"perfect location great neighborhood"
I will return when traveling to Portland in the future. The staff were very courteous and most helpful. I find absolutely nothing that needs improvement.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was too small. The walls was so thin that the noise from the stairs could be heard very clearly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Will stay again"
Perfect little hotel right outside all the busy traffic. Quiet neighborhood and excellent staff. Room wasn't ready at check-in but they were finishing it up as I arrived. Loved the free oatmeal and OJ. Toilet knob broke and was fixed right away. Great place for a great price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"look for a different place to stay..."
Location was goood, but the room was pretty terrible. It claims to.be 'an apartment hotel' however my room was a bed, night stand and a small table. Absolutly no counter space which leads to no floor space as both my boyfriend and my suitcases were on the ground right next to our bed since there was not even a small closet space. The ground was a fake […] haedwoodt which looked cool but wqs incredibly cold. Also no counter space in the bathroom and I found a bunch of hair in the bathroom, it looked like they Barley cleaned it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than I expected"
The lady at the front counter was so nice! She welcomed me with cookies and coffee which was great. I stayed at the inn building across and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The floors are made of wood so it was really great for my allergies. The location of the hotel was so close to the bars, just took the bus which was one block away. There […] were also many bars around the area which were great. Plus parking was free!! Would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really Friendly and Helpful Staff...great place to"
I enjoyed my time there. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. The rooms themselves should be updated...especially the couch and living room area, but it was clean enough and it was nice to be able to have the kitchen, etc. during our stay. I would stay there again with friends because it was a nice set up and very close to […] great restaurants and little shops. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was perfect for our vacation needs and wants. The bed a pillows were very comfortable. The room was equipped with a flat screen TV that we enjoyed watching while winding down from our fun adventures. And the room/shower was perfect for getting ready for our day. We received exactly what we expected; a hotel room that could meet our sleeping […] and getting ready for the day needs. We also really liked the modern look of the room. Oh, and it was at a perfect location for walking downtown or to surrounding neighborhoods. We would definitely come back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I love this area"
Park Lane Suites is really close to the Alphabet District and there are a lot of conveniences within walking distance - groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc. I would highly recommend booking a suite instead of a room if you're going to be staying in Portland for more than 3 days.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Starting to Slip!"
I have stayed here before. This time I noticed a few changes. The front desk used to be more attentive. Now when you call them on the telephone, they don't answer. Coffee in the lobby sits empty. When you check out, they give you a copy of someone else's bill. The maids have gotten sloppy as well. There is nothing more fun than jumping in the shower […] and noticing that the maid hasn't replaced the shampoo or shower gel! There seemed to be a constant battle between me and the maid as to who was supposed to wash my dirty dishes. The hotel needs minor repair work that doesn't seem to be being done at all. The fan in my bathroom sounded like a jet taking off. It scared me every time I turned it on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"3 night stay"
Overall, the room was OK. Nothing special, yet neat and clean. There were three of us, two adults and one 10yr. old. It seemed a bit crowded moving around in the room with the two beds. Also, there wasn't a closet and our wet coats dripped on what ever was underneath them. One other down side was the sound of walking around from the room above us. On […] the other hand, the place met our needs for convenience. We stayed in the INN rooms across the street from the main lobby, so didn't get a chance to experience what that was like. The suites must be in the main building and has better access. Again, it was "OK", but I think next time I might spend some more and get a place right in downtown just for the ability to walk around downtown without a short drive and crazy time trying to park. Close to Max Rail station for Red Line to PDX. Very nice neighborhood.. Room plain but clean and linen was first rate. Coffee and cookies available all day was a great plus. Professional staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, minimalist room"
Good location, in Goose Hollow neighborhood near soccer stadium. Walking distance to downtown and to Washington Park. Free, easy parking. Room was clean and neat, but relatively small and completely lacking in character (first room I've stayed in that had nothing on the walls). No closet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great motel stay"
Second time there. House keeping is a bit lax, but overall, a very nice place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was pretty disappointed. I thought i had booked a room with a kitchenette but that was not clear. WHen I checked in the clerk pointed in the direction of my room but did not make it clear that it was in an entirely different building- across a road- which would have been nice to know while carrying luggage. When I asked the housecleaning crew for […] directions, they stopped giving each other backrubs for a moment to answer. It was a disappointing first impressions. Lots to see and do within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was very helpful with any requests we had. The 2 bedroom suite was a great value, and the kitchen was stocked with most everything we needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent Short Stay"
I booked the suite at the Park Lane Suites and Inn for a weekend. Staff members were very nice and welcoming during check-in and my stay there. The suite has a kitchen (generously equipped with utensils) which included a microwave, stovetops, refrigerator, sink, and dishwashing machine. The kitchen is great if you have leftovers or want to make your […] own meals. The only thing that was not so great was the cleanliness of the room. I found strands of hair on the pillow cases. Some of the towels in the bathroom didn't look very clean. The plumbing system seemed a little bit off because the water did not drain as fast in the shower. Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the location of the inn - good walking distances to a lot of restaurants and reasonable driving distances to other locations. "Good Stay. No Frills."
