Excellent staff and accommodations with a fantastic location. Only missing a microwave! Will recommend to friends and will stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was not expecting such a great place for such a reasonable price. Except for the sound from the hall, door seemed a little thin. I could not have been more pleased. I had a king corner room with a view. I'll be back... I get to Vancouver 2 to 3 times per year. First time I have stayed at the Blue Horizon. I usually stay at the Hyatt or the Fairmo […] nt. Ours was a corner room on the thirtieth floor facing onto Robson Street. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset each of our three days. The room was very tastefully decorated--nice colors, patterns and textures. Even the art was nice. I would have preferred a reading light on both sides of the bed, but I quibble. The television was […] ceiling mounted and at a perfect angle for viewing from the bed. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating and our room was immaculately clean. This is not our first stay, and it's always been pleasurable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5 Star Location on a 3 Star Budget"
I'd read so many great reviews that I hoped, fingers crossed, that they were accurate. They were. The room was large, nice touch with the refridgerator, and the hotel breakfasts were yummy. Staff was friendly and houskeeping was spot on. I loved being on Robson Street....reminds me of Fifth Ave in New York City...tons of great shops and restaurants. […] So it truly was a 5 star location and experience on a 3 star budget. Thanks for the great experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, good hotel, no problems"
This is the only hotel I stayed in while in Vancouver, but I would estimate that it is as good as it gets downtown. The location was perfect for our vacation itinerary. Note that you will be paying extra for parking and breakfast, but that is expected in this area. You will get free WiFi, which is on my list of expectations for any 3 star hotel in this […] decade. We had no issues with the room, which had ample room and an unusual square shape. I wasn't paying top dollar, so it wasn't surprised that it was an older property which was not fully updated. I did not find the upgrade to a "superior room" to be worth the money. The view was largely blocked by the many other tall buildings a stones throw away. To conclude, I would recommend this hotel to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location is close to all must-see sights"
Our 7 night stay was very good. The location could not be better. We had stayed there before and knew about the great location. The hotel has been renovated and looks great. The room was spotless, the beds very comfortable. The coffee delicious. Besides the coffee machine there is also a tea kettle and tea for tea drinkers. The room had a desk, a dresser, […] big closet and a safe, which was very useful. The breakfast at the restaurant was good and reasonable. Lot's of coffee places and restaurants all around and a liquor store just around the corner. Last, but not least, the staff was more than accommodating and super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Room was large, lots of windows and a balcony with a great view - could see the water from our 14th floor balcony! Very comfortable. Large closet, safe for valuables. Great location - convenient to shopping, Stanley Park and MANY restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Terrific! Updated, modern, clean! Huge rooms w/ fridge, coffee makers etc. Hallways small - rooms big! Hey, someone gets it! Bathroom a little small but very nice - you don't sleep in the bathroom right? Great location - walking to all the shopping etc. Short distance to Stanley Park - beautiful! Easy parking under the hotel itself just next to the […] entrance. Super nice service. Great price for the area - what a find! Highly recommend! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A BRILLIANT FIND"
This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in all ways and I can't say enough positive about it. If you in Vancouver, this is the hotel for you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Look no further"
Great location, walking distance to everything. Loved the corner windows with views of city, water, mountains. Request higher level to appreciate views. Convenient and tasty food at downstairs café. We ate all our breakfasts there. They also have a good coffee shop in lobby. The staff was very helpful. I would stay at the Blue Horizon again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a great stay here"
The rooms were well appointed and clean, which is all you ask for. The staff always came through with the requests in a timely manner, which is also great. Only drawback is that the air conditioning is a small window unit sometimes leaves the room a little warm in the summer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved this place!"
The Blue Horizon was a great place to stay for our precruise visit to Vancouver. It's in the heart of downtown within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. It's modern and the views are spectacular.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Vacation Spot"
I was particularly pleased with this hotel. I'd read all the reviews and was a little concerned about some of the issues mentioned, but none of them came into play while we were there. The hotel front is extremely plain, so if that matters to you, don't stay here. The restaurant they were building was almost ready to be opened. I believe it was slated […] to open the week after we left. So I cannot comment on the food or service. But if you want a huge room that is extremely well appointed, then this is the hotel for you. Yes, the lobby is small, and yes they were doing construction in it, but the room itself was lovely, with plush beds and bedding. The wrap-around windows made the view phenomenal. And being able to step out on the porch to take some pictures was an absolute delight. I realize I'm hard of hearing, but we had none of the excessive noises other guests complained about. For anyone visiting the Vancouver area, I heartily recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location is great, service was exceptional."
There wan not one negative to mention at this hotel. Rooms are all corner rooms with balconies with wonderful views of the city. The room is spacious and very clean, and you are provided with very comfortable bathrobes. The hotel has a wonderful coffee bar and has just opened a lovely restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice and comfort, also the location is quite nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location and Price"
We were in town one night between cruises. The hotel was less than a mile from the Canada Place cruise terminal--a fairly easy walk even dragging our luggage. It took about 30 minutes to walk there. The room was huge and it was nice having windows on two sides and a balcony. The location was great as the street seems to come alive after dark. Fairly […] central to everything and the price was a fraction of other comparably situated hotels. We even had breakfast in the lobby restaurant, which was pretty good. We would gladly stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel, would visit again"
As soon as the lobby remodel is complete (it is supposed to be complete by the time I write this review) this hotel should be one of the best in the West End.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A pleasant room with a wonderful high-altitude view of Vancouver, in a very central location. Hotel parking was much easier than expected, extremely simple and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location on Robson Street."
