentleman who owns it could not have been nicer when we checked in. It is not the most up to date facility in Taos, I am sure, but the parking lot is clean, the carpets vacuumed and there are no funky odors. […] The rooms are spartan but pleasant - no closets but hangar racks for coats & clothing. The mattress was firm & comfortable, the linens super clean, as was the bathroom floor, toilet & shower. Everything in the room worked. There is a coffeepot and coffee & a hairdryer. The breakfast area was clean & fully stocked with the usual continental breakfast choices. No awards for the coffee. The motel is located on south Rt. 68 on the way out of Taos, a mile & a half from the Plaza. Choices for restaurants start a couple hundred yards north. Nice place to pull into at the end of a long day on the road, and one that is NOT on the Bedbug Registry. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"all things considered"
Although this was not the kind of hotel I would ever book for my wife it was just what I wanted. An inexpensive place to stay in Taos. Carpet and furnishings this old never look clean but the sheets ,towels and all other surfaces were clean. The room had adequate pillows and the bed was comfortable. The TV worked fine. I never tried the AC because the […] weather was beautiful. The window was screened and worked well. They were clear about their rules of no good in the rooms, no pets without notice, and no smoking. In a place this old those kind of practices can quickly deteriorate a facility so I understand. The staff was cordial if not friendly. All in all a fair price for the room and acceptable limits to quality based on the price. I would do it again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was very disappointing. The bathroom vanity was very small, the chairs were soiled, the tv was not a flat screen, there was only one pkg of regular coffee for two people. Minimal towels. The breakfast was very disappointing. There was very little variety as there was only bread for toast... no bagels, no Danish rolls, no boiled eggs. Nothing […] substantial. Coffee was weak...lighter than tea. Decaf canister was not filled by 6:20 am. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A llittle out of the way but away from the noise"
Best bed I have slepped on in any of the Best Westerns so far on one night stays, this week, The hotel is older, not as fancy but everything works. The staff (husband and wife) were really great in telling where to find places in Taos. Most people would drive by this place because it is not in the "Hot Area" of Taos. It is on the south side of town […] and it is quiet, they have "Blue Collar" clients but these guys know where the best places to stay for comfort and to be treated well are. The breakfast is not a fancy spread but it is good for the size of the hotel. Every once in a while you find a diamond in the rough and this is one of them, people have diven them not so good reviews as they were wanting a fancy 4 star hotel, at the price you pay for a night here it is worthing not paying for things that you don't use Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Place to Stay while enjoying a Family Reunion"
The location was a great spot. The area was quiet and you did not hear your fellow visitors which was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Started bad, ended bad!"
First we called the hotel after reaching Taos only to be hung up on while trying to get directions. Lastly, the hotel has two tables in the breakfast area for the guests to have their breakfast. Also, we loved all the signs posting the 100 dollar fee if you smoke in the room, have a pet in the room, or if you can't get a seat for breakfast and take […] it to the room! The name Days Inn implies a certain standard. Not in this case! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We are amokers. We understand there is no smoking in the rooms. The man work the night we checked in made it a point to come outside and tell us there is no smoking in the room. That it would be a hundred dollars if we did. We are not little kids and should have not been talked to that way. If I ever go back to Toas NM I would not stay in that Days […] Inn. "this place was a major disappointment."
there were abandoned mattresses in the back lot where we parked, both on the parking lot and up against a shed. The television was incredibly old and out of date...there was no space to put your things around the sink, and overall this place was not what i expected for a days inn. There were signs allover telling you not to take breakfast to your room […] etc. IT was not friendly nor hospitable, and one of the 4 other people staying there commented that it was the first time she had experienced such an empty days inn. I think I know the reason why! I would not stay here again, nor would i recommend that anyone else stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I was in Taos on blue collar business, and this Days Inn was just what I needed. The price was right, clean room, comfortable bed, and easy access.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel provides the basics for a good price. But what makes it a good deal is the very helpful and nice front desk staff who recommended a wonderful restaurant that had good food at good prices and was always helpful to answer questions.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good cheap, clean room."
