Bit of a hike (10-15 minutes) to Gaslamp, but can't complain otherwiseGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our favorite hotel in San Diego"
The Manchester Grand Hyatt is located in a great area. We enjoyed the beautiful views and all the fantastic dining in the surrounding areas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed here for me and my husbands 8 yr anniversary. Our dinner cruise was in walking distance from the hotel and there is a lot to do in the surrounding area. We stayed on the 29th floor and had an amazing view of downtown and the seaport. The room was very clean and we had no complaints. Overall are stay was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent location on San Diego waterfront"
Had a wonderful time here (went for a conference). Excellent location; hotel conveniently situated near Gaslamp District, Broadway Ferry to Coronado Island, and San Diego Waterfront. The only issue I have is that the housekeeping could have done a better job keeping my room clean during my stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was great. And the view from the room was awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient with easy access to major sights"
Excellent hotel in a great location. Rooms have plenty of space for a family (2 adults, 2 toddlers) and the in-room refrigerator is convenient. Seaport Village is just out the back door of the hotel; the trolley station is across the street (Sea World was just a trolley ride and easy bus transfer away--very simple!); the Children's Museum and park are […] 1 block away. The rooms were clean and all hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The main pool was closed for repairs while we were there, but they opened the adult pool for the kids during this time. Sally's, one of the onsite restaurants, had absolutely AMAZING food and service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, view, and people"
Really enjoyed. The hotel. It was right across the street from the cheese cake factory and shopping area. Highly recomend the hotel for its cleanliness and hospitality.Genuine Expedia guest review
Perfect location and beautiful views of the harbor. Walk out the door to Seaport Village and a few blocks to the Gaslamp District. Accomodations were outstanding.Genuine Expedia guest review
If you stay at the Grand Hyatt you have to request a water view, it's spectacular! Espescially at night. The parking rates for guests were obscene though. It's close to harbor shops and restaurants and the Gaslamp District. Great value for a quick weekend getaway. Except for the parking fees.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed it for the one night we stayed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Another great stay"
The Manchester Grand is an easy choice. The staff is kind and the views are beautiful. The location is also super convenient - Seaport Village and the Gaslamp are walking distance. **The only complaint is the value of the parking. I can't say how much per night to park but it is not nice. It's not the money, it's the value. Seems to be saying: well, […] you have no other place to park, so more than a fair amount to park it is.** Other than that, hard to find a better choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grand is a understatement, BEAUTIFUL"
Great, friendly staff, hotel was beyond expectations! Loved the pool, 40th floor bar, fir pit, all fantastic, will stay again for sureGenuine Expedia guest review
"definitely recommend...would stay there next time"
Great time. Will stay there next time in San Diego!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic stay. Near downtown/beach/shops."
Great stay, the first thing you notice when you walk up to the hotel is how Grand it really is. The beds and bedrooms were ultra comfortable. The pier was nearby, as was the baseball stadium and downtown. The Coronado beach is a short cab/bus ride, as is Seaworld and the zoo.Genuine Expedia guest review
"San Diego trip"
Was pleasantly surprised when we walk into our hotel room. We had a beautiful view of the bay, the USS Midway and partial view of downtown San Diego. Their toiletries are from the famous June Jacobs Spa collection. Overall, our 5 nights stay was great except for a couple of nights where our next door neighbor had a all-night party!!! Maybe they should […] have a floor only for families? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Big but nice hotel near the water"
Perfect room, high up at the 22nd floor. Great breakfast buffet, beautiful hotel lobby. Not many people at the pool. One poll was closed for repairs. Top roof bar a bit dark, but has views of the sunset.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for business trip"
Good hotel for business trip, however very large and crowded. Still, good upkeep, lots of people working there to help with the big crowd. Room was overpriced and overlooked parking lot, other people I travelled with had paid less and gotten better rooms. Otherwise, overall good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great place to stay"
We have stayed at five star resorts. I can tell you as far as cleanliness and friendliness this is one of the best.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Free Parking! They let us to check-in earlier!!! 25 Floor, nice view! the pool was a little bit smaller, than we were expecting... Next to Downtown, Trolley Tours! Starbucks inside of the hotel!!!Genuine Expedia guest review

"San Diego Grand Hyatt"
We have stayed at this hotel before for a reason. Excellent location, great room, great view, etc... pictures matches the actual hotel. About what you would expect from a Grand Hyatt. Nothing negative to report. Was all good again! Will definitely stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Large, professional, housekeeping needs reminding."
Good stay, great price, nice hotel. Great location by the midway. They only minuses would be that we asked for our room to be done more than once on the same day and by night it had been passed by. Over all I would recommend it, especially at the great prices Expedia provides. Just stay on top of housekeeping requests.Genuine Expedia guest review
"San Diego Visit"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Got a great price on Hotels.com. Parking is a bit pricey especially since they have a garage. I would understand a parking fee if it was limited but it is not. I would suggest the hotel change their policy on paid parking for guest as the hotel and tourist taxes are almost a deterient on visitng the city. I would understand […] charging for non guest of the hotel since they are in a prime location. Also, a microwave would be nice in the rooms. On site resturant was great. "Amazing Hotel at a great location!"
