"Nice place, great location, wonderful staff"
We spent 3 nights at the Park Lane Suites and Inn. The location is wonderful for enjoying most of downtown Portland. The front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful. Our room was a bit dated but it was very clean as well as large as it had a living room, efficiency kitchen and bedroom. For a 3 day stay is was quite nice to have all the space […] even though we weren't in the room much. If you are looking for a boutique experience this isn't quite it but it's a great value for the money. I would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Third year, third visit, will return"
This property is older and not flashy, fancy, or especially memorable. However, it's a wonderful location for the things we like - Washington Park, alphabet district and Nob Hill neighborhoods. The staff is nice, friendly, helpful. The service remains a bit hit-and-miss, in that if you're still in your room when the housekeeper comes by you are unlikely […] to get your room serviced that day unless you specifically request she return. Also, replenishment of basic supplies - dishwasher soap, bathroom toiletries, etc. - does not happen routinely, and they do mean it now that if your towels are on the rack they will not replace them. And finally, we were on the fifth floor this year and the water pressure was disappointing. We were there for a full 7 days this year and have no real complaints. It's quiet and low-key and perfect for travelers like us who use it as a launch and basecamp for our adventures. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good in NW Portland"
Most economical option in charming old Northwest Portland. Easy walk to everything, including downtown. Nothing fancy, but there are very few hotels in Northwest Portland, and all are more expensive (and nicer, if you need something fancier).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Maybe the "Suites" side is nicer. The "Inn" side is old school door-on-the-outside motel with a bedroom and bathroom. While everything was well kept with furniture and appliances all seeming new, there was no desk or chair. And I paid as much as I've paid for major brands such as Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Garden Inn. Worst part of stay was the […] toilet that ran constantly and did not flush but sporadically. Reported the problem on morning #1 (at the front desk, in person, as no one answered my call from the room) but it was not addressed. They have a pressurized system, I was told, and you can't just flush it a second time, right away, I was told. It's been running our whole stay, wasn't flushed all night and it still didn't flush on morning #2, I responded. They finally seemed resolved to investigate but it was the end of my stay. I can understand there can be some confusion with their system — I opened the tank on night #1 to stop the running and found a system I had never seen before — but just as it (apparently) causes confusion for guests when it's actually working as designed, it apparently causes confusion for staff when it's actually out of order. Anyway, a high-priced motel room with a toilet that didn't work and a staff that didn't believe it didn't work did not add up to a good experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was in walking distance to different restaurants and shops. The Staff was very nice and offered us an upgrade because we had a bicycle with us to store. Very clean suite...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great quiet neighborhood"
We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood had many shops and places to eat. Parking was easy in the lot. Comfortable bed and very quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is within a mile of downtown shops and restaurants. Our rooms were located across the street from the main hotel and they were clean and comfortable. The only negative aspect was it was a little noisy when other tenants were coming and going.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to great sights"
Wonderful, knowlegeable and helpful staff, Close to bus and trolleys. Rarely needed to use our car while therel Comfortable rooms and free parking. Rose garden and international garden within walking distance as was great area for restaurants and shops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is near enough to food trucks, restaurants, Japanese gardens that you can walk. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet, simple, close to Washington Park"
It was a nice, quiet location, with very simple amenities. Close to Portland's extensive public transport system.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Basic hotel, great location"
This hotel was ok. Nothing fancy, but clean and great location for 23rd access. It's the type of place I would've paid only half the price for outside of the city, but considering it's location and the cost of other hotels in the area, it was pretty good. The free parking and wifi make it a bargain in his area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful Experience with the Basic Necessities"
The Park Lane Inn and Suites were perfect for what we needed in Portland, OR. We stayed across the street at the Inn and the rooms had "no frills" but were extremely modern and very clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel was close to restaurants and a short distance by car to other activities. Stay in a Suite if you want luxury. […] Stay at the Inn if your looking for a very clean, modern bedroom with no extras that you probably wouldn't use anyway. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in the "Inn" part of the hotel, which is across the street from the main building. The room was bizarre. Completely bare walls, no shelves in the bathroom or counter space (it was a stand alone sink with one tiny shelf above it) and not even a place to put soap down in the shower (no tub). It felt very cave-like, as the floors were vinyl or […] something with no rugs and again, not a single picture or anything on the wall. I get the modern, edgy feel that I think they were going for, but it felt like being in a weird storeroom or something. Wouldn't go back. Fabulous location though. "Park Lane - great location"
Great location for the price. Rooms are clean, very Eco-friendly. Beds are a bit soft so ask if another is available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room and bathroom"
The bed was a Queen, the bedroom was very small. The bathroom was right by your head as you were trying to sleep. So if any one went in to it you were right there to hear. Also the door was a slider and it would not stay closed. You had to place a wash rag under it to hold it open. So all and all it was not a great experience and we would never stay […] there again. "Clean and Comfortable Room"
