"Steps to Seaport beautiful city and ocean views"
The staff could not be friendlier and extremely honest. I forgot some earrings in the room when we checked out and the maid turned them in. The rooms are perfect and the hotel is set up for both families and for couples only.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Watch out! Front desk staff are out to trick you"
I specifically reserved a "Grand Club" room with concierge privileges for an EXTRA $65 PER DAY. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that we had unceremoniously been downgraded to an "ordinary" two double room (with no view). Needless to say, this room had no concierge privileges (which the front desk staff conveniently forgot to communicate to us). […] In fact, the man assured us that everything was in order and that our room was, indeed, afforded all "Grand Club" privileges. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that our room key wouldn't even swipe into the Grand Club floor. When I confronted the front desk staff, he neither denied nor confirmed my accusations. He apologized profusely, stating that the reason why we were downgraded was because there "were no two double rooms" on the Grand Club floors. I then asked the man "why were we not informed of this?" -- to which he had no answer. Finally, when I asked to see his Manager, the man not only changed our room to a Grand Club King (with a view) but also credited our account $100 and additionally provided us free use of the Internet, clearly indicating that the guy was indeed trying to gyp us of (oh, let me see $65*4 = $260) all with the convenient excuse of "no room availability." The ice bucket was full of trash and the shower had hair. The staff was really nice. Although no one explained the valet fee upon check in either.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel right next to sea port village"
My only complaint was that house keeping came so late in the day. One day our room wasn't even cleaned and it was so late that I didn't bother to have them come.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location and very nice/neat hotel. What I didn't like is that they had no microwave in room and they require you to pay from in room Internet. I understand.... It's all about turning a profit, butGenuine Expedia guest review
"San Diego Escape"
The stay at this hotel was exactly what I needed after a tough semester. Beautiful view (thank you, Priscilla!), great location on the marina and next to Seaport Village. Walking distance to the Midway and Gaslamp Quarter. Had a massage at the spa - to die for! Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The hotel is great the only complaint was the elevators. They have 5 but only 3 was working. We got there on Friday and the 2 elevators broke on Thursday and they were not able to get them fixed . We were there for the Holiday Bowl game with Texas Tech and Arizona State. The Arizona football players were staying there along with family and friends so […] the hotel was full. It took forever to get an elevator that wasn't full or just to get one. Other than that it's really nice and the staff was very nice. It's also dog friendly so if you have one you can bring it along too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel, close to everything, dowtown, etc"
Everything would have been perfect until last night that noisy neighbords talk soooo loud that after a couple of hours I got up and went to talk with them. They moved further.....seems they had 2 rooms......but we could still hear them.....softer this timeGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great view of uss midway"
Great place. Food and parking in the hotel is expensive but near glass lamp district so lot of other cheaper options.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Christmas week in San Diego"
We stayed one full week at the Manchester Grand Hyatt (Seaport tower). Location is excellent - halfway between Gaslamp Quarter and the Embarcadero (you can easily walk to both). We had a standard room with 2 double beds. Not that big but since we were outside most of the time, it was enough for us. Bathroom was large and everything was working fine. Check-in […] was fast and we were asked if we wanted a room at the top - we did so: great view. First couple of days, we had only 3 towels but needed 4. We had to ask downstairs to get that. A bit noisy (tram, car traffic). Internet and parking are rather expensive - we didn't use any. Tip: Between 6pm and 8am, you can park on Market St and nearby for free. "Wonderful View of the Bay"
The view from this hotel was amazing -- wonderful view of the bay and it was absolutely gorgeous at night. The hotel was wonderful from the moment we arrived until we left. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge recommended a wonderful place for brunch. It was truly a great experience staying at this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not sure it was the construction but...."