Really, just a gorgeous hotel. My boyfriend and I spent a weekend together here and it was during a promotional time so we got it for an insanely low rate ($127/night). This hotel really has it all. There are two towers and I think we were lucky enough to stay in the newer tower- not sure how nice the old tower rooms are. The rooms are extremely nice, […] a little smaller than most other locations (but I think this is typical of SD… stayed at the W and Omni and both were just as small as this room). There are TWO pool areas. The concierge only told us about the pool on the fourth floor which is actually a family area pool. Behind the pool area are two Jacuzzis as well as a fire pit seating area that got pretty packed at night. There’s an adults only pool on the third floor that is a bit smaller but has a couple of cabanas that are super nice (and free!). There’s a basketball court on the 3rd floor, along with a small putting green, tennis/volleyball court. There are small shops and a buffet within the hotel (kind of like vegas without the pretentious jerks) and the main hall where you check in is gorgeous. Parking is a little steep at $28 a night but pretty standard in SD, but the location is prime. It’s about a 10 minute walk to gaslamp and it’s right next to the bay. The check-in receptionist offered us a view upgrade for $25 that we took and it was well worth it! Overall, great hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A GOOD CHOICE"
The hotel location was perfect for our five day vacation, close to restaurants, airport , shops and transportation to tourist attractions, the service from the staff was excellent, we highly recommend itGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is perfectly located for many of the must-see sights in San Diego. The staff were very polite and efficient. The room was clean and modern, and the hotel seemed to go out of its way to provide a huge assortment of unexpected amenities. We didn't even pay for a specific room with a view, but had a beautiful view of the bay and city. The only […] drawback that I can think of is that the pool and hot tub area had a lot of children which slightly hindered the romance of it. Definitely still 5 stars though. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best time ever..... Since last vacation"
We did a lot in SD. Got sunburned blistered feet food poisoning yelled at by a cabbie kicked out of a buffet for walking in without a reservation but went anyway. Missed the ferry coming and going back after paying for tickets. But had a awesome time. Manchester Hyatt was incredible staff throughout the whole hotel was exceptional centrally located […] and smelled like Neiman Marcus. Highest ratings to Manchester!!!! The hotel was very clean, beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is close to pretty much everything. Probably thee nicest looking place out of all the surrounding hotels. They let you choose if you want a city view or water view that was awesome! Plus parking was never a problem they charge you a flat rate so you can come and […] go as you please. "We'll be back soon, I hope!"
This hotel is massive, and really beautiful. Very comfortable, reasonably priced, and walking distance from a lot of places you might want to go check out. Room service breakfast was stupid expensive, but that was our own fault for being that lazy one morning... Overall we were really happy with this hotel and will definitely stay there again the next […] time we're in town! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"15 Year wedding anniversary."
I have stayed here before and loved the Hotel and wanted my wife to see it. We both love it and are looking forward to going back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hardly any hot water in the afternoon, not sure why. But after a long day at sea world, I was looking forward to a hot shower anda nap, and I got a cold shower. Also the people working the valet were extremely rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful Hotel and close to many attractions in San Diego.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Downtown San Diego Hotel, near convention center"
The hotel is truly "grand". Enormous and accommodates thousands. The staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful. The lounge on the 40th floor has the best view in San Diego. The rooms have a beautiful view of the harbor. Although the hotel "theme" is Manchester England and the lobby is formal, the rooms have a modern decor. The only drawback is that […] the service can be quite slow if the hotel is full. Elevators can be very slow and our room was not made up during the day, necessitating a call to house keeping in early evening to send someone to clean. Once we called they were prompt and very accommodating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"This hotel is exceptional."
This was our second stay at the Manchester Grand and it was outstanding. The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds are super comfortable, nice pillows - the windows are great noise barriers - Didn't hear anything from the outside and that goes for the walls and rooms next to us. It's worth it just to see the lobby.....Very nice accommodations - […] I would highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"they just don't care"
This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. My wife has health problems so I wasn't sure what we could do for spring break. In the end I booked one room for one night last minute, paying $400 or so for a two-twin suite with a view. We spent the day around Seaport Village and tried to check in around 2 pm. The receptionist said they were overbooked […] and would we like a living room with a roll-out couch and roll-in bed for the kids? I said no thanks, we'd like the room we booked. She spoke with her manager and said she'd text me when the room was ready. "The room I booked?" I asked. "Yes," she said. For the next 2 1/2 hours I did my best to entertain my antsy kids and sick wife and at 4:30 I tried the front desk again. Same story: we're overbooked, let me ask my manager, sorry we're full, would you like a $30 breakfast voucher? No, I'd like a refund. We went across the street to Embassy Suites for 1/3 the cost, very kid-friendly, and breakfast was included. Ten days later I have yet to get my refund. I can't wait for that conversation: we're sorry, would you like something else instead? No, I'd like the refund. Let me ask my manager... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"hotel close to gaslamp, seaport, airport & train"
hotel is close to gaslamps and seaport.. though u will hear constant sounds of airplanes and train passing along..Genuine Expedia guest review
Well maintained hotel for such a large facility. Only downside is the parking ramp which is for both valet and self-park. Most guests ignore the "compact only" designations and park huge vans and SUVs in the compact spaces, leaving very little room between vehicles.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hotel is nice, however do to the proximity to the train it is very noisy. We stayed at the 17 th floor and still was very difficult not to hear the bells when the train was arriving. Also take your time when you need to use elevators. Although there are 6 or more are not enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
Best hotel and experience in San Diego! Can't wait for next year.Genuine Expedia guest review
