"Clean, but just a very basic motel room that was spruced up"
This place consists of 2 buildings, a taller one, which looks & feels like a normal hotel...and another one across the street which was an old style motel with outside facing doors, TINY room and thin walls! We were placed in the motel room building, so my review is about that. They did a nice job sprucing it up giving it a more modern flair than what […] you would normally find in such a motel room. Upon entering it smelled of bleach, so not a welcoming smell, but it was clear they kept the place clean. I had a room with 2 double beds - Very small rooms. The heating/AC unit was loud. Bathroom was clean and worked, but the fan in the bathroom was LOUD and Rickety sounding. The towels were clean, but pretty threadbare and rough. The mattress was comfortable, but surprisingly, the blanket was pretty thin/light. There is NO CLOSET in the room, so no spare blanket to throw on there, so you find that you need to turn up the heat a bit to compensate. In addition, there is no iron & ironing board in the room, so be prepared for that. As stated earlier, the walls and ceiling are very thin. We heard EVERYTHING from above & next door. They do have free parking, and neighborhood seemed safe and quiet. Overall, I didn't feel the pics I saw on Hotels.com offered a clear picture of what we were getting into when we reserved it - esp the motel rooms. So, my overall impression is that we were charged for a better quality place, but got a lesser style room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Monastic lifestyle for you?"
To say the accommodations were sparse is to be a bit generous. Two beds, dresser with a TV on top, sink, shower, toilet. Hairdryer in one of the drawers. One table between the beds. Coffee in the lobby. Check in was efficient, room was clean, view was fabulous, but no place to sit but on the bed? Really? The other issue was base of the bed extended […] beyond the mattress size, creating the perfect opportunity to smash a toe or two up against it. I think between the dresser and the bed base, the room claimed three toes, just in the one night. The hotel is a very short cab ride from the Pearl District and in a quiet neighborhood...not a totally negative experience, but I don't think it was worth the money. The hotel is in a great location, close to downtown and in the Pearl District. Clean rooms, modern furniture and (my wife said) the best shampoo and conditioner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Place to stay"
I was surprise to find a nice place for an affordable price. The staff was super friendly, the room was super clean, and the staff attentive to my needs. I stayed at the Inn across from the suites, and I can say I will definitely stay there on my next trip. It had all the basic I needed during my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great suites-- exterior could use some work"
The suite itself was excellent. The outside of the building is in less than impressive conditionGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent stay at Park Lane Suites!"
Everything about the room was very clean and the service was excellent. The WiFi access was great and we were able to watch movies on Netflix. We really didn't watch much TV since there are so many awesome things to do in Portland and we were out pretty much every night. The kitchenette was handy and the full-size fridge was great for all of our leftovers. […] Since we stayed for 8 days, we also cooked a couple of meals in the room. The bed was very comfy and there wasn't much noise at all. At night, totally quiet (and we were close to the elevator, too). Next time we're in Portland, we will definitely be staying here again! "Cozy, almost perfect."
Spent one night in a large suite here, part of a cozy getaway. Enough space to really unwind, and the kitchen really made it easy not to have to leave the room when one wanted to lay about. Great view of the city, quiet. Water pressure/temperature on the 5th floor was a little low, the only downside.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Central location in Portland. You're walking distance to restaurants, downtown, and the water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the best, not the worst."
The rooms were very stylish and clean. Updated not long ago and done well. I found the room a little bit tight, specifically I kicked the bed leg while walking to the bathroom twice. Thankfully I had shoes on or it would have hurt! Complimentary water was nice, bed comfortable, plenty of towels. This is a nice hotel, if a little unique. There was some […] late night activity, but nothing that felt dangerous. All in all, if you just need a comfortable bed in a nice room as I did, I recommend the Park Lane Suites and Inn and will likely stay there again myself. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a NOLA feel."
This was a great place for us because we wanted two bedrooms and a small kitchen. The rate was great for the space $150 when most rooms in the downtown area with one bed were about the money. Not really downtown but close for walkers. We will stay again if when we return to Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location bad service."
They say free parking but there is not enough spots for guest. There is also no paid parking in the neighborhood. I needed up having to park about a 1/2 mile away from the hotel. All they did was say sorry. It sucks. Thanks for nothing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"overall a good experience"
i ended up with an upgrade for a 'suite' with a kitchenette and it really made my life good. the lobby, the elevator, the room were good, clean and comfortable (the oatmeal for breakfast was great!!), but the corridor was concrete, a glorified motel and just out of my door i had a magnificent spider web. a bit of work on that area would do great for […] the hotel. but i can't complain, my stay was really comfortable, the people were really helpful and the location was unbeatable. "Great hotel and great location"
The suite was spacious and clean, and the location was great. The nearby Alphabet district has good shopping and restaurants, and the middle of downtown is accessible by a long walk or public transportation. Based on the quality of the hotel, location, and lack of extra parking fee, the price is tough to beat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Weekend Get Away"
Nice place for a weekend stay. Modern and clean. Easy to get to all the great restaurants in Portland. Watch out for the platform beds--deadly to knees!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There are suites and rooms. I thought I had booked a suite as that is what is shown on the website and I was not aware there was a difference. The room was pathetic. The manager did move us to a suite which was roomy and nicer. The bed was lumpy and the place is somewhat beat up. Chipped toilet seat..tub not clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't judge a book by it's cover."
