"I love this area"
Park Lane Suites is really close to the Alphabet District and there are a lot of conveniences within walking distance - groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc. I would highly recommend booking a suite instead of a room if you're going to be staying in Portland for more than 3 days.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Starting to Slip!"
I have stayed here before. This time I noticed a few changes. The front desk used to be more attentive. Now when you call them on the telephone, they don't answer. Coffee in the lobby sits empty. When you check out, they give you a copy of someone else's bill. The maids have gotten sloppy as well. There is nothing more fun than jumping in the shower […] and noticing that the maid hasn't replaced the shampoo or shower gel! There seemed to be a constant battle between me and the maid as to who was supposed to wash my dirty dishes. The hotel needs minor repair work that doesn't seem to be being done at all. The fan in my bathroom sounded like a jet taking off. It scared me every time I turned it on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"3 night stay"
Overall, the room was OK. Nothing special, yet neat and clean. There were three of us, two adults and one 10yr. old. It seemed a bit crowded moving around in the room with the two beds. Also, there wasn't a closet and our wet coats dripped on what ever was underneath them. One other down side was the sound of walking around from the room above us. On […] the other hand, the place met our needs for convenience. We stayed in the INN rooms across the street from the main lobby, so didn't get a chance to experience what that was like. The suites must be in the main building and has better access. Again, it was "OK", but I think next time I might spend some more and get a place right in downtown just for the ability to walk around downtown without a short drive and crazy time trying to park. Close to Max Rail station for Red Line to PDX. Very nice neighborhood.. Room plain but clean and linen was first rate. Coffee and cookies available all day was a great plus. Professional staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, minimalist room"
Good location, in Goose Hollow neighborhood near soccer stadium. Walking distance to downtown and to Washington Park. Free, easy parking. Room was clean and neat, but relatively small and completely lacking in character (first room I've stayed in that had nothing on the walls). No closet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great motel stay"
Second time there. House keeping is a bit lax, but overall, a very nice place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, comfortable place to stay"
Overall a positive experience. I was in a suite, and found that the stove-top burners were not working when I checked in. They had it repaired in a couple days, but I assume they would have been quicker had I expressed more urgency about the matter (I only needed it to heat water, and the microwave worked for that). There were a couple times when I […] wasn't sure if I would get a parking spot in one of their lots. They have somewhat limited parking access, which I assume means, during busier periods, that some of their guests are scrambling to find nearby street parking. The WIFI access was iffy at times, but generally ok. That's it for the 'negatives'. This is located in a nice area, within easy walking distance to quite a few things. The facilities/furnishings are a little dated, but they were clean and confortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I expect to visit Portland again, and I will definitely consider staying here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I was pretty disappointed. I thought i had booked a room with a kitchenette but that was not clear. WHen I checked in the clerk pointed in the direction of my room but did not make it clear that it was in an entirely different building- across a road- which would have been nice to know while carrying luggage. When I asked the housecleaning crew for […] directions, they stopped giving each other backrubs for a moment to answer. It was a disappointing first impressions. "Quiet & close to downtown!"
Location was great! Room was clean and quiet. If you stay on the 'Inn' side ask for a room on the 2nd floor! Great views of downtown and within walking distance of the Pearl District.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Doesn't look like much from the outside..."
...but the room was VERY clean and comfortable. The only thing I did not enjoy was having to walk across the street in the rain to the lobby for a coffee each morning. Other than that the location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops and taking public transportation downtown and to the Pittock Mansion. I would definitely stay there agai […] n. "Great area and lovely people..."
We've stayed at Park Lane many times. Sometimes in the suites and sometimes in the inn. The inn is not as well appointed but has always been just fine--more than fine. I found the bathroom to have a tilted fragile shelf above the basin and one broken off towel holder. The big towel holder was fragile too. But--the staff was fantastic when we wanted […] to be more secluded from the beginning, so maybe we got a room that needed some repair. Love the area, love the price. "Decent Short Stay"
I booked the suite at the Park Lane Suites and Inn for a weekend. Staff members were very nice and welcoming during check-in and my stay there. The suite has a kitchen (generously equipped with utensils) which included a microwave, stovetops, refrigerator, sink, and dishwashing machine. The kitchen is great if you have leftovers or want to make your […] own meals. The only thing that was not so great was the cleanliness of the room. I found strands of hair on the pillow cases. Some of the towels in the bathroom didn't look very clean. The plumbing system seemed a little bit off because the water did not drain as fast in the shower. Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the location of the inn - good walking distances to a lot of restaurants and reasonable driving distances to other locations. "Modest hotel walking distance to shops/restaurant"
This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is important to note there is a hotel side and a motel side. We stayed on the hotel side and had the one room suite. Our room was pleasant enough but dated. The couch looks to be from the 1980's, so I question the cleanliness of it. I would strongly recommend the hotel side and a top floor. It […] can be quite noisy and the walls are rather thin. The door to the bathroom is a sliding door and ours would not stay closed and there is no lock so that was a problem. We had to put a shoe at the door to keep it from sliding open or you had no privacy. With all that being said, we would still stay here again. For the price, you can't beat the spaciousness of the suite and the full kitchen, should you want to eat in. It is also centrally located to downtown Portland, so we were able to walk to the Nob Hill area and the Pearl district. The staff at the front desk was also very friendly. "Good Stay. No Frills."
