It is located in front of the ocean, close to many places but nothing close that I would walk to. The hotel is old but looks really great. It has been remodeled. The entrance is very impressive. The personal is helpful and kind.

We got there a few days after the transition from intercontinental to crowne plaza. It would have been nice to get an email or some sort of notification that the hotel was changing names. Nice hotel otherwise. Took forever to get a drink and food by the pool and bars in the hotel but the people were very nice.

The staff were great and our room had a lovely balcony with a wonderful view of the water and the city. The restaurant and hotel was under rennovation and even with a temporary room used for the restaurant, they could have made it more comfortable and attractive. It felt like we were in a conference room which I think it was.

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Most of hotel is old, dated and in disrepair. Pool are is nice. Fitness center is adequate. Breakfast is fair. Staff is friendly. Wifi is good. Location is good if you want to be in this area and is close to the colonial zone. Hotel is ok if you get on the cheap.

our stay at this hotel was great, the view from our window was really beautiful,. the staff were so polite and helpful. the only complaint is maid forgot to leave coffee in the room but overall it was a great stay

Hotel is remodeling lobby and parking garage entrance during my stay, but was not in my way or a problem. Everything worked and was clean. No issues...Be prepaired to pay for any water or candy in refrigerator. Walk to supermarket and pick up supplies if you are there for couple days.

The hotel is in good condition, the service from the personnel es excelent. It is in front of the ocean so nice views from the room, and it is safe to walk around as there are other hotels and restaurants on this street. If your business is on the other side of the city, you will have to cross through heavy traffic at rush hours.

The location is perfect but all else was disappointing. By U.S. standards the hotel on the putside and in the lobby has the look of a four star hotel but rooms are more the quality of a three star hotel, perhaps a Holiday Inn or Comfort Suite. The view of the ocean was disappointing. The phones did not work well if at all. The door lock latch was broken. […] The room service food was disgusting. When they changed my room, they temporarily misplaced my luggage. When I checked out, they could find my Expedia profile and credit card information, so I paid for incidentals with Dominican pesos. This hotel is mainly for people who are out in Santo Domingo for business related events. This is not a "hot spot" for any younger people, however about less than a mile away and walking distance you can get to the Colonial Zone and enjoy endless food and drink places. You have to be careful when you decide to take your walk to the Colonial Zone though, […] I would not recommend it after dark. The area is a bit "sketchy" you just have to be alert because you will most definitely stand out that you are the "tourist" when you are outside. The pool at the hotel, I saw, was cleaned daily about 7:30am so it is very well kept. The pool area also has a Whirlpool, a bar and many lounge areas; great view of the ocean as well. There is a breakfast buffet in the mornings...you're better off ordering A la Carte, as I found it was cheaper. Read more

The hotel looks old from the inside. it needs some refurbishin. I had a higher expectation of the hotel. Well located in front of the sea, but the street can be quite noisy at nights. Not very good security based on the fact that anyone can go up to the rooms. If I had to choose, I would stay somewhere else.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The surrounding area is a little noisy with car horn going off all the time. Not much to do in the immediate area. The restaurant was great for breakfast or lunch but not for dinner. All meals were over cooked. Pool area was nice.

Hotel has very good restaurant, plenty of variety of food. The service is very good, but sometimes they mess up the rooms. The SPA is awsome, and pool is very nice, with a great sea view. Rooms are kind of old, but kept in good conditions. Gym is free and has good machines. Wi-fi is a little shady, had to stand next to a wall to get it.
