"Best Hotel in Brussels"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The hotel staff, the room size, the amenities, bed comfort all contributed to an excellent stay. This is the first time I stayed at a Thin it will definitely not be my last. Club membership is all top notch.

"Perfect Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
It was perfect hotel, everything was like a new. The location was close to Grand Place, about twenty minutes of walk. Breakfast was very fancy. I had nice Illy cappuccino, a baguette with prosciutto and many other tasty goodies. The bed and a pillow was just perfect.
"great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The location was excellent- and my room was quiet. The room was very nice, clean, and modern with everything I could have needed EXCEPT a couple of English language TV channels. My associate had a Double room and his had more channels including BBC. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again.
"Good Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 29, 2012
This hotel is in a good location for visiting the attractions of Brussels and location near the train station and metro. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The neighborhood is nice and offers restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
see all hotels in Brussels"Loud, rude front desk clerks"
We checked in and were given a room the heat was on and it was boiling hot. We called the front desk to have them turn it down and/or assist with the thermostat. Male attendant was rude, told us he was the only one there and did not know how to work it and that we either had to open the inside window (which was the foyer to the lobby) or move to a noisy […] room that was cool. Either way was LOUD and MISERABLE. The toilet was so close to the sink you had to squeeze in and hope you were able to squeeze back out. Then they tried to collect some additional city tax $13 euros per person per night!!! Read more
"Right on a main street, close to mannequin pis"
Hotel had a good breakfast and had a computer in the lobby with free internet. Close to metro, also. Like many of the hotels I've stayed in Belgium, the rooms tend to stay too warm.
"Hotel should be called Mold"
This hotel is in great location. Needs lots of renovation. There is lots of mold behind walls, plus hotel didn't accomodate my needs. I wanted non-smoking room. We have had to stay in smoking room. I wouldn't recommend or stay in the hotel.
"Excellent hotel just down the block from Borse"
The Eurostars Grand Place hotel is an excellent, medium sized hotel with modern rooms and quality furnishings. The hotel is situated between the Borse and Annessens stops on the Metro system and a short walk to the center of the old town. There are lots of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs in the area as well as grocery stores. The front door is glass […] and locked in the evening so the desk clerk has to buzz you in. I thoroughly enjoyed my four days there using the hotel as a base to visit Brussels and other nearly sights. Breakfast wasn't included in my rate so I went to nearby bakeries for a continental breakfast. Definitely will consider staying here in the future. Read more
"Overall OK"
Air conditioning not working most of the time during our stay week of 9/25, and inner rooms windows open into enclosed middle of hotel so no fresh air there. Rooms that face the street (Anspach) are better. Another issue is that their double beds are just two separate beds pushed together. Hotel is close to Metro and Grand Place only few blocks away, […] so pretty convenient. So if you get it at decent price it's OK overall. Read more
"Brussels Hotel"
Good location on main boulevard. Noisy if on the street side. Parking is nearby in a parking garage, otherwise it is hard to find a space. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was extra and costly but on Sundays, other places are closed so eating at the hotel is easiet. I would recommend it.

