It was the worst EVER ! The sheets were filthy. I Left a tip and ask for them to be changed ( so I could actually sleep on them ) I came back to the room and pulled back the sheets to find SHOE PRINTS right where I would lay my head The sheets smelled like dirty hair .The staff was rude I called them from the front desk lobby phone at about 10 am to […] report my key wasn't working They left me standing there for 15 minutes before I called them again They said they were in the laundry room and I would just have to wait letting me in my room . When I go to Seattle, I need to visit the entire area, from Tacoma to Marysville, so lower priced SeaTac area hotels are usually my choice. They are generally all on the Hwy. 99 corridor and they are all pretty much the same. Not so for the Marina Inn. The price is comparable to the Hwy. 99 places, the location is comparable too, but the atmosphere […] is completely different. Stroll down to the marina, watch the sunset, eat in the waterfront seafood restaurant...it's extraordinary! The hotel itself, hallways, not drive to the door. The Location of the Marina Inn is really nice, a couple of blocks from the Des Moines marina, and within walking distance of several nice restaurants. The hotel was clean and comfortable and staff relatively professional. The breakfast was weak and only saved by the waffle machine.

I felt right at home. It isn't a fancy hotel but the room was large and loaded with amenities - refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, tv, wireless internet, and a couch and work area. I slept great and really appreciated the nearby marina and parks for exploring.

The room was very clean, which is always my main concern. The lobby and interior of the common areas smelled musty but that was not in the rooms themselves. The front desk woman was very friendly although it appeared she was the only staff working when we checked in. The only real complaint was that she gave us a room (and a key) to a room that was […] already occupied. The front desk worker was extremely apologetic. Thankfully, only the other guests' luggage was in the room when we entered otherwise it could have been extremely awkward. Privately run smaller motel in a very quiet area yet close to seatac. Shuttle service was on time both ways and brand new vehicle was left in their lot for 8 days. No issues. This isnt luxury by any means but if you need a safe and QUIET place to crash before your early Seattle flight it's a great deal.

this hotel was perfect for our needs: somewhere to stay in Des Moines that was clean, comfortable, and economical. We slept like hibernating bears because the room was so dark and quiet, even though it was on the ground floor facing the parking lot. it's not luxury, not fancy, but roomy, clean, and does the job.

Clean, quiet, reasonably priced motel within eyesight of Puget Sound in Des Moines, WA. Beds are fine and rooms are large with everything you need. The only complaint I have is the towels are very thin.

I reported the issue to the night staff and Lisa was very rude about the whole situation even hanging up on me when I asked for her name 2xs. I was surprised that the bed was as comfy as it was. It didn't look great, but it wasn't as rock solid as it appeared. Hubby called it "firm" but I slept well. The hotel is in an awesome location... Bed was very uncomfortable, sheets would not stay on bed, lights in bathroom shut off on their own WHILE I was in the shower.Towels actually hurt your skin when drying You are paying for the location. I would not stay here again or suggest it to others.

Our room was tolerable, but was in need of updates/renovations. The bathroom tub - had remains of what once were 'slip guards or safety strips", but now appear as 'dirty stripes" that cannot be cleaned or removed.

The beds were the worst beds I've EVER laid my body on (I swear they have never been updated). Smells like smoke all the time even though it says non smoking everywhere. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The carpet and comforter could have used a steam cleaning, but that's not all that unheard of in hotels. The nearby restaurants were good, and the staff was happy to direct us to a great diner. We didn't rise early enough for the free breakfast, but I didn't hear any complaints. All-in-all, I'm happy.

Quite stay, great price. Room had some water drainage problems - sink and tub did not drain water well. Room was also fairly warm. Had to run AC whole time, which made little difference. Welcoming and warm service. Good proximity to variety of restaurants and water front.
