Everything was fine I was just there to sleep. The motel attended was very nice as always. I have stayed here before.

We would not stay again. They said they had continental breakfast, but it was really bad, plus they didn't even have a place to sit down to eat. No trays to take anything back to room. They took out the coffee pots in the rooms & we had to ask for a wash cloth. Bad, bad, bad.

I normally am not one to complain since I am not really picky. However, this hotel had the following issues: 1. The remote control didn't match the TV and therefore, didn't work. 2. The shower didn't drain and left us standing in ankle deep water. 3. The towel rack was clearly coming off the wall, so why didn't the hotel maintenance staff fix it. 4. […] The carpet was not vacuumed (or at least didn't look like it to me). 5. When we arrived, the room we were assigned to was not made up (it was a disaster!) and we had to ask for another. 6. The second day I was there, we were given one towel..for the both of us. When I went to the front desk to ask for another, the front desk person said she had to "...go down to the dungeon to get one". She did bring it to our room, which was nice of her, and I believe she was trying to do her best, but I think that was TMI. Who wants to hear that the hotel you are staying at has a "dungeon"? The good news: The hotel gave complimentary newspapers... and I got one complimentary newspaper the two days I was there. Overall, this was a cheap hotel, and I realize you get what you pay for, but I didn't get what I paid for here. I can understand the old building, the lack of updating, etc, but the lack of attention to the little things added up and really left me little choice but to give a bad review.. the first time I've ever taken the time to do so for a hotel. Room 110 - couldn't turn shower off to take a bath, but used the shower to fill the tub, then took my bath. no safety lock/latch on door, missing. Room 104 - couldn't plug fridge in. All in all, nice for the one night stay we needed. Convenient to Amtrak, but a shuttle to Amtrak would have made our lives a whole lot better.

If you can get in for the right price, it is a great deal. Prepare to listen to lots of road noise. Don't count on the breakfast being ready at 6:30, or 6:45.

Comfortable room, parking lot not suited for motorcycles, post your own mail as the staff didn't post as promised for almost two weeks after two phone calls inquiring where was the mail. Location was close to services and staff was knowledgable of area.

I read the reviews for this hotel prior to booking. I was very satisfied with the room and the hotel staff. I'm not quite sure which continent they are taking their spin of a continental breakfast from.....but soggy english muffins, strawberry newton, bread, juice a continental breakfast is not. Not a big deal breaker for me....

I have stayed in MANY low dollar hotels before, without much to complain about. I feel that you get what you pay for. THIS place though, nasty will not cover it, at ALL. When I got to my room, the carpet was a sea of dead bugs. I asked the maid outside my room if she could run a vacuum in it for me, she told me to talk to the front desk. It's an older Bldg and the rooms are older and outdated. But be very careful, our bed had bed bugs. The guest afront of me was complaining about itching and her daughter is full of bite marks. When I mentioned our story to the Manager on duty, she said my case is different because we actually showed her the bed bugs that we killed with a kleenex but […] the guest before me were mosquitos. The rooms was very cold when I arrived (it had a strange location with three outside walls). The heater was so old that all the markings on it were gone, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to turn the heat on. It took half of the night for the room to warm up and even in the morning the bathroom was very cold. The room had all sorts of odd smells, […] somebody definitely smoked in it and the fridge smelled as if something died there. The furniture looked like from a yard sale, it was oddly mismatched (the bed was four inches from the table with no chair) and the bed had blood stains on the side of the bed. I believe that they actually cleaned the room (bathroom in particular) pretty well, but everything is just so old, that it does not fix the problems. The bedding was very uncomfortable, soft mattress, flimsy pillows, very old and thin blanket. The breakfast was sort of what you would expect, English muffins, butter, jam, pop-tarts. This hotel isn't anything fancy, but it's clean, safe and convenient. We have stayed here two different times. All that we needed was a cheap place to sleep, shower and get out the door to spend many more hours in the car. Breakfasts are basic, but we aren't big breakfast eaters. Good place, conveniently located.

I was only in town because it was the closest station at which I could catch a train from Ashland to Portland. The train station is located across town from the Econo Lodge, a 20-30 min walk when taking the main street (which I did to get to the motel), a little less if you can navigate the side ones (which I did when leaving the motel). Both check-in and check-out hotel concierge desk attendants were frequently leaving their posts to attend to other motel business. A wakeup call was requested, and never received. The rooms light did not work. We only had light if we left the bathroom door open. And the bathroom fan did not work, when you took a shower you had to open the door or it was just way to steamy. I probably would not stay at this motel again.

Our bathroom counter was peeling apart. The shower was also pretty bad. The fridge made a racket, as did the air conditioner. The bed was uncomfortable. However, the hotel was reasonably clean. I'd say spend the extra $20 to stay elsewhere.

The bathtub was very dirty. I told my husband in the morning, the tub was dirty, looked like it had not been cleaned for months. He said maybe they just have hard water. I said no its more then that.