"Quite good for a short stay"
We enjoyed our one night stay at Eurostars Grand Place -. It was small, quiet, and clean. We loved the convenient location - very close to Grand Place, However, the Avenue which it was located on was a bit shady. If I were a female traveling alone, I would not have felt entirely comfortable walking around at by myself at night. The room was mall, […] but comfy and clean. We were asked upon arrival if we wanted a twin room or a queen. Initially, we said queen, but I rememebered some reveiws which I had read that said the rooms facing the court yard are not as nice as the ones facing the Avenue, so I asked, and we choose the twin room facing the Street. I am really glad we did, because we had a lovely Romeo balcony, which we enjoyed, and got some nice pictures on. The beds were pushed together, so it didnt matter anyway! the only thing I would note, was that the toilet was facing the wall, and was quite close to it! Luckily hubby and I are short, because we dont know how a tall person would manage! Sideways I guess!! Other than that, it was a good place to saty! Read more
"Good for business, not for leisure"
Hotel was clean and comfortable inside. Location was convenient to train station and Grand Place, but the neighborhood left a lot to be desired. Our walk from the train station to the hotel gave us a very bad first impression of Brussels. I would stay here for business, but for pleasure I would stay south of the train station if possible. The staff […] at the hotel were amoung the only pleasant people we encountered in Brussels. If traveling for pleasure, just skip Brussels and head over to Bruges. Read more
"Good location, small room, hard bed, Free wifi"
The free wifi was great. Signal in our room was strong. Rooms are quite small and the bed was very hard. Staff was fine and rooms very clean. Convenient to subway, trains.
"Only if you enjoy sleeping in a sauna"
The hotel location was fine - right on the main boulevard (Anspach) and near the Bourse metro station. The lobby of the hotel was impressive, and they allowed me early check-in. My problem was the temperature of the room - very, very hot. And this was in March, when the outside temperature was not very hot. The room had a window that only opened into […] the atrium, which was also very hot. The thermostat in my room was set to maximum cool, with a target temperature of 0 C. There was a small amount of air blowing from the vent, but the room did not cool at all. The front desk agent advised me to wait an hour - no change. By that time, the hotel was fully booked and I could not change my room. I looked out my window to other rooms that fronted on the atrium, and many had their windows open. This added noise to the room, but no comfort from the heat. Read more

"Great Staff, Close to sights"
Staff was very helpful. Close to Mannequin Pis & only 15 minute walk to Cantillon Brewery. Beds were hard that was my only complaint.
"Convenient location-Brussels"
Within walking distance of Grand Place. I chose this because it was right across the street from my daughter's apt. The first night I had a room that overlooked the atrium. The room was very, very warm and I had to turn the heat off. Avoid the rooms opening to the lobby as the noise level is quite high in the Am during the breakfast. The breakfast was […] wonderful, eggs, cereal, pastries, juice, coffee in a very nice room. The hotel graciously moved me to a room overlooking the street which was quite lovely for the remaining 2 nights I stayed. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The hotel is very clean and reasonable priced. I was able to book online at Hotels.com even though the hotel web site said no rooms were available. Read more
"Great Hotel"
This hotel is simple and in a convenient spot in downtown Brussels. The woman at reception let us check in early. The room was clean and simple (no hidden surprises). The shower was a little awkward with the way you had to stand because of the way the shower head was mounted on the wall. But overall it was clean and convenient. Definitely no hidden […] surprises. The hotel was clean and close to Grand Place and other tourist attractions. The air-conditioner did not work well. The toilet in the bathroom was in a tight corner and therefore somewhat difficult to use. But otherwise it is a very decent option given its location.
"Perfect Hotel for Quick Stay (and extended)"
We had a 19 hour layover and chose this hotel based on reviews of its central location. It was the perfect spot to really maximize exploring during our short stay. We walked, ate, drank, shopped and leisurely strolled around the main sites. And after arriving after an overnight flight, the service couldn't have been better. I would definitely stay here […] again. Read more
"Europe July 2010"
This hotel was pretty sweet, except for the AC. It is about a 10-15 min walk from the Midi train station or two stops on the Metro (Anspach?). Close to the Grand Place and there is a laundromat close by (next block over going towards the Grand Place) that you can wash and dry a full load of laundry for about 5 euro, which certainly beats the 10 euro […] price the hotel charges to wash one pair of jeans. Cantillon Brewery is close (lemon...something, stop on the metro going back toward the Midi station) which brews traditional Lambic beers. The brewery museum in the Grand Place is busted, don't waste your time. Read more
"Overall good hotel."
Nice appearing hotel, but AC did not cool well... which was an issue as the temperature was over 85 F while we were there. Also, breakfast was 30 Euro per person in hotel for buffet. Needless to say we did not eat at the hotel. There was a great option right next door for less than 5 Euro a person. The desk spoke english and helpful, but was not very […] informed about events going on in town. WiFi worked well. Location was convenient to Grand Place (5min walk). Read more
"Very good location"
It was my first time in Bruxelles and I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is very good, close to the station (3 stops away) and close to the Bourse as well as the Grand Place. The only problem we had was that we asked for a quite room and they gave us one facing the inner courtyard which was very quite but way too warm......it was impossible […] to reduce the temperature and this caused a little bit of problems, but beside this I would go back again. The people working there were also very nice. Read more
"A good balance of price, location, quality"
My friend and I enjoyed this hotel. Reasonably close to the Grand Place, quite nice inside, and a very helpful staff, at reasonable prices considering what you get. A good deal.
"Good location"
The hotel was safe and clean. It was close to many tourist attractions and restaurants. It was a short walk to Grand Place and several museums. Our room was quiet on the courtyard side. The bed was a little firm for our liking. I would recommend taking a taxi or the subway to the train station (subway is cheaper). We would stay here again.
"hard mattress"
for the price, it was fin, but the mattress was hard and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. the location was convenient, very close to the grand place
"Great Stay"
I am frequent traveler to Brussels and i know the area well. This hotel is center of everything, few blocks from grand palaces and shopping, a block from metro , restaurants etc. Service was great, room very clean, hardwood floor,i stayed away from breakfast it was expensive. i have stayed at this hotel twice. i highly recommended
"Nice location, nice hotel"
This is a nice hotel located 5 minutes from Grand Place in Brussels and about a 15 minute walk from Gare Central. For the most part the staff were nice and helpful. The room is nothing special, but large enough and the bathroom is fine. The hotel is clean. Of note, on the 3rd floor they had an issue with some of the hallway walls and were in the […] process of repairing them, but this did not smell or cause any disruption. Read more
"Perfect location"
Very good. Brilliant location
"Eurostars Grand Place"
Usefully close to the main tourist sites including metro and bus. Clean and functional but no bar as one would expect to see. No restaurant, room (twin) small and dark, but quiet. Have to wait on street whilst reception opens electric door. Would not stay here again.

