Castle Park Arcade, less than a mile north on Sepulveda Boulevard, is operated by the L.A. Department of Recreation and Parks. Behind its ivy-covered “castle” walls are three 18-hole mini-golf courses, batting cages, a video arcade, and outdoor picnic areas. The neighboring Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area offers hiking and biking trails; a nearby golf complex has two public courses.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.
Simply known as “The Valley,” this sprawling area includes the suburbs of Encino, Northridge, and Van Nuys. But Burbank is the key attraction, as several movie and TV studios are based here. Universal Studios’ theme park combines tourism with the local craft. Griffith Park provides much needed green in a city known for its smog. Nearby, the Burbank airport is an alternative to LAX.

I needed accomodations that were specific to the Sherman Oaks area but had never been there before. The Courtyard Marriott was perfect in its convenient location to the area, the price and comfort of the room, and the amenities. I would definitely go back.

My room was small, and right next to the elevator. I've stayed in this hotel before and this must have been the smallest, although it was quiet! Room service needs improvement--they were timely but forgot 1/2 my order and had to come back. The beds are very comfortable and that alone is worth staying in this hotel.