A 90 second check in. So good! I liked it. I could hear the hi-heels of the upstairs check in which was a little crazy but not too much. We walked to Powell's Books. It was a good hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"An interesting part of Portland that is not normally encountered"
Diamond in the roughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were stuck at the hotel room for a day due to snow & ice. Therefore, we upgraded from the regular room to the suite. It made our stay even better as we could spread out and work on business. We were able to walk to the Trimet Maxx and take train to see family in Beaverton as well as walk to restaurants on NW 21 & 23rd. Love that whole area. Downtown […] is convenient as well. The hotel concierge were the kindest, caring people who made our stay wonderful. Thank you! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This gets a resounding "Meh". I went out during the big February winter storm and was snowed in for a week. Had I been in a suite, it may have not been so bad, but I was in the inn. No fridge, no microwave, no way to heat the leftovers we had to eat because of the lack of being able to go out. I could beat the lack of fridge because it was so cold I […] could just set my drinks out on the walkway for 20 minutes. The front desk was helpful. Overall, I'd go back there if I could get a suite or if I got a really killer deal. As it stands, probably not again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfy, simple, nonsense!"
Had a great stay here. Feels more like an apartment than a hotel- which I like. Simple but nice room. Quiet. A 5-10 minute walk from the noise of downtown. Friendly front desk staff. "Decent Place to Stay"
Park Lane Suites was just as we expected: Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. There was always coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and cookies in the main building, which was all very appreciated. We were there during a rare bout of snow and ice, so the walk up that steep driveway was treacherous, but we managed. "Convenient and clean"
This place had everything I needed, and nothing that I didn't, really. It's basic, but it does that very well - everything was clean, I was in a safe neighborhood walkable to all of downtown, there was good water pressure (on the second floor of the second building, across the street from the main lobby), and the towels were thick, fluffy, and not […] scratchy. "Good location near Portland center"
The room in the annex building had the absolute minimum of amenities - no microwave, no fridge. The room was probably the smallest motel room we have ever seen. No breakfast in main building, which is an apartment hotel, but coffee, tea, cookies and fruit in the lobby. Nice sitting space in the lobby with book to look at and read.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Clean, modern, affordable accommodations"
I stayed in the suites across the street from the main hotel. The room was small, but very clean. It felt like my own little apartment! I was able to park my car for free just steps from the room. Free wi-fi. Wish I could've stayed longer!Genuine Expedia guest review
As everyone has said, for the price this hotel was in a great location. The rooms were basic and spelt like bleach so at least we know it was clean. The walls are paper thin so we could hear everything going on around us. No tub at the Inn. All in all pretty decent hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pots and pans in the room looked used and unclean. I dropped something between the wall and mattress, I pulled the mattress out just enough to get what I had dropped and I was horrified by what I saw. There was so much dirt and dust and a used tooth brush that looked like it had been there for years and was covered in dust. I asked the front desk […] for an extra car tag for the two cars we had during only 2 nights the stay, her response was absolutely unacceptable and extremely rude. She started by saying "are you kidding me" Then turning around grabed a tag and said "here, we usually only give one so if you leave and here is no spot too bad." I was very disappointed with how I was treated and the cleanliness of the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Handy and comfortable"
In the Nob Hill section of Portland. The building - converted apartments - is dated, but has everything needed for settling right in. Walking distance to downtown Portland and to the trails and gardens of Washington Park. The management is very environmentally conscious (think Portlandia) and the staff is helpful and sweet. We had a light and a fan […] that needed attention. When we mentioned this, the staff was grateful to know, and the fix came in a couple of hours, with a nice note from maintenance. Parking is free - a huge plus this close to downtown. We'll plan to stay longer next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Located within walking distance of Pioneer square (about 15 minutes), it is very basic (coffee in lobby only but very clean, with excellent beds and the front desk clerks were efficient and nice. Beautiful room and view. All the implements you need for the kitchen. A great home away from home. Oh, comfortable furniture.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed at this hotel in a suite with a friend and we thought it was great to have a kitchen of our own. It feels a little outdated, but everything was neat and clean. "Decent Place not too far from DT"
I would say the service was really good. The employees were super friendly. I called in to see if my room could be ready early, day of, and it was all prepared when I arrived! I was also able to leave my bags check out day because I had a late flight. The condition of the place was decent, nothing fancy but nothing gross. It definitely doesn't look […] as nice as the pictures but the price is hard to beat. It's easy to get to places via bus, MAX, and walking. Like a 15-20 minute walk to DT (depending what part of DT you're trying to get to). The buses are really close though, so you could just hop on that! I didn't get 2 queen sized beds like I requested, but since I got my room early...I can't complain. The pull out sofabed was a bit lumpy and sunk in the middle, but it wasn't bad. The curtains facing the parking lot need to pull all the way though, it definitely let in too much light. And the heater was super noisy. I'd still recommend this place, especially for the great price and service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