Was expecting better and although the hotel was going under construction, below items leave room for improvement: - Jacuzzi - there were no warnings anywhere on who should be in the Jacuzzi. I tried going twice and had infants (without diapers) in there with parents trying to teach them to swim. Picture as an adult trying to relax only to have a child […] splash water in your face. I politely walked out and went over to the other Jacuzzi and within minutes it was invaded by teens. - Fire pits are nice but need rules once again for the unsupervised teens who decided to burn sticks and swirl them in the air. - Elevators were a disaster on the Harbor tower side. Literally lined up to go up or down - During check-out, found additional charges for 3 nights of parking. I only parked once so not sure how that was erroneously added - Check-in was painfully slow Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Wonderful place to stay"
Excellent property located walking distance to all of downtown. Never had to get in our car once we arrived. Breakfast on property is excellent, beds are luxurious, there is nothing to complain about except for the elevator wait! We were on 26th floor and on more than one occasion we entered the elevator to go down and it was almost full upon entering. […] 14 of us. The elevator stopped at every floor to open for more passengers but it was so cramped no one else could get in. If I wasn't sick I would have rather have walked the 26 floors each time than ride the elevators. The wait to go up was very long. However, this could be seen as a testament to how many people love the hotel and want to stay ther! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location near touristy harbor and transpor"
Can't be beat for facilities, location, and clean/modern rooms. Especially liked trolley station right across the street and Seaport Village shopping and restaurants (including Ben and Jerry's) right behind the hotel. Good flat-screen Samsung TV and recharging station on desk. Sign up for Hyatt Gold Passport at front desk and get your in-room Internet […] free (instead of outrageous $12.95 per day). "Great Location to downtown /easy walking to fun ar"
We spent Christmas in San Diego (Manchester Hyatt). Did the usual "tommy tourist" things. Had great nibbles at SALLY'S, wonderful dinner at ASTI'S on 5th St. and a supper buffet at the Manchester Hyatt on Christmas day. All-in-all a great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Overall, this is a nice hotel located near a seaside park. The stay was comfortable. I liked the breakfast buffet. We were impressed by the grand lobby area. Hotel bartenders were very helpful with area attractions and served excellent drinks. Concierge was always helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel has a great location, close to the Gaslamp Quarter, however, they charge for wifi, breakfast, and parking. I also had a cold shower one morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
Loved everything about the Hyatt, the only negative was being in a premium room for my wife and I'd wedding night and it being a connected room with really loud neighbors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent service but expensive extra fees"
Excellent staff and service. However, the fees seemed a little too much -- $28 for overnight parking and $12.95 for less than ideal Internet service (videos weren't streaming consistently).Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall our stay was great! I don't understand why valet charged us $40 a day on top of all the tip we gave for getting and parking the car. Too pricey and we were not told that when we arrived.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for a weekend to visit my son and catch a football game. The location was convenient to all the tourist spots. The hotel offered a lot of amenities and we spent a few hours at the spa. Very relaxing. It was great to start the mornings with a walk around the marina.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, great staff"
We found the Hyatt Manchester to be extremely convenient - a short walk from the Amtrak station, event shorter stroll to the trolley (which we used to get to Qualcomm Stadium for the Chargers game), and a nice walk to the Gas Lamp district, where we had dinner. Beautiful views over the harbor - in fact there is a bar on the top floor that has excellent […] views. Staff was extremely helpful (we were able to check in before noon!) and the Sunday brunch was good. The rooms are starting to look just a little dated. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing customer service!!!"
I stayed with my 4 year old for 3 nights and this hotel is fantastic!! It is quite large so if you're looking for 'quaint' you won't like this place. The lobby reminded me of hotels in Vegas. "Great Refuge by the San Diego Bay"
Very comfortable beds, great view of the water, nice to have mini-fridge and ability to make coffee and tea in our room. Yummy shampoo/conditioner and soap products. Only issue- the workout facility was closed for remodeling but the Marriott, located next door offered its huge facility for free. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Corner King Rooms Rock"
The hotel is great -- the views amazing. Convenient to gas lamp -- nice pool/hot tub. Nice running paths. Really enjoyed my stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall it was a nice stay. I just take issue with a few things: 1) They charge you $1 for every phone call you make from the room, even if it's a local call, which I think is ridiculous. Considering how much the room cost, local calls should be complimentary. 2) There is a also a surcharge to use the internet in the room, which is again ridiculous. […] Why can 3 star hotels afford to provide high speed internet for free and places like the Grand Hyatt cannot? 3) A movie in demand is $17.95 and self parking is $28-- again ridiculous. For such a nice hotel, some basic costs should be included or lowered. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