I was surprised for two reasons. One, it was the cheapest rate I could find for a room on New Year's Eve, and two, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, amenities, and the fact that each room was a full suite with living area, well appointed kitchen and separate bedroom/bathroom area. The outdoor areas of the building looked a little shabby […] but the rooms were quite clean and comfortable. It would be a perfect place to stay with kids or for business travelers. Having Peets Coffee and Zupan's Market within walking distance was a bonus as well. We knew everything would be crazy for dinner on NYE, so we bought deli salads and had dinner in our rooms. We also enjoyed having the NW 23rd St. shopping area within walking distance as well. If I ever need a room in downtown Portland again, I will stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very well lodging option in Portland"
The hotel is very well located, close to trimet stations and restaurants by walking distance. We loved that Walgreens is across the street. Very close to Washington Park. However the parlkng lot was full in new years eve and we didn't have a spot to park our car but the frontdesk personal really concern to find out one. The lobby was really nice place […] to be after all day we always went there to relax listen jazz, have a cup of coffe or tea. Wifi is free and works well. Flat panel TV at rooms. All personal are very kind. It's a good option to stay in Portland we will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cozy & convenient Portland Inn"
This cozy hotel was convenient and comfortable for a longer stay in Portland. Public transportation and the airport were easily accessible from the hotel. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was conscientious and friendly. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room (not available in standard rooms).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My favorite hotel on our trip"
Some of the previous reviews were confusing. I think it was because there were actually two hotel units. One has the suites, and then across the street is a 2 story motel building. At the last minute we changed our reservation to a suite, and I am really glad we splurged. With 4 of us (2 parents, 2 teens) it made all of the difference. We had a room […] on the 5th floor, and with the hotel on the hill, the views were great. A very functional kitchen (dishes pans, even dishcloths, and came with free oatmeal and orange juice the first day) combined with Trader Joes down the street mad it a great value. Also had free parking, lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance and the park with the Famous rose garden just up the block. Minor quibbles were the bathroom door kept sliding open if not latched carefully, and there were only 3 chairs for the table., Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Satisfied not to repeat"
Friendly staff, old hotel in an old part of town. Clean but outdated and a bit over priced. Picked this hotel as the suite actually has a separate room, great when staying with four adults and you want privacy. Would not choose to stay again as there are more modern opportunities with in the price range down townGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Don"t be put off by apartment style building. It LOOKS as if there is limited parking. But not so. We were on the top floor. The view was great. As former Portlanders, we appreciate the great location in NW Portland. Great shops and restaurants. Hotel suites are basic but very adequate for simple meals. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. "Comforts of Home"
This was my second stay at Park Lane Suites. It's ideal for visits with my son in Portland. We enjoy hanging out and cooking in the well-equipped kitchenette and there's plenty of room to relax. We were several hours late arriving and somehow our two bedroom suite had been given away. There were three of us traveling on a weekend get away so the clerk was surprised to see us come in as he thought we were going to be taking a one queen room. He rose to the occasion and found two one bedroom suites and then gave us the choice of keeping the two […] rooms or moving into the 2 bedroom suite the next day. The rooms were very clean (carpets cleaned just the day before) and had a small kitchen area with a full sized refrigerator and all the necessities if you wanted to stay long term and cook in. Orange juice in the fridge and oatmeal were there as a welcome first breakfast. The pillows were excellent and the toiletries in the bathroom were some of the nicest quality I have seen in a while. It was a bit farther from the downtown area, closer to Powell's books and a reasonable hike to the Pearl District or a fairly cheap cab ride to pretty much anywhere. They also have dog friendly rooms. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Northwest Neighborhood Gem"
Take a moment to get past the cinder block, assisted living esthetic and you will find that this is a comfortable, safe, quiet place to stay in the area of Northwest Portland. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is second building across the street for which I cannot vouch but the second floor rooms in the main building are a good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for."
The suites are far superior with great views of the city and Mt. Hood. The inn across the street is more a motel with very sparse and minimalist appointments. But, if you want a clean, simple room near the NW neighborhoods, this is a good choice. There is no facilities associated with the hotel, e/g/ exercise room, pool, spa, etc. No breakfast either. […] But the hotel has a nice lobby with hot drinks, cookies and fruit always available. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Our favorite PDX hotel!"
We love staying at this hotel! The price is so affordable when booked in advance. The rooms are very modern and stylish. Very minimalist room (no fridge, coffee maker, etc.) but we didn't need that. Our only complaint was the heater broke and it was freezing. Very helpful staff and awesome location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just like home"

I really enjoyed my stay. I was strictly only there because I needed some sleep but I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the comfort of the beds. I was also satisfied with the fact that the hotel room was already warmed up for me because it was so cold outside.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
