"Excellent resort!"
Resort is smaller than I had originally thought but it's actually the perfect size. We had the ocean view which is great because it comes with a private balcony that faces the beach, ocean, and pool. Food was great. Only gripe was that Morgan Pier was under renovation during my stay so the restaurant was closed. All in all I would come back!

"Very hospitable"
Best customer service in the Caribbean - people are very warm and genuinely friendly. Food was good. I thought the bands that played could have played more calpso,soca or other Caribbean music other than reggae. Otherwise we enjoyed our four days there.

"Fabulous Resort!"
"All Inclusive" vacations don't have much appeal but this one is a 5 star! The resort is beautiful, staff unbelieveable, food delicious, drinks wonderful, and beach and pool were terrific! We were a bit surprised that the water wasn't the usual "aqua" color. Apparently, there were horrific mudslides during a fairly recent hurricane which caused the color change ... to be restored in time. We took a catamaran excursion to Sofriere (sp?) which was a blast ... snorkeling, food, dancing and we got to taste coconut water (with rum) for the first time .... delicious! There was an issue with the hairdryer initialy but it was quickly resolved. This hotel comes highly recommended and we can't wait to visit again!

"Vacation at St. James Morgan Bay"
Both my wife and myself wanted a quiet stay in an All Inclusive Resort in the Caribeean. Our choice was St. James Morgan Bay. At checkin there was a 25 minute wait, which was normal since others were ahead of us in line. The trip from the airport was short, a mere 10 mins at maximum. We were given an elite suite overlooking the sea, which was fantastic. Food was OK, where I will rate it a 6 out of 10. Some drawbacks of the resort are: the sea waters were not really blue as other resorts in St. Lucia, there are no really beachfront rooms as advertised on Expedia what you really have are seafront rooms, since you cannot bathe in those areas, the sea shore area is not an expansive area, rather small when compared to other resorts. Also, the vaults in the rooms carry a padlock, they are not digital, no newspapers in the lobby and last there was an empty refrigerator in the room. Some pros of the resort are: cleanliness, friendly staff, close proximity to the airport, ok drinks, kayaks and sailboats were available when required. It was an Ok vacation but certainly not the best.

"Rocking time.."
The staff, the staff, the staff... Everybody was super friendly.. From Choclate who manned the beach bar, to the Marlon pool side to Johnny & Stewert at the beach rental shack. The service was excellant. The resort was well maintained and clean. The room was very comfortable and a good size. We ate at every resaurant on site and found a nice variety of food that was presented well in a clean environment. All water sport activities were included in our stay.. Kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, great little sailing Catamarans, banana boat, even water sking. Only down side, was lack of snorkling.. Not due the resort, St Lucia's island structure not condusive to swallow reefs. Great excursions "Tranopy" with included a gondola ride through the tropical canopy, zip lining, & hiking. This was an extra expense, but well worth it..

"Awesome all inclusive"
My wife and I and the St. James's club was THE ideal getaway. Service was exceptional from arrival to departure. The employees were courteous and always willing to be of assistance. On arrival we got a complimentary rum punch after 1.5hr journey from hewannora to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy, we were shuttled to our ocean front room. The room was very clean and welcoming. King-size bed was just what we needed although the mattress was alittle too soft for our liking. Daily room cleaning was a norm. Anything more would be provided upon your request. There are four restaurants on the compound. The le jardin required dress code and small fee to dine( well worth it). the bamboo, morgan pier and the palms were free. The food served was rather appetizing with a wide variety to choose from. The restaurants were always clean and ready to serve.The bars were available throughout the day till11pm. Bartenders were always ready to mix you a drink and even surprise you with something special. You could never be bored at this hotel. The hotel has it own beachfront and four pools. Our favorite was the swim up bar. Lots of water activities to choose from sailing, banana boat rides, kayaking, water skiing etc. There is also jet skiing available from outsiders for a fee. Table tennis, lawn tennis and pool is also available. There was nightly entertainment which was great

"Nice hotel"
We were greeted by a smile and a lovely rumpunch, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was more or less comfortable. We liked the entertainment at night was ok- there was only singing not much shows or cultural presentations as other countries I have visited. The beach at the hotel was not very clear. We had to travel to Rodney Bay to get that clear water and white sand. Taxi and tours were quite expensive I found.

"Great hotel"
Gret hotel with friendly service. I feel like I became friends with most of the staff. The meals were awesome, beach clean and rooms were cleaned daily. The only downfall was it seemed like this hotel was mostly made up of couples since i was three friends going on vacation this was not ideal.

