The hotel/motel was great for the money. The building is older, but the room looked to have been recently painted in nice colors, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfy, and the indoor pool was great after spending time in the car during the day. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. No complaints here.

The hotel has remodeled most of its rooms and they are quite nice. The beds are super comfortable and they have nice Samsung HD TVs in the rooms. Showers heads are passable. Seemed like they had low flow shower heads to conserve water. Everything else was nice

We visited Chattanooga for a Jr. ROTC competition. This was our first stay at a Microcell. It was good they had.some smoking.rooms. The rooms seemed small but there were 2 queen size beds. Staff were very nice. Room had fridge. and microwave. Price.was.excellent.

Why would have a commercialdoor on the bathroom the toilet had a stain on it and a comforter and blanket was nasty and not clean and there was not much room to move around and when I say I want a room with a bathtub I want to get my kid a bath not a shower

We are not sure what room type you may have selected but all of our rooms other than those that are handicap accessible do include a shower with a bathtub. I went to get a pop from the pop machine next to the pool and it was filthy and so was the candy, chips machine...I saw someone cleaning the entrance door but they did a poor job...The people on staff seem to be friendly and wanted to make my stay a pleasant one but the upkeep of the place bad it unpleasant for me...

Perfect place to stay for must see sights and downtown concert. Barely a 10 minute drive to everything we did! The only complaint was the traffic noise in the early am was very loud. But would definitely stay here again because the convenience and the price out weigh the noise!!

The location couldn't be much better. It's a short walk from the aquarium and the Children's Discovery Center which were our primary destinations (and, indeed, are *always* our primary destinations in Chattanooga -- we love those places). In addition, some of the restaurants (The Public House on Market Street in particular) we like are walking distance, […] too. The room was a bit smelly, though -- when the heat turned on, there was a faint burning smell, and the whole room was just a little musty. This is kind of standard for hotels of this price range, but its still a little disappointing. There's not much else in the area that's in this price range, so we'd probably stay here again. We were very happy with our room. Housekeeping staff wee excellent. My only need was that I think new mattresses are needed desperately. As I mentioned to the desk clerk. And I was told that they were getting new mattresses within weeks. So that solves any problems I might have. Next time in Chattanooga, we will find our way to Days Inn Rivergate.

I remember staying here a couple of years ago and it wasn't bad at all. However, over the past 2 years, this hotel has gone downhill fast. We had to request new sheets on both beds because there was hair all over them. We also had to request clean pillows, as the ones we had appeared to have tobacco spit stains on them. Also, there was what appeared […] to be either blood or feces down the front of the toilet, which we just decided to clean ourselves since we knew we would clean it adequately. Otherwise, the room was adequate at best. I tripped a breaker while blowdrying my hair. And there was a lovely view of the dirty, covered up pool outside our door. I would say you get what you pay for, but there are several hotels cheaper than this one in Chattanooga that are much cleaner and more comfortable. toilet was noisey and ran long. turned heat on during first night and smoke alarm went off. next day smoke alarm kept going off. Had to call maint. Fitted sheet would not stay on bed. we will not stay there again.

The location was perfect. While visiting my daughter at UTC I was in close proximity to the campus. The food at the diner was beyond excellent. What's Up? That is how the young woman at the front desk greeted me. Usually, I am asked, "How may I help you?" I would have thought her question appropriate if the hotel was a new, fresh and hip place. I read the previous posts about there being a smell by the front lobby. I thought, "Surely they would have resolved this issue." They have not. The […] rotting carcass smell is pungent and seems to come from nowhere. The lobby was as promised on previous posts - in need of an overhaul. My research kept me going - just get to the room; their renovated rooms will be worth the trek through the valley of death. I was wrong. The room had not been renovated recently - sans a new modern desk chair. Disappointment sank in as I recalled saving a few bucks. I would have gladly paid an extra 20 or 30 bucks to stay in a relaxing venue. The people were nice; the location is good, but the owner needs to invest in the property and staff. The cleaning crew used dirty water to clean the bathroom and rarely reached behind the toilet and never behind the door. The noise did not bother us at night, but our room was not against the highway. In the morning, the rush hour traffic was loud - no sleeping in. The pool was clean. I thought to myself, "You get what you pay for", but I have stayed in better Days Inns before. Yes, they are motels and tend to be outdated, but they have always been clean. I have never experienced the negatives associated with this motel in any national chain before. Read more