A 90 second check in. So good! I liked it. I could hear the hi-heels of the upstairs check in which was a little crazy but not too much. We walked to Powell's Books. It was a good hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"An interesting part of Portland that is not normally encountered"
Diamond in the roughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were stuck at the hotel room for a day due to snow & ice. Therefore, we upgraded from the regular room to the suite. It made our stay even better as we could spread out and work on business. We were able to walk to the Trimet Maxx and take train to see family in Beaverton as well as walk to restaurants on NW 21 & 23rd. Love that whole area. Downtown […] is convenient as well. The hotel concierge were the kindest, caring people who made our stay wonderful. Thank you! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This gets a resounding "Meh". I went out during the big February winter storm and was snowed in for a week. Had I been in a suite, it may have not been so bad, but I was in the inn. No fridge, no microwave, no way to heat the leftovers we had to eat because of the lack of being able to go out. I could beat the lack of fridge because it was so cold I […] could just set my drinks out on the walkway for 20 minutes. The front desk was helpful. Overall, I'd go back there if I could get a suite or if I got a really killer deal. As it stands, probably not again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Great Stay"
We stayed during an intense snow storm and immediately were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen. "Decent Place to Stay"
Park Lane Suites was just as we expected: Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. There was always coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and cookies in the main building, which was all very appreciated. We were there during a rare bout of snow and ice, so the walk up that steep driveway was treacherous, but we managed. "Convenient and clean"
This place had everything I needed, and nothing that I didn't, really. It's basic, but it does that very well - everything was clean, I was in a safe neighborhood walkable to all of downtown, there was good water pressure (on the second floor of the second building, across the street from the main lobby), and the towels were thick, fluffy, and not […] scratchy. It's a great option in Portland. Love the free parking!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As everyone has said, for the price this hotel was in a great location. The rooms were basic and spelt like bleach so at least we know it was clean. The walls are paper thin so we could hear everything going on around us. No tub at the Inn. All in all pretty decent hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pots and pans in the room looked used and unclean. I dropped something between the wall and mattress, I pulled the mattress out just enough to get what I had dropped and I was horrified by what I saw. There was so much dirt and dust and a used tooth brush that looked like it had been there for years and was covered in dust. I asked the front desk […] for an extra car tag for the two cars we had during only 2 nights the stay, her response was absolutely unacceptable and extremely rude. She started by saying "are you kidding me" Then turning around grabed a tag and said "here, we usually only give one so if you leave and here is no spot too bad." I was very disappointed with how I was treated and the cleanliness of the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Located within walking distance of Pioneer square (about 15 minutes), it is very basic (coffee in lobby only but very clean, with excellent beds and the front desk clerks were efficient and nice. "Nice location - good price"
This is an older hotel in a nice area of Portland - walking distance to parks, shopping, retaurants and downtown Portland. I stayed at this hotel in a suite with a friend and we thought it was great to have a kitchen of our own. It feels a little outdated, but everything was neat and clean. "Decent Place not too far from DT"
I would say the service was really good. The employees were super friendly. I called in to see if my room could be ready early, day of, and it was all prepared when I arrived! I was also able to leave my bags check out day because I had a late flight. The condition of the place was decent, nothing fancy but nothing gross. It definitely doesn't look […] as nice as the pictures but the price is hard to beat. It's easy to get to places via bus, MAX, and walking. Like a 15-20 minute walk to DT (depending what part of DT you're trying to get to). The buses are really close though, so you could just hop on that! I didn't get 2 queen sized beds like I requested, but since I got my room early...I can't complain. The pull out sofabed was a bit lumpy and sunk in the middle, but it wasn't bad. The curtains facing the parking lot need to pull all the way though, it definitely let in too much light. And the heater was super noisy. I'd still recommend this place, especially for the great price and service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Peaceful stay, charming neighborhood!"