The hotel restaurant & lobby were under construction so that was a bit messy but not really a big deal. There was a $15 per day charge for parking, but that is to be expected at a downtown hotel. The staff was nice as was the room. Room was quiet, clean & comfortable. Bed was very firm. Overall, a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was great, great view & we were given a free upgrade. Hotel lobby was under construction but did not distract from our stay. Location on Robson St was perfect for walking access to everything in downtown Vanc. Parking in the hotel is convenient & costs $15 per day, fairly reasonable for downtown Vancouver although we were told parking was free […] when we called the 1-800 number for hotels.com. "great place for a weekend stay"
This hotel is great! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. The location of the hotel is perfect - still in the middle of the action, but far enough from the nightclub scene to allow peace at night. All in all, an excellent place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location, Comfort, But A Business"
We visit fairly often, which raises my one disappointment. We have stayed there 12 nights in the last 6 months. Our most recent visit was delayed one day by a local emergency, but there was no relief. We were charged for the room. Loyalty may have its rewards, but not at Blue Horizon. Otherwise, nice location on Robson, a short walk to a variety of […] dining and shopping venues, ranging from hole in the wall to painfully elite. Rooms are comfortable, with a few odd features (e.g. bath door can't open/close if mat on floor). Beds in good condition. No odors. Plumbing works well. Pay-to-park. "Helpful staff, great location"
Everyone at the Blue Horizon Hotel was very helpful and the fact that major bus lines stopped out front was great. Nice hotel, love the all around windows in our room, balcony and room size is awesome too! Best of all is its proximity to Robson Street which means convenience and particularly the Japanese convenience street across the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Weekend in Vancouver"
Overall, a nice hotel for the money. The hotel seems to be have been a former condo or apartment. The room itself was clean and roomy. There was an odd smell of paint or glue in the hallway. Even a trace in the room. The bathroom was far too small. Very cramped for just one person, let alone two. The bathroom ceiling was just above my head. And I'm […] not a tall person. The water pressure was excellent. There's an ice bucket in the room, but no ice machines to found anywhere; annoying. The balcony is tiny. So don't expect to sit out there. It's just a ledge big enough to look out. The free wi-fi worked fine on my computer. No concierge at this hotel. So you'd have to book reservations yourself. The front desk was often busy and it took time just for a simple question. A bellman didn't even know where what was where; I found that odd for a person who is supposed to be living in Vancouver. The lower floors have no view. So if you want a view, you'd have to book something over 10 floors and above (and that cost more). Didn't like the fact the room had no mini-fridge. So if you bought some food or fruit during your day, there was no place to put it. We had to keep or fruit on the air conditioner (which is a window unit.) Seems outdated to have one (and they are noisy) as opposed to central air. There is a small indoor pool and gym below the lobby. It was too hot and chlorine stifling to be in there. Again, this hotel is good for a person, couple, or a family on a budget. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We very much enjoyed downtown Vancouver, especially Granville Island Market, a must visit. The hotel could have been more accommadating, like allowing a late checkout when a parade closed the street and any exit from the hotel until 4:PM. Parking is a little pricey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice for Vancouver"
My family had 4 rooms. They were clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and it was quiet. Nice small cafe in the lobby. Reasonable rates for Vancouver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A beautiful hotel - room was very spacious and nicely appointed. The view of the ocean and the city was outstanding! The beds were great - comfortable, cozy and even the pillows were good! The staff could not have been more helpful - friendly, courteous and attuned to our every need. Set us up with a tour to Victoria and provided information about other […] things around town. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver. It is close to shopping, transportation - the hop-on-hop-off bus stops right in front of the hotel - talk about convenient! "Heart of downtown with spectacular views"
I chose the hotel because it was a shuttle stop for the bus to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and because we could walk to restaurants and shopping. All the rooms are corner rooms and offer great views especially from upper floors. We arrived in Vancouver via cruise ship early in the morning. We knew our rooms would not be ready, but the hotel was able […] to store our luggage while we began sightseeing. The front desk staff was knowledgeable about things we needed to know like how long it would take to get to the bus station or the airport. The person who stored our bags remembered us on our return and went to retrieve them even before we reached the front desk to check in. The beds were comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the wi-fi worked. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very central to the West End and shopping"
I would stay at the Blue again and would recommend it to someone else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in the heart of shopping district. All shopping and dinning you need is within 1 minute walk. Tour busses and local busses to Stanly park stop right in front of hotel. 25 minute walk to Canada Center and Gastown. The walk is nice and enjoyable. A cab ride to these places cost $7.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good quality and great value!"
Very happy. My only complaint is the hotel restaurant only opens at 6:30 am. However, the breakfast was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beyond my wildest expectations"
What can I say? The room was fine and priced about right, the service was great and the hotel is centrally located. That gives Blue Horizon a five but doesn't begin to tell the story. We were in Victoria the next day and realized my wife's diamond ring was gone. We called every place we had been from Vancouver to Victoria to report the loss. The Blue […] Horizon housekeepers searched the room and found the ring. Today we drove back to Vancouver to get the ring (and yes, left a cash reward). These kinds of things are priceless and reflect on the Blue Horizon hotel and Canadians in general. How do you rate personal concern and integrity? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