"Good location, hot rooms"
Stayed in a double room for 3 nights. Was initially offered a room facing the atrium (inwards). This room was incredibly hot and stuffy. The air conditioning did not work and there was no real way to relieve the temperature, in spite of the window being open. The following day, we were moved to a room with a balcony facing the many road. This was much […] better, though we still had to keep a window open slightly. Location-wise, the hotel is ideal. "Over-rated"
This is clearly not a four star hotel. In addition to having the towel bar ripped off the wall in the bathroom, thin bath towels and a very uncomfortable bed, we were told it would not be possible to order a taxi from the hotel. Interestingly the hotel did order a taxi for another guest. There is really nothing to recommend this hotel.
"Eurostars on Anspach"
I stayed at Eurostars Grand Place on business for two nights. All in all I'm happy with the hotel, and the price I got via hotels.com was really good value, but the 2nd floor room they gave me (where I slept the first night) was intolerably warm. I literally couldn't sleep because of the temperature. It must have been around 27-28 degrees Celcius, and […] since the window opened to the inner "yard" of the hotel, it was no use opening it, it only made the room really noisy but not any cooler. So when staying in this hotel be sure to stay on the street side of the building, where you can open the windows towards Boulevard Anspach if it gets too hot! For the second night, I had to move (which was a bit of a mess to pack everything, of course) and got a really nice room on the 5th floor. It wasn't too noisy even facing the Anspach boulevard, and the air temperature was just perfect. Otherwise very pleasant stay - nice personnel, neat rooms, comfortable bed, good breakfast, a super handy location. Read more