The hotel was clean, well-maintained and my stay was very peaceful. I came for an extended weekend to work on a book I am writing; this hotel was perfect for it. I'd return again anytime. "No frills, but clean and convenient"
This hotel was just as the reviews had promised: it was clean and frill-free. The room had been updated, and everything was shiny and well taken care of. The only problems I had were with the forced air blowing heater at the window that cycled on and off noisily, and the too-light blanket on the bed. I solved the former by turning the heater off to […] sleep, and solved the latter after I woke up shivering at 1am by removing the blanket from the other bed and piling it on top of me. We stopped by for a nights rest along our road trip to Canada. Very clean and friendly service. Parking was a little tight and elevators were tiny but nothing too bad. I enjoyed my over all stay and would not mind staying again. ThanksGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected"
Website and hotel don't match at all. This was more of a glorified apartment building. No amenities to speak of. Not really close to anything...no blankets. The telephone was straight out of the 80s...couldn't wait to leave.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Noisy building, uncaring staff"
Walls and sound insulation are very thin here: One hears not just footsteps resonating from overhead, but much of the sound (granted, some of it rather loud) of the upstairs guests' intimacy. Add to that the desk clerk's comment the next day to the effect that we should expect that, at the rate we paid -- fairly cheeky for a place that bills itself […] "as a serene and relaxing setting where practicality and discretion take center stage." And the rate we paid was a single-digit percentage less than some of the high-end hotels were offering that weekend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Was Very Pleasantly Surprised, Highly Recommend!"
I just needed a place to overnight as I was in town for a class. Without knowing to much about locations or taking into consideration anything much else, I chose the Park Lane Suites because it was a great price and the pictures of the room looked clean and updated. It was really well located not to far from the heart of Portland in the hills, which […] was kind of nice. I stayed in the separate, across the street, two story, portion which has been recently updated so it had hard surface floors instead of carpet, the bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and everything I needed, including better-than-is-typical soap and shampoo. Also, it had more updated contemporary furniture, table and chairs, and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. I understand the main building is not as updated for whatever that is worth. The staff at the front desk was really helpful when I called to get directions from where I was. When I asked for suggestions for where to eat, I got some really thoughtful and helpful ones so had a lovely evening walking over to a high end pub sort of restaurant in the neighborhood. It was nice arriving late at night after a long day of driving and having to concentrate on hours of seminar, to find some tasty cookies at the front desk, which made me feel very welcome. There is coffee and tea and cookies available in the lobby all day long. The lobby in the main building is very comfortable with books and newspapers around to read. "Good value hotel - great location"
Hotel was in a perfect location for my needs. Room comfort was disappointing because there was no chair in the room, only beds. There was no countertop in the bathroom, and the small shelf over the sink was coming off the wall so that it was tipped down and wouldn't hold anything. The WiFi was spotty, at some times of the day in was not possible to […] connect. When I could connect, the service was too slow to be usable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