"Lovely Honeymoon Spot"
My husband and I loved our honeymoon stay at St. James Club. It was a very romantic and peaceful setting and we never wanted to leave. They offered us exactly what we came for -- rest, relaxation, romance, and a little bit of adventure. We loved the nightly entertainment in the lounge, and the swim-up pool bar. The setting at the Morgans Pier restaurant was particularly romantic. Staying around at the resort grounds was great but I highly recommend you try out a few excursions around the island as well because there are so many beautiful things to see in St. Lucia!

"Good value for the money"
This is a true 3 star hotel. We stayed in an oceanfront room which was clean; the mattress, however, was not comfortable. The grounds are well kept up. If you are going to an all inclusive for a large variety of decent food this isn't the place. While the specialty restaurants are decent, the buffet and beachside BBQ are poor to fair in quality. On a positive note drinks are plentiful and strong.

"Good all inclusive"
Nice hotel, staff friendly and always professional. Met at check in with rum punch. Food was good at the restaurants, one buffet style, one snack, and three more that say finner dinning( these three need reservation). Make reservations at the other restaurants early as they book up. Kayaks, hobie's, water ski, all included. There are many excursions available that will pick you up from the hotel. We rented a car and did some stuff ourselves, caution drivers! roads are narrow and have many sharp turns around the island . So the bad now: this was a working vacation for me, there is no business center or access to a printer. I had to print some confidential paperwork and was told to email it to hotel so they could print, obviously not acceptable. In these modern times everyone has a computer/tablet/cell phone there was only two spots on the whole resort that had connection to the internet. By the pool bar and the lobby. Problem was when more than a few logged on the internet slowed to a point that it didn't work, so many guests were having problems that it was obviously a huge problem. So overall I would recommend this hotel and the price here on hotels.com was great.

"Exploring Caribbean"
It's my second trip over the islands. Last year went to Antigua. I'm pleasantly surprised each time at the friendliness of staff, amazing atmosphere, wonderful weather and sea. Take a note that St.Lucia is quite a large island compared to others. It takes 1h20mins to get from the airport to the hotel and the road is all hilly. But it's worth it. St.Lucia is amazingly lush and green, would recommend Souffrier adventure tour (you will find in the hotel for $100). Hotel itself is pleasant - true simple Caribbean style. Beach is a gem with palms on it so that you will always find shade without the need to haunt for an umbrella. Water sports included (except for jet-ski), so enjoy water-ski, kayaking, surfing lessons. Overall do a lot of sport :)

"PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH MORGAN BAY!"
My husband and I had several issues with this hotel/resort; the first two days, our room wasn't cleaned ...housekeeping doesn't make a point of cleaning the rooms when you are out....they seem to clean the rooms when it is convenient for them. One day the maid came when we were in the room (getting beach stuff) ...asked her to come back in 10 min..she never returned that day. I phoned Housekeeping and asked if they could clean our room when we are out.....everything was ok for the rest of the week. Another issue: Excursion we paid for and planned...got up early day of..no one showed up, so I spoke to the tour agent at the hotel and she made a quick phone call..apparently the excursion was cancelled (we were not informed). We were very upset. Even though we were reimbursed we were still angry. Last but not least, I left my umbrella on the buggy and I was told that it was found, but the staff/driver didn't hand it in to Guest Services. That is called stealing in Canada! I will never go back there again. Not once did they apologize about this issue. The buffet breakfasts were very boring...same food everyday!

Beach is small and had seaweed until you walk in up to your waist. Additional $25 per person surcharge for Le Jardin restaurant at an all-inclusive resort is ridiculous especially when there was no difference in food selection or quality of service from other restaurants on the resort. Not much for nightly entertainment. Went to room by 10 every night. No electrical outlets in bathroom. Not much for kids/teens to do in evenings.

"Godd all round relaxation."
Deluxe Ocean view room beautiful, had top floor with magnificent view. Resort attractive with small but well kept beach with water-sports available free. If you're interested in snorkeling very poor off beach but Scuba Steve trips pick up off beach and are great. 2 pools in center of resort near bars very busy , personally preferred small quiet pool and bar tucked away up the hill. There was also a nice family pool which also did good lunchtime snacks, on the other side of the resort. Good choice of eating: very casual buffet and 2 a la cart restaurants in all inclusive deal plus another very smart looking restaurant at a fixed price we didn't try, had too strict a dress code for us. Breakfast very good buffet style and lovely omelettes made to order. Staff generally very friendly and helpful, especially in restaurants and bars. Entertainment very mixed, good local reggae and steel bands plus an amazing fire eating and local dance act but dreadful karaoke and staff talent night. Clientele mostly american, canadian and british, make of that what you will.