Very pleasant hotel, great atmosphere, clean room. Excellent location
"Definitely Stay here... very close to Grand Place"
The Hotel and Location are fine for being close to the Grand Place. The Hotel was well presented and the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately for me at the time of my stay the air conditioning was giving problems and the room temperature was high. For most people this wouldn’t have been a problem but I don’t like being too warm. After complaining about […] it there were no other rooms available and I was offered a complimentary breakfast (which was really nice.. clean breakfast area and a good selection of food) for the inconvenience and happily accepted. Would recommend the place. Read more
"Eurostars Grand Place Brussels - Good location"
The hotel is situated in a good location close to the Grand Place and St. Catherine's Square. The rooms are quite spacious with adequate storage for clothes. The rooms are extremely warm and we were unable to leave a window open throughout the night as the noise from the street is quite loud. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there is an extremely bad […] smell in the corridor, the carpet is dirty, paper on the walls is torn in places and in general a refurbishment is necessary. Read more
"Eurostars Grand Place Hotel - hot in two ways"
The location is excellent; many of the major sights are at a walking distance. The service is good and friendly and the staff helpful. BUT the room was much too warm, even though the radiators were not hot. The air-conditioning system did not cool the air at all. The ventilator for outgoing air in the bathroom was shut, and so the room stayed damp hours […] after a shower. The only way to get fresh air was through a window to the lobby hall that also acts as a light gap for the rooms that are not facing the street. If the situation is like this in all the rooms – the air stays still – there will be a great risk for mould problems in the hotel. Read more
"On the main street"
I looked very hard for the fourth star, but could not find it. There are three star hotels that are more stylish then this one. For example Aloft. But otherwise it is ok. The biggest problem is the noise from the street. Location though is good.

"Wonderful hotel!!"
Great hotel, highli reccomended
We found the hotel absolutely perfect for our stay as we wanted somewhere central that was clean, safe and comfortable. The only negative was the type of pillows used by the hotel but they actually did have a 'pillow menu' so if I had wanted to, I could have changed the pillows but I only noticed the 'menu' the following morning.
"Hot"
The temperature in the hotel was way too high. Even with the air con on full blast it couldn't make a dent in the temperature in the room. Window didn't shut properly either.
"superb"
Friendly, clean, excellent location, great internet and very comfortable - very good value too
"Hotel close to all the must-see sights, great"
Can not be better :-) Thanks for the great location, clean room with great street view. I loved it. Some minutes walking to Eurostar train station and the old town.

"No room service as stated otherwise perfect"
My fiance and i stayed at this hotel on feb 18th for 4 nights when we arrived the reception staff were pleasant enough very helpful, the hotel was really clean and smelt beautiful throughout. Our room was nice and had everything you could need for your stay, the bathroom was lovely and had some complimentry toiletries including toothpaste and a toothbrushes, […] showergels, soaps, a comb, a shower cap and in the cupboard they had a shoe polish and a shoe horn. The television only had one english channel but this wasn't really a problem as we took our laptop and there was wi fi in your room plus we were out all the time anyway as there is plenty to do in brussels. The main purpose of our stay was because i was having surgery over there on our 3rd day and the main reason i booked this hotel was because it was supposed to have 24 room service which would of been very helpful as after my surgery i was not able to leave our hotel and needed total bed rest, however there was no room service what so ever! so its a good job i did go with my fiance as he was able to go and get us food.Really the no room service was the reason we chose this hotel and the only let down also, there is no other complaints i could make about this hotel. "Eurostars Grand Place Hotel"
Excellent location. Only 4 metro stops from Midi Station and all in walking distance (10-15 minutes) to must-see sights. The hotel was clean and the staffs were very helpful. I loved the fact that my room had wooden floor heated. I didn't have to wear socks nor shoes thanks to the warm floor. Definitely will go back to the hotel if I visit Brussels […] again. Read more
"Eurostars Grand Place- Excellent location"
Very nice hotel, great location - only 5/10 mins walk to Grand Place, metro and bus 5 mins away as well. Nice decor, comfortable couches in lobby. Room was quite nice, but the air conditioning was not very effective, room was always a bit too warm. The room looked out onto the atrium, meaning that there wasn't much natural daylight, and no fresh air […] to cool down the room. Had to leave the air conditioning on all the time to keep the room cool, even in January! I requested a double bed, but most of the double rooms in the hotel actually have 2 single beds pushed together, this was not a problem, still quite comfortable, but a little disappointing for a romantic weekend away! Overall a very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and a great location. Would definitely stay there again. Read more