This was the cheapest place for a room during Spring break weekend. At 65 a night, during spring break, in a resort town, I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. Bare bones but clean, convenient to Taos Ski Valley and cheap. If you are expecting the Hyatt you will be disappointed. Set your expectations accordingly and you will be plea […] sed. Overall we are very happy with our stay. The room with 2 Queen beds are spacious for 2 adults & 2 kids. Location is convenient to Sipapu & TSV ski areas. Breakfast is decent. Just overall a great value - for amenities & the pricing. We will definitely consider returning again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price"
Friendly staff. It is on the outside of old town but not in a bad neighborhood so not as fun, but was a good place to crash after a day skiing and just close the drapes and sleep hard. Breakfast was meh. If I have one more waffle from those machines.... ugh.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Day trip to Taos"
First I was reluctant to this Motel, but my one night stay at this place changed my views. Excellent and very friendly staff and very clean and peaceful rooms impressed me. I would definitely stay here again and again and recommend anyone visiting Taos to not ignore this place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy to get to. On main highway through town"
VERY strong scent of air freshener (?) when entered room. Had to open windows in February. Towels from previous occupant hanging on back of bathroom door. Breakfast included but pretty meager, unless you are a fan of fruit loops.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A return to Taos to ski"
Honestly, I originally booked this hotel when I thought I wouldn't be seeing a long time friend from the area. When I did get a hold of my friend I then couldn't back out of my hotel stay which I'd just committed to a day earlier. I agreed to a non refundable rate which in all fairness wasn't that cheap. So, had to use the three nights there or lose […] them! , just used the hotel to sleep and bathe. location was close to town and a manageable drive to the ski resorts. room was clean. only ate a small continental breakfast my final morning there before heading out. couldn't find anyone to give me more waffle batter. it was like I was the only one in the hotel all three nights?? heater in room wouldn't turn off by itself (broken thermostat?) after getting to a certain temperature so had to turn it off manually each night or would've roasted. didn't think to complain because I was hardly there. "Christmas Day at Days Inn"
It was a very comfortable, clean, quiet, and welcoming stay. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good continental breakfast- enough variety for diverse type of eating tastes. Great waffles! :-) It was a bit far from what we had planned, but yet the town isn't very big, so the drive wasn't all that far. It was however, very close to […] a couple of the highlights of our trip-- the Rancho de Taos Church and the Hacienda de los Martinez!!! Keep up the good work! I was the only guest in the whole hotel. Kind of creepy. I guess this would tell you that nobody else wanted to stay there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't waste your time or money"
The only good thing I can say is that the bed mattress was comfortable. The hotel clerk was unable to communicate in English. The facility was old and run down. The room door was difficult to latch and several times the maids left the door open. Shampoo was made available but no conditioner, soap or toilet paper. There was little outdoor security lighting. […] Breakfast was not edible. We had to go out for a decent breakfast every morning. The TV channel listing in the room showed three times as many channels as the old TV actuall got. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I would not have stayed at this hotel if it had not been prepaid. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the price"
I made last minute reservation here which made the price higher than usual, but I was totally disappointed once I got there. There were several other nicer (MUCH nicer) hotels to stay at in Taos that don't cost nearly as much.Genuine Expedia guest review
Most expensive room on a 3 State vacation & the worst Hotel.Com should check these places before booking. Will never use you again & certainly not recommend your service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The television reception was poor. I only watched TV in the evening when I relaxed and one night you got reception and the next night the channel was not available. The bed had only one overhead light which meant everyone slept on that side and the mattress was overused on that side.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pleasant, quiet, basic, big rooms. Good value for the money. Much cheaper than hotels in Taos with more atmosphere.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Place needs a facelift."
We reserved this room, sight unseen. Had we driven by, we would not have stopped. Plant pots outside held trash and weeds. Took quite a while for the desk person to get to the front desk when we arrived. The room was okay, but upon further inspection, a picture on the wall had a broken plastic clear cover and what looked like blood splatters on the […] wall near the picture. We just ignored it - but it made me feel uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi never did work. The soda and water machine in the hall was empty. The ceiling in the hall had a big hole and looked as though they had a recent leak from a pipe. We noticed that in our 3-night stay, we were usually the only people staying at the hotel. It seemed as though the owner-managers were having a hard time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