"Good (but not great) family holiday."
This was our first all inclusive holiday. The room was basic, but adequate. The bed was comfortable. The fixtures and fittings were dated and in need of some attention- one of the towel rails fell off under the weight of my swimming trunks! The general finish of the hotel was a little rough around the edges- paintwork unfinished. Swimming pools very nice- 2 allowing kids and 2 for adults- a nice balance- none were overcrowded and loungers were a plenty. Bars also in close proximity to the pools. Our only real complaints were the standard of the food, and the variable standard of the bar staff and reception staff. Food was good at the children's pool (lunch and afternoon snacks). Quality and choice was also good at the Palms. Service and quality was lacking at the Bamboo and the Pier restaurants in the evenings. The Pier, however, has a good lunch, and with the sun setting over the sea and the warm breeze blowing in, you can almost accept the poor food in the evening for the great setting. The bar staff in the evenings seemed to be having as good a time as us, and that included helping themselves to wines and cocktails too. We had an evening flight home, and all week we had asked reception for a late check-out. We were fobbed off at least 4 times during the week with excuses like 'we can't be sure of availability until later in the week'. Eventually on the morning of departure day they said we could check out late, but we would have to change rooms for the extra 6 hours.

"Our week at Morgan Bay Resort"
There was much confusion when we arrived. We had chosen, after consultation with their staff months earlier, a particular building because of our limited mobility. On arrival they wanted to put us in a different building but we stood our ground and eventually got the room we had originally reserved. The shuttle service was excellent. The drivers were superb and the shuttles were an appropriate size and in great working order. There was little concern over our lost luggage and we were brushed off when inquiring of it's arrival. Our Canadian travel clothes were hardly suitable for the hot sunny weather of St. Lucia. The food service was well done for having so many guests. It stretched us a little trying new foods (including green banana soup). We had all but two meals in the Palms restaurant, the others were one lunch and one dinner at Morgan's Pier. Items of clothing sent to the resort laundry clearly marked as having food stains were returned with the stains intact - clearly frustrating considering these were brand new clothes. The staff were the most friendly I've ever met!

We stayed here for the all inclusive experience, however the food choices were disappointing and the restaurant seating areas unhygienic. The watersports and entertainment was great, the beache was a little crowded but there are four poolas and of course the sea to bath in.

Piscines avec des limites d'âges c top car les adultes peuvent être tranquille si besoin, et il y a un piscine enfant isolé ou on ne risque pas de perturber les autres, idéal pour tous. Hôtel très américanisé ni trop standing ni trop beauf, idéal pour une famille en quête de détente. Piscines pour tous les goûts. Plage petite mais suffisante. Activités nautiques sympas. Chambres assez simples mais correctes et propres. Restauration diversifiée au niveau des lieux moins au niveau des menus, il y a pas mal de choix même si c'est très américanisé. Le personnel est charmant et aime vraiment les enfants. Pas de point décevant. Un bon séjour. Les enfants 7 et 2 étaient ravis.

"Fantastisch all inn hotel"
Prachtvakantie met fantastisch personeel ,zeer vriendelijke mensen,je kan er leren zeilen ,waterskieen en gebruik maken van de pedalo's en kano's aan het strand all inn mooie tuin ,voor een aperitief is er de toffe wolwassenen pool .kortom we hebben al veel gereist en dit hotel is zeker aan te raden . Het eiland zelf is zeer mooi met zijn natuur en huur gerust een auto en stop maar onderweg aan de vele kraampjes langs de weg de mensen zijn aangenaam om een praatje mee te slaan en niet opdringerig om te verkopen.

Très bon moment passé dans votre hôtel: j'ai déjà envisagé d'y revenir l'année prochaine pour le Festival de Jazz. A cet effet, je souhaiterais vous faire une suggestion. Compte tenu que parmi vos clients il y en a qui viennent au Festival, notamment pour les concerts se déroulant à Pigeon Island. au retour de ce clients le service du diner est déjà terminé. il faudrait laisser à ces clients, un service minimum (non pas de plats cuisinés) mais composé peut être de de sandwichs, burger etc . en effet, vu l'heure à laquelle finissent les concerts ces clients ne trouvent pas forcément un endroit 0û manger.

beau temps et chaleur au rdv mais l'hotel n'y est pour rien! Aucun effort de la part du personnel pour parler francais (réception surtout et tour desk) les soirées étaient agréables mais trop courtes. se coucher à 23 heures pendant les vacances, non!!!! pendant les heures d'apéro pas de musique, je ne dis pas un boum boum mais au moins ambiance lounge. très appréciable de faire du ski nautique à volonté. personnels des bars et des restos très sympas. la chambre qui nous a été attribuée le jour du départ, les draps étaient tachés.

"Excellent value for the price"
As an all-inclusive resort it met my expectations - and even though it was off-season they still had three og the four excellent restaurants open. There was plenty of food and drinks to enjoy from during the day. The beach is somewhat small, but there are a lot of fun and free water activities.This is a place to unwind and be pampered.