We were looking for a reasonable room rate in Portland, close to an area that we could walk to shopping and amenities and we found it at the Park Lane Suites. Room was very spacious and clean. There was a kitchen for making breakfast. Plenty of room for a family traveling. The rooms must of been updated recently because they were very nice and new. Great location. Walked pretty much everywhere we needed to go downtown. Place looks a little old on the outside, but the rooms are updated, nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My boyfriend and I had never been to Portland before, and I booked this hotel based on the reviews here. I'm so glad I did, because we found one of Portland's hidden gems! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood beats staying downtown. Not only is it a quiet neighborhood, it's a less than five-minute walk to great shopping and […] dining as well as Washington Park, which provided beautiful views of the city, as well as access to the famed Rose Gardens and Japanese Gardens. Downtown was a quick walk away, and there were multiple buses that can take you back to half a block from the hotel (although we opted to walk in an attempt to work off all of those Voodoo Doughnuts!). Seriously, opt for this hotel, and get a suite. It's worth it. You'll feel like you have a home to come back to after a day of exploring. We plan on returning as soon as we can! Perfect hotel for events at Providence Park. Good receptionist. Room neat and clean but sheer curtains therefore not very private! Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Expensive for what you get.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Office staff helpful but over worked . No pool, no breakfast, great shower. Bed was good. Parking cramped but available. A bit pricy but given the location in the heart of Nob Hill not bad I guess. if you are visiting west Portland I recommend this place .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice city Hotel/Motel"
The Park Lane met our needs for a place to stay in NW Portland. No amenities, no fridge, no coffee maker, no closet, no iron. It was clean and plain. We did have a view of some of the city from our window. It is within walking distance from the Pearl District, and there are many interesting shops along Burnside and on 21st NW. "A fabulous place to stay (especially for families)"
We have stayed at the Park Inn and Suites two years in a row now and are super happy with the place. The staff is incredibly helpful and the accommodations are perfect for families. The only teensy drawback is that the two parking lots are pretty minimal, so if you find a spot, be sure to leave your car and use other methods of transportation for the […] rest of the day. The area around the hotel is almost all residential permit parking, so you would either be paying to park or be in for a long walk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel has small apartments with kitchenettes and a separate bedroom. No breakfast, but they do offer orange juice and a special Oregon oatmeal if you like that. "Fun and convenient location"
Had a great girl's weekend. Easy walk to Nob Hill/23rd St with plenty of shopping and delicious food (Get ice cream at Salt and Straw -- it is amazing). Couldn't check-in early, but they were happy to hold bags for me. Got WiFi to work for some but not all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Suite in great location."
This is a true 2 bedroom apartment that was converted in to a hotel. Near fantastic shopping and restaurants and beautiful Washington Park. We had no problem finding a parking spot in the lot. "Great Hotel for the price"
Great hotel for the price. It isn't in the middle of downtown but that might be a plus since there are so many areas to see in Portland. Just a 5 minute walk to the bus and 10 minute to the train (and providence park). The staff was very friendly and the guy who helped us check in spent a good amount of time to take out a map of Portland and highlight […] areas that are worth checking out, and how to get there. If I had to say there was a draw back it was the curtains. We were facing the sun in the morning and they don't have blacked out curtains and they just have see through curtains. That means my sister and I were up when the sun would come up, or at least have to cover our face with blankets or pillow. Aside from that,, it was a great hotel and well worth the price. "Great for price"
Booked here last for a last minute for a one night stay in portland. Location is great, everything to see in the burnside district is within walking range, less than one mile. It's a little difficult to get too due to the design of portland streets, and the parking lot was full by 9pm, so you have to park on the street. "Good Place to Stay Some Stuff Too Small"
Pros: The hotel is nice inside. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and very helpful. There are cookies, fruit, water, and coffee available for free in the lobby 24 hours a day. The lobby has a little sitting area, good for catching a snack. Walking distance to lots of places to eat, a grocery store, and a Wells Fargo with ATM. […] Cons: The outside looks like a roadside motel. The parking lot is a steep hill with tiny spaces. There is extra parking across the street, but the spaces fill up fast and there aren't many of them, so if you come in late, you may be out of luck. The elevator is really tiny. Depending on the size of your party and their luggage, it may take you two or more trips up. The "pocket" door on the bathroom never really shut all the way, so hopefully you're well acquainted with your travel partners. The WiFi only allows two connections per room for 24 hours - a problem if you each carry a laptop, a tablet, and a cell phone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"noise from above"
We stayed in a first-floor room in the Inn--a separate building. The room was clean and large, but thin walls led to a cacophony of noise from above--midnight, 3:30-4 am, and 6-7 am. Uncarpeted flooring contributes to the problem. In the morning, we could hear the TV clearly through an adjoining wall; our neighbors likely heard ours the night before […] (sorry). Left very tired. Hope the management will address this noise problem. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"5 min. walk to light rail, interesting neighbohood"
Located in Goose Hollow, a funky neighborhood about a 15 minute walk uphill from the center of downtown Portland. The Park Lane Suites & Inn is a good budget alternative to the big "corporate" hotels downtown. My room was in the annex across the street, and while nothing to write home about in terms of looks, the room was large and comfortable, and […] quiet at night. Great pillows too! "Great Location for Soccer and Nob Hill"
Location was great with free parking. Nob Hill shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Soccer stadium is just two blocks away. Hotel is dated. Check in was painfully slow. Rooms weren't ready when we tried to check in at 3 PM. Checked in later that evening.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The location was great. Not knowing Portland at all I felt lucky to find the hotel in such a great location mainly from reading reviews. The rooms are basic.
